I passed by the store and decided to go in. The staff were really nice and they have so many varieties of sketchbooks, spray paint, gouache, posable dolls, etc. Overall it was really good( you can also test SOME of the supplies if youre unsure about them!).

For the size of the place they had a very good selection of materials. I do oil painting and they had a good variety of paint, good brands and the right price. They also had a good selection of pencils for drawing. So it is clear they make a good effort to supply those of us that are serious about art. Definitely recommended.

Discovered this place while driving by DTLA’s shopping district. Fantastic selection and great prices on tons of art supplies. Also have wonderful “surprise bags” that make excellent gifts. During the Covid lockdown, you order ahead online and just call when you’re out front to quickly pickup your order safely. All happened within an hour for me.

We visited their new space and took a certified Bob Ross landscape class. The owners are delightful, but even better, theyre very effective people who get things done and know their stuff. The store is stocked with more variety than we could have expected, and its available to browse online, too. Great place!

Lower prices than Amazon for most things, and in art supply things - raw materials has so many things. The folks who work here are equally awesome and helpful (like you can ask questions about products or what products to try for a specific project youre working on without fearing that youre being judged). ☺ ooo and theres a discount if you spend over a certain amount - I forget how its tallied but anyway, its an added savings. They moved and their new location is larger (I think) and only a short walk from the underground. ☺

I was in the area and showed up when the store opened... except it wasnt. Okay fine, someone is running a little late. Well, this person showed up twenty minutes late, moved as fast as traffic on the 405, and didnt say anything. Im in the store and her friend/co-worker shows up and they proceed to spend the rest of the time talking. I go to make my purchases and they dont even stop to talk to me. WTH people I dont go to a cramped store in the middle of downtown so I can get LESS assistance than a big box store. Especially with OTHER AMAZING art supply stores in central LA.

As an artist there are other options but why would I go anywhere else? The staff are knowledgeable and ready with helpful suggestions. The prices, discounts and sales cant be beat! There is inspirational art and murals all around that gets an artist in the right frame of mind to CREATE!

So far its been my go to for art supplies! I recently bought a traveling pencil pouch and sketch pad. I love the quality, other places charge too much for cheaper made products.

I recently had to run back and forth from Santa Monica to Downtown LA for large numbers of home decor arts and crafts (sands, stained boxes, flower arrangements, fabrics, jars etc)for my boss. Multiple trips in one day for the last two weeks. Jim was very reliable and I couldnt be more thankful and appreciative of his loyalty in making our transaction flow so smoothly! We stopped by with a car load the first encounter and realized the 3- 6ft x 4ft white frame canvass wouldnt fit. Jim didnt mind holding onto them a bit longer even though he had already taken them out. He even stayed after hours because we were running late due to LA traffic!! This is the type of service I think is missing in the big city vibe and I would love to see it revived! Thanks for keeping the love alive!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 STARS

The best thing about the store is that its open on Sunday. Just saver if you have a pin-up on Monday and run out of paint or ply-board. Greatly appreciate week round schedule.
