A RAT chewed and ate the wiring in the engine of my fairly new MercedesI had to replace the entire Wiring Harness. It involves so much work and hours. It is a nightmare job. I have taken all my cars to G & N Motors, over the years for mechanical work and there is no mechanic anywhere that compares. Most of the shops are crooks and not to be trusted. I would trust George, the owner with my life. They do wonderful work there and his word is gold. If he tells you something needs to be done to the car, believe me, he is telling the truth. I have met other clients at his shop when taking or picking up my car and most of them have been going there for over 25 plus years. That should tell you something. And I never met a client there, that did not love George, the owner. The people that work there have been there for years, as George is good to them too. It is like a family there. No need to ever go anywhere else and this is all true what I have written. If you go there for work to be done on your car, you will be writing the same review.

This shop has crooks for mechanics and robbed me of $1400.00. I was told they replaced my fuel pump, only to have my car stop in the middle of the freeway a week after they lied and said they replaced my fuel pump. I took my vehicle to Mercedes Benz of Santa Monica and had it inspected.The fuel pump had never been replaced!! They refused to give me a refund and basically stole $1400.00 from me. The owner car held my car for weeks and I was told that they replaced my fuel pump. The owner used to be trustworthy, but the thieves that he has working for him are not!!! PLEASE do not let thesevthieves get to your car and you money!!

Excellent service, however, I had my car towed after an accident but before the accident Triple AAA replaced my front battery 2weeks before and my radiator fan and coolant tank was working, however I was told that the new battery from triple AAA was not working and needed to be replaced and I would be charges $2800.00 for replacement.I will need to inspect the work tomorrow before I can provide an unbiased report.

George knows classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles unlike any other Mercedes Master Mechanic I’ve met in my 25 years of Mercedes ownership. He’s always able to diagnose and repair my car properly the first time. His small shop is WAY busier than M-B of Beverly Hills just a few miles away, so be sure to make an appointment in advance. While you won’t get the loaner car or pasteries like the dealer offers, what you will receive is better work at more reasonable prices. Extremely honest shop. Glad I was recommended to him by another classic Mercedes owner.

George and his team are top notch. Ive been going to G&N with my 2003 E320 for close to 3 years and Ive never been disappointed by their level of service. Theyre very knowledgeable about Mercedes (being a certified shop and all) and can perform all services for your Mercedes. Ive met many of Georges customers while waiting there and some of them have been going to this shop for almost 30 years with all their Mercedes needs. Its quite an achievement when you have such long-time customers that trust you in your work. It makes me want to make sure that when I buy my next car, that its a Mercedes so I can have it serviced here and not the dealership!Now, as long as Mercedes doesnt screw up and keep making amazing cars, I will be a customer of Georges for life. Chris is also an amazing technician there (Georges lead tech). Theyre all such nice guys there, and run a friendly shop and all of their prices sound insanely reasonable for the great work they do. They even pick you up and drop you off if youre within a certain mile radius. Cant beat their service. Sometimes you may have to wait a little bit, but hey, theyre busy with work and cars arent easy to fix, and its good theyre busy because so many people trust them, so cant go wrong going here.

Hes making good on my 1969 Classic that was placed in storage without him being aware of the fact that it was collecting dust..I made him aware of my Baby Benz and the issues to be corrected. He is doing a GREAT job replacing what is necessary & I thank him dearly for that. Companies dont generally go out of their way to satisfy & I cant say enough for what he is doing at this time to get the fine tuning all in place with a car that he has serviced for years. I have more then one AMG and Mercedes-Benz and sometimes the treatment varies between the car I am in at the MB dealership.G&N treats all their clients with care and professionalism - from something simple as an oil change to computer diagnostics. I have a 1989 560SL, and I became a huge fan of George at G & N (hes the man there) when he was able to fix the turn signal that I had paid three other shops to do, only to have those other shops repairs fail after only a few weeks. Turns out the steering column was out of alignment, but none of the other shops noticed that. Gorge fixed it and it has stayed fixed. Since that time, he has proved himself to be an outstanding mechanic with other outstanding mechanics in his employ. Most of all, I admire him because he is very fair, even under-priced, in his pricing and an honorable and helpful technician who stands behind his work without question.I was moved to write this review because it is so hard to find an expert Mercedes mechanic that charges reasonable rates. George is that man. I recommend him highly without reservation.

Here is why I am giving G&N Motors 5 stars. The 5 year warranty on my S63 Mercedes Benz had just expired when I needed a light replacement. So I took it to the dealer and all of the sudden the car was in urgent need of repairs. They told me the problems were dangerous and needed immediate attention then hit me with a $5,000 estimate. It seemed strange since I just took it in 2 months ago for annual maintenance, either they didnt want to do the work while it was still under warranty or they are making things up. Of course I wanted to get a second opinion, so I went to this independent shop. They are Bosch certified and the mechanics are factory trained Mercedes Benz technician. They took a look and I was happy to find that half of the repairs were not necessary. I was able to get what was needed fixed. My car runs great and I saved thousand of dollars. What more can I say.

Drove to LAX for a weekend convention from Central California. Had the check engine light come on in San Fernando Valley late Thursday. Called G & N early Friday and took it in. With several cars already there, within 5 minutes they had it on a tester. Within 15 minutes, I had an estimate. Five hours later they had replaced all the spark plugs and wires and the car was running strong. I was afraid wed be stranded out of town, but G&N really saved our trip. Got home with no problem. If we lived in the area, wed use G&N all the time.

2006 ML500 replaced transmission. I spent $3000 at OTHER SHOPS replacing a propeller shaft (Drive Shaft), bearings, rear half shafts, bushings and shocks trying to get rid of a vibration at 45mph before my transmission finally gave out. No one could diagnose the real problem, which was my transmission was damaged. After the trans finally gave out (stuck in 1st gear) I had the car towed to a euro garage friend of mine to have the transmission problem diagnosed. Since he is not an expert on Mercedes, what he could tell me for sure was that I needed an expert shop to fix it. I called several dealers and a couple of independent shops. The dealers wanted from $9600 to $12,600 to replace the transmission. The 2 indie shops I talked to were the same. I found G & N Motors on the internet because of their work on the electronic controller unit of the Mercedes 722.9 transmission. I spoke with George, described my problem and had my car towed to his garage. He gave me frank honest options; fix for a couple of thousand and no telling when it breaks down again (because the planetary gears were damaged but still operational), or replace the transmission with a Mercedes-Benz factory rebuilt trans with an MBUSA 2 year warranty. My cost from G & N was approximately the same as the cost of the parts cost quoted in the $9600 lowest quote, previously received. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the re-manufactured trans to come from Germany. When he got the trans the car was ready in 2 days. They also went through the car and fixed some lights and replaced one of the batteries, so I had no more error messages. The car runs like new and I have had no problems in the 8 months since G & N fixed the car. I have met other car owners at this shop who swear by G&Ns work as well. Mercedes parts are very expensive, so you need a real expert to tell you whats really going on with your car so you dont blow up cash on unnecessary parts and repairs. Dealer repair shops should send their mechanics over to G&N to be properly trained. I live 122 miles away from G & N and I wont take my car anywhere else now.

Had high hopes for this place based on reviews but was let down eventually.I have a 450SL that needed work. After a inspection made an appointment the next week to get the safety-critical work done. Show up to the appointment to be told they didnt have the part in yet. Spent ~ 2 weeks calling, asking when the part was expected, then calling back on the day mentioned to hear it wasnt in yet.Been over a month since the original appointment and still havent heard from them.They did do an inspection for free and helped with a quick fix on the convertible for free, hence why I kept trying when things started going down hill but after a while it wasnt enough anymore and I got it fixed elsewhere.

I used to hate taking my Mercedes-Benz in for service. Why? because I have a classic 1970 benz 280s and second is I am a woman. It was like mechanics were out to get me. Mercedes repairs are expensive, and it was always something. That changed when I found G&N. The owner, George is such a nice man. He never overcharges me. Like the last time I went in for a repair. It turned out my Mercedes only needed a fuse changed. They fixed it and didnt even charge me. Now that I found G&N, I am not going anywhere else.

I took my 2001 CLK AMG 55 to a dealer for Mercedes repair, but decided to get a second opinion before getting the work done. Thats when I went to see George. I was glad I did because not only did I save a lot of money, but I found that he explained to me in detail. It turns out I didnt need all the parts the other guys were saying I needed, so I saved a couple grand. George is a real pro. He has my trust and I feel completely safe taking my Benz to him. Not it runs perfectly.

I stumbled onto G&N Motors by chance on Google, looking for something completely unrelated (paint repair). I drove over anyway due to the rave reviews here. Right off the bat, I was greated by George, who immediately made me feel welcomed. I described what was going on and remembered that I also had a minor brake problem with my 06 SL500. A technician took my car for a test drive and afterwards when I was in the waiting room, George came in and described the problem clear to me and advised that although my brakes were still relatively new, there was a problem with the way the pads were making contact. With dealer experience in the past, this would have been an over $1K job. Instead, George gave me some options and actually advised me to pick the lowest cost option that would solve the squeek. He recommended this and I went with it and I was blown away at its effectiveness. Incredibly, he didnt charge me to address the brakes and even fix a headrest issue. Wait what? FREE? Believe it. I offered to pay, and he wouldnt accept, smiled at me and said its okay. I actually tried to think of what else could be wrong that I could get G&N to service me and charge me for. Again, he wouldnt charge for it. George had the most kind and sincere smile on his face throughout my service and said there was no need to charge me for the service. I couldnt believe it. I still cant believe it. An honest service center not bent on taking advtange of customers? If youve ever been gouged out of money, pushed over at customer service, and just feel scared to take your car into a shop or dealer, then you can throwaway all your fears. G&N Motors is honestly THE best place I have ever taken ANY car to. Bar none. I cant say enough about George and his team. Every single positive review here is truthful -- If you love your MBZ, George and his team will prove to you that great service and great people really do exist to help.
