Great food, huge beer selection and cool vibe. Our first time visiting, take a minute to register and get a tap card, use the tap card for whatever beer or beers you want up to 32oz or day. You pay by the ounce at the end of the meal and they can give you a report that shows what you had and how much. Easy to track what beers you like. The food was great, fresh burger, tasty fried cauliflower, pretzel balls tasty and the mac and cheese was perfect. Kids are welcome, upstairs/downstairs and inside/outside seating choices. Great stop before a game or next time you are downtown!
Pretty cool little Tap Room. They have a line of taps, you serve yourself what you want and how much you want and they charge by the ounce. You link a tap card to your credit card that measures how much you drank and you are charged accordingly. They have a limited menu for food, but the food came out great. A good spot for a socal drink and a bite to eat.
I didnt go for the beer so I cant comment on that other then to say that they have an enormous selection! I dropped in for a small plate. I ordered the popcorn cauliflower and Angel wings. The cauliflower was amazing and I will be returning for more! The wings were pretty good too. The ranch dipping sauce- - -OMG! A plate of the mac & cheese passed by and for sure Im going to order that on my next visit.
Great service and tasty beer. Would love to come here after the limited options have lifted because the full menu looks amazing! Very thankful this place is open amid everything and the staff members are dope!
All i ask for is pls update the service hours online pls i drove all the way to DTLA went in and everything for them to say it was closed ... update service hrs please that would be great thanks
Fantastic location.Huge beer selection. The food is good and has many TVs to watch sports. I wish there was a big TV outside or pointed towards the patio area so I can come and hang with my dog.The staff are the friendliest. Mark was very helpful and showed us how everything works. The only downside is that I don’t think these cups and machines are accurate. It is slightly expensive. It said that I had 52 ounces. I’m like that can’t be real. I should be blasted if I drank that. I hadn’t even been to the restroom once yet.Good spot but I pass on it.
Good foods, great beers! Always changing selection.
Great outdoor patio space for these pandemic times. When it opens back up, theres a hundred taps that you can freely try out with a card payment system. Lots of beers (more stouts and sours than Ive seen in DTLA), ciders, and even kombucha!
Seriously excellent beer choices here. And our server was freaking excellent. Lee really knows his beers. Even though we’re still in covid times - dining outside in the extreme cold, and with the nearby fire station occasionally blasting fire truck sirens - our server Lee totally made up for it all.
Good place to go for a good beer before enjoying a game at Staples Center
Very friendly staff, a great selection of self pour beers, wines, and kombucha and decent food too. Highly recommend
Great spot in DTLA. Staff is awesome, choice of drinks is awesome, food is awesome. If you haven’t been you need to go
Post covid beef selection was generic only had 8 beers, food completely limited, service was good
For a beer drinker with commitment issues (sorry, honey!) this place is a dream. Cool space. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. And more self-pour taps than Ive seen anywhere in LA or otherwise. Taps are mostly beer (duh) but also a handful of wines, a couple ciders, kombucha, and even seltzers for you Claw fiends. Everyone will go home happy. ...and tipsy. Just want to try 6 ounces of Hop Slam to say you got it earlier in the season than most? Thats whats going on in my picture. Cant decide between sauv blanc or rosé? Go crazy and try half a glass of each. And as a thrifty beer guy, I did the math-- Prices per ounce actually equate to pretty much what youd pay at other bars downtown- roughly $7-9 for a 12-ounce. Oh and they just started trivia nights on Wednesdays. But dont show up of youre too good. 😉
I really liked it here, its so nice that i can try sips of different beers to see what matches my taste. Food is average priced for what you get in downtown restraunts nowadays although i havent tried it or seen the food portions. Beer selection is good. First they check you in like to verify ID and then they provide a glass and a card which is used like one of those game cards or a TAP card where a card is tapped then pour as much or as little as youd like and once you stop pouring it charges for that amount at the end.
Its way overprice for the amount of pour the machine allows. If this is the future of a brewery its sad status. As without bartenders pouring a proper pint the machine pours half foam and half beer. So you end up getting charge for 8oz but only 3-4 oz of actual beer is what you get.
My two daughters and I ventured out for a day of shopping in the Garment District and needed a place to eat. I opened up Yelp and one of the first selections was First Draft Taproom and Kitchen - well why not?We walked in and the hostess was sweet as pie! Super professional and knowledgeable. We walked up to the counter and another smiling face! We all ordered 3 burgers - my girls ordered non-alcoholic drinks and I purchased a card to drink some of the local beer and wine.First off - the burgers were AWESOME! You can tell that they are fresh. they were thick and juicy! The fries were great as well.I loved the selection of beers and wines! I loved the fact that you can tap on the screen and you can read more about the beer. I also love the fact that I can taste as many as I like and only pay for what I pour - pay by the ounce. The overall experience was AMAZING!Only one selection - provide a better selection of non-alcoholic drinks for patrons that are non-drinkers.
Not really the best choice if you’re hungry and looking for nice food. We ordered as salad with grilled chicken. Chicken was definitely cold and didn’t taste fresh. We also got popcorn cauliflower and brussel sprouts and beside looooots of oil there was no flavor or taste whatsoever. We couldn’t eat much of the food it was just a waste. The cashier herself didn’t have the greatest attitude but we didn’t want to make a big deal of it.
This could be a really awesome place to watch a game, but they need to play the game over the speakers more. Food is great, staff is fun and knowledgeable, and the beer selection is fantastic. Highly recommend
Once we got a server everything was great. He was very patient, friendly, and attentive; the food was great.
The wine and turkey burgers ...Its spacious outdoor seating. Baseball Baseball....Oh the tap beers 46 of them...
Great beer selection. The fact that you can drink two ounces of each of their beers and have fun tasting it all is cool and unique. Food is average but good for a bar.
Im impressed! This was my first time there and a friend invited me so I didnt really even know what to expect and when I saw 60+ beer handles I was excited. And its a pour your own which was fun. I ended up maxing out at 32 ounces. I think I got to try 10 different beers. And the food was pretty good to. I did not expect the Frys to be as large as they were, but I ended up eating more than I should have. It was good!
Unique and fun. 50+ tap beverages, loved the cider from Salem, Oregon. Food was delicious - try the bread pudding with blueberry sauce. Great seating indoor and outdoor. Friendly staff. Thanks!
My first experience with a pay by the oz, pour yourself bar. Definitely a bit on the pricey side but this is LA after all.The server working that day really knew her stuff and clearly had a passion for beer. Very helpful in getting us started trying out the self-pour system. Will definitely come back next E3 season.
This place is awesome! You get to pick your own beer on the wall and try as many as you can. You pay by the ounce so you dont have to commit to a beer if its not your taste. The foot was really good too. I got the pretzel bites and the angel wings and both were delicious. Highly recommend.
Found myself a new joint! Very nice here, roomy and airy and a nice outdoor deck as well. Great beers on tap.
Absolutely, try this place out! The process is: you pay for a tap card, i believe we paid $20, you tap your card to the beer, the beer is sorted in sections to find the ones you like the best and even the ones you are wanting to explore, next, you pour your amount and it shows you how much you are pouring, finally, it shows your remaining balance on your card. There are a few more beers upstairs, so do not forget those as well.
Not a big menu to choose from, although they have 100 different beers/wines and ciders on tap. The food was decent. The flavor was there but then chicken for the chicken sandwich wasnt crispy even though it was breaded
Food is amazing. !! Definitely coming back to try out their breakfast menu.
Pour your own beer and over 70 taps? Craft beer heaven! Ive yet to try the food coming out of the kitchen but it looked great! Lofty space with two floors and a sun catching patio
Great space. Food is is really good.Really fun spot. You can sample beers by the ounce. We had burgers, chicken and funnel cake, fresh veggies, Cobb salad, and a beer float (large group). Impressed the food quality. Outdoor patio area is a nice touch. Cool spot before a game.
Lee was extremely nice, friendly, and explained how things work simply. Nice atmosphere, clean, and a unique, fun system of self-serve taps.Wish I couldve spent more time there! :D
Fun way to drink beer. Self pour from 60+ taps. Sausage plate was pretty tasty. Burgers were as well. Nice late afternoon spot
Great staff. Great beer. Nice decor. Food was phenomenal. Nothing to complain about. It was bomb.
Rona hindered the experience... Super fun place... Just be careful out there!
The concept is absolutely great and works very well! You can try so many different beers that youll surely find something you love. Absolutely recommended!
Love this place and love their many beers! Great open atmosphere to bring a group of friends!! Always recommend this place!
Great local brews and bites. Hidden gem in South Park
Super cool place for beer! You get a cool card and tap it and boom! You get to pour your own beer. Great selection of all kinds of beer! I will definitely be back!
Great service and the beer is spot on. Food is done right and portions are for sharing.
Great place to try lots of different beers. Their food is always good and the service is great. Awesome place for a party!
Well priced with excellent eats ($12-14 a plate), cool techy tap dispensing! Nice patio space. Bathroom upstairs - to help patrons judge their intoxication level? 😂
Good food, good service. Not a whole lot of variety
Great place, good food and mostly a great beer selection. I was impressed by the layout of the place it really welcoming and has easy flow. The one negative I had was were the IPAs available were not the best in my book.
Excellent beer selection! Was there for taco Tuesday and happy hour... carnitas tacos were bomb!
Very nice, they have taps to draw your own beer and wines. Also great food
When we went they had only been open for a week, so they were still in soft open mode. I liked what I had, the beer selection was great and the food was good. Staff was friendly and helpful and the GM, Marc(?), was super cool.
Sooooo many yummo beer choices. Better than average bar food. Nice patio. Be careful though as the bill rises quickly when youre using their debit card for pour access
I like the beer concept, the chicken wings are so good. But the food price doesnt make sense. I bet they will generate 10x more traffic if they reconsider that.
Honestly, the best concept for a bar that Ive seen! Many different great selections of beer and wine and its all reasonably priced. Didnt try the food, but looked delicious
Worthwhile
Aside from a good mix of taps, the shining star here is really the food and service. I found a handful of beers I really liked, but the overall selection found be rated a C+... nothing completely special or rare but there are some notable selections I would go back for. We ordered a bunch of small bites to share to try the food and not one thing that came out made me sad about my order. The street fries hit the spot and the combination of flavors made my mouth and belly extremely happy. The Elote and Green salad gave us our daily dose of veggies in a new and delicious way...I would have eliminated the mustard but for those who like that yellow nonsense it might take this to a better level for you. And finally, the butcher block of sausage selections was delicious as well....here the pickled veggies cut through all the heavy food we were stuffing face with pretty well. The pickle was different in a great way that complimented all the food really.Definitely coming back for food and beer
Always something unusual and tasty on draft. Nice little patio to hang out on. Street fries and a salad are delicious. Burgers are solid.
Why go anywhere else? Sort of a self- serve Yard House & seem like as many taps. Epic space w room to mingle & local sports on their many TVs
What a lovely surprise! This place has an array of DIY tap beer and a small section of wine on tap. You purchase a tap card, pick up a glass, and tap anywhere on the beer of choice that charged you per oz. geniusAs a non IPA fan, I fell in love with the hoppy taste of their selection!!Great for groups.Their menu is simple and has vegan options!I had a vegan burger and an avocado small plate and was impressed by the Housemade sauce and fresh ingredients. Ive had better vegan patties but the soft brioche bread, butter lettuce and roasted pepper sauce made it worth it. I would ask the restaurant to perhaps add a pickled element to the dish.. like some small pickled veggies.Must visit :)There is quite a bit of street parking all around.
Good place to taste various beers and ciders. Good food and looking to go back again.
Great beer selection. I love the pour yourselfand pay by the ounce concept. Also happened to be there for happy hour on taco tuesday, and the carnitas tacos were BOMB!
Great place to sample beers on tap by the ounce - they also have ciders and kombucha on tap! Its fun to sample and pour yourself from the taps.Menu is great and vegetarian friendly!
Very cool idea. I got to try out a few different beers and it was not that expensive at the end of the night.
Fun, clean and quick if you want it to be.Definitely worth going. I like it better than Yardhouse by far.
Awesome selection of beers! They also had 1 kombucha and few wine options on tap. Food was excellent!
For a Sunday night, it was practically deserted compared to the 540 Club; its a nice place to converse, drink beer, play pool/darts, and make out. I can only imagine how packed it must get for Tuesday Trivia nights.
Great selection of self seve beers and wine on tap. Fun place. Nice staff.
This place is cool as a concept but so expensive, you’d think you were pouring liquid gold! One of the bar staff was rude too which was unfortunate. Go here for the fun of pouring your own beer but only if you’ve just been paid...
Adult heaven! So many beers and so much fun pouring your own
The host was experienced and attentive the burger could have been missing the bacon.
The staff was so amazing, and the beers... OMG!! Thos place is the best place and concept in DTLA!!
Pretty good food, if you like to drink this would be a cool spot at night.
Well obviously im reviewing because the experience was very horrible on the General Managers side.I had a party of 13 and called in advance if my 6 year old nephew was welcomed, they replied yes kids are welcomed. 20 minutes after ordering and receiving our food the General Manager came out marching from the side mumbling Theres no playing on the table it might scuff the table while my 6yr old nephew was playing with his mini moster truck with rubber tires on the table. So we made him put his toy truck away and let him play with the taprooms dominoes that they gladly gave us to play with.Apparently the GM was walking back from the front desk to the back and again didnt even stop walked by and replied well thats a first with a annoying voice while my nephew dropping some of the dominoes on the floor.Im not a manager but i think he shouldnt of handled this situation like that.I think he was really rude and his communication skills are very poor. We talked to the staff and they where very sorry for this situation. I was trying to talk to the GM directly but wasnt available apparently. So if you have lil ones that are being themselves I wouldnt recommend this place for them. Dont want anyone with kids to be disappointed.
Great beer selection and good food, but feels a little bit pricey.
Great selection of beers, the food is only just okay.
Pour your own tap room with a wide breath of beer. Rose is always tapped tho. Thirsty thots seem to drain the kegs. Sours, ipa, and stouts are all represented here well.
If you like craft beers youll have tons of options. Down sides, they dont have a beer menu so you have to go walk to the tv that had a slideshow of the beers then find the tap number, the beers are app over so you may have to do some walking to get your yeah beer...which is really the same price as normal beer except you have to serve yourself here. Also they freeze your card after you drink 32 oz. The food was mediocre. Try it once.
The street fries and burger were so good! Like how they have the beer selection scattered all around the place
Tap In! Diablo wings...
Comedy show every last Tues of the month is incredible. But stop over charging for beer!!!
Super chill spot to try lots of different beers n tasty food!
Fun experience but the beer is the same price as places in the area but those places provide the service aspect of a bar (i.e. giving advice on the drinks based on what youre looking for)
Great food, great beer, what else do you need?
Pour your own beer, pay by the ounce, big space, outdoor area, 70ish selections
Nice space... friendly help...70 taps...pour ur own
Loved the selection and ambiance. Nice patio.
