I had Chinese, Pakistani and Indian rugs cleaned- these rugs see a lot of traffic being in the family room, dining room and bedroom. When I did a house remodel (minus the living/dining) during the early summer we stuffed EVERYTHING (quickly and in the living/dining including all our cleaning products from under the sink in kitchen garbage bags. This assemblage included a bottle of stump remover from our former house; which spilled in a spot of a treasured Persian rug that I got from a close out sale on La Cienega decades ago- and ate it down to the stitching. I looked around the reviews of the work on Darmany were perfect, even with the usual entitled LA review complaints, no one could say anything bad about their work. Thus decided to used them. They are the REAL DEAL. The cleaning and repair were amazing (and I had the rug since I was young and broke and living with bro housemates so there were a LOT of old stains) then the repair was incredible. But beyond that David went above and beyond to be caring, we live FAR, FAR, AWAY from either location and David saw he was on the way to our house and delivered NO CHARGE. I have been dealing with a surgery recovery and the trip would have been difficult, and it meant a lot. RECOMMEND, RECOMMEND, RECOMMEND.

I had two antique and one repro recently cleaned by Darmany. All three were severely stained with dog urine and smelled horrible; basically unusable. They came back beautifully cleaned and nice smelling. I don’t know how they do it but it saved these expensive rugs.

I had a great experience working with David! He and his team cleaned my rug and then talked me through different finishing options (the fringe was worn and torn in places, and some of the corners were tearing as well). I chose the option to add a cord (no fringe) around the edge. We agreed to two sides of the rug, but David finished all four sides without any extra charge, since it looks better that way (saving me around $300)! I am so pleased with how quick and easy it was to communicate and how great my rug looks. I know it will last much longer now. I really appreciate the care, dedication and reasonable prices at Darmany. Highly recommended.

David responded immediately to my call, came to our house to provide a cost estimate to clean 11 pee stained rugs. I thought my rugs were ruined and he completely restored them by removing both the stains and the toxic smell. He picked up the rugs, and when the rugs were delivered back to our house, he and his helper reinstalled them under many heavy pieces of furniture. During his initial visit to our house, he noticed that our dining room rug was too small for size of the room.When he returned our clean rugs, he brought us a new rug for the dining room that was absolutely perfect for the room. He seemed to download my aesthetic and brought a rug to us that works perfectly with the colors in the room. The price of the new dining room rug was very reasonable. We are thrilled and look forward to working with David for many years to come.David has a masterful knowledge about rugs and has a formal education in Persian rugs. He identified the date and origin of our rugs, most of which were purchased by us during our travels to Turkey. He identified that our smaller rugs are actually our most valuable rugs. They are from small Turkish villages dating to the 1930s or 40s. He identified that one rug is from India (and now that he identified it as Indian, I can see Indian inspired designs in the rug), one is Persian, but most of our rugs are from Afghanistan, rather than Turkey, which was the origin represented to us when we purchased the rugs in Turkey.

We had such a great experience getting our rugs cleaned/repaired! Not only did they do a great job cleaning but the one that needed repair actually looks way better than it ever has before because they added a great hand-done trim where it was previously frayed. Easy communication and delivery/pickup as well. They also gave us super useful info about our rugs that we didn’t know - like what style/region/era they were from. Highly recommend!

This is my go to rug cleaning service for pet stains (urine and vomit). They ALWAYS manage a miracle and return my rug practically pristine. If the rugs aren’t perfect when I get them back, I certainly can’t tell. They always look that great. I can’t guarantee they can fix every stain disaster but I can promise that they know their stuff when it comes to Persian, Turkish etc rugs and will put in the hours to give you back as clean a rug as possible. 12/10 would recommend. Also the prices are so reasonable! I wish I had a before but just look how nice my rug is after they cleaned it!! Not a spot on it.

I brought in three of my favorite woven rugs to be cleaned after a neighbors dog peed on them. I got my rugs back extremely quickly and they look brand new. He was very prompt to pick it up and reinstall the rug including working around my heavy living room furniture. Efficient and Professional. This is the second time I got my rug cleaned and it really shines afterwards. He offered quality attention to detail and feedback on how best to maintain the rug in between cleanings. Service was quick and thorough. Pickup and delivery was easy to schedule and punctual. I needed to wrap my rug for overseas shipment, so he advised me to obtain moth balls and brought over the plastic sheet and rope to help me pack it in a way that would sustain a 2-4 month journey. Highly recommended. Wish I will be able to find someone half as good to help me maintain my rug overseas.

I accidentally tried to clean my Persian rug by myself. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! I panicked and quickly looked up rug cleaners. I read the amazing reviews on yelp about Darmany Rug cleaners and decided to give them a call for help. The gentleman over the phone was super helpful and asked me to text him a picture of my rug. After I sent him a text he told me he would be able to fix my rug and clean it properly. The store is easy to locate and very accessible. Despite having the great misfortune of dumping an entire cup of coffee on my brand-new white rug, I also had a wonderful stroke of luck when I found the number for Darmany rug cleaning. David immediately answered the phone and, after looking at a photo of the rug that I sent him, explained to me exactly what kinds of options for cleaning I had (despite the fact that I had foolishly decided to try to treat it myself before calling him in a panic!). I had an antique rug which I wanted to clean for a long time, thanks to previous reviews I decided to give this place a try and I am 100% satisfied. We just had Darmany clean and repair our Turkish rug there was a very large dark rust stain from some sort of furniture embedded into the rug. they had to re-weave and rematch the thread in this antique rug. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend their services if you need rug cleaning or any type of professional rug repair.

I took 2 Afghan wool rugs to them. The first thing David the owner did was to educate me on where the rugs were from, their history and the care that was needed for them. His price was slightly higher than others, but worth it, especially when I learned the method of how the other companies were going clean them as opposed to Darmanys method. The first rug looks brand new and was done in a week. The second rug had a bunch of moth holes. David said it would take a month to repair as he personally offered to do it, but got it back to me in 2 weeks. I watched him do a few repairs, he is a true artisan! It looks amazing- I couldnt find where the repairs were and believe me there were many. I highly recommend this company if you want quality work.

David has such passion for Oriental Rugs, and hes quite knowledgeable. He took a Persian rug that had a huge stain and a hole in it, and I can not find the stain or the hole he weaved close.He is a craftsman, superb work!
