Pretty good food. i ordered pick up, but there were customers outside dining. there are only a few tables, but the restaurant is close by a park if you really want to eat outside. my sandwich had a decent amount of meat. the bread was really good as well. the mascarpone cheesecake is worth visiting for alone. its sooo smooth πŸ˜‹. the employee i encountered was kind and had my order ready to go. i would visit again.

Sandwiches are delicious and authentic, it felt like I was at a European cafe. Their pastries and desserts were excellent as well (puff pastry and tiramisu were delightful). Coffee is good, service is a little scatterbrained sometimes especially when multiple customers are in the store, but Id go back for the sandwiches and pastries anytime.

Ordered four different sandwiches and everyone loved them. The burger was big and messy and delicious. The smoked salmon and cream cheese was gourmet. The bacon and over easy egg oozed perfectly and my meatball sandwich made two meals. Homemade chips too. Cant wait to go back.

A little gem of a place with a deep selection of fine wines and cheeses and wonderful sandwiches and gelato! The sandwiches seem pricey but they are big enough to feed two.

Unbelievable. I have never before seen such blatant disregard for fundamental sanitary consideration/COVID safety. The barista adjusted her mask over her nose and mouth, pulled up her jeans, touched the register and handed people their receipts, and then proceeded to place onlyone glove on to make handmade almond milk through a nut bag.She then proceeded to prepare my drink. I politely asked her to please wash her hands with soap and water before preparing my drink, but she refused. I asked her a second time and, after chuckling right in front of me, put on gloves instead, without washing her hands. My friend and the other barista just looked at her with surprise. I explained that, to prevent the spread of infection and disease, one must wash hands with soap BEFORE putting on gloves, or else the gloves will inevitably become contaminated (thereby making the gloves completely ineffective). I repeated my request twice more, and she finally acquiesced and washed her hands. I would like to reiterate the fact that, all the while, she mocked me by blatantly chuckling and laughing at my request for basic human consideration of washing ones hands before preparing a drink/food item. So, if you are the manager or owner of Haute Mess I would encourage you to please reiterate the process of preventing disease and the spread of infection to your employees. The department of health and CDC has guidelines on their website for reference. Additionally, the costumer service here was utterly appalling. As a long time neighbor of Haute Messe I have referred friends and family to shop, but I won’t be doing so any more. Unfortunately, basic costumer service and basic sanitary measures are NOT met at this establishment.Last: If you are a costumer, you must understand that it is your absolute right to ensure the places you visit are safe and will not cause you illness. If you enjoy this right, don’t visit Haute Mess.

After a nice afternoon at the park with my son, down the street I found this gem. This restaurant deli loaded with goodies baked goods oils vine and even an assortment of gelatos. Great for two different pallets, my son loved his meat ball sub and I had the veggie. The out door seating was very comfortable prices are very fair and we ended up taking a pint of peach strawberry gelato home. Very clean and friendly staff.

I want to love this place because it’s a block from my house and I love the parent restaurant Della Terra next door, but I just haven’t had a single thing from here that I thought was great. The sandwiches come on a weird bread that’s really hard to bite into and flavorless. The desserts I’ve tried have been mediocre.

HauteMess is by far my new favourite place to grab coffee and a light lunch!Gorgeously decorated, it feels both upmarket and welcoming. I love that you can purchase deli items, wine, sauces etc to take come!Love the Cosmopolitan Rosati Baguette- very flavourful and the bread was crusty but soft. AMAZING!I would love to try some of their baked goods- the photos make them look pretty spectacular.Fantastic new addition to the neighbourhood.

My friend from this neighborhood is a regular there and we stopped in for tacos and drinks. I love the atmosphere. Its a bit dark, so dont go there to read your Nietzsche book and look cool, but there is excellent mood lighting. Tacos were great (courtesy of the taco truck folks who enjoy an indoor, evening-residency there), bartender was hilarious and I look forward to returning. As a non-drinker, that says a lot. The space is both elegant and inviting. I ordered a slice of olive oil lemon bread per an employees recommendation. It was outstanding. The latte was also transcendent. I was introduced to the owner which I always love. The attention to detail within the decor was off the charts. From the reclaimed tile flooring to the ambient lighting in the food cases to the custom wave-shaped panels on the ceiling, this is not your average wine and delicatessen spot! I’ll be back!

A new deli and grocery by the people who brought us Della Terra. They have excellent sandwiches. We loved the burger as well. The desserts we tried were wonderful as well. However, they bill themselves as a grocery store because of all the imported cheese and Italian meats. There are at least 159 wines, 30 whites, 120 reds and 9 sparklings from all over the world. In the back there is a coffee bar that lacks hot tea. They do have a delightful cold tea with the bubbly in the refrigerator.

Moldy Cheese in the cheese cabinet. Have been a long term customer but will not be returning because Michael the owner is arrogant and rude. He literally said, β€œI don’t care, one bad review is not going to close my business.” I wanted him to help resolve the situation in a polite and kind way as I didn’t have time to return to the store to swap the cheese. For $6 he was unwilling to help me find a solution other than having to spend another half an hour going back there. How about offering a credit when I return another time? Don’t bother with this place. Just go across the road to Erewhon.

HauteMess continues to impress me with their amazing offerings.I tried one of their lunch specials, the BBQ Peach Chicken Sandwich. I had this same wich at a Hella Vegan Eats pop-up. I couldnt help but feel as though I had BBQ sauce all over my face afterwards, even after several dabs with the petite napkins. Huge sandwich, small mouth... it can make a big mess.HauteMess Gourmet Market.
