There are some things best left to the professionals. Using American Export Lines and specifically working with Janie, is the best option when importing goods.

I have used the services of American Export Lines for the last 3 years. During this period, I have shipped several containers internationally without any problem. I have been helped my many employees of this company and their customer service is exceptional. They deal with our company in a very professional way. They make it so easy to book and deliver containers on time to our warehouse and back to the port. The documentation is also handled very professionally, making our international shipping experience quite smooth. It only takes an email or a phone call to get everything going.We have had very positive experience dealing with the American Export Lines, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional, stress free shipping experience! Use them if you have to. But if you have other alternatives, go for it. Office customer service is top notch. But the guys at the receiving warehouse act like they are doing you a favor. You come in with your goods, no acknowledgment. They walk pass you like you dont exist and close the gate. It takes multiple walk over to the office before someone grudgingly comes to attend to a customer. Seriously?! I am still in shock. This is preposterous, opprobrious, reprehensible and outright disgusting to even think that customers will be treated with such disdain.

I used this American Export Lines to ship my mothers personal goods from Los Angeles to Valparaiso, Chile. I did an extensive search for international freight forwarders who have experience shipping personal goods overseas as well as shipping cars overseas. I called several places and this company gave me a good price right on the phone and handled my mothers goods with care. They packed everything safely in the container, I bought insurance but luckily didnt have to use it!

Don’t ship with this company. I requested quotes for air and sea shipping but It takes them ONE week to provide it. I had to call multiple times for them to actually respond to me. To make matters worse, Shibani would ask for information that i already provided in a previous email. Worst customer service ever.

I used this company to export belongings and furniture to the UK from West LA. I used them twice so I must have like them the first time.. Their prices and quotes were much lower than other companies. For boxes and clothing they were fine. Sadly when my furniture and ornaments arrived, they were many things damaged and broken. Thank gfoodnes I took insurance. I had to make a claim which was paid for and repaired but some of the things were impossible to repair. Never used them again.

Its been more than a decade since I started shipping items overseas with American Export Lines. My experience has been nothing but positive and complete satisfaction with the company. My agent at the company, has been so helpful in making sure that my relationship with company is a happy one. She treats me like family in the company. I can go into her office at any time to get my questions answered in the most cordial and professional manner. BEWARE THIS COMPANY!!!I shipped my household possessions from Long Beach to Montevideo, Uruguay with these idiots.When the shipment arrived, it had been packed with utter disregard for my possessions. Things had been shoved one on top of each other. Numerous items were damaged and Ive instigated a claim against them for more than $3,000.When I called the VP to complain, he referred me to the insurance company and paid little attention to my concernsSTAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
