Let’s face it, the LA area is FILLED with donut shops and it’s often tough to figure out if you are getting something unique and home made or something defrosted. Well Kettle Glazed is legit - they are tasty and have some yummy unique options. Service was great and also very quick. Prices are in line with the quality of the donuts and their iced tea was great as well. Hope I can come back on my next visit to LA!
Slacking on the social distancing monitoring and enforcement.Apple fritter was very light on the apple.Vanilla cinnamon twist was nice. A subtle cinnamon roll flavor. Would have liked a touch more cinnamon.Donut holes were the family fav.Parking is limited.Park in the aisle facing the alley for an easier get away.
Best gluten free donuts I’ve ever had. Great oat milk latte. Super nice staff. Thanks guys!
Donuts are simply the best here. And kettle coffee...oh do I live for it! Love their Dark Roast. I have it at home and I love grabbing their coffee to start my day. The Best!
We got the strawberry rhubarb, the vanilla filled croissant doughnut, the cinnamon twist, the ube and the cruffin (a muffin doughnut). The strawberry rhubarb was a cronut with a slightly sweet and tary jam inside. The vanilla cronut was filled with french vanilla thin pudding. The ube was if you took ube chips and turned them into a donut. The cruffin was a mini monkey bread. And the cinnamon twist was a small cinnamon roll in twist form. Very good donuts but not worth the 30 min drive.
Solid doughnut showing. Ube was great, fritters, old fashioned blueberry, vanilla glazed, crumb, all did not disappoint. Also the chai latte actually had some spiciness which I appreciate.
3 stars is Its okay and thats how I felt, but Im giving it 4 stars (I liked it) because the employee asked if I wanted my Arnold palmer more towards tea or lemonade. NO ONE ever asks that EVER. Bless them.Im not much for sweets. My daughter wanted to eat a bacon covered donut which is surprisingly hard to come by when you look at donut places on google but they had a maple log with a strip of bacon on it. A low bar for bacon covered but ayyyy whatcha gonna do.The selection feels basic but it gets the job done.
Great donuts and great service! The employees were very friendly!
Cute space with great coffee, yummy donuts and great service – special thanks to Sam! :)
My first visit at this store after reviewing the feedback online. It was much better than I expected in terms of quality, customer service, presentation, and cleanness. I will go back there again!
The best donuts in town. The worst customer service. Why dont people understand that when you work in hospitality you have a responsibility to the customer to give them service and if your any good at what you do, you naturally want to make that persons day or at least serve them with a smile. Maybe it was just an off day ...but that was just about the most un friendliest service Ive had in a while. Both girls at the counter were to be flat out honest. Rude. Its a shame because I really like the donuts. Unfortunately not that much. This is LA and there is a hundred more donut shops to explore.
The 2 stars are for the POOR customer service.I asked for donuts and she put one on another as she didnt care at all. I was bringing breakfast to someone and I had to have donuts like that.I asked for a small coffee and coffee refill and she forgot the coffee cup... I had to remind her that I ordered a small coffee as well.If you cannot be nice and energetic with customers, you shouldnt work in customer service
Best latte in town. Doughnuts are delicious
Great staff!Loved the blueberry lemon old fashion, and the ube donut!
Great service and donuts are amazing! Joe is delish!
This was my first visit to this location and they were closing for the day.I had just made and ordered one donut just to taste. The flavor and texture of the donut was so good I almost caved-in and bought another one.But I decided to stay disciplined.Theyre located inside a mini shopping area and parking is limited.
Really good Donuts! I stop there for donuts 🍩 only!!!Can’t say the same about the latte. I asked the barista few times not to overheat the milk, and I’ve got it burning hot, regardless. “Burned” milk for latte destroys the drink. 😕
Just ok...maybe i didnt get the fresh glazed one
IF-IF-IF-IF ... did I say if. If they have any CRONUTS left you are a lucky ... person. .... so 5 starts for the CRONUT but ......... everytime I walk in I feel like Im interputing something and Im bother --your mileage may vary
Blueberry Lemon old fashion donut was delicious!
Nice gluten free maple donut.
Not even joking, best donuts I’ve had in the United States.
Best donuts in town. Sam is the donut king. 100% going back.
I like it here always quality food & service. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. The place has an awesome atmosphere.
The gentleman helping me was not very pleasant. I really dislike how people project their negativity about their job on others.
The service here is above par. bring your hunger - portions are large. they have a lot of positive reviews for a reason.
Underwhelming donuts. Apple fritter was a highlight. Would go elsewhere.
Nice mom and pop shop. The market next door is also great.
Great donut and coffee shop. The. Blueberry lemon old fashion and vanilla bean glazed donuts are the best.
Great place to meet and catch up with friends. Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back.
We visit here every time we stay in LA. Highly recommend every morning we ride or walk to get coffee donuts and chat with the server, she knows where we are from back east and we love her fun cheery disposition. Donuts and coffee and great too lol. Its a must have to get us going every morning.
One of my fave spots to grab a coffee and a donut!Unfortunately I pulled up today to see someone inside waiting and talking up a storm...without a mask on. Might want to skip your donuts for a few days.
Tasty treats for a great price!
Ive cronuts at various spots in Los Angeles and still believe this place has the best one around. I feel that even the bakery at the Grove thats owned by the guy who invented the cronut isnt as good as this place. Its not heavy, not overly sweet, and just the right flakiness, they also have several other donuts which are all really good too like the maple bacon bar and apple fritters. Just try it.
Wanted gluten free donuts while on vacation...best Ive ever had. Please teach other donut shops your gluten free wizardry...
The service here is better than most. Prices are fair.
Best vegan donuts ever! Blueberry cake maple glazed is my favorite. The donuts are perfectly cook I love them so much and it satisfy your craving. Everything is made by perfection!!!
A little GEM in a tiny strip mall! Our family of 4 ordered 4 different donuts, including a cruffin. We shared bites & these are some of the best donuts weve ever had! DELICIOUS! Very good coffee too!
PHENOMENAL donuts! Their cronuts are amazing as well as their blueberry donuts!! And the gentleman that was working when I was there was SUPER kind to the lady behind me who was having a rough day. Love this place, just wish I didnt live on the other side of LA.
Ive been going to this location for donuts for 33 years. It began when it was still Alex Donut and they were the best donuts in town when they were open. Kettle Glazed Doughnuts has continued the tradition of offering the best donuts in L.A. period. The staff also is friendly and helpful just as before. Thank you to the new owners for continuing the great service and quality all the while adding a new spin on things.
Friendly service and food was good
Great selection of donuts and croissants, unique toppings and fillings, try the croissant- -donut a great combination of both get a donut taste in a croissant texture dough. Staff very friendly and professional. Highly recommended place .
Award for most-sketch parking lot, with second place for most-hidden signage ... but this place is worth finding! My fav doughnuts in LA appear every morning. Warm fresh and creative flavors. They cater too. Yum!
Overall 4.5 stars. We are on the constant search for the best donuts. I would place Kettle Glazed up there. Our favorites were blueberry vanilla, blueberry lemon, maple vanilla, blueberry cruffin, vanilla bean. I will advise that these donuts are sweet. On a 9.9/10 sweetness scale. Just dont eat too many or else youll feel sick from the sugar rush. I definitely see myself coming back.
I loveeeee this place! They usually have only two vegan options at a time but I don’t mind not having a huge selection. The price is unbelievable ... a vegan donut for under $2! What?! Finally a place that doesn’t overprice simply bc they can w the vagabond label. Not to mention the donuts are delicious and fresh!!!
Donuts are awesome, but customer service is even better! Our 4 yr old was having a meltdown and wanting a very specific donut (with white frosting and sprinkles- of course). The sweet lady popped in to the back and made him exactly what he wanted, without even being asked. So impressed (and thankful)!
Great doughnuts 🍩 👌 👍 👏
Got it as a gift. Perfect! Not too sweet either
So addictive!!! I can get over how delicious their apple fritters, raised and cake donuts are. Im obsessed with their chocolate glazed chocolate cake is. Its like a little dessert cake but for anytime including breakfast! Its terrible how much I love them and how conveniently they are located to my home.
Love this place. Still open to the public as of 3/16.
Quarantine- a time to eat as much food as possible. Our household is split at the seams for donuts because one of us is gluten free (spoiler alert, it’s me). I found Kettle on google then was thrilled to see delivery on Postmates. I called them to see what kind of gluten free donuts they had left, and the person that answered was so upbeat and kind. Told me that there was apple & chocolate left. I bought them all. Within 30 minutes donuts were left at the front door. We obviously wiped the box with Clorox wipes (you know, the times) and we dug in. Heres what we learnedGlazed Donut 6/10 - not the best we’ve ever had but good texture. Madison thought it was a little dry. Christina did not. They did however, agree on the 6/10.Chocolate Long John 8/10 - buttery af and good eats for sure. But the chocolate was not the BEST chocolate Madison and Christina have ever had. Still, it’s gone. Eaten with pleasure.Croissant Cinnamon Donut 10/10 - one word: wow. “This is like eating a perfectly cooked churro filled with that cream that they fill churros with.” Exact quote from Madison. Christina couldn’t speak after eating. Just rated a 10/10. Highly recommend.GLUTEN FREE DONUTS: If you’re gluten free, get any you can. The chocolate one tasted like a little Debbie cake but better. The texture was to die for. I loved every second. I won’t even let Madison and christina try the second apple one I got. It’s incredible. Filled with perfectly cooked tiny apples.3/3 women between the age of 25-30 would recommend this place.
The selection of donuts here is amazing. They have some of the best donuts Ive tasted and the service is always great. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is because their coffee isnt that great.
OMG !!! I was told about this donut shop and had to check it out. Just great.. the guy with the reddish hair was fantastic as he told me about their donuts... go and treat yourself to perfection. A true 10 in every way.
Visited near twelve, it was not full. Service is typically good. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I liked.
Dount was amazing staff is greatCame in on a postmates order and ended up getting a dount andnit was soo good .. made my day ... thank you so much kettle glazed .. wake up and order from them to make you morning a better morning
Amazing brisket egg roll appetizer that led into an amazing selection of grilled meats prepared to please the most scrupulous palette.
LOVE! Ive tried all the trendy places and none compare to these.
Love love love love love. Ive been going here for four years and they have never let me down. They have an array of classics that are a mainstay on the shelves, but there are also specialty donuts for occasions or when theyre just trying something new. Definitely check them out.
Walked by late at night one time, and saw through the window, some dude working away on his own in the kitchen ... baking and doing donut prep things etc etc etc looked really cool, Like a real bakery, they work through the night!!!Now, I dont usually eat sweets/cakes ... but The sight compelled me to go and pick some donuts up... A couple of weeks later I went, and now every time I make the drive out of town to see my family, I stop there first to grab a coffee, an apple fritter and a couple of glazed beauties for the road :D
Very standard kind of good but not great donuts. At least, the two that I tried were.
Everything was amazing even the urn coffee was good. But the strawberry rhubarb was better than a cronut.
Visited on a Wednesday I think. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. Bring your appetite because portions are generous.
A fun place to stop and enjoy a sweet treat anytime of the day.
Ouuuuu child. yes. vegan donuts!!! the lemon coconut is a fav.
I wonder if Ed is still the owner of this delicious bakery. We - my family and me - were there some times in summer of 2011. We got the best donuts until now there. We live in Germany and we will come back tho this spot!
Their croissant/donut combo (other name is trademarked) is like nothing Ive ever tasted before. It practically melts in your mouth. Im just glad they dont sell them by the dozen cause I would have to buy and eat them...by myself. Yes, theyre that good you just dont want to share...The staff are always kind, helpful, and seemingly happy to work there which makes the experience of going always a pleasure...I would give them 5 stars if they would expand their business to the san Fernando valley where I live....because of the location and the limited parking I have to give the place 4 stars but worth the trip if youre nearby.
Fantastic glazed donuts. Light and fluffy. The best part is that they do not get stale quickly if you can resist and eat one later
Even though we got a dozen donuts made to order, the process was very quick
Amazing donut options! We discovered it at the end of our trip, which is good because we could have easily had way too many donuts! They were absolutely delicious!
If I wasnt watching my diet I would get doughnuts from here religiously! I love their old fashions and the staff are like friends at this point. Ill probably keep visiting till I die if I can help it!
This place is a favorite for fresh doughnuts! They have some really creative options like smores that are great but the classic glazed ones are killer. The coffee is also really good and they have a lot of options.
Fluffy dough, frosting not overly sweet. The Boston cream was very smooth, light textured and whipped well. Staff was nice and an excellent selection of different goodies.
Super friendly people super delicious doughnuts to go with it
DONUTSSSSSSSSSS. This may make my top 5 donut place now. The place is pretty small and hidden. It is in a small plaza on Franklin and traffic there is so busy. The donuts are really good, I enjoyed their mocha croissant donut and the vanilla glazed donut. So good! I will be back to try more!
Killer donuts! They have this cinnamon cronut with custard filling that was one of the best donuts Ive had in a long time. All the donuts were amazing though. You cant go wrong with any of them.
This restaurant was amazing. TOTALLY satisfied our craving for Doughnuts
Good homemade donuts. Very friendly staff. Pretty reasonable price for LA.
I love, love, love the donuts here! Such a nice variety and doesnt break the bank
Fresh donuts!
Unsurprisingly great donut at a surprisingly reasonable price. not a huge selection but the varieties they do make they do well.
They were out of gluten free donuts when I arrived but made more for me! They are delicious and only $1 each. Thank you, KG!
So this place is my second favorite donut place. Theyre very friendly and helpful, they even gave us a free donut to try. The donuts are very soft and great in taste, even on the next day.
Do not leave if its busy, it is worth it. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, Ill be back. Prices were good for how much you get.
I almost gave this place one star because of how much weight I’ve gained from eating so many delicious donuts, but it’s not their fault. This is, hands down, the best donut spot in Los Angeles. Staff is friendly, donuts are incredible— get the s’mores one or the chocolate long one. Also, read the bad reviews carefully. They’re snotty Hollywood type people complaining because they’re miserable having to wait two minutes for donuts. I live down the street, this place rules.
