Jonathan came out to provide an estimate for a new garage door replacement. He definitely has the sales rep personality - respectful, kind, wore a mask, and showed us the garage door options available from YZ. He gave us a good deal (or so it seemed to us) since we booked with them the day of. They had a service technician available the next day to do the install, which was perfect because we didnt know how safe our existing door was in its condition at the time. The service technician was great - used a blower to remove dirt/debris from inside our garage, removed existing door and opener, and installed a new door and opener (Unique and Liftmaster brands) - all within about 2 hours - just one person - wow! Garage door is still operating smoothly (it is really quiet, but slower than what we were used to) after about a week of use. Overall, easy communication over the phone and text and work was done well. It would be wise to get a copy of the invoice prior to submitting final payment though.

It finally happened - the motor on my garage door died. One call to YZ Garage Doors and they had a person on the way to my house in 24 hours to check it out. Jonathan was super friendly and quickly determined that the circuit board on my old motor had gone out…and was ready and able to install a new motor/chain/sensors/wall clicker right then and there. He and his partner knocked it down in about an hour in San Fernando Valley garage heat! I’m really happy with the new unit, but the thing that made it even better was Jonathan’s quick and professional work. Really happy with the service - thanks again!

My garage door opener had not been working up for a couple of weeks.I previously worked with Johnathan from YZ Garage Doors & Gates and was very pleased with his work, so I decided to call them again.I was able to schedule YZ and Johnathan for Sunday at 12:30 pm.Johnathan arrived on time, tested the (broken) opener and recommended that it be replaced. I had been having trouble with it for a couple of weeks so it was an easy decision to take his recommendation. It took less than 2 hours to remove the old opener and install the new one. Several days ago our older electric garage door suddenly stopped operating properly.One wheel had popped out of the track causing the door to close partially and unevenly to the halfway point where it would stop and retract back remaining open. Searching online for local garage door repairs, I found YZ and noted their excellent reviews. A quick phone call resulted in an appointment the following morning.Zack arrived on time the next day and cheerfully surveyed our garage door, ascertained the problem, gave us a very reasonable estimate and went right to work.In about 20 minutes he had fixed the garage door and lubed every moving part! YZ is great. They were at my home within 4 hours of the call, understood the job immediately, gave me a price that was 50% less than the fixed price rate, and completed the job within 30 minutes. After the job Id called for was done, they lubricated the hinges and rollers and replace two parts at no additional charge to make the door quieter. Fantastic contractor.
