My first visit to Los Angeles and it wasnt a too bad but not a good experience but the library was a place where Id needed to improve my  English conversation classes and read tons of books while my consulate deal with my passport issues. The only two problems were the Wi-Fi that continues to drop signal and not work half the time and the homeless making a mess in the restrooms. Wi-Fi routers need to be replaced due to the newest and latest technology of new devices are coming with the Wi-Fi AC technology switch my devices have. The librarians were really nice people and the building managers were helpful as well. The Library should be a place where everyone that is willing to find work or read to keep busy is a place of peace.

This store is such a wonderful experience if you have an opportunity to spend some time here! There is a meditation room, and an overall lovely vibe. Theres a great selection of jewelry, and everything is very reasonably priced.Its a peaceful spot in the middle of Height St. and you will walk out into the city feeling renewed after your visit.So much amazing.

The architecture of this building is just beautiful and the structure has been modernized for ease of use.There is an express section that has some quality grab and go bestsellers, genre picks, and movies right next to a self checkout station.For those who would like to stay a while, there are abundant computer stations, comfortable armchairs, and several floors of subject organized book stacks.Dont miss the beautiful Library Store that sells stationary, books, and quirky design pieces.

Ive been in the library store many times. they have a great LA library bag for $1. best deal in the library (aside from the fact you can borrow a book for free). the people who work here are outstanding in terms of their willingness to assist you in your shopping needs. There is no accurate way to describe just how awesome this library is. You can schedule a free 30 minute session with a librarian to help you with research, the architecture and gardens are beautiful, and they have a lot of great free educational programs. This is a great small business resource.

I love coming to this library to do anything really. During the summer its a great place to hide from the heat and still have wifi. Great place to study. If youre in a lit class and need to do research this is a great place for you. The only negative here is the sternness of prohibiting headphones in the main reading room and bag check on the way out of the library.But thats just personal pet peeve.

This library is a sight to see, as a tourist attraction and as a convenient place to get some work or reading done. Theres ample seating, its quiet, clean (especially if you use the restrooms in the upper levels). Book selection is expansive and the staff is friendly.

Love Soap Plant Wacko! Been going there since they were on Melrose, its got some of the best books for research, so much to see and find from socks, oils, soaps and toys you dont see everywhere.

I recently have had the opportunity to visit the Library Foundation of Los Angeles on West 5th Street. I never imagined that libraries can be this awesome. They had a setup that was very inviting and conducive for reading. More than that I think it can be a great place to introduce children and the youth to the love of knowledge and enjoyment in reading. It had a wide selection of books and other materials. In fact, I am thinking of bringing my younger cousins the next time I go to Library Foundation of Los Angeles. I finally can show them that libraries are fun and exciting places.

My friend had diet restrictions and I had a budget to work with. I looked at many other gift basket companies and they were just bleh. So glad I went with Wally. The science floor is very interesting they have quite a variety of books relating to austrophysics, astronomy, and quantum physics. A wonderful place to concentrate in doing homework.

I must admit when we first visited CA this wasnt on my top ten things to do but my wife insisted that we go as it is one of the landmarks and I am so pleased we did. The place is huge and you can take an audio tour around. I expect that a lot more people will want to visit given the fact that the Sex and the City movie was filmed here. We were lucky enough to visit in the summer and it is during the summer months that they have a copy of the Declaration of Independence out for public viewing. You cant get more of a bit of history than that! The location of this huge building is in the middle if midtown with subways nearby. Every big landmark in midtown is in easy walking distance. Worth a visit if only for the photo opportunity.

The architecture alone is enough to visit the library. Be sure to visit MaGuire Gardens out front, and walk around the entire outside to see the different views. Stay out of the restrooms at all costs. Its a fairly well established place for the homeless to wash up and the perverts to play. Other than that, I find myself here several times a week studying when I dont feel like going all the way to my school.

Ill admit that Im not really one to spend much time in a library unless I really need to get some work done. Far too many distractions at home dont you agree? This place is a MUST VII I definitely enjoyed taking a peek in here. A gorgeous building guarded by those famous lions... you see this library in so many movies, most notably Ghost busters and more recently in the Day After Tomorrow. Its a landmark in the City and without at least taking a look around, I can assure you that your CA experience will be incomplete... so you have to stop by.

Ditch Netflix and rent movies from the library. Also, make sure you dont miss their seasonal exhibits inside, or the daily tours and talks that might go unnoticed. If we participate in library events, they will only get better.

Los Angeles Central Library is a great library. It has several floors for your library needs. The first floor has the help desks, a gift shop and the media center. When I was in school, I would visit this library to study. The bottom floors are very quiet, perfect for studying. They also offer free wi-fi. Parking is $1 after 3p.m. to close with validation. Otherwise, parking is $1 an hour with validation. This library is one of the few that are open on Sundays.

What really pulled me into this library was the architecture. The people that work there are pretty knowledgable about the books and city which is a plus. The only thing I would recommend Is to have extra time on your hands when coming.

My experience at Central Library has always been great, employees are very friendly, and the librarian is very helpful. I visited the garden facing Flower St. the same day, and its incredible how in the middle of buildings, cars, noise, you can still find peace there.

Great Library, with a billion employees waisting tax money. Try to ask on the computer room how to use the library printers eith your lap top... They will not know... Dare to say that the conetion is not workingng, and they will tell you to go to a starbocks... Do not let your kid go to the bathroon by hinself(lots of sex and drugs going on)... Dress up or look white if you dont wanr to be misstreated by staff... And most important, every time you see 2 employees doing the same task, do nor think about all the extra hours the library could be open if better managed... Just ignore all the waste and enjoy the physical resouces of the library, they are great... maps, books, movies, the art galery, the building architecture by itself is a treat, the teen and kids zone, the gardens around... It is all very harmonic and some of the employees are helpful and polite... Just ignore the ones that are not and have a.great time.
