Time too look for another kabob place. Decent food but the employees are so so so lazy that its simply amazing how they have a job, even after the pandemic. I got there at 8:30pm to dine in and one of the employees said NO, only for pick up because they close at 9pm. Whaaaat? Youre kidding me, they should be thankful they have a job and the restaurant still open. Not too many restaurants made it after the pandemic. Oooh well, lucky, plenty of kabob restaurants in DTLA. Shekarchi Bar & Grill just around the corner. Later CA Kabob.

The place is okay.Good selection of Persian cuisine.The kashk bedojmen was good. The lamb shank was cooked right and the flavor was there but it might have been cold and reheated. Also the pita bread was a bit soggy but hot. Maybe reheated.The rice was really good wether the zereshk or the one that comes with the lamb shank.The chicken was great.It’s a good neighborhood eat I guess.

I ordered the zereshk polo with chicken breast and koobideh kababs.So juicy and flavorful!!! Finally Persian food near me!!! Thank you! I also ordered a side of shirazi salad and yogurt with shallots. Small portion for $5. But its ok.

I got four different entrees. they were overcooked. old and not Persian style at all. Unbelievably poor quality.

Ordered the Beef koobideh at California kabob kitchen this morning. Just found my new favorite kabob place in DTLA. Location is awesome, as its not deep in DTLA. Food taste delicious, and owner has a great attitude.

Great, authentic, fresh and delicious food in a charming family small cafe atmosphere across from Trader Joes. When I forgot my wallet last week, they said not to worry and bring the money on my next visit. I try to schedule my trips to TJs around mealtimes.

I eat here at least 3 times a month. My family normally loves this place. BUT the last time we ordered a take out. The kabob seemed a bit off, the rice was really dirty and was really disappointed.

I have been going there and they also Deliver to me for many years, and Always good.

Had a business lunch there. Food was outstanding, way beyond my expectations. Kabobs were well marinated and very tasty. Tried a chicken, ground beef and Beed. All were good. The really good option is the different Person rice dishes. Fantastic choice and all were delicious. Sour cherry and the version with dates were my to favorites. Will definitely be there again!

Needed a place to hang before catching a show at The Mayan and this place came up with good reviews. It is indeed right around the corner from The Mayan, and I was amazed at how nice it was when I walked in! Like, cloth napkins and stuff. I was expecting it to be way more casual, so that was a nice surprise. There were only a couple of people in there at the time but as the evening wore on it got quite full, and not just with the Mayan crowd, it looks like. Since I wasnt very hungry at all I just ordered small hummus and eggplant appetizers (came with pita bread, of course) and an iced tea. The hummus was just OK, but the eggplant thing was really delicious. The waitress was really nice and was on it with the drink and pita bread refills. From what I could see of other peoples orders everything else looked pretty good. The next time I need a bite before The Mayan Im definitely coming back.

I have been eating for many years, before there were any restaurants or condos around. The food is delicious. The meat and chicken are free range, therefore healthy. The price is reasonable for the quality food that you get. The owner and everyone working there, chef, waiter and cashier are very friendly. Love the food and people.

If you want to try a decent Persian food, this is the place to go.

Wonderful variation in menu from coffee rubbed flank steak to salmon with spaghetti squash pasta with vegetables. Varied menu not too have and beautiful relaxed atmosphere.

While I’m a very strict vegan and would rather not even walk into any restaurants that serve animal products, there are no Persian vegan restaurants to choose from unfortunately. However here they were fully and generously accommodating to my preferences and the food was of the best restaurant food I’ve had.

This was my first time having lunch there. I had the Chicken Kabob (boneless) w/ lemon juice and herbs, on rice with onions and a roasted tomato. The food is good, I got take out. Chicken tender, right amount of spices, good heat. I love raw veggies so the raw onions were good, but you can order them grilled/roasted. My only negative comment is the price. Im not a complete cheap-o but $10 for 4 pieces/chunks of chicken and a POUND of rice seems steep. The proportions are not balanced.Pro: good flavor, great customer service, good location, nice place.Con: Protein portion tiny compared to carbs (rice), food amount not worth price.Yes, i would recommend as a dine in.

Organic food. Kabob is tasting as it was prepared in Iran or in Turkey. I highly recommend this place if you want to try delicious chicken kabob with rice.

Decent size portions (packed with rice). Salmon and beef kabobs can sometimes be over done but has flavor. The restaurant has no sound proof material so it can get pretty loud with all the noise bouncing around; makes conversion challenging.

Terrible food. Not even close to persian food. Kebobs were overcooked and the rice lacked any taste. Also, beside one or two items o the menu, they lacked halal options. It was persian food cooked by non-persians which made it lack the persian flavorful touch in the food. Hope it gets better. Fast service however and friendly staff.
