Need more helpful staff. I called in asking for a very basic item and was told they did not have them. I went in anyways to see what else they did have and they did in fact have the item I was looking for. When I proceeded to ask some questions about the item and what hardware or tools I would need to use it the clerk was like a deer in headlights. No clue what products are in your store or how to use them, and with a no returns policy how can I confidently purchase from you?
Good place to shop for small hardware items instead of going to home Depot
Everytime I entered this store looking for anything and explaining it to the worker. I am given either shrug of not knowing or the wrong item.
Love this hardware store, a real gem in East LA. Its family owned and by POCs.My family has been coming here for decades and love the customer service. You can find anything from beautiful plants to outside lighting, repairing drainage items to painting materials, outside bins to trash cans, and much more. Check them out.
About everything you need, good prices, close to home.
The owner of Brooklyn Hardware is an amazing young woman. She always has a smile on her face, remembers you AND is very knowledgeable re anything you need. This is a great local business worth going to and supporting!
Very reasonable screen and glass repair.
Great little shop. They have most of what you need for quick little repairs and projects around the house. Great plants in the garden too. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Way better than dealing with the headache of Home Depot or Lowes.
Besides great prices, we have always received great, knowledgeable, professional, and polite customer service. They go out of their way to help you looking for everything that you need. If they dont have in stock they will immediately order it for you. Our Family have been a long time/decades consumers/ customers for Brooklyn Hardware Store. Thank you guys for such a great service. 👍👍👍👍👍
Small store but always seems to have exactly what I’m looking for. Everyone is helpful and prices are fair. Thank you!
Great hardware store because it has the items needed for regular home repairs at a good price.
Good place to find hardware...very nice employees
Bad service, employees are very rude. Theyre very quick to engage in a verbal argument and be crude about it. They basically let you know they dont need your business. Be careful with the cashier. She is the worst of them. She will literally fight you for no reason.
I went into this store on a long shot, not really expecting to find what I was looking for. Within minutes I was able to locate exactly what I had hoped to find so that when the clerk offers his assistance, I kindly decline. So pleased I was in this moment that I venture to take a look around and I notice the key making station. The same clerk was there, along with the cashier and some other dude. I ask the clerk for his help in removing three keys to be copied. I tell him I need a total of five keys and he repeats back my request, just to confirm and then proceeds to hand the keys over to another guy. I figure that I dont need to wait and continue to look around, I find out later that I couldnt have been more wrong!Having picked up a few other items I go to check out, the clerk tells me my keys are all in the bag. It wasnt until I go out to my car when I find only two of my original keys had been copied. My pad lock key was just gone altogether. I go back in and tell the cashier and she insists they were in the bag. With key guy, standing right there I ask about my other key. He just stares at me with not one glimmer of recognition. I turn to the clerk, who was my only hope and think surely he must remember me or my key. I am shocked when he simply states, there were 10. Ten?? He is useless, Deep breath, I am feeling a darkness enter the store as I stand there while the guy who made the key and this ugly cashier both just look at me and tell me there was nothing they can do and they meant that, literally. The clerk, the key maker, the cashier did NOTHING to acknowledge my concerns let alone actually finding my key! They did however, completely dismiss me, and that was when I thought, these people are trying to make me look absolutely crazy! I go back to my car, no key, I go back in with determination but honestly not knowing how bad this situation was going to get. I make a plea, once again to the cashier but her nature is just rude and perhaps evil. I count to ten, take another deep breathe...I feel eerily calm and I just know Im about to lose it. I so dont want to go there, the countdown begins but thank Jesus for divine interventions! Suddenly, I hear someone say, Is this your Brinks key? I look up by the key making machine to see this older woman, a clerk that I hadnt seen before. I swear she just came out of nowhere. I say yes, yes it is. Thank you so very much. I leave thanking God to be out of that weird, wicked place and even happier to escape the potential horror show of losing ones temper.I honestly dont know what was going on with these people. What they did was so shockingly unnatural and so random, a most frightening the experience, indeed. Buyer Beware!
My go to place for all hardware needs. Try to stay away from the big stores if I can. Brooklyn Hardware always has more than enough people available to help and prices are very good.
Will not have a window screen replaced or fixed ever again. Very unprofessional
Went to make copies of house keys. It was cheap ($1 each copy) and quick. Would go again, & would recommend to others. :)
Great little old school hardware store. Perfect place to get what you need to fix whatever it is
Very helpful. The clerk took his time to explain to me how the washers could be the culprit so that I not spend money on the entire shower handle and valve. The place is exactly what it portrays to be a neighboorhood plumbing supply. Its a shame that home Depot and other chains had to gobble these type of neighboorhood shops.
Always am able to find what I need here, but dont bother asking them to cut your keys, they will do it wrong. Thankfully they do have a good return policy.
Very help full awesome customer service 💯💯💯
Staff are really helpful. Willing to take stuff to your car and if they can help you fix a problem right then and there they will. Been coming here since I was a kid and I havent found a better place to go.
I like the everything about the store. The only thing I found flaw in was their customer service.
