It is clear why he is the leader in his field, and why other hat makers copy his designs. Came across this talented hat maker in Venice, CA many years ago and I’ve never been so impressed with quality and unique craftsmanship. Alberto is truly making one of kind pieces after learning historic techniques from 3 generations of Mexican hat makers. The real deal. I get compliments all the time and love how versatile my hat is - I can wear it year round and he diligently worked to make the fit perfect so it feels like I’m wearing nothing. Picking details in accessorizing was my favorite part of the process. Would highly recommend getting one for yourself or as a gift, my friends have been touched by such a personalized present!

I booked a special fitting appointment with Alberto and he was able to accommodate to my available time. When I arrived I was greeted with positive and welcoming vibes which made me feel like my experience was going to be enjoyable. As Alberto fitted my head, we discussed what material I want, what design aspect I wanted for my hat. Once everything was picked and thought thru he told me it would be ready within a week. I got a call several days later and was happy it was done early.Highly recommend this hat maker, for all your hat needs.

Every hat Alberto Hernandez designs is also a piece of art. He is a master like no other and in my opinion the best hatter in the world. His creativity and originally are backed up by knowledge and craftsmanship. Meshika hats are the best!! They are a statement and are worn with pride. Others try to copy but fall short. All of us that know his work could actually recognize a Meshika hat even if it was spotted while traveling to a different destination. And if you are wearing yours at the time it’s almost like you belong to the same club! Getting a Meshika hat custom created is not a purchase it’s actually an investment. The hats are amazing!!! My boyfriend got me a hat from here for Christmas and it was gorgeous. He was able to customize it to make it unique and perfect for me. I got so many compliments on it while I was on vacation!! The quality of the hat is so high - I havent had an issue with it and I havent seen anything like it on the market. Amazing work.
