Have only had this new car for two months and came in because there was a nail in my tire. After being here for 4 HOURS and paying almost $200 for a new tire this is how they give it back to me! My rim looked nothing like this before! We noticed right when we got home and had to come all the way back and the manager brushed it off as if this were normal. They think this is an exceptional way to return a car to their customer… the manager said they will fix it right away and but right now we asked his employee and he just told us there’s no guaranteed time so hopefully we’re not here for ANOTHER HOUR. FYI the managers name is Juan

A 2-hour oil change? Ive had several Hondas that have been serviced here and everyone is super nice and friendly. But unfortunately they put you through the ringer any time you step in the doors with lease trade-ins, buy backs, etc. A simple oil change is now a two hour process where I was called TWICE during my wait time to either trade-in or buy back my car. I understand the service center is attached to the dealership but it makes a relatively simple process anywhere else turn into a huge waste of time. Good people, great service but they dont respect your time.

Great service and was really happy with what I left, I walked in expecting to buy a used 370z. Anthony (one of the workers ) was very patient and helped me look for a car that i really liked and showed me several of them . At the end I was happy leaving the dealership with a brand new Honda Civic 2022.

I had a great experience at Honda of Downtown. Got a beautiful brand new Honda Civic and the process was very smooth. From the moment I entered till signing by the end of the day Jerry (Jr) Herrera, one of the sales people was extremely kind and helpful. The manager Jerry Arroyo really worked with me to understand my needs and find a deal and price that was suited to my needs. And finally Mario Medina, the finance manager, helped seal the deal walking me through all the contracts and going to great lengths to get me the final deal exactly as I wanted. As a testament to his customer service, he remembered me from over 2 years ago when I came to get my first car at this exact dealership.

I just came back from the Honda dealership of LA earlier today on a Sunday afternoon. The sales floor was quite busy with plenty of customers. I was looking at an SUV, but realistically thinking I would end up with a Civic in the back of my mind.In the end, Mario helped me get what I wanted! Mario Medina and Ignacio took absolute care to ensure what I was looking for. I ended up with what I truly wanted in the CR-V with the ideal monthly financing option.Mario was the first professional salesmen I came across and I felt comfortable enough to not give anyone else a chance. Both Mario and Ignacio understood what I was looking for and took care of it for me. The whole negotiating process was easy, straight forward, and ended with a hand shake. I recently bought a Honda Accord here and I love it. The salesman was nice and didn’t seem pushy. However I give this place 1 star because they add on optional items such as paint protection, security system and oil changes at an extra charge without telling you! They make it seem like it’s included and when I asked them if I could decline they didn’t say no. It’s hard enough being and young woman buying a car on her own as it is, I feel taken advantage of after this place. I thought they seemed nice and trustworthy but I should’ve known not to let my guard down at a dealership.

Highly recommend this dealership. All employees were exceptionally polite and helpful. We received very good customer service from Richard Solis who was amazing and very professional in answering all our inquiries. Richard went out his way to really make us feel comfortable and have a good experience with honda. Richard also looked at the customer (us) best interest and did not just try to sale us a car. It was my first time getting a car and I had the pleasure of working with Miguel and David. Being that it was my first time purchasing a car, Miguel T. was very thorough with me about the process. He gave me an option that was best for me at the time and initially I was skeptical of the car choice because it wasnt the car I wanted. (Of course, when you have no source of income you cant get your desired car). Nonetheless, it ran well and was small just how I like it!Since it is a used car, i did run into one problem with a leak, but David H was very kind to get it fixed immediately with no extra charge. In no time, I was able to leave the lot for good with my purchased vehicle.The service of my entire experience was great. Especially when I rang the bell after my purchase (: When you go to Honda, ask them Wheres Miguel and David H.?, you wont be sorry :D

Ive always come to this location for maintenance on my Honda vehicles. they do excellent work & do all they can go keep you satisfied as a customer. if there are any inconveniences they do anything to make it right. the customer service is always friendly & professional. they do well explaining any work that will be done to the car & even let you know what to expect the next time youll be there when it come stop future maintenance. the waiting area is clean & orderly. would definitely recommend you give this location a try

Pedro was great, as was the rest of the staff. I had a pre-purchase inspection done on a car I wanted to buy from a 3rd seller. They broke down costs and communication/payment was super simple. I could tell Pedro was there to help me understand the prices/reasoning behind the itemized issues with the car and they even washed the outside of the car!

I came here to talk with “Sales Manager” Eric and lease a car based on their special offer that was posted on their website and he did not want to honor it. I was instead told that I needed to pay over $9900 total down payment, when the special lease offer was for $1780.Once I started to walk away, they offered to bring it down to $2500. That tells you how much this place tries to rip you off at first. So then they tried to get me to pay $465 a month, when the special offer was for $259. Again, I tried to walk away and they offered to bring it down to $362.Eric and his team even mock you for not agreeing to their monthly lease price. He said he will help me with $1 a day to make up the difference to my offer of $330 a month. This place is a joke and I would not make a deal with Eric. At the end they let me walk out with no deal and no car.

I visited Honda DTLA to trade-in my 2019 Civic for a 2022 CRV Hybrid. They had the largest selection of CRVs available within a reasonable driving range of my home. Bryce helped me with the process. He listened to what I wanted, worked hard at getting me the value I wanted for my trade-in, and got me on a new 2022 CRV-EXL Hybrid. He was not the stereotypical car-sales man: pushy! He was actually patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.He and Chris from finance processed my purchase very efficiently. I left within a couple of hours with my new car (after signing a lot of documents!)

Only receiving 3 stars because 1 of 2 things happened when I arrived for my appointment that is 2 hours away. These 2 factors are very important and these questions were asked when I called ahead of time to set up the test drive of this 2018 Accord. The first of which being, i specifically asked how many miles the car had and was told only 20,000 miles, remember im driving 2 hours on the potential of buying a car. I was not dead set on buying this specific Accord. The car was and still is in great condition but miles on it could tell an entirely different story. Apon arrival i found that the car had an additional 20,000 miles and when asked Honda of downtown LA didnt really seem to give me an answer. So, quick math 20 + 20 =40, the car that I drove 2 hours for believing it only had 20,000 miles was 40,000. Not the worst thing in the world but this is a lie and thats a considerable amount more than what was told. Non the less this Accord was great, I could tell it had been sitting for awhile, it had a very minor accident in the car fax report, it had more miles than expected, but it was clean, almost perfect body frame, and boy did it drive smooth. Now on to the second reason as to why I didnt want to give them more stars. Honda was great the entire time. I was treated as a respectable customer ready to buy anyone of their vehicles at anytime but they would not stop asking to run my credit. I get it, if I go through them they get something out of it but they were down right relentless. Entire portions of the conversation were just dedicated to the attempt of getting me a better deal through them. I repeatedly expressed my discomfort of doing so and even still it took them three different people, all of which looked higher ranking than the last, to finally get them to stop. I cant express enough how draining it was going back and forth and back and forth just repeat no so many times. Still they were very perfessional and I walked out with a 2018 Honda Accord. If it wasnt already apparent im very happy with my purchase. Side note, I look very young and this was my first time buying off an official lot at age 23. I was told there was no way I could get 5,000 taken off this car, hahaha, I sure proved them wrong and think I did pretty well for my first trial.

I purchased a new Hrv 2022 . Next day I found there was scratches on the car . Back up camera was bad . I am very disappointed. The salesperson Alexandra said everything was fine and not sure happened after I took the car 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾.Even Car doors doesn’t close properlyI reported all this problems within 24 hr .

I wish I could leave a 5 star review then I wouldn’t be so stressed out. The sales person that helped me was nice but after I drove off with the new car my experience with DTLA Honda have been a nightmare. I got the car on 6/5/2021 and this have been the worst car buying experience ever. Someone messed up the paperwork by making typos on my Social security number and my address. I know mistakes happen and my issue is I’m not getting any communication from the dealership. When they want to sell a car they will go above and beyond but now that they have made a mistake crickets. I’m sure I’ll get a phone call when the payment is due. I’ve been calling and leaving messages and I get no response. I’ve been to the dealership and was treated like I was a bother for coming in and made to wait for a long time. Also, I traded a car and it hasn’t been paid off. I’m guessing because my information is incorrect. So I’m paying for a car I don’t have anymore. I haven’t been able to enjoy the new car. It’s so messed up and stressful. Because of this I will probably never get another Honda. Honda could have made the situation a little better buy simply providing good customer service and communicating.

Todd Arnold was awesome and great deal with. He made things very easy and I walked out with what I wanted. However the car detailed apartment is absolutely horrible! They did not clean the inside of my vehicle and there was trash left in it from them. Someone set their soda can on my Fender which left a sticky residue on my Fender and didnt bother to wipe it off. There was water in the cargo area that was about an inch deep and I have pictures to prove it. There were smudge marks and handprints all over the interior windshield. They turned a great experience into a very disappointing one! I was offered a free detail to make up for it but I do not want them to touch my vehicle! They are totally taking advantage of the dealership and giving them a bad name!

Came here because my boyfriend was looking to buy his first car and all we knew was that we wanted a hybrid and an affordable price. Mario Medina helped us out and I was impressed with his incredible customer service skills!! He was super friendly, super helpful, didn’t pressure us into buying anything and even encouraged us to do test drives on other cars before settling on the insight which we fell in love with almost instantly. After exploring another dealership, it only reinforced to us that the insight was the way to go and we had to go back to Mario. The best part about this car buying experience is that despite the paperwork and hours spent at the dealership, overall we had a good time and were really happy with the price and the car. Went into the dealer with good vibes and wanting to come out with a new vehicle, I know that at times you have to stand your ground to get a good deal. The only thing I did not like is that the sales person (Omar esqueda) after making a deal for a new vehicle he does not honor it. By this I mean that right before me going in to sign the contract they tell me that they were taking things off (features) without me knowing, from what it was going to be my vehicle. Apparently to meet the already arranged price. At the end I had to pay $957.60 (which apparently was 50%) so they could put back what they were taking off!!!

Pedro was extremely helpful and attentive throughout the entire process, and I felt very taken care of every step of the way.In this instance all of my needs were met. However, in the past when I got my car serviced at this same location, I had a few concerns about factory defects in my car, but because I didn’t know what was going on exactly, the technician that helped me during my previous visit didn’t bother to find the actual problem. This ended up becoming a missed detail that ultimately cost me in the long run because my car ended up getting broken into due to a malfunctioning lock.Therefore all I have to say is:If you do end up going to this location, be very specific about you need and what you want because they are very busy at all times, and key details might be missed if you don’t point out things to them. I’m sure everyone is great at their job and ultimately very helpful, but I will however 100% recommend Pedro if you’re going to this location.

The female phone operator from the service department has the worst service standards I have seen. I would never come to this dealership ever so it be for parts, service or car purchase because I dont need to put up with this kind of rude service.

Terrible service by the employees. Call to ask about a car and talk to a internet sales person named Oscar and he told me they had the car on the dealer in stock. We live in San Diego drove two hours and a half and back when we got there they told us the car wasn’t there that they sold it that morning. Supposedly nobody knew what happen, but they new the car wasn’t there and they made me go all the way there knowing that we were coming from far . Spend 6 hours waiting for them to find another car and they offer us another car and they were going to start the process they told us the car was damage. They should of just told us at the beginning that they didn’t have that car that we were looking instead of making us wait that long. At the end we left with no car and very frustrated because of what happened. We left out jobs early to go there. We ask several times to speak to a manager and the manager never came to us neither the other person “Oscar”.A lot of miscommunication in them. Nobody knew anything or maybe they did they just didn’t know how to handle the situation they just look at each other. Not going back to them. Terrible service.

Ive taken my car here for service a few times and the experience was generally positive. The service reps are friendly and courteous. Check-in and pickup is a breeze. Nothing noteworthy happened until today when I brought my car in for a recall.The service representative helping me, Juan Salazar, went absolutely above and beyond. He was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. His communication and customer service skills were top notch. He thoroughly explained everything to me. He gave me a very detailed report explaining everything they did. He took the time when I picked up my car to clearly go over everything they inspected and every minor item which will require service in the future (which wasnt much - Honda are king when it comes to reliability)! In addition to the excellent service, they even washed my (admittedly filthy) car too!Prices for the other service items at this dealership are in line with other dealerships that Ive been to, including Honda of Pasadena and Honda of Monrovia.This dealership is fairly new and they gave a lot of thought to making the experience seamless and convenient. One minor thing to note is that the service entrance is actually on the south side of the building, on 40th place, not Martin Luther King boulevard.

5 star sales person, 0 star for the financial guy.I was communicating with the sales person very well. We exchanged ideas and discussed the details. To be honest, the condition of the car was not in its best shape. With the short test drive, I noticed that the AC is not working at all, heavy wear on the left side of the steering wheel, glue residuals on the dashboard, etc. The car was listed for about 18.5K with the internet sale, but the financial guy came up with a 1.5K aftermarket anti-theft option included with a total of nearly 24K MSRP. I clearly stated that I am not interested in the aftermarket option, and I will offer around 21K without the anti-theft system, but the financial guy kept using the phrase meet in the middle endlessly. After I stated that I have been meeting with your middle many times already, and I wont listen to your endless middle without you listening to my concern and respecting my time. Everyone is clear that he tried to push the price closer to 24K, and I understand the business side of the deal. He acted like a little victim after I told him my final offer is 21K without the anti-theft program. Once he spoke to his supervisor, he came to me happily and told me they rejected my offer like he won, and he expected me to leave instead of showing the willingness for further negotiation. I dont think negotiation is a one side deal or a battle, but certainly he made it like that. I walked out peacefully, and I know I wont be back to this place again. I feel sorry for the sales person also because he was professional and nice all the time.

I leased a 2019 Honda Accord from there back in 2019 as my first least car and first Honda (coming from Cadillac and Mitsubishis) since I needed something affordable and good looking while I am finishing my education. That day I came from other non-friendly and non-helpful dealerships in the area which will not be named. It was 9pm and place was ready to close but here comes the salesperson Claudia Castro coming and helping me and my family get the best deal for our buck and the car I wanted. She stayed until it was just us and her and one more person in Finance and she did it with professionalism and class. We didnt get the car that night but we got it the next morning and she was here ready to go. I havent seen that dedication to a customer ever and I came from the business as a Service Manager for a Keyes dealership myself. I was amazed and I knew I wanted my business to be from this dealership if she was working there. A few days ago I returned my lease and got a new 2021 Honda Insight lease. And I requested her ONLY and ONLY HER because I knew she would help me and she did 1000%. Even when I was about to leave because the price wasnt right, she worked on my behalf and wouldnt take no for an answer and I am now driving a new lease that I love. I can imagine this dealership has great salespeople but I want it to be known that Claudia Castro is in that highest pinnacle of excellence. I am recommending my mother and several friends who are looking for cars themselves during these time to go to this specific dealership and ONLY work with Claudia. I personally am still a Cadillac customer but I will continue coming to this place to work with her because Hondas have made a good impression on me and wherever Claudia goes my business will go there as well. To the owner and manager of this establishment, I thank you for having such a superb salesperson like her and I will be back personally in 2 years for another lease or purchase. And I know who I will want to work with. Thank you Claudia for everything!

I am very disappointed with the servr dept at this dealership. Today, after ordering 4 wheels ahead of time, indroppwd off my vehicle. Service lady told me wheels were coming. Now, no one can tell me over the phone if my car is ready. I dont recommend you this dealer. They dont provide good service. They hung up on me and the lady in service said there was no one to assist me. I call sales and they hung up on me after attempting to transferring my call. Dont use this dealer. This is the last time I do.

MIGUEL TEJEDA went above and beyond in every aspect . He was super patient with me . Never felt pressured into getting something I did not want . He even called up the competition to demonstrate that they did have more competitive pricing but in the end his salespersonship and winning demonstration of the Honda Insight won me over. We purchased a used car on Sunday, waited over 3 hours for the paperwork to be completed, then drove the vehicle back home ( 2 hr drive). The next day we noticed that the seal on the window shield on both sides were missing. Because we didnt sign the cancellation policy we were not able to return the car. It had only been 24 hrs or less!. They have you sign documents and fail to explain anything, more importantly something as critical as you cant return this car without asking for a specific cancellation policy. They put the restocking fee on the documents so we assumed that we could return if necessary. When I called to ask to return the car and pay the restocking fee they declined, but said we are willing to pay half of the cost to repair the windshield. They said they would email me a form to fill out. Now they are avoiding my calls. We probably will not purchase from this dealership again. Lesson here, read every line. If you dont ask they will not disclose. This simple repair should have been done before placing this car on CarGurus to sale.

BEWARE: Emailed internet team if a car was available. They called me and i answer and provided information. After that, it was 2 weeks of the same thing from different sales people asking for the same information calling me every day. Emails, calls spamming my phone with different sales people asking for the same information. I keep asking them if there is a mark up and they say no mark ups, msrp price.I call the day before i go in. I set up the appointment. I take an 8 hour bus ride for an appointment. I show up, the person i have a scheduled appointment wasnt there, or didnt give me the time of day, and they handed me off to another newer sales man. He then asked me the same questions all the others sales people have already asked on the phone. I tell them specifically what i want, again, and told them the same thing again. 4 hours later, they mark up the price 2 grand adding on other stuff. In total msrp was 26k, after everything its 36k. I bought the car because it was almost 10 pm at night and i didnt want to get stranded in LA because I didnt have a car. They rushed me through the contract portion and mention arbitration in the contract when they handed it over for me to sign. I signed it all because it was late and i had a 6 and a half hour drive back. I would like to claim that i was under a lot of pressure and return the car but i know hondas legal team has too much leverage and know they can do this once the arbitration clause is signed and i had already sold my only car the day before.Long story short, they lie. all of them do. If they quote a number for interest rate or price, its not true and if you mention anything about price theyll make you wait like they did to me. There is no need to travel to Downtown LA Honda, just buy in your own city. Last note, they dont honor veterans.

The service to my vehicle was good. But what lack was customer service. I did not have an appointment because nothing was available for the time I needed. I decided to just come in as soon as they opened (7am). A couple of minutes that they took my car in, I came back to speak to the representative who helped me. I informed him that my 2020 civic passenger car cover was loose. He informed me that because I did not have an appointment it could not be check. To which I responded seriously, he said yes because the car might have to be there 2 or 3 days. But if you make an appointment we can take a look and see if its covered under warranty or it had been tampered with in which you would be responsible for it I was dumbfounded and walked away after that. Thank you for letting me know that there was a possibility I caused the damage. I was going to speak to a manager on the spot, but decided not to because it was early to bother them and who knows if they were there too. I have noted that if I want service of anything I must make an appointment. Thank you Downtown Honda.

Maria was great! She helped us purchase our car, we were a first time buyer. She was amazing and was able to explain things. However a con was the wait time, I know she was handling multiple customers at a time but we wait a hour for her at one point. She also didn’t fully explain the lease first payment had to be there which caught us off guard. However besides that she was great!

Honestly was great. Alex was really nice, super chill, and really helpful. Made an appointment with him and was able to walk in and get my first new car from him. Arturo was also really helpful when it came to financing and explaining everything. And also Will helped out a lot with insurance for my cars.Would recommend this to anyone when looking for a Honda. Only suggestion anybody planning to get a car. It might take about five hours do do all the paper work and get the car ready. But either way very happy I came to this place.
