Mitsuwa is larger than Nijiya, and has a good sized food court so that you can get a yummy lunch before or after you shop till you drop. Every Japanese thing you can imagine in a supermarket they have in stock. They have fresh sushi, sashimi, rice cakes and so much more. When we visited the line was over 15 meters long, and yet it went by fast as the clerks work super fast.
Google will probably delete this. But for anyone who wants to know, this supermarket now has multiple v@x police in their store checking peoples v@x card. They even got a check point set up in the middle of their store. Suddenly, I felt like Im in east Germany or communist China. They seems to care more to know if youve taken a commercial pharmaceutical product than serving their customers. Its a shame that this neighborhood store went full medical fascist and participate in modern segregation. The solution is easy. I will be boycotting this business and will not spend a single dime here from now on. Good luck!
Love this place. Great ramen and an even greater selection of authentic Japanese foods.
My husband and I used to live coming here but since our last visit it’s was horrible . The environment didn’t feel safe I constantly had to worry about my belonging. Please be careful coming here .
Good Japanese supermarket. Great produce and treats selection.
Mitsuwa has practically everything you need in the way of Asian/Japanese goods. Their selection of sushi grade fish is wonderful. The food court has a lot to offer, and so does their prepared food section! We get prepared sushi from there often if we dont have time to make our own at home. Best of all are their eggs that are sources from Japan. Not sure why theyre so amazing, but they are! Easy parking and a convenient location. No complaints.
Lovely produce and connected to restaurant food court.
Smaller branch store. Street exit is inconvenient due to absence of a light and proximity to a busy intersection. Good though not comprehensive variety of products. Clean.
Awesome place to shop and great food court. Always clean and bustling with people. Never too crowded though. Definitely worth a visit.
This grocery store was ready for me! I came for ingredients to make spam masubi and was delighted to see the lovely restaurant on the other side of the store. Mitsuwa has everything you need for lunch and dinner when it comes to inventory and the ambiance is very authentic!
Love, love, love this place! Perfect size and selection. The dining section is great place to get a bite.
Like this Japanese grocery store and the food in the surrounding take out places Excellent quality and taste
Place is clean and organized luv shopping here for Japanese ingredients plus they have a good set up of indoor food courts in case you want to stop enjoy a meal
Only four stars because its a bit small. I prefer the newer Redondo location, which is bigger and has a few more restaurant choices. Nevertheless, I love this location as well.
Smaller than Torrance but have essentials. Next to CVS. Book store have really cute items and the cafe have really good shakes, coffee jelly drinks and really good pudding .
Love this place.Great little Japanese supermarket, as well as multiple restaurants and a Japanese paper goods & manga / anime bookstore.
Love this place! Really excellent ramen. Check it out.
Japanese Market, yeah thats it!Japanese food court, alright!Japanese fancy store, oh fosho!Boba coffee is extra!! ;)
Im amazed at all the amazing things I found in the store you got to check it out
Its honestly the perfect place for those who love Japanese food and want to buy manga at their bookstore all at the same time.
Reminds me of the former location in Western Ave in Torrance. It has its classical feel and the food court is larger. The place is stocked up with food, drinks, book store, etc.
Great for Japanese pantry basics and produce. I also like getting milk tea or coffee at the cafe after I shop
One stop shopping for everything necessary to make sushi at home (particularly the various choices of sushi grade fish). If only they were everywhere.
Japanese supermarket with anything you could ever want to make Japanese cuisine. Also has a great food court and lovely little stationary and bookstore attached.
Smaller than the Torrance location, but you can still find many great products.
The supermarket is great - good place to if youre looking to cook your own Japanese food. They have a small foodcourt next to the supermarket. The food here is reasonably priced, albeit nothing extraordinary. I have yet to try all restaurants here, the curry udon i tried was
Ate some of the Japanese food at the food court. Was not very good, would not go back.
Very amazing market with the best ramen selection ever! We had such a great time coming and loved grocery shopping. The restaurant smelled really good and had a good line for them! I will definitely be coming back tomorrow support this business.
Smaller than other mitsuwas. Great for Japanese groceries
For some reason, everything from Japan is just more fun. Dont ask me why.
Great japanese market with a large selection, and the eateries inside are so delicious its always hard to choose which one to eat at.
You always have a range of items to choose from. This grocery store is a spot for those who want to make food without much difficulty in long queuing lines for payment. For a very affordable price, fresh produce is of good quality. Well-maintained and not busy was the store. They got everything for you! Highly suggested!
Love this place! Great variety of food in Food Court. Great supermarket!
I love Mitsuwa market as you can get a lot of Japanese foods at this location. They always have good quality stuff in my opinion and personally I never had any issues with the quality of the products they had.. I would recommend
Mitsuwa is an amazing marketplace to get basically any Japanese food you want. They also have a few little Japanese chain restaurants in there to eat at. I always try something new that I end up really liking+
Very convenient asian supermarket.
I usually visit the one on Westgate and Santa Monica Blvd but I just happened to see this one on Venice Blvd and decided to check it out . Great food. Their hamburgers with grilled onions are the bomb but pretty much everything they make is really good . not bad at all for just a Roch coach considering the fact sometimes you go to a nice restaurant and come out all dissapointed after spending a good amount of money. . good work guys!!
A little expensive, but a decent selection with a great little food court.
Great market if you like baking sushi and shashimi and Japanese food they are pretty much everything you need
I will surely recommend this grocery shop to all of my friends and family. The aisles are wide and it is not that crowded. They have absolutely everything here. The shop is cozy, cold, and wide. The staves were all accommodating and knows exactly what they are doing. I didnt regret my decision to use your service, guys. You are the best among the rest!
Lot of variety. Definitely good place to get dinner; there’s something for everyone.
This place is on, Centinela and Venice Blvd. The prices are a bit pricey. But, products fresh. Of course some products come from Japan.
Huge fan! Lots of different types of Asian food. There are also a bunch of little cafes and restaurants inside with great food that is super reasonable. Lots of ramen, udon and noodle options as well as boba and baked goods. They have seating for the cafe and restaurants that can be a little hard to find when its really busy. Theres also a little store that has all kinds of kitchy stuff, Asain books, figurines, key chains, and much more. Theres a huge parking lot out front so parking is super easy.
I like this Mitsuwa. It has a large selection of Japanese groceries. The one in Torrance has relocated to the Del Amo shopping center. The prices are higher in the Torrance Mitsuwa.
Delicious Japanese foods, drinks, and snacks. If you live near here, its worth checking out. They have a cool gift shop with cool pens, plushes, mangas, and more pens. Bathrooms also in good shape. There is often a 10 minute line as of right now, due to corovid-nineteen. Thanks guys m
Always good food and a great selection of Japanese groceries.
This is now one of my regular spots to grab veggies and meat. Im always finding new things I havent tried before. Convenient location, but the lines can sometimes get crowded because the store is small.
The line looks a lot longer than it actually is. Social distancing is a pleasant, organized experience. Great place.
Great selection of items, and surprisingly fairly priced. Was expecting higher prices, but was happy to see things are appropriately priced.
Called and asked for availability of an item, I was told they have it in stock and even gave me the price. I drove 14 miles to find out she was wrong.
Awesome place. Variety of Japanese products, food and souvenirs.
There arent enough of these kinds of stores. Finding a good tokoyaki next to your other hard-to-find imported grocery favorites is bliss.
They have a great selection of real Japanese products. There is even imported Kobe beef at $80 per pound.
People who come here regularly know whats up. If you havent been to this market before, what are you waiting for?! The hub for asian cuisine and groceries! Get your groceries and then get some green tea ice cream to go- thats my routine.
For your go to needs, grocery shop, book store, lunch spots and good desserts!
Good Japanese Market. But bit expensive
Super clean, organized, somewhat large selection of asian products, good produce choices and quality, great meat selection and quality; staff is courteous and helpful, good parking in front of the store.
This is still my favorite ramen place, of course its the only one Ive visited in person.
Great food there
Great Asian market. They have a kinokuniya inside if you wanna get some awesome stationary. Food court is closed for the pandemic but still lots of premade options in the store.
Very helpful staff
Love mitsuwa always a great experience.
So many unique groceries to try!!I loved everything I bought.
One of my favorite places to shop. Employees in the marketplace are friendly and helpful. Ive never had a bad meal in the food court. And if you like stationary there is a Kinokuniya inside too (different hours than the marketplace)
Somewhat crowded, but they managed the crowd with a line to enter. The lines moved quickly with well marked cashier lines.
Looking for fresh sashimi or hard to find Asian food or spices this is the best place to go
I love Mitsuwa. got some royce chocolate and food court has delicious food offerings as well.
The best salmon ever!!! Anything Japanese food related, I guarantee you they will carry.
Get the japanese chicken curry from one of the stores in the food court. Its really cheap and tasty. Can be slightly heavy due to the thick curry, but its really good. Was slightly disappointed with the boba tea from the bakery cause it was almost similar to black tea without any milk. But the supermarket in the complex made up for the boba. Amazing variety of japanese snacks.
I love this market. Actually took my daughter here so she could check out the selection of manga. We ended up buying ingredients to make chicken curry and picked up some udon and cucumber rolls. Be prepared to wait in line. We waited for about 20 minutes.
A gateway to better appreciating Asian culture and cuisine. A place for real experiences and not just something that caters to tourism money. Locals shop here, foreign nationals shop here and its absolutely worth a visit.
Need more sales but overall great customer service
Love the Mitsuwa Marketplace. Large variety of food to select from. Love it.
Lovely Japanese market! Excellent quality and fresh produce and fish. Japanese food and other products not generally stocked in main stream stores.
I always enjoy this market. They have the nicest treats. People are nice.
