Very bad expirense. From security gard to manager they look at you like your going to still something. The manager is a Latino guy with curly hair, be aware, he is very rude. He doesnt listen and he is aggressive, be careful. Dont come to buy anything from here, besides you need to pay $10.00 for parking even though you validate.

Love this place for inexpensive sushi and rolls that taste pretty awesome and are made fresh daily! Make sure you make it by 4, because after that, you may not find too many fresh trays on the shelf as people do buy them at a good rate. Havent been disappointed by their quality in all the months I have been going there. Oh, and yes, they do take your temperature before going, so they are considering precautions given the current state of things. Adds a sense of security in my opinion. They also include chopsticks for any roll set you get. If you dont see them, add it in at checkout, just ask.

This is the perfect place for me to purchase a product at a fair price, and the employees are both friendly and willing to help consumers. If I had to score, Id give it a five-star rating!

I was in the Little Tokyo area for a pre-musical dinner. I stopped in here to pick up a drink before heading back to the Ahmanson Theatre. Its located on the ground floor of the Weller Court at the corner of 1st St and Los Angeles St. While the prices arent the best, they are still decent. The store is always well organized, well stocked, and clean.

It is located inside the little Tokyo District in Downtown Los Angeles. There were also restaurants and other businesses around its proximity. This Market was really authentic with Japanese products. It is small but it seems to have most of the necessity for Japanese customers needed. Even though it was small size, but it was crowded with customers even the tourist like me to come in.

This market is truly amazing and most things you want to get from a Japanese supermarket are here. Now many people might complain on the price of everything, heres the thing most products here are cheap enough. But keep in mind most of these products are being shipped from Japan to the US, because of this they are going to be more expensive. Either way Ive visited this market for years and it always delivers on most things I need and or want.

This is the last time I will visit Marukai Market. To be fair, I did like the food marukai offers, HOWEVER, A Mexican guy with curly hair who works at the parking was extremely rude to me. I shopped at marukai, got my parking ticket validated, but he still asked me for parking fee because I was slightly over an hour. I asked him is there an ATM nearby, he ignored me. I asked him if I can pay by card, He rejected me, and made me drive down 2 levels to find a parking space again, and go back to the store for change. All the ice cream I bought from Marukai have melted during this process, I wasted my money and time. Because of the Stupid guy works at the parking lot, I will never come back again to shop at Marukai again.

Overall always loved coming to this market . I understand the whole social distancing but literally we were way behind the register and just put our things we were gonna purchase on the tray because the women in front of us had her things and was just getting the receipt and this guy named MANFRED (rude!) says “are you together with her? No? Then go back or the line “ first of if they don’t even have a big enough sign saying where exactly to stand or where the line is it’s basically a piece a red paper which is no where in seeing distance it’s literally not even on the floor or it taped onto a stand of snacks like it could’ve been a price on paper . Point is he’s tone was so rude basically told us to go to the line way to the back just call to us back ???? Like uhhh okay ? It was just the fact of how rude he was i don’t know if he was trying to flirt with the girl but come on don’t be rude especially when at the end of my purchase I wasn’t rude or said anything mean back to you, could’ve been a karen but wasn’t . But I love this store never had a problem until today .

Food price is good. However its underground parking is extremely Horrible, old and shabby. The WOREST part is Marukai market won’t give you a validation if you shop less than $25. And there is no sign and explanation in the market or the parking lot for this rule. This is really weird. So people shop less for 25 bucks is not a customer for your market???I’m ok with paying for parking, but if you don’t give a clear sign and let people know there is minimum requirement for a parking validation, then provide validation to ALL your customers.Tips: choose street parking for your safety or never come back.
