The Little Knittery is such a wonderful place. I took lessons with the owner Kat and let me say, she is a gift from the knitting world. The shop is very nice and welcoming and has a comfy area to sit and knit. The lessons are very reasonably priced and they even have a group knit night on Friday evenings. I’m very happy I found this place.
Walked in off the street, & came away with some extremely beautiful yarn. The shopkeeper was very helpful and guided me to the best yarn to use with my knitting machine and helped me find some extremely soft and lovely cotton yarn to use for someone with animal fiber allergies.
I love this place! Come there for not just for for the yarn but for the inspiration :) Love the staff and art work on display! If you’re not from our neighborhood it still with to drive here!
A thoroughly excellent experience with honestly lovely people. I shop for yarn around the world and this is hands-down my favourite destination. If you love calm, beautifully curated spaces and luxury yarns with gorgeous samples, go here.

Best yarn shop in LA. Kat Coyle is the shop owner & incredibly lovely & talented. I needed a project that would be simple while dealing with my fathers medical care in hospital & rehab. Kats Two-toned tee was the perfect answer & I really love it. Looking forward to taking one of the weaving courses next. Thanks Kat!!
Wonderful store. My son took me yesterday on my first visit to LASuch wonderful yarns, great atmosphere, and so very friendly
Love this wee gem.I find such peace and respite and yummy yarn. Not to mention.......the owner Kat
This is an excellent little yarn shop in Atwater Village. They offer knitting and crochet classes for beginners (and theres currently a Groupon promotion for this class if you are interested.)Its a little expensive, but most quality yarns are expensive in general, compared to the cheaper acrylic products youd find at a big box store. The atmosphere here is great, with yarn stacked on shelves around all of the walls, and the selection is excellent. I definitely recommend it, especially if you are a beginner interested in learning, as they will help you choose what materials you need to get started.
The Little Knittery is now located next to THE FIGARO CAFE on Vermont Ave it was previously in Atwater. There is a metered parking lot behind the building. I also would call to make sure they are open since there is always some sort of production on this block which can make parking a hair pulling experience.
Took a knitting class there! Owner was extremely jovial and helpful!
Cute store ♥️
