I want to thank Wheel Works for getting me and my family back on the road on Labor Day. We were on our vacation through California and our rental mini van had a screw in the right front tire. They were very professional and got us back on the road and took care of the paperwork with our car rental company. Thank you!!!
Appointment at 11 a.m. its 12:55p.m. and they just started on my car.. the whole time Im, waiting outy, covid 19. I have never waited so long. Mt. View/Sunnyvale location had better service when I came in without an appointment, and they had 3 people ahead of me.
Said that you need to leave the car for 3 hours to change the tire. upset because I am passing through this city, and there are no 3 hours for walking. really, took care, inflated the tire.
Trevor is the man! Trevor is knowledgable, efficient and trustworthy. Definitely your go to guy. I also had a good experience with Kyle, who shared knowledge with me as well. I always appreciate when I can learn a thing or two. A big thank you to them and the rest of the behind the scenes team!
Awesome team. Best best place for tires . So knowledge and well trained staff
Very good shop!
The team that works there is awesome, down to earth, and welcoming. Unlike some places, they dont go overboard on trying to stack up unnecessary costs and expenses. Definitely recommend!
Good work. Even beat Costco sale prices!
Courteous and knowledgeable sales advisor. He was helpful, expedient and provided excellent customer service. Thank goodness they were open on a Sunday during this stressful time!
Great place to visit....ask for Maggie...shes the best
Time and again over the years I have had Kyle here work on my truck and Ive never been disappointed. He has incredible customer service, is fast and I trust the work he does. Id recommend this wheel works to anyone who is patient enough to let good work be done. Quality work shouldnt be rushed.
Much improved and friendly staff, It is a very busy store I always choose to drop my car off less stressful for them much less stress for me.....
I had brand new tires one yr old those 200 $ A PIECE KIND, one had a SMALL nail puncture and i just wanted to have it fixed, he insisted I should buy 4 new tires, so I left.
Paid for tire rotation and balance along with oil change . Oil was still black when picked up vehicle which after calling cooperate office they refunded. The manager did not care about my concerns and was very rude when I tried to talk to him about the service I received from his team. The tires were not rotated on one side of the truck the tech said he did so I showed him a ding in the right front rim which was still on the right front so had to wait another hour for the tire to be rotated. The tires still are not balanced correctly and truck shook going down the road had to have all the work they did redone. The best part of it all was dropped truck off at 9:45 am and they promised to be done before 4:30pm and still were not done until after 5:30pm took all day for oil change and tire rotation.
I was referred to Brian at Wheel Works recently to get the brakes done on my wifes BMW. Service was fantastic from start to finish. Got a great deal on the brakes. Plus, they are open Saturday and Sunday!
A few things lead to this one star review. They are as follows:1) Scummy quote given on phone. I called and was told an oil change would be $30. I showed up and they tried to tell me my Ford Focus needed synthetic oil ($70!). After switching back to regular oil, I was charged separately for the oil filter and labor.2) I made an appointment for 1pm. They ran behind and it took 90 minutes to change my oil.3) The totally forgot to top off fluids! They left my wiper fluid empty and the coolant below minimum level. (I noticed and they then topped everything off)The guys in the shop were not asked by the people up front to complete the work I mentioned. Seems like a big breakdown in communication. These guys are unprofessional, and despite not due to lack of skill, I will not be trusting them with my car again.
Very accommodating. I worked with Trevor. He gave me good price for replacing a damaged tire. I told him I needed the car ASAP to go to work. And the car was ready in 30 mins. Thanks!
Employees were very friendly, and they were able to get me in and out on Christmas Eve! I had an issue with bald tires and chains so they were able to get me set up and ready to go to the Sierras by 4PM. I also took advantage of the unlimited free alignment service that they offered as a Christmas special, definitely worth it with the potholes in these areas!
More than wheels and great customer service:I had transmission issues around 7am on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend. Id been a customer for alignment and tire needs, but would not have thought of them for engine/trans if not the only shop open.Marco was very helpful and the tech (I believe Van) identified the issue instantly - trans fluid pipe rupture. While having to replace my transmission was a very bad scenario, their service was a bright spot.
I started going to this store when I moved to the area 2011 and always had great service, Marco had me in and out quick.Apr 2017 Update: continual great service and tip with most auto repair shops best always leaving your vehicle giving them plenty of time to do the job.
Last Sunday afternoon I drove my car to the car wash and was informed I had a nail in my tire and low air pressure. Worried I would not be able to get this fixed in time for my Monday commute, I started dialing tire stores nearby. The first store I called informed me they were booked for the afternoon and couldnt help me. Then I called Wheel Works and Liam told me they were booked with appointments throughout the afternoon, but if I wanted to bring my car in and leave it for an hour and a half he would make sure it was fixed before they closed. Thats the response I was hoping to hear! When my husband and I arrived at the shop, Liam greeted us in a friendly manner, took a look at the car, and confirmed they would be able to plug the puncture by 5. We ended up sitting in their air conditioned waiting room in a comfortable chair watching the 49ers game until it was fixed. I was impressed by Liams level of customer service as he interacted with other customers. It was clear this is a tire company that made a corporate decision to differentiate by delivering an excellent customer experience. Even their credit card swipe machines had a message about how important customer satisfaction was to them. I found this on their web site, Customer satisfaction is simply not good enough, rather guest enthusiasm must be the goal. Liam and Wheel Works in Los Gatos delivered. I had an outstanding experience and here I am on Saturday morning after the work week is over, still thinking about it. Wheel Works will definitely be the first I call I make next time.
Not sure they do the work requested. Last time I was there they left black grease all over the steering wheel and seats. I had a break and roters done but they were awful. I had both completely redone in less than a year.. somewhere else because I dont trust them. I rarely drive this car so there is no reason the brakes should fail so quickly.
Went in for tires. Was in and out pretty quickly. The service guy pointed out a few things I needed to get done eventually--stuff to do myself or have my mechanic do...offered to give me a quote if I wanted them to do it in the future. It was a no pressure thing--I appreciated that.
Awesome service new manager and the crew is eager to help out.
Great friendly service, honest and with a smile - thank you.
Very helpful. Marco the manager is excellent. They match prices and provide clear communication and expectations
Well, theyre nice......went here specifically for an alignment. Got suckered into paying for other repairs - things that honestly couldve been put off for a while, but whats done is done. It turns out their alignment is totally out of spec after letting a known-quantity GOOD mechanic look at it. Wheel Works offered to make it right, but theyre not touching anything of mine again. For tires or simpleton tasks, theyre probably ok, but Americas Tire is way, way better. For anything else, buyer beware.
My recent experience at Wheel Works in Los Gatos was the worst experience of my life. I had received a quote two days ago for 4 tires with mount/balance, alignment and tax for my Audi Q5. When I arrived for my 2 hour appointment the manager ask me if I wanted alignment. When I told him the quote I received included alignment he told me that was not correct since my appointment was not for sufficient time to do alignment. When I told him I was given a 2 hour appointment and they advertise 55 minutes he became combative. He never once asked me about my price quote. I felt like I was in a bait and switch on pricing and he was using appointment time as an excuse. He continued to increase his anger and told me I could get my tires done elsewhere. My family has taken our other three cars to this wheel works location over past 15 and have always felt they provided great service. I would avoid this wheel works location until there is a change in management. This manager has a lot of anger and does not focus on the customer.
Service has improved quite a bit since our last visit. They are very professional, ON TIME,reasonable prices and theyhave openings...not like in the old days when you had to wait for an appt, etcDefinitely recommend themPaul B
Honest reliable efficient friendly staff. Margaret warrantied my tires today in & out no fuss great service !!
Took care of everything speedily. MUCH cheaper than getting the tire replaced at BMW.
Weve bought tires here and were happy.
Excellent Customer Service . We have been bringing our vehicles here for a while and we are always satisfied and happy with the Service.
Nice staffs. Very reasonable and best behavior. I wont take my car to any other branch anymore....
Friendly no hassle service and free coffee
Dropped in after i found out i had a bad tire took car of me asap. Freindly staff here. Been here before for front end alignments and tire repair. Allways took care of my needs. Appointments here do not really help. Have had them before.
They sheared off the bolt on the tire when we took the car in for an alignment, balance and rotation. They did not admit it, had the nerve to charge us 152.00 and now it is costing us over 300.00 to take it to the dealer in Santa Cruz to get it fixed. I give them no stars, I have been taken by their shop on Prospect, gave them a second chance my mistake. What a terrible company.
I always have a great experience with this company and the employees are so nice and helpful to me.
Typical Wheel Works. They tell you there a 10% discount if theres a delay beyond the promise time, then they make excuses why they couldnt make the promise time. Tires are inexpensive though.
These guys are spot on. This week I needed a new tire fast, they got it in, mounted and balanced the tire all when they said they would. Ive bought a bunch of tires from them and wouldnt go anywhere else.
Worst service EVER! Not only was the customer service horrible the $1300+ job was poorly (at best) done. Ive been loyal to my dealership but when I got a bolt in my tire on the weekend and needed it replaced decided to give these guys my business. I trusted Marco when he said the tires I was buying are the same he has on his wifes vehicle and he recommended an alignment since I was replacing all four. I gave them my truck all day and eventually decided to pick it up the following morning. When I got my vehicle back I immediately noticed the alignment was OFF--not just a little, Im talking pulling HARD! so I turned around and waited for it to be done again.About 1.5 hours later it was ready, or so I thought--driving home it still pulled. The specs on the work order were completely different both times. So, left it alone over night, I couldnt deal with it on Sunday so decided to drive it over on Monday and then the service really showed it UGLY colors! Marco couldnt handle my STERN (with validation after my 3rd visit and being told no tech was available!!! Uh, how do you not have a tech?? Its MONDAY!!??) tone and told me I was being unprofessional uh yes MARCO! IM A MOM! Not in customer service, THATS YOUR JOB!!!! I asked for the district managers info (I worked retail for years I know how this works) and he refused. He also refused to correct the mistake THEY made to my alignment! After calling LGPD he finally gave the dispatcher the contact information I needed! This place is sub-par! Dont bother risking more repairs and more money spent than needed. Learn from me and go to a reputable Auto service shop.
Meet or beat any price. Great service. No games, straight forward and honest....rare in the car business!
My sweater stolen out my boys car
Kyle was so helpful and cooperative while I was there, thank you for hiring great representatives!
I wanted to give them two stars for friendly people, but the prices were too ridiculous for even one extra star. First, they wanted to charge me $1800 for a simple tune-up, presumably because they knew I was desperate and wanted to get home. That is shameful. Second, I declined the work and picked up my car. They charged me $170 for the diagnosis. Most mechanics Ive worked with will read your check engine light and give you a quote for free! I dont mind paying a bit for this service, but $170?? I ended up taking my car to an independent mechanic and getting it fixed (same day) for $200 total. Wheel Works is despicable - do not support this business.
Good service. They actually know what they are doing
Repaired two tires for a very reasonable price.
I ordered tires from Tire Rack and had them shipped here for installation. When I showed up this morning, the manager cheerfully set up my appointment. I came back to pick up my car a little before they were done, so I got to see them finish up by wiping the wheels with glass cleaner and applying Armor-All to the sidewalls of my new tires. Although they mounted the wheels with an air wrench, a technician then walked around with a torque wrench to tighten all of the lug nuts to spec. The manager also took me aside to let me know that they had not been able to disassemble one of my valve stems for rebuilding, which is apparently part of their standard practice. To top it off, even though the tires came from Tire Rack, they still offer free rotation and balancing for the life of the tires. Highly recommended!
Great service. I wish I bought my tires from them. I ordered tires from tirerack, but they apparently have them cheaper
Great service Great location Margret was very helpful got us in and out Thank You!!
Took care of me quick and with honest feedback about how long it would take. No attempt to upsell.
Ive had a fair amount of work done here, 2005 Acura TSX. Tires, brakes, starter. All satisfactory, professional vibe, no b.s. Best prices on tires, check for yourself. -- Randy
They take great care of you great prices
Apparently there is no way to convert mm to inches accurately. Uh, ok. Lol
My pops just finished his simple oil check but when he got home an employee named Brian had forgotten to put the oil cap on so he had to go all the way back for an oil cap 😂. I’m glad he figured it out though.
Terrible work they did on my car. Payed almost $400 for only the front brakes & its been 3 months & now my breaks are right where they started. Thanks wheel works!
Busy place. Nice people.
They have been doing good work for me.
They were very helpful
Always try to sell you more services than you need
Have been purchasing from Wheel Works for years NEVER AGAIN purchased a batter that lasted less then two year. BAD BATTERIES!
Not impressed, they were never able to figure out how to fix the brakes on my Bronco, manager was dishonest about work completed also. Dont bring your vehicle there.
Got needed parts in 1 day, got the job finished on time as promised.
Their service still has a lot of room for improvement.
Tire Rack will ship your order to Wheel Works.
Great customer service
Nice honest people
They service cars. Make an appointment, it will take slightly less time.
Worst Customer Service.
Good Service
Great service
