Bachmann Subaru service is one of the worst run shops in town. They encourage you to not make an appointment and to use their express service but that often takes 1-2 hours for an oil change. So I made an appointment for an oil change and am going on 2 1/2 hours waiting for my car. To be clear, this is with an appointment for the specific task and no issues encountered. Who makes someone wait 2 hours for an oil change???? [update — still here and going on 3 hours for the oil change appointment at 9.30am. Was told the lug nuts were a little too tight so it took a little bit to take the tires off for rotation … are these people serious?]

We took our 2021 Outback Touring XT in for express service and tire rotation. We were greeted by Tony in the service drive who took our information and had a smile on his face the whole time. The service was performed quickly and we were very pleasantly surprised by the cost of the service. The whole process was seamless. When we picked up the car, Kim explained all charges and was able to set up our next appointment to have a door ding removed and address a random audio issue that had happened twice during our ownership. I can’t stress enough just how nice this whole experience was. We will definitely be Bachman Subaru Service customers and there is an excellent chance that our next new vehicle will be another Subaru from Bachman Subaru. Remember, excellent service sells cars… Mark and Bill Reynolds.

Tony and Bill helped us out tremendously as we ran into some scary vehicle problems on the road travelling home from North Carolina to Illinois. We ran into issues on the highway with our dogs in the car on a 90° day. They helped us address our issue quickly and got us on our way in a timely manner, even though they were technically working after hours. We were tremendously grateful. Big thanks.

I purchased a 2016 car from here a few years ago, and regularly serviced my car with bachman but will no longer be returning after almost $1000 worth of stuff was stolen during my last oil change with them and they made almost 0 effort to rectify the situation. Word

Our salesperson Tori was amazing. Everything up to the financing was perfect. Then they somehow managed to stick us with a $25,000 loan for a vehicle that only cost $16,000. I get that tax, title and transfer costs money, but no way should it cost that much. We will be opening a case with the BBB right away. Beware and make sure you scrutinize every piece of paper you sign.

Let’s be honest, everyone dreads buying a car. I dreaded buying my new Subaru, but literally everyone at this dealership is amazing. They are all so kind, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even the service department is top notch. I will never buy a car from anyone but them. I highly recommend them. Best dealership in town hands down. Debbie Wattson and Roy in service are some of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I seriously can’t rave enough about my experience.

I had my car serviced here for its 60K mile checkup. As it’s an intensive one, I wanted a dealership to do it to make sure everything is done right. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I checked the fluids after I picked it up just to be safe. Not only was the washer fluid empty, but so was the coolant which was more frightening. I went back inside and let Tony, the service assistant, know of the issue. He was super helpful the entire time before this and continued to be helpful when I returned. He saw it was an issue and took my car back to the service. After about 15 minutes, he came back and said all the fluids were rechecked and good to go. He said my car had been serviced by a veteran mechanic of 10 years. I really appreciate him double checking, but it makes me concerned for two reasons. Firstly, if he messed up the obvious things then what might have been done incorrectly that I can’t see? Considering the $600 service includes differential and brake work it’s concerning that these things may not have been done correctly while I paid a premium for the peace of mind of having a dealership do it. Secondly, if an experienced mechanic makes these mistakes then what is the quality control procedure like and how relaxed must that be to allow such blatant errors? All in all I guess I’m happy I know I have some more fluids but I am honestly not sure what I paid so much for because it’s not security of mind.

Terrible experience with Debbie. She didnt even call me. Then they offered me 10K on trade in when the NADA books my trade for 17750. Then they didnt budge 1 penny on their car. They were trying to make 8K in profits off of a 8 year old Ford Taurus I was trying to buy. Ridiculous

Even though I had a schedule appointment, upon arrival I was told it would be awhile, they were behind and had someone call off. I asked if they could check out a few issues I was having and was told NO. I would have to schedule that separate. I drove 30 miles for this appt. I was also supposed to get a car wash and then was told because I had a small rack on top of my car, they could not do it because it would ruin their brushes? The customer service this time around was terrible. Not like other visits.Will think twice about bringing my car back here for service.

Just wanted to share my experience that I’ve had over the past month.My car was originally brought in for a small issue that was covered under warranty. It was fixed, and the same check engine light came back the same day I was returned the car. Since bringing back to Bachman, they have went down a rabbit hole of “issues” my car has had, and has now blatantly and very rudely blaming me of “tuning” my car to the point of further repairs. This couldn’t be any further from the truth, and Kim in the service department is the one who has blamed me and spoken to me very rudely. And that is NOT an exaggeration.My car has been with Bachman for over a month. Unfixed. And it is single handedly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company in my entire life.

The service members and managers are all pleasant people. However the express service is not what Id call express. After scheduling an oil change for the morning, I was assured no one was ahead of me, yet the oil change with their express service took 50 minutes.If I knew this, I would have changed my own oil in 15 minutes and not wasted my time at the dealership.Besides the wait, everything is nice here.

My husband and I were in the process of purchasing a car and we were very interested in the Forester. I even had my heart set on one in particular. When we arrived at the dealership, we were introduced to Ryan Cobb. My husband explained to him what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the one I was really interested in was already sold. Dropped my car off for 120,000 mile service. Left with some new buzzing and vibrating noises under the hood. Thought they had broken my splash guard so I replaced it. Buzzing persisted (unchanged) and it turns out the front motor mount was completely loose.Will not return for service here in the future. Went to the dealer expecting perfection and paid for it, didn’t get it. That said, scheduling was easy and their team is very communicative when contacted.

Went Saturday to get oil change. Google says they open at 9am. Upon arrival I noticed sign on garage entry that they were closed indefinitely on Saturdays until further notice. Monday I decided to try after work for an oil change on way home. I called and phones were not working. I then decided to just stop over there and utilize express service. I stood in lobby 10-15 minutes and felt invisible. No hi, no greeting. Two of the three service people were not on the phone so there’s no excuse for no greeting. Finally approached after standing there and there would be 45 min wait. Well add 15 minutes of waiting to the 45 minutes and that is an hour of waiting. Looks like I may be taking my business (out of the way) to Huffman.

Had a very unfortunate experience with Santo Biddix. He treated me and my son as if we were a waste of his time. We had to assume his identity as he never greeted us by name. I extended my hand to him as part of my introduction and he completely ignored my gesture. Come to find out, he was bitter about the fact that I was unable to keep an appointment with him from the previous day due to work obligations. So at our first meeting, his attitude toward us was rude, inappropriate, and downright unprofessional. I know a lot of people in my line of work, and word of mouth and relationships go a long way! We couldve been a great contact for him, but I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Mr. Biddix.

I recently purchased a car from Debbie over at Bachman Subaru and it was a great experience. Normally I avoid car dealerships because of high pressure sales tactics but that is not how Debbie operates. She listened to exactly what I was looking for, helped me weigh the pros and cons, and figured out how to get exactly the car I wanted. She didn’t try to up sell me anything I didn’t need. In fact, it was over 6 months from when I first visited to when I finally decided to go with a Subaru. Over that time, she periodically checked in to see what I was thinking but generally left it up to me to drive the process. It was a very different (and much more positive) experience compared to most car sales people. I would highly recommend heading over to see her if you are in the market for a Subaru!

BEWARE: They want to charge me for damage to my vehicle that occurred while they had it in the shop to a tune of $1245!I was in a wreck in a new 2020 Subaru Outback. I took the vehicle to Bachman Collision Center to be serviced/fixed.They had the vehicle for over 3 weeks before I received it. Within a full day of having the vehicle back all of the check engine lights came on and all of the tech stopped working. I called Bachman and took the vehicle back up there. They reset the computer system and said it was working. Again another day later the same thing happened.I took the vehicle back and they took it to their Subaru shop. They told me the fuel casing was cracked and would be covered under warranty.After a week of waiting for the parts they take the fuel tank out and let me know that the main gas line was was chewed through by a critter. And it would cost me $1250 to get this fixed as its not under warranty.I explained that prior to the wreck and Bachman having my vehicle I never had an issue. After they had my vehicle for over 3 weeks doing repairs I get it back and now this damage has appeared.Robin of Bachman Subaru talked to the Manager (didnt specify name) at Bachman Collision Center. He told me, and I quote I have spoken with manager at the collision center and he stated that they are not responsible for animal damage even if it occurs on their lot. He recommended that you go through insurance.So essentially, since my vehicle was damaged during their repairs they are not responsible and he suggest I make an insurance claim to get the damage that happened in their possession fixed.This is easily the most abhorrent experience I have ever had in my life as a consumer.Legitimately one of the most crooked business I have ever dealt with.

I cannot recommend this dealership enough! I worked with Bob, who was so nice, patient, and helpful. He went above and beyond to help me find the car of my dreams. Everyone at the dealership was excellent about communicating with me in a timely, and professional manner. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured, which was a huge plus for me, seeing as I went by myself and have bad experiences with pushy salesmen at other dealerships. Told him what I need and he selected the Outback and directed me to Subaru Specialist, Bill Rosenbarger. Excellent car buying experience, and I am all around impressed by bachman and particularly my sales staff, Nancy.First, I negotiated down on a vehicle, turns out it was out of stock. I could have waited for it to be delivered, but instead I got the premium version with even more off. I did this all via text before even getting to the dealership.Second, I told them I needed a certain amount on my trade in for the down payment. My trade wasnt worth that much, but they got me an offer for 1000 more than any other dealership in town.Third, I told the sales staff I was in a hurry (I know how dealerships go, they keep you there for 6 hours to exhaust you and feel like youve invested too much time to walk away from the deal), and they expedited the process. Like really expedited it. I was never sitting around waiting. The finance fellow (Brian I think, big beard very friendly) sped read through all of the warranties, and did a good pitch in record time (I opted for no extended warranty and he didnt push it). I was in and out in 3 hours, most of that being the test drive and credit check.Overall I would highly advise using bachman for anything. They were great about communicating and not being too pushy on anything. They didnt spam me with calls, didnt send template emails, and didnt push me to get anything I didnt want. I got a great price on a great car (Subaru Forester). And Nancy was extremely knowledgeable about the car, she knew all the features, all the specs, and had really done her research on some of my biggest concerns, like the CVT, the AWD, and the seeming lack of hp (it drives great and peppy, especially for a 2.5L on an SUV).I used their website and did the truecar estimate for my trade and they called me one time to discuss their inventory.

Debbie and the staff went well beyond expectations to help me find a vehicle within my price range.I, like so many others have been adversely effected during this COVID 19 crisis. As a result, I have been laid off from my teaching position at a local university. To add to my difficulties, my car was stolen and I desperately needed transportation. In addition I recently purchased a home and have been at my new residence for less than a year.This perfect storm of events meant that finance companies would not approve my purchase even though I had a substantial down payment, a good credit rating, own a home, and had been in my university position for ten years and should be called back in September.Financial institutions, bailed out by the taxpayers in 2008, advertise their hype about being here for us, are not there when we need them most.Despite these setbacks, Debbie and her team were in constant communication with me for three days as time and again my financing was denied.Debbie was undaunted. She empathized, understood my situation and continued to search her store inventory and came up with my 2008 Subaru Outback. I would not recommend buying a used car here.In the same month of purchasing a used car from BachmanI had to deal with a broken serpentine belt, a giant coolant leak with multiple hoses, and the car stalling out.I also had to get new rotors and breaks, a new cabin air filter, and all of the fluids had to be topped off.I would have thought the service department would have checked all of these things over more carefully.The car was not safe to sell.I am not upset because I bought it as isI am just disappointed with Bachman Subaru

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Bachman Subaru and Ryan Cobb in particular!! We started the process of looking for a Subaru right as everything was shutting down. Not exactly the best time to start looking for a car. Even with all of the changes in how businesses were being run, Ryan was always there to answer all of my questions and there were many!! We walked away today with an amazing 2019 Certified Pre-Owned Subaru Forester Sport and I absolutely love it!! The warranty is amazing and the car itself is pretty special. Worst experience ever trying to buy a car. I would give no stars, but I can’t. The sales representative that they put me with mustn’t have wanted to sell me one. Her name is Debra Watson. So I couldn’t finance the one I wanted. She never tried once to negotiate even after telling her I have a significant amount to put down or buy with. Basically, all aspects of this purchase have been handled in a very good way--when there were issues the sales person worked with me and her manager to resolve!! She was even generous enough to pick me up and take me to the dealership. I needed an expedited experience at the dealer for the purchase and all was arranged and managed nicely.But most of all, when there were problems, the staff---including the financial manager worked with me to find a good solution and all in favor of the customer.

I bought my used Subaru through another Subaru dealership and had a great experience, however, dealing with the service department was a different story. I’ve been having oil consumption issues since I bought it and it turned out to be a common issue for the year my Subaru was made. Anyways, it came down to an oil consumption test to prove the issue was happening in order to have my part replaced.After 2-4 oil consumption tests with the other dealership, they kept saying we passed the test and there was no issue. Obviously, that wasn’t the case as you can tell by the amount of oil consumption tests we went through. They said we have to drive the vehicle 1,200 miles and then they’ll test it then, however, we were having this issue at 3,000 mile mark. Finally frustrated with this dealership, we decided to try Bachman and it’s been a world of a difference.They were completely understanding about our situation, sympathetic to our frustrations, and even went above and beyond to provide information about the oil consumption test that the other dealer failed to inform us about (like there’s a certain equation they have to figure out how much oil there should be, no matter how many miles were driven— I hope that made sense as I’m a woman and my knowledge of cars is decent but not advanced in anyway!).They told us to bring the car in immediately when the oil light comes on, instead of the 1,200 miles we’ve been told numerous times and with only ONE oil consumption test performed we have a resolution! They’ve been very thorough with everything as this is a complicated problem, bought the part (which arrived really quickly) and now have an appointment set up to finish the task at hand. And they are giving me a loaner car. Needless to say, my husband and I extremely please with how this dealership and service department have treated us and I truly do think they have the customers’ concerns in their best interests.

I had a wonderful experience at Bachman Subaru. To get the car I wanted I had to drive 2+ hrs to Louisville to get it. I called the dealership about thirty minutes before I arrived and when I got there they had washed it and got it ready to go and we hadn’t even talked price yet lol. My salesman Ashton seemed new to sales but made me and my wife very comfortable with the whole process and was very easy to deal with. All in all I can’t say anything bad about my experience.

Their job was to let us know what features different models had and let the car sell itself. If you hate high pressure car sales people and the long process of paperwork this is the place for you. My salesman, Bob Shewalter, was knowledgeable and never pushy. The finance guy was quick and to the point but there are a lot of extended warranties available. The explanations will allow you to tailor the extended warranty to what you feel you need. No pressure here either. I’d give Bob and the dealership 10 stars if that was on option! And to top it off I absolutely love my Subaru Ascent.

Friendly and most importantly not pushy sales team. I talked with a few members and everyone was very nice and helpful. The vehicle we wanted was not in yet and they kept me informed of expected arrival. The vehicle arrived as expected and was waiting for us that evening.
