Me and my wife happen to stop by and grab some donut from here. Its a small shack with a unique angle entrance. It was our first time here and we was greeted with a free donut. We ended picking up another 1/2 dozen selections of donut to take home. The donuts are fresh and delicious 😋. The staff there are friendly.

This place is awesome. My other favorite donuts are Market Baskets glazed. I like a classic donut (no bacon or 17 different toppings) and this is classic at its best. Excellent pillow soft brioche dough with nice yeasty flavor. The chocolate cake were also yum. Not a fan of the frosting inside the filled ones but the classic glazed are the best. Lovely people, great place.

Nice little place. I love the fact that they donate day old donuts (that are still great) to the local shelter. NO WASTE THERE! Since it was my first time there, I got a free coffee roll. (Every newbie does) love that. Staff is very patient and friendly.

Nice little place with a great variety of donuts. It was my first time there to meet a friend for coffee and they had no ice for iced coffee on a 90 degree day. The glazed donut tasted like it was cooked in old oil but the others were good. They had 2 tables and each had only 1 chair so she and I couldnt have our coffee date to catch up. The other table was being occupied by a friend of one of the workers workers who was just sitting and talking to her. Youd think when its nice out that they would at least have tables and chairs outside for you to sit at. Was definitely disappointed

The absolute best donuts in town. You cant go back to Dunks after this, ever. The donuts are huge but light and delicious. You can eat 4 at once and not feel sick or full, unlike generic factory made garbage. Its a tiny store (a shack) so you may miss it.

No, you get the most authentic and delicious classic doughnuts that are made fresh on premise every day! Go ahead, get a dozen. It’ll weigh more than a few pounds. Go to dunks and get a dozen-it might weigh a pound because they are just air!

Good location and great prices. $8.50 for a dozen and $1 for singles. I was excited to try the marshmallow filled but it really just tasted more like dunks frosting than marshmallow. The honey dipped were the best of the bunch with the lemon filled in second place. I like the no-no-nonsense feel and lack of eccentric flavors that cost a small fortune that other donut shops have.

Yummy yeast donuts are here. Be careful because your pants will no longer need a belt if you go here haha. There are some really kind people who work here and customers just as well. The first time I went I didnt know it was *CASH ONLY* a couple paid for my donuts 😭 Definitely a nice treat. Im not sure what the hours were before the pandemic, but thats the only thing I wish, is that it was opened longer.

For the first time I was able to get my favorite marshmallow donuts,I bought 6 and drove to the Honey dew my brothers Always go.I never eat honey dew donuts because I find them on the dry and made yesterday. Just learned about this hidden gem yesterday and decided to give it a try this morning. First, they are friendly and welcoming here. Second, I didn’t have to wait to be attended. Holy cow, this place is a diamond in the rough!! Firstly, you CANNOT beat the price. For what you pay you would expect a mediocre product at best. That is not what you get. Its not that I disliked the place, it just wasnt special. The coffee was ho-hum and my old fashioned plain doughnut was over fried in my opinion. There were quite a few customers who seemed like loyal customers from way back, but I couldnt see it.

The Donut Shack is a small place with great service and great donuts. Not low in calories, but high in taste. The vanilla and lemon cream filled are the best. I brought a dozen into work today and they disappeared quickly. Glad I found this little place on my drive to work.

This place is a great little Hidden Gem. The first time we went here, the owner was here and there were only a couple donuts left. But he said he would make us whatever kind of donut we wanted. He even listed off some crazy ideas like jelly filled chocolate donuts. He had a great sense of humor. We havent seen him since that first time, but the donuts have always been excellent, and its unbelievably cheap! Definitely a great place to check out if youve never been there.

This is the best home made doughnuts in the area. Their are freshly made, cash only, and they close when they are sold out. They absolutely the best and worth getting up at 5a to eat get them. Great place for donuts!! When they say shack they mean it. It is a little hole in the wall, not very big inside only 2 small tables. But they have a variety of donuts, both the cake and dough kinds. They also have some morning beverages in a mini fridge. It is pretty inexpensive. We got 4 donuts and 2 orange juices for roughly $7. There is only street parking.

This is a hidden gem of not only Lowell, but in all of MA. Ive tried Kanes and Blackbird donuts working in downtown Boston but they have nothing on Donut Shack. Just how good are they you ask? I picked up a few dozen for my office and it turned into a weekly thing with everyone pitching in until I moved from Lowell (4 months). This is one of the only things I miss about Lowell.

Ordered donuts but they only take cash, I had none said I would come back they said no problem, ... you can pay us next time when you come in. I could not believe it. Amazing I was overcome, big tip next day when I paid. Donuts are awesome ... like old school when donuts were donuts. They sell a donuts donut!

Great donut shop, the old fashion coconut is delicious. They didnt have any coconut donuts in the racks when I got there, but they were more than happy to dash back to the kitchen to make me a couple while we waited. Prices are very reasonable. Thanks, Donut Shack!

I would give this place six stars if there was an option. its so sad that an amazing place like this with quality donuts is one of the rare unicorns in the donut world filled with the monopolized dunkin donuts. I wish there are more places like this or the dunkin donuts with somehow regulated by the state to allow places like this to be more successful.

This place is a hidden gem in Lowell! Their homemade donuts put Dunkins to shame and the people are always so friendly there! The only downsides are that you have to get there early for a good amount to select from, the place accepts cash only, and the small location does not have a lot of seating, but the quality of the pastries are so good, Im usually pretty happy with anything I get to go. I always try to come here in the mornings for breakfast when I can!

Tiny place, hardly ever open, and the sub-par Donuts and store-bought coffee was certainly not near the hype of catching the thin hours that theyre open. Not anywhere near the quality of locals businesses like Donnas Donuts or even the conservative-leaning Top Donuts down the street. For this experience, I could go across the street to the convenient store, buy a dozen Hostess Donuts, and make bland coffee at home. My first and only trip here, I bought a half dozen Donuts, threw out 3 of them. Have to get there by 7am for the good Donuts? Screw that, make the trip to Union Square Donuts in Somerville and get the best of all time any time during the day.

The donuts were fantastic, not the best, but fantastic. Parallel street parking only. Very small shop, only a couple tables. In a residential neighborhood, very low key.
