Hands down the best donuts in town. They only get a 2 star rating because they are crooks. Well the Rise and Shine on 50th is, can’t speak for other locations. I know what the sales tax in Texas is and they double the sales tax on each item sold. For the longest time I just thought well it’s an old menu board and prices have changed, well that’s not the case anymore. They just had the menu/price board replaced. Apple fritter should be $1.70+tax which is $1.84. I asked for a receipt for my 1.84 transaction and got one showing 1.84 but they charged me 1.98. When you ask them about the unusually high tax they all of a sudden don’t speak English, but they can still utter the words 1.98.

The donuts were good. It took about 3 tries before I almost had the right order of donuts. I finally gave up and accepted whatever was in the box. They were eaten so I guess it ended up being just fine.

The food is AMAZING but the drive thru lady always yells at us and overcharges us. There was a miscommunication about our order and she yelled at us until we apologized instead of fixing the issue. Great food, terrible service.

Just got donuts this morning for a work party. They were still warm and everyone loved as always. Best donuts in town. Order glazed, chocolate and mixed whatever they want to put in. Those are always the first to go.

Went by here this morning...While I understand that we have a pandemic going on, that is no excuse for selling OLD Kolaches...these were AT LEAST a day old if not longer. $15 for OLD KOLACHES...Anyone can tell when the bread is old it is hard..The meat was dark...didnt see this until I got to my office. Cannot take back, as I am the only one here. Called, said it wasnt old, I said they werent made today, and she said, you bring back. Advised, cannot, as I am the only one that was here, and she kept saying bring back so we can see. I KNOW old Kolaches....just sayin..watch out...

Always friendly and quick. The donuts are fantastic as well as the Kolaches! I think anyone leaving a bad review is just being grumpy from just waking up. Ive never had a bad experience here. And i live right behind it. So i go alot.

I go to the rise and shine on university almost everyday. They are fantastic. Today it was out of my way to go to that one so i visited this one instead thinking they would be same. I was for sure mistaken. My burrito was small and not wrapped good enough. I asked for chocolate glazed donuts. Instead of telling me they were out, they coated regular glazes donuts in chocolate. They were to sweet and a huge freaking mess. Even my kids (who love the other donuts) wouldnt eat them. So in turn i had to spend extra money because basically the donuts i bought arent edible. Dont waste your time here and go to the one on university. I learned my lesson.

We have come here a couple times and the lady that serves us through the drive through is always really rude. We will not be coming back here.

Death in Family 😢💔 Sue has lost her wonderful husband to a massive stroke this month. Their little family has this business, and they run it, with smiles, laughs, and the best, and biggest cinnamon twists and bear claws in Lubbock. Their little bags of Donuts holes are always fresh with just the right amount of sweet. My husband and I Have been going there for years, and this morning was different than other visits,, Sue is strong, and will be ok, but in these difficult times, She is just doing her best everyday. The lady that works the drive up window is SO RUDE. Last time I was there, my son said Ill take six donut holes. BTW, normally I would say a half dozen, but I just repeated what he said. The lady then repeatedly told me, Next time you dont say six, you say half dozen. So thank you for telling me what I can and can not say. OK, so today I clearly order 3 REGULAR kolachis. And I know I ordered regular, because I ALWAYS order regular. Well, she gave me 3 jumbo. When I asked her about it, she said theres two sizes, jumbo and regular. I said yes, I ordered regular. Again, she says theres jumbo and regular. She doesnt offer to switch them out. Basically, shes like youre keeping the 3 jumbo I gave you. The location on Quaker, off 82nd is by far better. Love that location. Theyre super fast and friendly.

Not the best donut place around, but its ok in a hurry. Downside would be the rude worker that works in the morning. You cant ask her what kind of doughnuts they have or shell look at you like youre an idiot.

They have an excellent location: right off of the Interstate, but they close at noon. What a waste. I left and went to Krispy Kreme.

Clerk could not get our order right. The radio ads advertised apple and cherry turnovers, however the clerk never heard of them.

Never been to a place where you walk in ask for a coffee and been told No. Then was charged over 8 bucks for two donuts and two waters.Avoid this place.
