Place is very clean, people very nice. Went early 6am everything was fresh and organized. The taste was fresh. I still prefer a local favorite over this place. I will say they have cream filling aswell as Bavarian which is cool and tasty. They stay open until 6, so while my favorite place closes when they run out. This will be the next best thing.

Went thru the drive thru …1st time visiting this place on 19th St… ordered donut holes … my favorite … a man standing there talking … looked to be the boss … dressed differently than the workers … the lady told him “donut holes” … he said “is that it”? Then he threw the bag to another worker that was standing about 4-5 ft away … I was shocked to say the least … the girl was sweet but you could tell she was new … the whole business is new … my donut holes were not fresh … appeared to have been left over from yesterday … the glaze was crackly … I’ll give them one more chance and then if it’s not better … I’ll be back to Rise and Shine … hard to beat them anyway …

Shipley is my favorite donut place. They have a mix of wheat and potato flour in their recipe and it makes the donuts just melt in your mouth. The icing isnt as thick at dunkin and I enjoy Shipley better for that reason. The icing is the correct ratio and is a little flaky which is gloriously messy. (If you ever try to sneak a donut beware because evidence will be there, but it is oh so worth it for this sweet treat.) For those who enjoy savory treats their regular and jalapeño kolaches are fantastic as well. My kids and husband enjoy the specialty donuts. They usually get the devils food, long john, apple fritter, and bear claw. Im a purist and love their warm Glazed donuts. Shipley is a must try for everyone.

The donuts here are very odd tasting compared to a few places in town. I ordered a Bavarian creme along with a dozen more & it has a spoilt taste in it. As if it was made very early in the morning but was served the next day. The glazed on it was absent but did not lack sweetness. It just taste very odd, I always go to shipleys back in Central TX because it was down the st from my house…. But the donuts in this one just had a different taste & it was quite nasty.

Bought a dozen donuts, and two special chocolate cream filled bars. Tried two of six types I bought so far. But the first thing that really grabs my full attention about the whole of it is...The chocolate sprinkle!! Let me count the many ways I disliked it. First...this is my first trip to Shipley, as this one store just recently opened here in Lubbock, Texas. And I will most definitely not be back there, EVER!! The Chocolate sprinkle...wow...so wrong!!! Firstly, I believe that a donut such as the chocolate sprinkle should have the glaze on it, same as a plain glazed donut, and as Krispy kreme does, for example on theyre chocolate sprinkled ones. What...are you trying to cut calories by not having glaze on them, so thus saving Im guessing 20 calories on a 500 calorie item?? Might as well serve it raw to me as to be like that...Really? If I am going to eat 500 calories already anyway, do you think I am worried about the taste killing extra 20 calories for a wonderful glazing??? Please!!! Or are you just going cheaply with this horrible idea? What ever it is is a game changer for me, especially after seeing the strawberry iced and another similar iced in my box was to my displeasure all the more, also without glazing too...wow...what a let down!! That sure killed my desire to ever think of Shipley being a good donut place, as even the worst place in town is better than this. And more on the chocolate sprinkled...it was so bad in the chocolate flavor too. It was totally way too chocolate, and the only comparison I could think of is to imagine a Hershey Dark Chocolate, with a dead fish smell, and made even way more dark chocolate, and without any sugar or sweet to it. Even the sprinkles seemed to taste faked and very cheap. And then the dough. It was like an old expired can of the cheapest biscuit dough without any flavor at all, but stale and very heavy compared to say, a wonderfully light and fresh yummy chocolate sprinkled and glazed perfectly, and then iced with delightful light chocolate buttercream, with fresh sprinkles, like as is how a krispy Kreme is... so delightfully much better in every possible way!!! Sorry but I wont be attending a Shipley ever again, and feel cheated by having to toss them all in the garbage, as what they are!! And, if I am going to go with something sweet to eat, than I am going for full flavor and richest quality, regardless of how many calories, and not in need of really bad ways of saving 1% of calories and making something sweet on same level as a can of sardines, and horrible as something sweet. Sorry but you have failed completely in all that should be good and not shortcut upon, for donuts.

Love Shipleys! Glad to see them expanding to Lubbock! Try the jalepeno sausage and cheese Kolache. And they have the best glazed yeast donut anywhere.

The best donuts to get in town, i will not go anywhere else to get donuts. They have such a wide variety of donuts, and they’re all super duper sweet and friendly. The name of this place is absolutely adorable. The atmosphere is light and fun, very very sweet people.

Diana had served us and she was so sweet and kind! best costumer service i have ever seen, she deserves a raise! and the dounts are amazing!!

So many choices! Everything you could ever want relating to fried dough with sweet stuff on top. Plus energy drinks. Coffee, chocolate milk, orange juice, sodas and more. There are so many choices it was very hard to pick. Have to go back to try more.

Went here randomly this morning and definitely dont regret it! They were friendly, donuts were fresh and delicious and prices were good too! Way better than Dunkin down the street. For sure will visit this place more often.

We tried Shipley Donuts for our first time today and ordered Shipleys bold sausage and cheese kolaches, ham and cheese kolaches, and chocolate iced donuts. The kolaches breading were soft and fluffy. The donuts were served warm and tasted delicious. I will definitely be back to try different donuts.

Really good donuts. Made fresh, and I witnessed them rotate out the display while I was there about mid lunch time with fresh made ones... So thats impressive. Most places would let the days stock sit until it sells or until end of day. But it looks like they rotate out midday, and Im alright with that. Damn tasty.

I guess I was expecting more. They are just donuts just like almost all other donut shops in town. Not bad, but nothing special either.

The best donut chain ever! I have been waiting so long for Shipley to open a location in Lubbock and it was well worth the wait! Everything there tastes great and the staff is always very friendly and the lines move quick on the inside and in the drive through. I would recommend donut holes and jalapeño kolache

Love the chocolate filled donut. Donuts size seems to be bigger. The chocolate glazed donut has way to much glaze on it. And the coffee isnt always freshly brewed. But its better then the donut place across.

Absolutely love Shipley Do-Nuts! I’m so glad they brought one to Lubbock, went this morning and waited for the cinnamon rolls and it was well worth the wait. I also bought an assortment and my family loved all that i brought home. The employees are very nice and the lady who runs the store Leeca was so hospitable, and pleasant.

Customer service was great. By far not the best donuts in town. Go to Donut Stop for better tasting donuts.

To be honest, being from Houston I was skeptical about a Shipley’s location this far north but I can say they definitely did not disappoint. I got my girlfriend to try it for the first and she loves it. We go there for breakfast whenever I come into town.

I had the worst experience here. The Manager was just flat out rude. She talked to me as if she didn’t want to be there. The tone in her voice was like she just didn’t care. She kept rolling her eyes at everyone that walked in the door. An the way she talked to her employees...was flat out horrible... I would not work here personally. I will not return. I will continue my business at rise n shine. Good luck.Also while I was in there I saw several boxes be reused that had icing on the inside, an bags that were used after being on the floor... that is just disgusting!!

I love donuts! I love good donuts!.. Shipley Donuts of Lubbock has great donuts and kolaches from morning to evening! I highly recommend this location for donut. There are many great donuts joints in Lubbock and this Shipley is exceptional as well. Probably the best Kolache in town for sure, generous on the cheese and jalapeno.

BEST DONUTS EVER!!! Always stop in for a cream filled and a chocolate filled donut! Its about time that they opened a Shipleys in West Texas! Gladly drive the 1.5 hrs for these donuts!!

What I find amazing within a mile and a half there is 4 donut places. within three miles there and theres 7 donut places within 10 mile area. I did not see anything great about this place cuz it tastes like a donut nothing different from Dunkin Donuts or mom and pop place.
