Went shopping for a Tech ring and Ill admit their selection appeared nice. I was about to go through with the purchase of the traditional mens when it got brought up that no gold stamp is placed on their 10k ring. Rosalie gave some odd response to why they dont stamp their gold, went on a tangent about how theyve been in business for 30yrs and from that point forward, this vendor lost all credibility. It made me hesitant to purchase anything from the store. Luckily my mother has a history of working in jewelry and thought to ask this question.Between that and Rosalies somewhat arrogant demeanor, we decided to take our business elsewhere. I ended up going through the University, where Balfour manufactures the ring. Theyve been around for at least 60yrs, are more afforadable, actually stamp their gold (like any reputable jeweler would), and also take a percentage of their profitable gains back into first generation student scholarships. All in all, I give them 2/5 stars because their product looks good but with no way to verify their gold and the attitude from the jeweler, I unfortunately cant give this shop a higher rating.Joseph

Bought an engagement ring a couple months ago for close to $1000, 10k gold. This ring broke moments ago releasing the stone which is now nowhere to be found as my Fiance and I did not witness it.The product and service seemed quite good to start but as of this recent disappointment, I seriously regret spending my money with Varsity Jewelers.Dont give them your business.

Terrible customer service. Very in your face and didn’t listen to what I was asking for. I went in wanting more of a dainty class ring and they had a lot of options but when I picked one out she said “no one wears that ring” and “you’re going to come back and want a bigger ring in a month”. It was clear she was trying to up sell even though I knew what I wanted. The rings are pretty but I almost didn’t buy from there just because of the way she treated me as a customer.
