---------------OWNER IS A SCAMMER ----------I have always use Yelp to help get an idea of a business however I never created an account or left any reviews until now. I feel like this is important because this is beyond bad service its down right malicious and predatorary. After I discovered that I am not the only one who has experienced this and I must take it upon myself to expose this scammer. I will provide documentation and evidence to legitimize this review.I just wanted to start off that I have never met the owner Steve or went to his store physically so I cannot comment on any purchases inside the store however I can share my experiences and the obstacles I encountered when I visited Card Shacks Online Ebay store which is part of Card Shack and its WEBSITE . I contacted Steve and spoke to him in regards about a particular box and after happily answering my questions I decided to purchase it through Steves eBay store. The sealed box is a 1996 ultra fleer basketball hobby box for the amount of 2,7XX.00 From Card shack online EBAY store. Inside this brand new sealed box contained 24 packs and upon opening the first pack i encountered a cards that were fused / stuck together and after the 2nd and 3rd pack with the same outcome I decided to take video documentation of the conditions and proceeded continue to record myself opening other new packs with the same outcome. This was not just one or two pack more than half the box of packs of cards had the same issue. A defective product from the manufacturer or improper storage throughout the years I can only assume.I went ahead and contacted Steve and provided pictures in regards to the cards I purchased from him but did not get any response from Steve. I found it strange that there was no problems of communication before the purchase and after reaching out multiple times I was given a silence response. I went ahead and contacted eBay customer service and provided the videos and pictures and after the representative examine my documents my refund was approved . I came back on the next day only to find out that my account is now suspended and the refund has been over turned. Not only did Steve ignore my contact he made a complaint to eBay so that my account would be suspended which Steven will not have to provided a refund so he can keep the money. Iam not the only one he did this two. The eBay representative stated that there was a complaint from the seller and that I violated eBays policy .I have never encountered such malicious coward con artist like individual before. On aug 7th I went to a Bay Area sport cards convention for that particular product the dealer told me that eBay would be my best chance finding that product, which I shared my horrible experience. Thats when another individual across from me Told me about his similar receiving experienceed. after a little bit of investigation and looking through our historys I was baffled to find not only did both of us purchase the same product but it was also from the same seller on EBAY which is owned by Steve. This individual purchased the same product from the same seller and upon opening this new product it was the same defective conditions. He was not able to get a hold of Steve and was also banned from eBay after requesting a refund. I have gotten his permission to share not only my experiences but his similar experience as well. I will provide proof for both of us. STEVE perhaps You provide good experiences when people are at your store however Your CHEAT CON SCAMMING online predator. I will upload documentation for BOTH of our receipts and pictures and video of our documentation. Including both of us being banned from eBay simply for asking for a refund. Funny how that works iam glad I ran into another individual with the same experience. This guy Steve to this very day is still selling the same defective box. I will provide link below toIMGUR file. Card Shack is a great local hobby store. I encourage anyone in the area to check it out. However, the policy of not giving pricing over the phone is just plain sketchy. Called for pricing on an item and was told by an individual they do not give any prices over the phone. Seems they are hiding something and just not a good way to conduct business. I am sure if I showed up a price would have been marked so not giving a price over the phone just isnt right. Good store but I wont be giving them any business if that is how they will conduct themselves.

Stopped by a while back to sell my Pokémon/Sports Card collection. I was told I needed to speak with Steve, wow was I impressed this kid really knew his stuff and was straight up with me. There must’ve been 3 or 4 different people looking to sell stuff at the same time and he didn’t rush and made me a very fair offer. Definitely would recommend this shop if your looking to get rid of your collection like I was. Make sure you ask for Steve 😂

The Card Shack is just an awesome place to go. The owner Steve is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and he does the right thing. His integrity and honesty is something that has kept him in business in the same community for so long. His staff is extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They have a wide range of singles and sets and the best hobby boxes. He’s got everything a card collector could want or need. I try to go once a week even if I just need top loaders or penny sleeves Steve’s got you covered. I highly recommend you try this place, you won’t leave disappointed!

Called for an item, was told they had them, and were holding them for me, only to arrive and, told they didnt have them in and never did,they were mistaken. Ive given this store many tries, items are overpriced. There are better places throughout Nassau County.

Very disappointed With my visit to the store. I would never let my child or family member or friend deal with this store ever again. They try to rip people off and I feel sorry for kids that trust the owner as even with me as a Semi savvy Collector he tried to take full advantage of our dealHe tried to offer $300 store credit for about $1200 worth of cards that are currently selling for that on eBay. This industry is not good for kids because of grown men like this. That will take advantage and not nurture the culture... NEVER TRUST THIS STORE OR THE OWNER !!!!

The Card Shack has the greatest customer service, the best prices, and a huge inventory. The best selection for all sports gifts. They were also able to get me an item they were sold out of, very quickly for a gifted need. I highly recommend them for all you sports fans and collectors!

I have been collecting sports cards from the time I was 5 years old and Card Shack has always been the place where i went to. Throughout the years the customer service I received has been outstanding and the selection of products is top of the line. The staff is very helpful when trying to help collectors complete their sets or find cards that they may want. They have a huge inventory of single cards from all the major sports. The Hobby box selection is always being updated and i seem to get a great hit out of every box that i purchase. Overall if you are a sports card collector i would recommend Card Shack as the place to go for top of the line customer service and products.

One of the best card stores in the country. Theres a reason why this store have been in business over 25 years. Knowledgeable on vintage cards, memorabilia & autographs. Has a large volume of singles all computer logged for fast finding. Great people to deal with, with long hours. A must hobby place to visit!!!

Cheesey!! If your not knowledgeable.You will get ripped off by owner on selling! Gives same cheesey lines of; i have to frame it,packave it, im not going to maje any money.Reality he will send it to be graded and sell to some at double! Tried to chisel 2,000 - 2,500 in value for 850.00!! LoL

This is the only card store I have ever been to and probably the only one I ever will go to. They have such a large collection of sports and gaming cards, and they can even order in the hobby box you are looking for. This is definitely a place that you should visit if you are into sports or gaming cards.
