Great experience doing business with the team at PMC. Dave in sales, Cheryl and Jason in Service Dept. They all went and continue to go above and beyond. Bought the boat out of state and had it transported to AZ. After taking the boat out there was a few quirks that Jason squared away in a phone call with me and my local boat service center.
I can not even tell you how pleased I am with Pacific Marine Center. I stopped by a few weeks ago as I have been in the market for a boat for several months (Sold both my boats last Fall), the market is tough right now. At the time they had nothing for me so Jason (Sales) took my name and said he would call me should something come up. Much to my surprise, less than 24 hours later Jason called and informed me there was a 20 SeaRay that he thought would meet my needs. Needless to say, I headed right that way. He was right, it was exactly what I was looking for. I gave them a deposit as it was not ready to pick up, fast forward the week of the 4th of July. I was really hoping to pick the boat up prior to the holiday weekend for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, they were waiting on a new fender for the trailer. I ended up speaking to Jason in Service on Tuesday evening, checking to see if they could get me on the water for the Holiday. Jason said he would call me in the morning and see what he can do. 5 Minutes later on Tuesday, after closing time, he called and said he figured it out, and that I could pick up the boat the following day. I can not say enough about Jason (sales) and Jason (service). These guys hooked me up and truly went above and beyond. Professional, courteous and did exactly what they said they would do and more. Now about the boat, Used boat, new to me. When I went to pick it up it looked excellent. Detailed and ready for the water. We actually went right from their place to Millerton. The boat started right up, ran like a dream and is truly more boat then I ever expected. Once again,, my family is thrilled and I am beyond pleased with Pacific Marine Center. Great people and I now have a GREAT Boat!!!!! Thank you!!!
Very rude staff and the owner was worse. We were in California on vacation and my cooling system sucked up some trash and I needed to replace the raw water pump impeller on my Volvo engine. The owner tried to tell me that the raw water pump was not field serviceable and that I needed to replace the whole pump which he was willing to sell me for $486.92 the owner actually told me that I was stupid and had no idea what I was talking about. So I went to another Volvo marine dealer and got a $22.00 impeller and a $3.00 gasket and repaired it. It took a whole 20 minutes to repair it. They wanted $486.92 for there pump and tried to say it would take 7. 5 hours labor to replace it at $160.00 a hour for labor.
I highly(!) recommend Pacific Marine Center for all your boating needs. 5++++. I recently purchased a new boat from Pacific Marine and they could not have been nicer, more efficient, and courteous. Unfortunately, a huge issue happened with the boat motor once on the water (a manufacturing issue, not Pacific Marines fault). I called down to Pacific Marine and once the boat arrived they efficiently made all the necessary repairs, fully re-detailed the boat, and I was on my way in no time. They did all they could to turn what was a very difficult situation into something very satisfactory. Thanks a million Jack, Jason, and Dave. I wanted to give you guys a 10 but the numbers didnt go high enough.
I want to start off by thanking the salesman Jason and the owner Jack. They were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the process. I live 3 hours away so there was a lot of communication with text and phone calls to get all the details on the boat I wanted. I know this has been a very busy month for boat sales everywhere, but they took the time and effort to help me out. When I arrived to get the boat the process was quick and easy. They had the paperwork ready to go and helped me find all the gear I needed to go on the lake legally. I will definitely return for my boat needs and I will be referring people here. Thanks again!
Worked with Jason. He was very helpful, attentive and answered all questions. He negotiated a killer deal on my final offer with the owner. Held my boat for a few weeks until extra parts arrived and he saw that they were installed. Would highly recommend this company to any buyers looking for an Avalon boat. Great service. I had a horrible experience with their service department and Jack the owner. I was a first time customer to PM due to them being a Mercury dealer and I had a factory recall. I picked my boat up and it was full of greasy/dirty boot prints from the front-to-back/side-to-side of the boat. I made an amicable agreement with the service manager to pick the boat two days later allowing time for the mess to be cleaned up. To add context, my boat is less than a year old with 20 hours. After a 1.5 hour drive and leaving the dealership Jack called me as I was pulling in my driveway and insisted that I return that evening and pick up my boat. Jack made it clear on the phone(at times screaming) that being a Mercury dealer was a problem for HIM as I did not purchase my boat from him, he had no room on his lot, he only made $50 for the recall and many other inconveniences my boat created for him. Jack never made an apology and was very dismissive of the root problem which ended up being irreversible greasy boot stains. Many other horrible details but Jack never listened; he is very good at giving orders but not so good at listening AND the boat still has boot stains. Do not patronize this business.

Went for boat/motor parts. Surprisingly they had everything I needed. Most parts however require a 5 day ship, which is surprising when folks want to get on the water and have limited time.To be fair, its understandable given the number of motor vendors all local dealers support. All other local dealers seem to have less supply than PMC.Because I repair my pool equipment and vehicles myself, where they can deliver parts from distribution centers same day or next day if not in stock, Im somewhat shocked local boat dealers dont have an equivalent resource.So if you need a motor part, call first. The people there are very nice. If they dont have the part they can order it for you.
Bought a beautiful 2020 Avalon 2080 Pontoon Boat here. Great service, great staff and fabulous boat. So quiet you almost have to strain to hear the MercCruiser outboard, that is til you hit it. Then theres no doubt all 115 horses are working for you. What are you waiting for? Horrible place to have service done. The manager Nelson is incompetent and has an aloof attitude. Our boat was there 3 months with no communication on why it was taking so long to do an annual service. Was overcharged and complained when the service secretary adjusted the price as she understood our frustration. Jason one of the sales managers did everything to try and help us. If your reading this Jack get rid of Nelson and hire someone competent and who cares about your customers.

Bought an Avalon Pontoon from Jack a few years ago. I felt I got a decent deal. However, when I brought my pontoon back in for service my cover was ripped, and my Bimini top had a whole in it. I took pictures of my boat prior to dropping it off so I knew there was no previous damage to my cover or Bimini. When I brought it to Jacks attention he became very argumentative and reluctantly said he would check his cameras to see if the damaged occurred their. Needless to say, he never called me back even after I left several messages. After paying $85,000 for a Pontoon I expected my pontoon to be taken care of during service and at least the courtesy of a return phone call to explain any action or inaction. After my experience with Pacific Marine Center I would never recommend doing business with them. Instead, find a company that values your business even after they make the sale.
We purchased a Scarab jet boat from the team at Pacific Marine Center and couldnt be more pleased. The boat we were looking for wasnt in stock, so we had to order it and it came just a couple of days past the estimated time of arrival, which was just fine by us. The price was fair and the whole experience, from our initial visit, to the numerous questions we had, to the sale, and finally to the delivery was enjoyable. When there was a minor issue with a part, it was addressed and taken care of in a reasonable manner and timeframe. We would not hesitate to buy another boat from them and encourage others to at least give the team a chance before making your purchase.

I must say I have had the worst experience with this dealership. The sales person Dave was one of the most despicable sales person I have ever dealt with. This dealership has all the markings of Bate and Switch. We had the deal set and upon signing, the deal dramatically changed. I will never trust this dealership and its shenanigans. They ought to be shut down with these types of sales practices. Needless to say I cancelled the deal. I will continue posting about this dealership so that no other person will experience this hideous and unprofessional treatment. And if I were the owner of this deslership I would fire this sales person immediately. I am a surgeon and if one of my staff would treat any of my patients with this much unprofessionalism, I would fire them on the spot. Unfortunately for Dave he just dealt with the wrong guy that he couldnt swindle. Until next time.

I inquired about a boat a couple months prior to buying it and Jason kept in contact while I worked on selling my previous boat, and got answers to my questions in the meantime. Jack gave me very fair pricing and made sure I had everything I needed to hit the water. Jesse did a great job setting up the boat and making sure I knew how everything works. I never felt pressured, and have confidence they will take care of me. Oh, and I love my new boat!
Ordered a custom pontoon boat from Pacific marine while they were at the local boat show. Purchase from the owner and cannot express enough how easy this process was. Everything i was told came true and if something changed/any delays I knew right then. Never did I feel left in the dark during this process, I always felt I was his only customer. READ THIS REVIEW....I just bought a Crestliner VT 17 from Jack and his crew, and could not be happier! They have a friendly environment in their showroom, and we got great customer service! I was reading the reviews and noticed a few things.First, some folks complained about a custom order...which all seemed to be one customer and a bunch of his friends who he asked to comment. Our boat was a custom order and we had a great experience! Customs take time, and have to have contracts signed for the protection of both parties. I didn’t have a single issue with our order or contract that we signed.Second, when I was in the showroom I actually witnessed them going the extra mile to service a customer who had purchased a motor from them three years prior. It was comforting to see that as a customer purchasing a new boat.Last, when I made the decision to purchase and put down my deposit, I was given a price sheet with full options and pricing on it. They didn’t hide anything at all...they just don’t want you to take their price sheet and shop it. That is completely fair in the sales industry. When they knew I was serious, and it came time to ink the deal, they had no problem giving me all of the necessary pricing/options paper work.Jack, Jason and Cheryl were great!!! There were even a couple other people who helped along the process and they were great. Their prices are very competitive, and they provide great customer service. This is the worst experience Ive ever had purchasing any watercraft or vehicle from any dealership! In May 2018 I was interested in purchasing a new boat for this summer. I called Pacific Marine Center and explained to Jack (the owner) that I needed this boat by the end of June at the latest. I explained to him that if he cannot guarantee that the boat will be here in time that I would not be placing the order. He reassured me over the phone that if I came down and placed the order the next day, it would be arrive by the 3rd or 4th week of June. The next day (May 30, 2018) I drive four hours to this dealership to place my order. I also put down a $5000 deposit.June passed and I did not hear anything from this dealership. I called and asked for an update and was told that it would be another few weeks before it arrives. Basically it would arrive at the middle/end of July. About a month later than promised. I informed the dealership that I would like to cancel my order and get my deposit back, since it would be available a month later than I promised.Jack the owner started yelling at me over the phone that he never told me that the boat would be ready to pickup at the end of June. But rather that the boat would be completed by the manufacturer at the end of June. Either case, neither was true. As of July 5th, the boat is still not completed and it would take another few weeks to arrive at the dealership. But I assure you that I triple checked with him over the phone that boat would be ready for PICKUP at the end of June before I drove 4 hours to place this order back in May.Jack told me he would not be giving my $5000 deposit back. I honestly believe he promised me that it would be ready for pickup at the end of June just to get the sale, even though he knew it would not arrive in time. What a shady business!Jack even threatened to file a lawsuit on me for wanting to cancel this purchase and receive a refund on my deposit! Ive never seen or heard any dealership threaten to file a lawsuit on a potential customer for not wanting to do business with them anymore.It gets worse! He then told me that once the boat arrives he would charge me an interest of 13% each day the boat sits at his lot and not paid for by me. This is after I told him that I no longer want to do business with his company. My next step is to hire an attorney because California law states the dealership must return the deposit if the purchase is not completed. This has been a nightmare and I would strongly urge anyone thinking of purchasing watercraft from this company to go elsewhere.
I purchased my second used boat from them. They will tell you to your face that they do a full service on every used boat they take in... (ie motor oil service, outdrive service, impeller change)Dont believe it for a second. If it runs they simply shine it up and hand you the keys. My motor oil and outdrive oil were black as sin, and the impeller was clearly many years old.Also told me they put new tires on the trailer, LIE. Tires date coded 2007, same year as the boat.Owner and service manager are bold faced liers. Dont believe anything they tell you about used boats.Owner also buys salvaged boats, fixes them up and never tells customers they were salvaged titles.
Very ShadyJack was very helpful from the beginning with getting a price on a new Crestliner. But when I asked for a quote on paper he got all defensive and saying price is between me and him. Every other dealer was more than happy to email me a spec sheet of all options added and price. It was like pulling teeth to get anything from him. Seems like a red flag that hes all secretive about his prices as if hes not ordering you the exact options you ask for. When I figured hed be proud of his price. Just beware when dealing long distance with him.

Talked to one of the employees there trying to buy a custom boat and i forgot what his name was but he was so rude. He wasnt taking me and my friend serious, thinking we were some chump kids that had no money. You just lost a sale and yeah i already bought a new boat in Folsom.

If you could please give us more information such as brand, size, etc, if you purchased under a different name? Had you had a problem all you had to do is call or come in so that we could understand what the problem is and see about getting it resolved.

I was very disappointed with the whole customer service of Avalon and this specific marine. The boss of this marine by the name of Jack if that is his real name showed me a boat at the LA boat show and boy was I coned into this piece of crap. First thing is first I will never trust this marine ever again. They promised me a great boat and I have had several issues since I made the deal. I paid cash for a beautiful 26 foot Avalon Triton and got crap parts all throughout. The prop was deteriorating by the second month of owning it. The blow out ring was broken when they gave it to me without me realizing it till a couple weeks ago and to top it all off when I asked for customer support they directed me to go some where else. All I know is if you buy from this place keep your lawyer and receipts close.

These guys are crooks. Paid them $6000 for a new outboard. They used the wrong shaft length. Then they jury rigged it by drilling hugh holes in the transom.
