My coolant was leaking, so I took my minivan into Auto Xperts. Mark called me within an hour to inform me that my radiator was cracked. He had called around to find parts and was able to fix it within 3 hours. Best mechanic ever!

Mark Williams runs an honest auto repair shop. I learned this 10 years ago when bringing in an older car for service. I asked for new spark plug wires. Mark stated, it did not appear necessary to replace them at that time. I told him I was impressed with his integrity and as a result I would plan to always take my family vehicles to him. Ive been coming to Marc for about 10 years now. Never once had a bad experience. Hes always straight forward and I never felt like he was trying to up sell me. They are always looking to find a more affordable solution to my car issues instead of just finding the most expensive part and throwing it in there. Bottom line its nice to have a mechanic that you feel comfortable with and you can trust. I go there for all my car needs including oil changes.

Took my 2014 Camaro in for service after it developed a severe rubbing noise while driving. Marc Williams and staff quickly found the problem and fixed it, FAST! My car was ready in under an hour! On top of that, staff was friendly and courteous to me. Credit to Marc for staying open during these times to help the rest of us with car trouble. I have been taking my cars here for about 25 years for maintenance and repairs. Mark is a good man and has always stood behind the work his shop provides. I have gotten great service at an honest price for all of these years...knowledge too.My last visit was because my Buick was stalling out, twice on the freeway. It turned out to be the after market auto-start that came with the car when I bought it. Beware of those and after market car alarms when you buy your next vehicle.

Just called for a quote on diagnostics--whoever I spoke to was incredibly rude. The tone of his voice indicated that my questions were wasting his time, and they were totally reasonable questions, in my opinion. Its 8:00am and maybe you havent had your coffee, but decent phone etiquette is important for generating/maintaining business. Maybe rethink your attitude.

I took my car there twice. The first time there was a young mechanic that was really good. He explained exactly what was wrong and what it would take to it fixed. My car was fixed on time and at a reasonable price. But the young mechanic was frustrated because he was basically running the shop and he couldnt get in contact with the owner. The second time I took my car there to get work done, the young mechanic had quit. The owner was there operating the shop with a different mechanic. That should have been my sign not to have them work on my car, but since I had such great experience the first time, I decided to let them fix my car, although I thought the price was too high. I dropped the car off that morning and they promised to have the work complete by that afternoon. Two day later they still had not completed the work. So the owner finally called to inform me that the price would be higher than what was originally quoted. I asked why. He then explained that they had broken the mounting bolt to the alternator and they had to get a new one from the dealership. I ask why was I being charged for the bolt that they had broken. I didnt break it, they did. He said and I quote: thats the way we do business. We argued back and forth because I felt that I should not have to pay for their mistake. The owner stated that I did not have to pay for the bolt, but I would need to pick up my car and have it towed away from his shop. I needed my car so I ended up paying the extra charge. I will never EVER take my car back there again! I wish I knew where that young mechanic relocated to. Good service is hard to find.

Auto-Lab - Madison Heights, MIOver the years Ive taken my car to a number of different places, large chain stores like Firestone and Midas to the dealership where I purchased my car from and nobody comes close to the service I get from Marc at Auto-Lab.Marc Williams who is the owner of the Madison Heights Auto-Lab does an excellent job at answering my questions. I highly recommend Marc for a number of reasons:1. He does what needs to be done and doesnt try to take advantage of you. (Its very important to have a mechanic you can trust).2. He wont try to replace something that doesnt need to be replaced. (I came in thinking my alternator was bad and he conducted his tests and only had to replace the battery and my car works perfect again.)3. He is friendly and reliable and will call you back when he says that he will. (Each time he said he would call back he did.)4. He has the best prices in town and stands behind his work. (I was quoted for work at the dealership and Marcs quote was so much better even with the cost to move my vehicle (because it needed to be towed) was a few hundred dollars less than the dealerships quote and I received factory parts too. Reliable repairs and great service. I have been relying on them for auto repairs for four years while I lived in Michigan. They made sure to call me after repairs to confirm if the diagnosis and fixes they made were correct and functional. Even after I moved out of state they were willing to go the extra mile to help me sort out problems I had with my parts and to me, that really shows the dedication they have to their customers.

My car started to shake whenever I exceeded 35 mph, so I took it to the well known repair shop I usually go to for maintenance. After test driving it, they determined that my front tie rod was in need of repair and told me that it was dangerous to drive. They gave me an estimate of close to $600 to repair. I told them that I wouldnt have that much money to spend until next week. I was going to drive home and not touch my car until I had the money to get the repairs done. I felt bad about this as it meant I would have to reschedule 2 doctors appointments and miss 3 events at my church.I listen to WMUZ who regularly recommends Auto-Lab. I decided to stop at an Auto-Lab on my way home for a second estimate. I gave the first estimate to the owner, Marc. He gave me an estimate about $150 less but told me theyd have to put the car up to take a look at it. After doing so, their mechanic (who has approximately 35 years experience) said I didnt need 2 of the items and I could delay purchasing 1 of the items. He fixed my car and the total bill was for $287.13! Needless to say, Ive got a new mechanic.

Came In for a high pressure coolant flush and to get some estimates on a couple other suspected problems. They had a complete broken down estimate waiting for me. All done in an hour. Quick easy and honest. Even suggest another place that might be able to do some exhaust work cheaper and easier than he could.

Helpful and knowledgeable, the staff exceeded expectations and followed through. I feel the work was completed well and staff answered all questions. They dropped an axel, and replaced a fuel pump in just two days.

Great pricing and service! Id been worried since Ive never been to this place before, but they did the job well and cheaply and did another minor repair.... for free! Definitely coming back.

Well I only had to go here because they are a lot closer then my normal mechanic and with my car having a bog/miss, I did not want to drive it far. With that they kept it two days to look into my problem, only to come back and tell me my Catalytic converter was plugged and it would cost me 170$ just for the diagnose and would be looking at around 400-500$ to swap my converter out. So I had it towed to my normal mechanic just to get a second opinion and he said my converter was fine and that one of my spark plug wires was arcing causing a misfire under load and would be under 50$ to swap them out. Lesson learned, 170$ mistake for not taking it to my normal mechanic in the first place.

I called AutoLab and spoke with Mark (the owner) to repair my brake lines (it sprung a leak). I had first taken my truck to a GM dealer (Mathews Hargreaves) - I know, it was a big mistake. They quoted me over $800 to fix a single line. I knew that was ridiculous so I googled brake shops and saw AutoLab. In speaking with Mark he said he could do it much cheaper, even though he hadnt seen the truck at all (most places wouldnt ever give an opinion without seeing the vehicle). The next day they fixed it for $370! I felt really comfortable talking with Mark, and thought he was honest and fair. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his shop.

I along with my family members have been taking our vehicles to Auto Lab for many many years....Mark is HONEST and stands by his work.....if there are any issues after work is performed he has you bring it right back in and resolves the issue! Terrible service, after two visits they finally found the malfunction, even though both visits were related to exactly the same problem they still charged me for both visits. They smoked either inside of my car or inside of the shop with the doors of my car opened now my car has this terrible tobacco smell and I cant get rid of it. After confronting the owner/manager about it (I think his name is Mark), he called the mechanic that worked in my car only to have him yelling at me saying that if I didnt like the service I could take my car any other place I wanted. My car is now a stinking cigar on wheels and they didnt even take responsibility.

We brought a vehicle in for a power steering pump and they decided to be cheap and fill it with trans fluid instead of power steering fluid, that didnt stop them from charging for it though.. No respect for mechanics who cuts corners to make a few extra dollars!

Their prices are okay, but the guy at the counter was rude. Showed up a little late to pick up my car, probably 10-15 minutes before they closed, and the guy had already locked the doors and was walking to his car, and apparently it was my fault he closed early because I didnt call ahead? Probably wont go here again.

I brought my car in for the trains lines to be replaced and a tube that was leaking for the coolant they got it done the next day and it was very cheap thank you!
