Great place to go if you need propane. They dont do exchange but they will refills! I filled 2 tanks that were almost empty and it was under $9 for both tanks to be filled up! I went on the 4th of July and they were open. They had a sign hanging that said they are open 7 days a week for propane even every holiday except Christmas day! So I will definitely only be refilling my propane at U-hual!

Online said they had trucks available but in the store they acted like I was crazy for even trying to walk in. Tried to book for following Saturday a week away and that day was all reserved too. According to those guys, everywhere in 10 mile radius had nothing available. Jokes on them, the Troy location had just what we needed and were very friendly and easy to do business with. Madison Heights UHaul has bad customer service, are unhelpful in every way, and make you feel dumb. Go to Troy instead

I made myself late to work by returning their truck BEFORE work, when I could have kept it for 21 hours later, the next day. I did that so they could maximize their profit on the truck by renting it again that day. In return for my thoughtfulness, they charged me $10 in gas for driving a cargo van 15 miles! Thanks for nothing, Uhaul! 🤬

Went out of my way to bring the truck back in 21 hours early when I COULD have kept it all night, so they could maximize their profit on the truck. In return, they charged me 10$ for gas in a CARGO VAN that I drove FIFTEEN miles, based on the GAS GAGE reading, which everyone knows doesnt budge for the first 20-40 miles, then drops very quickly. Thanks for NOTHING Uhaul!

Worst customer service - general manager needs to attend anger management. Will never rent here again.

I drove just few miles and the tire went flat. I called for help and got referred to the 800 number. I called 800 number and was referred to a website. I went on the website and needed an account to do anything. Still sitting on I-75 in a construction zone with no help and a flat tire. Very dangerous. Advised the clerk Nancy where I was and that it was not safe and still got no help. Only now, after an hour of waiting with NO RESPONSE TO MY REQUESTS FOR A TOW in a different representative, Sandy, saying that they are backed up and only now NOW saying I can call 911. Now she is saying she is back in the que for a tow truck. I asked when and why would she have left the que? NO RESPONSE.

I was on hold twice for over 20 minutes just to get hung up on. Pretty poor service.

Returned a truck just before closing time yet both employees on duty worked diligently to help us get a needed receipt for a business reimbursement. Both gentlemen were helpful and professional despite our late Saturday evening return.

My wife and I move so frequently that I have become an expert at U-Haul locations. It is not as nice smelling as the Midtown/New Center Detroit location (not lying), but this was a good U-Haul location.They were patient and kind and handled everything we needed with competency. I would definitely recommend renting a truck or buying some boxes and bubble wrap from them.

Great shop and awesome staff. They installed a hitch and trailer wiring on my vehicle. They have continued to help me a couple times over the past three years. Will continue to use them in the future.

Very convenient after hours rental. The truck was clean and ran great, didnt smell. But when I turned on the truck the air was blasting directly in my face and some debris came out of the vents and straight into my eyes. I had to pull off on a side street using my passengers direction because I was blinded and it took me 5 minutes to get whatever it was out from under my eyelid. Also, in the parking lot we were searching for our truck using the app and there was a thin wire strung from a propane tank to a post, it was not visible to the eye and my boyfriend ran right into it and cut his shin open. I then tripped over it as well because I couldnt see it either. But by the time we got back with the truck 2.5 hours later, someone had already tied caution tape on it, which Im impressed by. Besides the couple mishaps I would use this U-Haul again because of the after hours options.

Garbage more expensive than Jim Ashmores also wanted a credit card to make a reservation when Iam paying cash. You may find this hard to believe but not everyone has a credit card. They wanted $45.00 to rent a tow dolly to move a car 6 blocks!!!!! Iam calling BS on U-haul and calling them rob all.

Everything from Staff, rental and return was perfect. Thank you guys....I used it to pickup furniture from Art Van. Perfect

Came here for a tow dolly. They refused to let us return it at another location and wouldnt let us tow with our vehicle. They demanded that we rent one of their trucks. Our vehicle is used to tow a fifth wheel and theres nothing wrong with the hitch. They just wanted to make more money. Shady people here. Ill never go to another Uhaul after this.

Used them twice, paid $30-45 for an hour driving around town.Normally use the trucks from Home Depot for $20-25.Good service, good trucks. Id recommend and use again

Staff is very friendly and helpful but we made reservations for a 20ft uhaul 2 weeks before our moving date. The day before we move we learn they gave our uhaul to somebody else! Nonsense.

Propane is much cheaper to get filled up at this location than to exchange the tank. You get much more in your tank with a refill than you do at any exchange station.

Rented a truck from this location, when I returned it they charged me for damage i did not cause (a light on the top of the truck). I disputed it, they called me back they said they had a video to prove it was correct but wont show it to me and told me to deal with my credit card company if I didnt like the fee. Will not be dealing with this location ever again.

Light in the cargo area of the truck wouldnt come onLock jammed the door and prevented it from closing, my husband had to work it for about 30 mins to get it looseWe were told by customer service at 2;30 pm that if wed like to extend our rental for another day, we could call backand let them know when it got closer to the 5pm deadline. I called at 4pm to extend it, and they told me it isnt available for an extension and that we has to return it before 5pm.My husband called and spoke to the regional manager and expressed our situation and the inconvenience they had caused. He assured us that we could keep the truck til 8am the following day.When we returned the truck the next day, the man at the store charged us an extra $20 fee for keeping the rental over. He said I dont know why the regional manager told you that there wouldnt be a charge, this is my store!.....I understand that $20 is not the end of the world but there were 5-7 other big trucks parked in the lot.Very unsatisfied with the experience

I called before driving to this location and was told specifically that our company representative could make phone payment, only to arrive and find out that their store policy forbids this. Now Im headed to Ryder, two hours behind schedule. I had a bad feeling listening to them explain to the guy in front of me why his bill was $800 more than theyd quoted him. Never again, U-haul, never again.

Good place to rent a truck prices are same at most uhauls but the customer service at this location is great

These guys have been awesome helping me with my moving project. Packing materials are not cheap. But Uhaul seems to have the best overall prices.I ordered the Upak pods and they were delivered on time by a very professional driver.Upak pods were more reasonable than paying for a storage building. Provided you dont need constant access to your stuff.
