Thrift store with lots of nice items. Clothes seem a bit pricier than other thrift stores but it is in Madison. Large selection of furniture and clothes. You can also find books, toys, shoes & household items here. Parking is ample although exiting and entering can be tricky as Odana Road seems to be a busy street all the time.If you deem this review helpful please give it a like. Thank you.
The pros: plenty of parking, no smelly/strong odors, nice selection of women’s clothes & shoes! The cons: unfriendly staff at the check out counter and pretty high prices for donated items. I’ve noticed that a lot of thrift stores have raised their prices on used stuff that people have donated. I mean come on, I’ve seen $40 jackets, $75 purses, $50 high heels at this St Vinnys…I also see the same expensive inventory sitting on the display cases week after week, month after month because let’s be honest, who’s gonna spend that kind of money at a thrift store? I bought a pair of used boots for my son for $15. I didn’t realize how much the boots were because I had a cart full of stuff. When I went home to check the receipt that’s when I saw the price!
This store is nicely organized and has some good deals for donated items. I would suggest pricing donated clothes with keeping in mind making them available to the less moneyed clients. Presently priced more like an exclusive second hand store making the items out of reach for many.
Another one of my favorite St. Vinneys. Spread out a bit more than some others, therefore the shopability is smoother and less strain on the eyes. Clean and organized. Always something new and fun. Staff is not very engaging, save one guy. Ive been to about every thrift shop in the area multiple times and this is one I try to hit whenever Im in the Odana Road area.
I have visited this store twice this year and found some good stuff both times. I purchased clothes in Feb b/c I was flying home to TN and this time I bought a lot of housewares since wed driven up. The prices were very reasonable and I could spend way too much time in there. The employees could be friendlier (greeting and thanking customers), and it should be part of the training process to teach that breakable items need to be securely wrapped and protected from other breakable items and bagged. Purchasing about eight items including a mirror, a coffee carafe, picture frames, a crystal vase, etc., I was asked if I wanted a bag and then it took multiple interactions to get even the barest amount of newspaper wrapped around a few of the items. Even if the items are inexpensive, they dont have any value if they dont make it home unbroken.
Can always count finding something at St. Vinnys! Decent prices. Large store with excellent staff!
Great Thrift Store. Quality items galore. New stuff every day.
Very well organized for men, women and children clothing. A bright clean store with plenty of parking.
No cash registers openNo music playing for customers 🥺
Fantastic little thrift store! Its one of my favorites in the Madison area. The prices are great. And they have so much variety! They have clothes, shoes, furniture, knickknacks, bedding, toys, and household items. All gently used. Everything is so nicely organized too. Its a very user friendly store. We love browsing here.
The clerks at the donation center are very rude. Instead of feeling good about donating something, you will just regret why you came to this place to donate your stuff!
I went yesterday to St.Vinnys to look at some leggings and jeans. I couldnt try any items on due to covid so I took my best shot and was told I could do a return if they didnt fit. I came back today because not a single item fit me (couldnt get the pants over ny calves) to only be given store credit. With the new rule of not being able to try things on, I had to bring them home to try. Nothing fit and now Im out 70 dollars.Super upset and will not be giving them my donations or service anymore.
Too crowded and expensive! Their clothing prices were more expensive than consignment stores (where consignors generally get 50% of the profit...). I will continue to shop at Goodwill and Salvation Army where I can find more affordable items and good deals on sale.
This store would be a 5 star if they could find NICE people to work there. Every time I shop here the clerks are very rude. They are not helpful and I feel that if they hate it there that bad maybe they should get a different job!
Great organization and the customer service at this location is awesome!! Definitely love to go here despite the overall ideal location,
A fantastic place to shop and save and also donate your gently used items
Too pricey on a lot of stuff. $20+ dollars for hollister/lucky jeans? $35 for an Ann Taylor cardigan? I could get this stuff on sale new for close to the same 🤷
I love this St VINCENT DePaul. The people are so Friendly the place is clean and I can always find what I’m looking for. They are helpful in loading your car. When purchasing a larger item. And they are fast and efficient
Decent prices, nice selection of good clothing, and household items. Overpriced on electronics, but this store isnt focused on electronics at all, so the selection of that is small here.Clean store. Nice staff. Nice location.
I love Crystal glasses. I have found some great ones here. Also a nice mug selection. Plus, I found a weird board game new in the box, and I love weird board games!
These stores, throughout the Madison area, are so awesome to find great items and really, really fantastic prices.... I have only been a few times so far and have blown away each time... Selection and completeness far beats, the Goodwills and Salvation Army stores...
Such nice clothing! Found some really great items. Loved the linens sale
The quality of items here is noticeably higher than at any Goodwill. Lots of clothing items look like they have never been worn. Easy to donate to as well, and it supports a good cause.
A great place for furniture, kitchen stuff, and dresses
Horrible customer service. I brought in a giant box to donate, well before closing time, and the lady told me they were “done taking donations for the day.” She wouldn’t even let me set the box down and told me I should “take it somewhere else” as she walked to the exit door and waited for me to leave.
Huge selection, very low prices. Truly a bargain shoppers paradise. Well worth the stop. Tons of everything you could imagine. Wonderful staff.
The clothing section is huge and you have a good chance at finding what you are looking for. Their furniture selection is really small and most of the furniture is not very nice. If you want second hand furniture try the St. Vincent on the East side.
The prices on some things here is a bit expensive for what I expect at a second hand store. You can find some unique items though and thats where the appeal is. Theres a wide variety of books and dishes so perhaps you could complete a collection if you have the time to hunt.
Friendly staff except for long-haired guy. He Has issues. Prices high as noted by many others. Quality of stuff. So so.
Great place to find the thing you need or want. Womens section for clothing is great. Also found some furniture here that suits. This is a true second-hand store and not a place that sells overpriced vintage stuff.
One of the better resale shops Ive seen. Good collections. Nice store. Lots of parking
Great spot for finding candles and house goods. Friendly staff. Sign up for a Vinnys card and get $1 every $20 spent. Seniors get a discount on a certain day.
First off, their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Basic mall clothing brands were anywhere from $10-$30, I can purchase many of the items cheaper new and these items are donated for free. While I refused to support their high prices and did not buy anything, they did have the store nicely organized.
Its a thrift store ... neat and nicely arranged ... but we were expecting a big store, and this left us unimpressed. They had very few toys, a small selection of books, some household items, and LOTS of clothes. Not exactly our cup of tea ... but if youre looking for clothing bargains, you might want to stop in.
Sometimes you find items fairly priced. Usually its hit or miss. Staff seems friendly and helpful.
One of the better thrift malls in town. Look for electronics, toys, furniture, house ware and more. Super friendly service too.
Nice selection of items. Prices run rather high though. Selling donated clothes for original hang tag price. Sales person was rude.
The expansion gave them more room for furniture. I find the clothing difficult to navigate. I prefer how goodwill sorts by color.
Prices higher than others, but the store is clean and they keep things pretty well organized. I Wish that the staff wouldnt complain so much however.
Great selection! But prices are sky rocketing. No one wants to pay $5 for a used T-shirt.
Always great service. Never know what youll find here, but thats half the fun.
Nice st. Vinnies, have a good selection, they do a lot of good things for the community. Went here for my sisters birthday
Good, ever-changing selection of second hand items. Found a nice, clean card table for $12.
Nice thrift store. They keep it quite clean and organized and the quality of items is usually higher than Goodwill.
Large space. Everything is nicely organized. Prices are very reasonable
Clean, good variety of stuff. If your looking for good used furniture, this should be on your list.
Omg seriously the best please in the world!! Super nice people and a very nicely clean and organized place
Huge selection and great thrifting! Macklemore would be proud! Really easy place to donate also
Prices on furniture went from reasonable to astronomical after the renovation. Still a lot of variety but be prepared to pay for it.
Theres usally a hidden treasure here at a really good price just about every time I go in
This store has a decent selection. They seem a bit larger than most.
Really fun store to shop at. Things are priced to sell.
Very nice store. Merchandise nicely displayed
Great deals and friendly workers! One mans junk is anothers treasure
This is a store for rich poor people. I guess the person who prices things used to work at an antique store and thinks they still do. Anything nice is WAY over priced. I dont know who they think their clientele is but it's not the people who need them most- not at those prices.
Very picky on what they take!! No plant holders,no pots,no working umbrellas, no working 5 year old air conditioners blows ice cold.no plastic bins, no garbage cans, no fireplace sets,.DONATE TO GOODWILL....
Good selection. Largest store in Madison. Clean. Prices on clothrs.
Overpriced. I know the profits go to a good cause but you cant say youre helping the community by providing low cost items and then have a damaged sofa priced for $350.
Very expensive. You may find the occasional treasure, but otherwise the quality of the items is pretty lackluster.
This is the best store to find ball jointed dolls for cheap to repaint. You can find manga here from time to time too.
This is a very nice store with lots of quality items
Great place to find great things.
I find great stuff here every time. Please keep your donations coming!
Large, clean store. Great variety. Friendly staff.
Reasonable prices unlike some other st. Vinny.
The staff is always super nice. They have a lot of cloths to look through.
Good stuff. Never now what youll find.
Great buys and a GREAT local charity to support.
Good selection. Always like shopping StV.
A small storevery well runfriendly staff
Always have good products to shop for clean store
Great selection, nice and clean fit sure. Prices are really random however.
Great place to find things you did not know you needed like a clock that chirps or an ammo can
The food pantry is so nice
Ive purchased many items here, including furniture. Always well-priced. The furniture was even delivered to my apartment!
They do not know how to price a lot of items
Small and good for quick resale stop
Excellent resale store, and for a good cause.
If you love the thrift, youll love st.vinnys
Horrible if I could give this place no stars I would the pricing is WAY OUT OF CONTROL this is donated stuff how do u justify charging 350 to 500 for a sofa that was DONATED and damaged at that this place is crazy go to goodwill and save ur self time and money.
New building is very spacious!
