Very knowledgeable staff. I had lighting ideas and was recommended products that were perfect for our project. After viewing the website and emailing with questions, which were promptly answered, you cant beat going in and talking to the staff and seeing such an amazing lighting showroom. Options are unlimited and of great quality.

Customer service after the sale was poor. Madison Lighting failed to communicate with us on a replacement for a light fixture that did not work out of the box. Made 2 phone calls to Madison Lighting looking for an update. Was explained they would order a driver for us. Two weeks past, and the first order of the replacement driver was never made. We never received a call following the re-order of the driver. Ended up driving to the store for an explanation. Our replacement was in stock, again no one called to inform us. We waited 5 weeks for the replacement fixture with no follow up.

Their customer service department was also outstanding in resolving a minor issue with mismatched lamp shades, and worked with the manufacturer on my behalf. Will definitely consider for future fixture purchases!

Good selection. Disappointing customer service. We ordered lighting and a ceiling fan totaling nearly $1,000. Initially we were told 2-3 weeks to receive our items. Two weeks later, we were told 4-6 weeks. Now over two months after our purchase, we were told another 4-6 weeks. It will be end up being well over 3 months before our lighting arrives. Our electrician has been rescheduled twice and we dont have a install date scheduled yet due to this unreliability.Madison Lighting told us they are at the mercy of the manufacturer but we have had to reach out to the store each time to get updates rather than letting us know about the delays. Weve asked to have our order rush shipped once it reaches the states from China but have yet to receive a reply from any staff.We wanted to support a local business but this kind of experience further supports internet shopping.Fall 2018 update -- for the rest of the story, the lighting finally arrived in late July and the manager of the store personally drove it to our house the day it arrived and was very apologetic for the long delay, which was much appreciated. We are very pleased with the light and fan.

Madison Lighting is one of the most pleasant places to shop in Madison. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they obviously enjoy each others company. We have fun. It is a beautiful store, filled with happy people that is a refreshing change. If I need more lighting, it is the first place I will go.

Helpful stuff and pleasant experience. I was looking for a hugger fan, and the girl I worked with was very knowledgeable and helpful. The fan I was interested in did not have the light lumen and temperature information on the box nor on the manufacturers website, she actually called up the manufacturer and found out for me. With the sale price, it was actually cheaper than Amazon. Regardless, I always like to support our local stores. Will buy from them again in the future for all my ceiling fan needs.

They charge triple, if not more, retail and do NOT stand by their products. We bought alot of fixtures from them (RETAIL) two of which are defective. A 300$ bath light fixture has to be totally replaced by US, their customer, because one of the sockets is defective, basically she said its out of warranty so too bad so sad for you!!! The other $400 fixture probably has a defective socket because a light bulb that was supposed to last 900 hrs. did NOT, not even close!?!! Its a VERY difficult fixture to work with too! NOT happy with this business at all!!! Can get just as good and probably better QUALITY fixtures at home depot or menards. BAD CUS. SER., BAD PRODUCTS, OVERLY PRICED BAD LIGHTING FIXTURES, I STRONGLY SUGGEST TO STAY AWAY!!! Its a rip-off business!!!

The photos are old here and dont tell the story at all. I shop at Madison Lighting often. My homes exterior lighting came from here and it was a wonderful experience. The salesperson was kind, patient, and has great taste! I wasnt sure about the proportion, how large should the fixtures by my front door be? They asked about the style of the house, paint colors, and made suggestions. Im looking at a new light fixture for my dining area now, and the same sales person, Danielle, has been helping me. They have quality light fixtures that will last several years with an eye on trends. And its priced at everyday low prices so when I checked on the internet, no one had the fixtures I bought at a lower price. Nice.

Ask for Lovisa! I am building a home and Madison Lighting is a preferred supplier. I set an appointment with Lovisa and was overjoyed with my experience. She was prepared with my plans, asked smart questions and was very helpful throughout the selection process and was careful to understand my style and what I was looking to achieve with my fixtures. Kudos to Lovisa and her guidance and service through the process. I’m thrilled and dare I say even stayed within my budget.

Had a lamp quality issue, was able to do an exchange to a lamp by the House of Troy, I believe, Burlington VT. Paid a little extra, We are well pleased thanks to the manager, and store policy.

Good selections but staff not helpfull at all. Nobody bothered to come to us the whole time we were there, although there were at least 2 behind the counter not helping anybody.
