The gentleman at front counter 10/1/21 from at least from 7-8 pm WAS AMAZING!! I CANNOT THANK HIM ENOUGH!! Missed my package at home. Drove an hour to pickup at the Fed Ex on kinsmann in Madison. Was told I wouldnt be able to pick at the center over the phone. Glad I took the chance because this wonderfully helpful man was more than happy to help me and make sure I got my package. I wish I wouldve gotten his nameπ« this day and age it is difficult to find friendly, helpful, and kind people that will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy. I truly appreciate his kindness.

Normally fedex is great. Which is why Iβm leaving 3 stars.But.& I should give 1 star over this ridiculous situation theyβve put us through this week.I ordered a mattress & it came into the Madison location sat night/Sunday morning. It said it was expected Sunday & out for delivery (I live 20 min away). It never came.Every day since; out for delivery. Itβs Wednesday & Iβve called multiple times to check. Madison keeps taking the mattress off the van that it is put on. Every day I get a βyouβre delivery is scheduled for today,β and I call when itβs not, and someone tells me it was taken off the delivery van it was placed on. WTH-Iβm pretty sure itβs due to pure laziness from not wanting to carry my box to the front door. If you donβt want to carry heavy items, or deliver packages, then donβt work for a DELIVERY COMPANY
They claimed to have tried to deliver my package, but I literally took the day off work to wait for it. They sent it back claiming they tried but none was home. It was medication I had to sign for. When I went to pick up the package, they treated me like I had been scammed. They finally went to get my package. π«
Bad customer service my package was delayed for 3 days for no reason. The driver put attempt delivery twice that I wasnt home .and I was home .this package was very important it was a birthday gift and it didnt not make it .I was giving it as a gift .the tracking sad pick up from FedEx facility went there no Luck waited for 20min they couldnt find it in the facility. They sad they will reach out to me nothing I called 1800 number no luck I never had experience like this before.

I purchased a mattress and bed frame in the last few weeks that were shipped through fedex. The mattress was supposed to be delivered and I watched the delivery driver drive directly past my house as I was in the front yard. 10 min later I get an email saying that they tried to deliver my package but I was not home. It was a heavy mattress and I am 100% sure that the driver didnt want to carry it and lied. It said to sign the slip on the door. But there wasnt any slip because he never actually stopped. It was a Friday. Luckily, the Saturday guy actually stopped.Today, 3 boxes containing the frame were supposed to be delivered. All three boxes showed they were on the same truck and out for delivery. Only 1 got dropped off (guess what?! It was the lightest one).The biggest problem is there is no way to actually contact any customer service or submit a complaint about a driver. Literally zero ways to contact anyone other than a virtual assistant.

I dont know what FedEx is paying these people, but whatever it is, it is way too much. Ive had a few packages sent here for pickup, and multiple times they can not find my package even when it was delivered the same day only an hour or two before. Ive literally had to go home, come back the following day and then they tell me it was delivered yesterday and could have picked it up then. Not to mention it almost feels like a joke to them when they cant help you.
Wish I could leave a negative number. Package sitting at Madison WI Hub for several days after putting on wrong truck Customer NO SERVICE says it will be delivered tomorrow 3 days now. What a Joke FEDEX is! I would be ashamed of this type of service. I ordered early to avoid a shipping mess and now my Grand-kids Birthday present will not make it! How about a refund!!!!

I have usually had great service from FedEx, but twice in the last 2 months, deliveries that were supposed to be made to my door were left 1/2 mile away. Packages weigh approximately 50 lbs. each x 2. Not impressed, my exact address and delivery instructions appear on each label. Company I ordered from has been made aware and filed complaints.
Didnt follow a simple request to hold package. To consolidate errands, I drove 30 miles to the nearest location to pick up item. It wasnt there but put on truck for delivery. Will never do business with FedEx again.
Very busy place and seemed short staffed, as does every place of business during this pandemic. It Was wonderful service overall, but some people in line seemed a bit impatient. I have never seen it this busy either!.
Drivers really need to scan packages when loading and delivering. The last THREE times i got package 1 of 2, but not 2 of 2. Then i get tracking number a week later saying already delivered. Hopefully they can find this 3rd package as publisher says no more available in US.

So S-L-O-W!!! Every time I order or have something that ships via Fedex it takes almost a MONTH to get a few states away. Currently waiting on a package from Whitchita Kansas to south central Wisconsin. It literally took 1 week to leave the starting city! What they heck are you doing with the packages? Sitting on them waiting for them to hatch? Whomever is in charge of their logistics needs an upgrade.
Didnt even ring the doorbell to deliver my package that needed a signature, just left a door tag. I checked my security feed, low effort employee trying to cut corners. The garage door and windows were open, people were obviously home. Come on Fedex, whats going on guys, the quality of work has been going down fast over the past year. I pay you to complete the delivery, not 75% of it and then making me drive across town to get my package. Im using UPS from now on, they let you track your drivers location while its out for delivery and you get real people on the phone when you call them.

During this stay at home time I needed to make a run to FedEx to return a package. I was pleased to see that everyone working there was wearing a mask as well as all of the customers. Their signage was very clear - only a certain number of people would be allowed in at one time And social distancing must be observed. The gentleman that helped me with my package was very polite, kind and even though he had a mask on I could tell he was smiling which was a plus. I felt relaxed and comfortable and not stressed or pushed. I say this because I was having a hard time finding my label. He was very patient.

Just want to talk to a customer service representative and I cant without knowing a tracking or ticket number. Unbelievable! I despise FedEx and absolutely hate when my items are sent through them.
Was able to drop off my FedEx package just fine! When I asked about the prepaid USPS box I had though the gentlemen working said I mean you can leave it here, but its not ours.Needless to say that didnt inspire confidence it would be delivered and thus I went to the nearest UPS store and they took it...oh well.

Friendly and helpful with customers who knew the routine and those who were shipping novices. The line got long so the one employee requested help. The person who came to help was friendly and helpful but there was little urgency so it took a while for help to arrive.
The guy was really amazing. I had to add a second tracking barcode and the package had already left E.Washington street - so I went to this location to add it. The best experience I have had in my courier (UPS/Fedex) store experience.
Ive had super good service here! They are kind enough to change a delivery Street ; so that the driver is not lost trying to find me off on a Rd. In countryπ Very nice when I picked up there too.( my shipper always gets rd & Str. Mixed up. ) OT IS SREET! π

I told her I tried google and I was calling because that was also unhelpful. After putting me on hold I was sent back into call directory. Please never use fed ex.

Delivery driver rang bell this morning. I responded on intercom within 10 seconds, was at front door in under 20 and the truck was already gone with a note on the door. They selected that we werent home when I looked into it via the fedex app. Clearly not true. Must have had the slip printed and just stuck it on the door and ran back to their truck.No easy way to have them reschedule the delivery as I couldnt get anyone on the phone after holding for 15 mins this morning. So my immunocompromised self needs to go out in a pandemic and pick it up from their store (where I think it is? The website said its going to the kingsman blvd site, the slip on the door said its being dropped at a walgreens so who freaking knows.) I heard FedEx is awful to work for, so I kinda dont blame the driver for doing a poor job. But dang, yall. This is awful service.

TERRIBLE! After calling main customer service line and requesting a package held, I went in and they stated they never go the call and it was out for delivery, and this was the last attempt. They did agree to send it out next day due to the inconvenience. I called them again later that night and they confirmed that it would be delivered. Tracked the package next morning and see it still at the facility. Called right when they opened, spoke with the SAME PERSON I spoke with the night before, and they said they had received a call earlier that it should be held. After becoming agitated and shouting at me, the worker stated it would be delivered. Well see.
Still waiting for a package that was supposed to be delivered no later then 430pm. Its now 6 pm. Was given no updates or information the medication that was supposed to be delivered. Called and talked to a supervisor who was useless. They were then supposed to contact me to tell me when they would be here and didnt do so. Employees on phone were not helpful at all and very snippy.
Great parking. Fast drop off. They have a dolly if you need to use it for larger boxes.

This location was the closest FedEx shipping place for a prepaid critical business package I needed to drop off. After driving 34 miles, the service person very nicely explained that the preprinted label couldnt be scanned and would have to be redone. She took the time to re-enter all of the information, verify the account that was paying for the shipping, printed a new label and gave me detailed receipts showing everything. I was thrilled with the attention to detail and assurance that the package would be delivered with the urgency needed!

The people there are always so rude and they will ignore you. Had a package there today and asked my fiance to pick it up for me. We live at the same address and our ID are up to date with our address. Well the person who helped him immediately passed judgment because I have a very Asian name and hes Caucasian. They refused him only because his name wasnt on the package even though he had the door tag with him and his ID had the same address as the package. I even called the customer service line and they said that he should be able to pick up the package. Every time I have to pick up a package from there, theres always seem to be an issue. If I can choose who ships packages to my house I would never choose FedEx. Always a bad experience.
Refused to deliver my package to general delivery at USPS. When I went to pick it up in person on Kinsman Dr. I was met with the most unfriendly, attitude-having piece of trash employee.

Tried to deliver an important package of mine to my neighbor and claimed we were unreachable because they confused the address. Customer support was zero help. Now, I am forced to wait another two days for another attempt because of the drivers negligence.
I received a door tag for a package so the next day I went to go get it from the FedEx location on the tag. When I got there, they told me it was still with the courier and that I would not have been able to get it anyways because I did not bring a piece of mail with a matching address on it. I brought my government issued drivers license, which as an out of state UW student the address on my license is not my Madison address. They would not accept an electronic receipt for something with my WI address on it from my smart phone because electronic documents can be altered. The door tag instructions said that the name on the ID and the package should match. It said nothing about the address. The clerk told me I could schedule a hold for pick up at an alternate location closer to my home and they gave me the corporate number. So on the drive back I called corporate and asked if I could pick up my package elsewhere. Corporate told me that my package was at the Kinsman location. Corporate then called this location and spoke to the clerk there, the clerk confirmed the package was there even though he told me it was with the courier and said the same thing about needing a piece of mail. Corporate said that they should have accepted my ID to be able to pick up the package. So, this location has made up its own rules that corporate does not back or require, and I was not able to get my package even though I provided the correct documents. I do not have time to drive across town AGAIN today after getting a piece of mail for them, and now I have to wait until Monday. Very inconvenient and bad customer service! This is why I avoid FedEx as much as possible.
In general I have found FedEx to be competent...when all things go well. I understand weather is a key element but when it interferes with delivery they seem unable/unwilling to be helpful in finding out where/what is happening with your package. Today I had a package scheduled for delivery by 10:30 a.m. But it is sitting at the Shipping Center because we had ice on roads this a.m. The temperature is 40 degrees and has been above freezing since 10 a.m. At 3 p.m. I called to see if I could pick it up myself. Was told it would take 2 hours to locate it and they would call me back. I asked if they still planned to make delivery today and he said no, I dont see that it is scheduled to get on a truck at all today. Delivery folks are always polite and apologetic, but the service personnel on phone/at centers are not helpful.
Super disappointed with this location and their service. I run a business that receives packages that are time sensitive. We opt for 1-2 day turn around depending on customer situations. We specify a time to deliver, 10am. we open at 11.. The driver continually attempts to deliver that package at 8:30 even though we stated on the package and in their system that we dont open till 10am. So dude usually has to come back around 4pm and hes always bothered by the situation. So he gave me a stack of Fedex cards that instruct the delivery person to leave the package. I just have to leave it out the night before.. I did and still the package wasnt delivered. Whats the point on paying $40-60 dollars in shipping if the basic directions cant be followed. Lady at the counter said we should open out business 2hrs earlier to resolve the issue!?!?! Really, how about following the instructions on the damn package like UPS and Speedy and every other shipping company I work with does. Im going to beg my supplier to change from Fedex to anyone else.

I use many FedEx locations nation wide and this location is no worse that any other, in fact the staff are very friendly and outgoing. I shipped packages International from here 4 or 5 times in the past week. I dont think the poor reviews on this location are accurate

For the Kinsman Blvd. location: had a bit of an issue with a package that they tried to send back to sender. The lady I spoke with was not able to track it and asked her supervisor (I believe his name is Dan?) who was incredibly rude to her and told her to do it herself. When she explained she couldnt, again he was incredibly rude to her and said he didnt have time to do it. Perhaps Dan should be transferred to a location where there are no other people...

Unprofessional service. They left a note saying that there will not be a second delivery and we should go in person and pick up our package from this location. I had to leave my office next business day and go all the way to there. But surprisingly, they have attempted a second delivery at the same time!!! And they gave the package to someone else from another floor in our apartment.

1 star is generous! Every time they claim my address is wrong but its not. UPS and USPS get it correct every time with the same information.
Absolute worst customer service Ive encountered anywhere. Even USPS is more reliable than this branch. Ive had at least 5 packages delivered by them, and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have had to drive across town to pick it up myself. I dont know why they even bother with the trucks.
I ordered some stuff in the same order. I got 3 packages. 2 got sent UPS, up to date information and delivery the next day. 1 got sent FedEx. It has been a week and I still dont have my package. I go to track package and all it says is that it was in California a week ago. I emailed them and they said they dont know where it is and it should be delivered 8am to 9pm Tuesday through Saturday. So I dont have my stuff and I dont have any idea where it is or when to expect it.
Ive found the folks at this shipping center to be polite and helpful, professional and friendly. I give this center five stars!

Waiting for delivery from 2 days and now driver canceled for weather delay after i sat all around waiting all day, no weather, roads clear, USPS was delivering no problem . FedEx customer service chat was no help at all, just basically said sorry . Fed ex is lazy greedy and imcompetent, they are just letting my package sit in its warehouse 20 miles from my house because their commitment isnβt until Monday now because of weather

So if you have a question that might affect the service you will receive at the shipping center, you CANT ASK IT UNTIL YOU ARE THERE! Awesome scenario if you are told that you need to go all the way back home and back to retrieve something that they need (like the original sticky note).Morons.
They dont attempt to make a delivery, mark the delivery as no one home, and just move the delivery date to an arbitrary date. Why any business would use FedEx? Dont order from bestbuy as they use fedex.

Worst experience with a shipping company. Tags were incomplete as to not allow a signature drop off. Online resources were changed to have items dropped off. No luck. One week required for a 3 day delivery. Im calling my phone (that Im still waiting for) Wilson. Go Brown.
I ordered a textbook and had it delivered but was not home at the time. I got home, saw the door tag, and asked my husband to pick it up since it was on the way home. I called ahead to speak with them to see if my husband would be able to pick it up. They were making it EXTREMELY difficult for me have him pick it up because he was already on his way. They were SUGGESTING that I could have take the door tag off someone elses door. I told the specialist that, Well, I could give you the tracking number. Then she stated, Well that door tag number is associated with a tracking number. I then proceeded to tell her that, Well its my item I ordered, and Im having my husband pick it up. Ill give you his information so when he comes to pick it up, it will match mine that I gave. She then states, Well I cant do that. Its really ridiculous that she treated me like that. SERIOUSLY?! He needs to have either the same last name as me or the same address as me. FIRST OF ALL, in my culture, we dont have to change our damn last name to match our husbands. SECOND OF ALL, we just moved recently and have NOT had time to change our address yet nor is our current location a permanent address for us. We will no longer be at this location after 7 months! Therefore we will not waste money to change our address JUST SO we can pickup something. And LASTLY, WHO THE HELL WANTS TO STEAL A DAMN TEXTBOOK?!
DO NOT USE FED EX. I requested to hold my package at this location after they decided not to deliver my order because of the recent weather. Not only did they not notify me of their decision until an hour before they closed that day but when I went to pick it up the next day, they seemed to have βmisplacedβ it. I waited around in there for a solid 45 minutes while they tried to locate my package only for the man behind the front desk to say βwe can call youβ. (They never did...) Out of the dozens of staff that were in there, only one woman seemed to actually care about finding it... Because of their mishap I had to wait another extra day for them to find it and make it available for pick up. I also had to pick it up from a Walgreens I never asked them to ship it to. There is definitely a lack of communication at this location and the man behind the front desk, I think his name was Dan, seemed too lazy to care about whether I got my package on time or not. I get that weather can mess things up but this was a complete nightmare to deal with and I will not be using fed ex anytime soon. Not to mention their customer service line is completely useless and will only tell you what you can already see on their website when you enter in your tracking number.
Driver failed to ring our apartment while we were at home waiting for a package to arrive. We check our door later to find a note saying they tried to deliver to our neighbor, but never bother to ring us, then they updated our package saying no one answered.FedEx is terrible in Madison.

Recently had an overnight package shipped. They didnt even bother to attempt a delivery to my residence (of no fault of mine) and refused to send someone out the same day with the package. I will not be shipping Fedex here in Madison again. I really needed that package.

Edit: In retrospect, FedEx was likely following their own protocols when it comes to dropping off parcels at apartment buildings; however, our USPS and UPS parcel delivery ALWAYS leaves items inside of the building in the mail area unless they are specifically directed to do otherwise. So, comparatively, FedEx is providing a far worse service to their customers when you consider the alternatives. See below for original review and context.I left a note at the front door of my apartment building requesting that the carrier come to my room directly so I could sign upon receipt of the parcel (that was overnighted for nearly $100). The carrier removed my note and left a door tag at the front of the building without attempting to knock on my door. Does FedEx seriously expect customers that live in apartments who have Direct Signature Required parcels to literally wait at the front of the building for the carrier to arrive? What an absolute farce. Im going to have to wait until after work (need the parcel for work) to drive directly to the FedEx location to pick up the parcel. 0/10 wouldnt recommend
I may never use Fed Ex again. Buyer beware when you use Fed Ex. I bought 3 day ground shipping and was at work when they delivered my package. I called and asked if I could have the package held at the Fed Ex center and they refuesed and told me they have to make 3 attempts before they will hold the package. This item, I needed immediately, and the shipment was fast, but because I work a day job, and was not home, they would NOT hold the shipment at the Fed Ex station, which coincidentally is directly across the street from where I work. I will attempt to go directly to the station and see if they will try and actually help and let me pick up my package. If not, they are going to lose a customer and I will make sure that I let my friends and family know to never ship Fed Ex Ground, due to the issues Ive had with a very important pacel.
