Found my new local go-to. All the staff is great, prices are very reasonable for services, and you just feel welcome when youre there. Will continue to purchase and transfer through C&R for as long as theyll let me.

I live in NJ and could not bring my dads rifle into the state because of regs. After spending time looking for a reputable firearms shop in VA to consign his rifle, I decided to do business with C & R. Being unfamiliar with the shop and being from out of state was a bit unsettling. However, from the time I first walked into the shop, Steven, one of the salespeople, put my mind at ease. We had spoken on the phone about bringing my dads rifle in and set up an appt. He took a good look at the rifle, did the paperwork and I was on my way back to NJ. I called several times to inquire as to the progress. And each time was greeted courteously. The rifle sold within the contracted time with a lot of work by Steven. And while selling my dads rifle was bitter sweet, I was able to purchase a rifle that is legal in NJ that myself and my boys can enjoy. Thanks Dad. I had a 115 year old Remington Model 8 rifle that needed new wood stocks. Many gunsmiths are not comfortable working with older firearms with wood stocks since modern firearms dont use wood. Dan the Gunsmith did an incredible job fitting and finishing a new stock onto this old rifle. I am very happy with the work! Thanks Dan!!! She is gorgeous!!

Great gun shop! And I mean in all aspects. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with respect and kind faces. I had a few questions being that I was coming from out of state and every question I had was answered extensively and in detail. Prices are great! 👍🏾, gun selection was great they even offered me some gunsmith service for free! With the purchase of my firearm. Very welcoming vibe from all staff members they make you feel at home and they’re all very knowledgeable. definitely a go to! I drive an hour and some change to get there coming from MD just for the service !

I have purchased from C&R many times, and have mostly been satisfied.Had a back ordered gun part from C&R from mfr which never arrived (long backorder), C&R offered a refund so I accepted. This did happen but took a long time to get but I was eventually made whole.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating.I gave three stars because they told me it would be $20 for a private sale transfer on the phone and when I got there 3 days later they charged me $30.Considering I brought two new customers through their door, they shouldve honored what was mentioned on the phone. Getting people in the door is the hard part. Feels like a disservice to increase the price for the same amount of work they are doing compared to a regular FFL transfer.

Extremely pleased with my build from C&R firearms. Jim is a great gunsmith. I highly recommend them for any work that needs to be done.FYI - Target is 7 shots at 100y. It would have been much better grouping with a more experienced precision rifle shooter. Federal 175 SMK..

I had done business with an excellent gun shop in south Manassas for many years. About two years ago it changed ownership, and the ensuing results in terms of customer service were quite disappointing. Today I visited C & R Guns on Balls Ford Rd., near I-66, for the purpose of selling a firearm.From the time I walked in to the store, until concluding the sale, every discussion and sales-related action was absolutely first rate. The gentlemanly behavior of every employee I dealt with reflected concern for the customer and fairness in conducting the transaction. Best place to get firearms around. I’ve been to many places and I will tell you.. You will never find any staff as professional and courteous as them. Other shops are normally rude and not willing to work with you. Leon has been my main go to. If you want good prices and hassle free transactions they are always willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Thank you C&R!

They store staff was very friendly,helpful, and welcoming. I was a first time gun buyer going in and they explained everything and made it as easy a process as possible. Would definitely recommend this shop to others.

Initially, the staff at C&R Firearms failed to send a copy of their FFL to my seller after they agreed to do so on the phone, causing a week long delay. (I had to remind them via email)When I arrived today to retrieve my firearm, the staff presents the appearance they are unknowledgeable of how to utilize the software for processing the background checks causing the process, which usually takes fifteen minutes to last one hour and nine minutes. So if you value your time, I would suggest going elsewhere or wait a few months until they get all their bugs worked out.Side note: Inventory was minuscule, and pricing was relatively high on their firearms and accessories.

I came in for my sight rail to be torqued and to install a charging handle, to which the staff were willing and helpful of my needs. C&R Firearms offer an awesome selection of quality guns without overduing it. They also recently opened a greater portion of their back-store showcasing neat firearms! Respectful and curt, they will for sure be my go-to guys.

This is seriously an amazing place. The shop is immaculate, clean, and they’re always adding more inventory. Paul and Caleb are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met, not just in the firearms industry but in general. Truly worth the five stars.

We finally have a world-class gunsmith (Jim Carollo) in northern VA who is second to none and is also a pleasure to work with! In the past 40+ years I have used a handful of nationally recognized and revered gunsmiths because I do not let just ANY body work on my firearms. But that meant that I had to ship my weapons for repair or modifications. And we ALL know what a pain that is! Jim gets all my gunsmith jobs now!

Awesome shop with the best gunsmith on the east coast. The level of quality work that Jim puts out is amazing. From custom 1911s to fixing my grandfathers old Smith and Wesson. Great that he now has a new shop. We are lucky to have this level of skill in the area.

Needed unique revolver worked on, special set of sights, and refinish. Took a bit of time to find the rib, but it was worth it...perfect job! Could not think of going elsewhere when I next need gunsmithing support.

Most of us follow ridiculously good gunsmiths like groupies. Im assuming most of Jims customers will do the same. There are plenty of armorers in the area, but as far as gunsmiths go, Jim is at the top of the list. I stopped sending my projects out years ago and only let Jim work on my guns. Couple that with the new shop, which also deals in high end firearms and exotics, this place is sure to be on the map. Great location, great people, great guns, and the best gunsmith for miles and miles.....you cant go wrong.

Ive had a lot of bad luck with looking for a good shotgun to use in hunting, primarily for turkey. In some cases the guns were all too long for my short t rex arms. Or had to be special ordered and just not my style without getting too expensive for my budget. I knew what I wanted, and I prefer used because I know the gun works. One place completely ignored me, talking instead to my fiance even though I was the customer and he kept telling them to ask me (I wontsay the name but those who shopped around north VA probably know it). We passed this place and thought why the hell not try? We turned around, parked and went in. They were a new place, still rennovating the shop. The staff was only two at the time but were very friendly despite us bringing along our one year old son. When I mentioned my upset over looking for a shotgun, they asked what my specifics were. Almost immediately one went to a glass turntable case and pulled out a nice used Remmington 870. It shouldered perfectly for my tiny little arms, was the right gauge, and wasnt a composite stock but full wood. It was pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a gun, not heavy at all. We decided that was it, search over, and bought it on the spot. They didnt mind me wandering with my son to entertain him while we waited to clear the check and do up paperwork. They even gave him a small foam ball to toss and chase that he could keep. Since then weve always given them our business first, even if its through ordering a gun to be shipped to them or ammo.

Took an incomplete rifle build in to them. They finished it and test-fired it by the end of the day. Great prices and passionate employees. Definitely going to be my go to place from now on.

Went to C&R today for the first time and what a great place. Talked with Mark Warner and Paul Hitchcock, they have my business. Sold me a FN 509 Tactical for a great price. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Selling of guns is secondary to what they do best, gun smithing. Have a lot of nice guns for very good prices.
