My son and I completed the Basic Pistol course with Tom Brown. Excellent instructor and the price was reasonable. Sufficient time on the range for a new shooter and Tom kept the classroom info relevant and interesting. Would recommend and plan on taking another course from Tom.
My girlfriend and myself went here a few weeks ago to use the range and just happened to look around and I found a handgun I liked and the employees made it super easy and super quick. I was able to use it 30 min later on the range. (She already carries a Ruger 9mm so we were both able to shoot at the same time.) We definitely want to come back just having a hard time finding ammo that doesnt cost 50 bucks for a box of 50.
Its been a while since Ive visited the range, I went with a friend whos a first time shooter and had a great time. Our range officer was very cool, as all the staff we interacted with. Im hoping to go again before the end of the year.
Apparently other states laws apply at this store. Sadly standard you cant take this class until you take the others style of lackluster training. Pretty obvious they profit off new shooters who simply dont know any better. Ok selection, but much better choices in the area more focused on freedom than $.
Disappointed with the policies only able to buy 1 box of overpriced ammo per rental. The range was nice and our range safety officer was great. We rented 2 lanes for a event and they only would sell me one box of ammo per firearm we rented which is completely unacceptable for a group. Was told it was due to the ammo shortage, I understand about the short ammo but i offered to use the new sealed boxes of ammo I had and that was not allowed.
Very nice range! The guy working the range to ensure safety and help people talks waaaaaay to much. Other than that would have been a perfect visit would definitely drop by again if in the area.
Went down today to shoot a few different compact pistols and to settle on one to buy. I paid for an instructor to teach my girlfriend and myself and to familiarize myself with the range - this was a good choice. Our instructor Jake was very professional and knowledgeable. Patient with out questions and was able to assist us both in our different skill levels. When buying we were help by TJ. He was also knowledgeable and took his time with me in answering my never ending list of questions.TL;DR knowledgeable staff, friendly atmosphere, well equipped range. Look forward to going again.
Cannot recommend this place enough. My girlfriend and I are new gun owners, and we began with taking a few courses with instructor Thomas Brown. The courses were so great that I immediately purchased a membership. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was late for my lane reservation on the busiest night of the week and they still got us a lane. Our experience at this range so far has been the absolute best.
I have now been a member at The Manchester Firing Line for a few months and I have to say, out of any gun range I have been to in the state of NH, this is by far the best in terms of gun education, safety, and friendliness, as well as gun selection for rentals and purchases.I recently bought a red dot for my firearm and the staff went above and beyond to help me get it installed perfectly and also sighted in to the best of its ability.Every time I go I am greeted very friendly and I have also built decent relationships with a lot of the staff. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner during one of my visits and he helped me trade in my firearm for another. He gave me an excellent deal just because he heard I came in a lot. What a great guy, super helpful in the selection process for I love my new G45 pistol.Cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are a beginner in gun experience, Manchester Firing Line will certainty make you feel extremely comfortable and also keep you alert on important safety info.I’d like to thank Manchester Firing line for helping me in trying to perfect my shot, regardless of the firearm I am using. Since I first starting coming here I have been giving excellent tips, that I have not found anywhere online, for proper technique and accuracy, that have been of the upmost benefit to me.-Max
Ive been a customer and member of the MFL for a few months now and I couldnt be more pleased. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable and the facility is kept clean and operated with safety as a top priority. If youre thinking about purchasing your first fire-arm and would like to become more knowledgeable in fire-arm safety and handling, the classes offered at the MFL are top-notch., With his many years of experience, Thomas Brown is a fantastic instructor bringing insightful knowledge and real-world cases to the classroom. I highly recommend the MFL to both novices and professionals alike.
In August I took a 6-hour Basic Pistol training class over two days with Thomas Brown. I came into the class as a fumbling noob (Im still a fumbling noob) but along the way it reinforced how to handle a gun safely and locate my rounds within a 5 circumference at 50 feet. Thats nothing to write home about, but as a nervous noobie I felt pretty good. There was a lot of hands-on safety training before getting to the range. The in-class material was informative and prompted great interactive discussions with the class and instructor. The time on the range was also well spent, free-time with your own firearm before hopping from weapon to weapon so that each person got to fire a different caliber and style of gun.I recommend this course for any first time handgun owners or potential buyers who want to know is this for me?One other nice thing - at the end of the course there was no pressure to buy an MFL annual membership or any other up-selling of products on my way out the door. Simply check-out when the course is finished, and have a nice day. Sounds simple, but I thought that was a positive to note in my review.
I had a great experience with Dan. Being inexperienced, he took his time, was very explicit in gun safety and great weapon communication skills. Very professional!! The whole team was very courteous and hey! Would definitely go again and recommend anyone who wants a good experience to go.
A+++ Customer service, huge selection of weapons from historic to modern ones, well stocked and organized, very friendly staff, and they sell about anything gun related. The place is great and I would choose it over any range in massachusetts or new hampshire. Best experience Ive ever had in years and Ill definitely become a member ans bring my friends over. Thank you guys!💯
Thank you for providing the Intro to Gun Ownership Seminar!! I took the class with Thomas and it was fantastic! I wish more places would offer this class. Anyone new to owning a gun or even just new to the area to learn local rules could really benefit from this class. I am looking forward to taking more classes and using the range.
The facility itself is good, lots of guns on display in a glass case in the center and plenty more on the wall. Staff are nice and friendly even if you dont have any experience they are willing to help. The range is nice as well, good target sender/retriever system and very nice range officers who will help you with anything. First time I was there with some friends a friend hit the target carrier, officer came over and said the policy is that those hits have a fine since the equipment is expensive but dont do it again and everything is fine. When there by myself I had one offer me some help to shoot more accurately. Lastly they offer a free intro to gun ownership class that I highly recommend.
For a larger gun store I was concerned that this place was going to have an impersonal feel. This concern was untrue.Tonight my gf bought her first gun, she was able to do it without my help, so Im assuming they walked her through the process. After purchasing the gun she joined me in the firing range and got to shoot it that night. On the range the RSO was friendly yet still enforced safety rules like eyes an ears. When leaving one of the salesman remembered I was looking for stripped lowers and told me some came in stock.During this my gf was able to get her new gun engraved. All in all a great experience.
Great experience today ! Can’t wait to go back! I came with my mother in law today.
Attended the Intro to Gun Ownership Seminar, that Manchester Firing Line has graciously offered the public at no cost, with my wife and 10 year old son. This seminar far exceeded my expectations by delving into some of the finer points of firearm safety and explaining the complexity of the liabilities associated with gun ownership today. The similarities and differences of the laws and handling thereof of the different states, especially those surrounding NH was very enlightening. The instructor was very welcoming of all questions and I dont believe anyone in attendance was left dissatisfied.Thank you Manchester Firing Line for providing this service to our community!- Curtis Boyden
Very convenient place and good staff but most ammo and gun purchases are overpriced but the range is well kept. The selection to rent a firearm is good, but expensive for some picks. Overall great place I still highly recommend.
My instructor was fantastic. His knowledge, professionalism and safety techniques made the experience an enjoyable one. This will soon become my home range.Really appreciate the 1 on 1 instruction.Looking forward to embarking on a new hobby.
Knowledgeable workers to help you in choosing the right gun. But as accommodating for non members. Members however get parking spaces, reserve lanes, discounts on rentals etc. But very professional and safety conscious. Average cost for 1 hour of shooting with a sig Sauer 2022 and 1 box of ammo was about $43.
One week ago, I took the 11 hour Personal Protection in the home class. It was such an amazing experience, having ZERO knowledge i left the class feeling comfortable handling a firearm. Tom is a fantastic teacher. Knowledgeable, patient and has a great sense of humor. I definitely recommend this class for anyone who is interested in self defense!
Finished PPOTH Training with Tom Brown. Once again Im coming away with more knowledge and training than you just cant put a price on. Not only was the class and range time helpful in repetition. Tom makes you push yourself outside your comfort zone. Practicing things you are good at does not make you a better shooter. Pushing yourself to the limit lets you establish the point in which you need to practice so you can a faster and more efficient shooter. Having someone as down to earth as Instructor Tom makes the entire experience that much more enjoyable. If you are a first time shooter, extremely skilled and or have never picked up a firearm, Toms classes are for you. Reach out to their wonderful staff or owner if you have even the smallest question. They are there to help you, minus the snobby gun owner BS ;-).A++++ Must do training from Tom Brown!!! Dont wait, sign up for your class now. Thanks Tom, for everything!
I really appreciate the fact that the owner here is hiring an excellent instructor and offering FREE seminars. I’ve already signed up for a class and will continue to sign up accordingly. The range was busy this past Sunday and since I am a non member I had to wait 20 minutes to get on. The past two times I went in the last 2-3 weeks it wasn’t as busy. The staff here is a well oiled machine. So I’m appreciative of what the owner is doing here and all the employees that keep it safe and educational.
The MFL range is hi-tech and supervised in a professional and extremely safe fashion. As a member, I have also received personal one-on-one attention that includes everything from safety habits, tips on marksmanship and to even receiving help zeroing in a red dot scope.I have also purchased several firearms from them and received professional advice and helpful insight re the pros and cons of various choices. I’ve even taken advantage of their unique laser “tattoo” engraving offered on a Benchmade knife that I purchased. The engraver is an absolute artist!I also recently completed their Personal Protection Inside The Home (PPITH) training. I completely enjoyed the training and the course content. As a former police officer in Southern California, and being aware of both the psychological and legal implications of using deadly force, I thought the instructor’s (Tom Brown) training insight was extremely helpful - not only for someone new to self-defense and the use of deadly force, but to a former law enforcement professional needing a refresher.I particularly enjoyed his method of communicating that was not tainted with political correctness or sugarcoating. Personal protection, and in particular, the use of deadly force, is nothing to treat lightly, and students should be made aware of the sobering reality of choices, tactics, and consequences. His expertise, background, and no nonsense approach to teaching delivered that message perfectly.I enjoyed the training so much that I am looking forward to the upcoming training for personal protection outside the home, and I’m excited to hear more of his insight to help me be a more responsible firearms owner and concealed carry permit holder.
I go here at least twice a month. Have been since I turned 18. I always typically have a nice time, it helps that all the range staff know me Haha. The prices are a little high but if you own your own firearms its not too bad. I dont recommend large groups go here unless you wanna go all out. While it can be annoying having the range officers behind you all the time, they are just being very observant and are only doing their jobs to ensure everyone is safe. Overall I would recommend!
Such an amazing staff and a great, safe range. Employees are friendly and helpful. Been coming here for many years and will be going back for many years to come. Great selection of rentals and ammo and items for purchase. Amy, Brian, and Brandon seem to be the employees I am always running into there and they couldnt be a more terrific bunch!! Friendly helpful people like that make this play a joy to go shoot at!!
My first time going to a Firing range in Manchester NH, And let me tell you.. The best experience. My brother and i visited here. Everyone staffed at this location was super friendly and answered all my questions and boy did I have lots. Thanks for this team that gave me such an awesome experience.
Great range and store with helpful folks and good prices, they also offer on-site lazer engraving.Im new to NH and planning on getting a membership here next year, Belmont is closer but its worth the drive to me.
Took the NRA PPTIH course with instructor Tom. Lets just say I will be continuing my education/training with Tom and his team. Not only was the class knowledge a great refresher but the training on the range was well worth it on its own. Our 14 person class ranged from early beginner to well trained. Toms method makes it fun for everyone. Youre not out of your league if youve never shot before and its not lacking if you shoot all the time.I am an avid weekly shooter and I would recommend this class and all the others they offer. You can never have enough knowledge/training when it comes to firearms.Would like to end this with a much deserved Thank You to Tom and his staff for giving me the information and training we each need frequently.Keep up the amazing work Tom!Steve M.
I LOVE this range!! I cannot say it enough. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially to the new shooter/gun owner like me, and they offer so many awesome classes! I have taken Basic Pistol and NRA Personal Protection In The Home, and have already signed up for their Practical Handgun Clinic. I came into those classes only having shot a gun one time about 10 years ago, but otherwise knowing nothing about guns, and I have come out of it feeling like I have a fantastic foundation that I am continually building on (with the help of Tom and the staff!). Tom, who teaches the classes, is super knowledgeable and knows how to break it down for the beginner, but also caters to the advanced shooter as well! He sets up great drills to practice on the range and is always willing to help everybody no matter what the issue is. His number one is safety both on the range and off, and makes sure every student feels safe and leaves class knowing how to be safe at home.Although obviously my favorite part was the live-fire portion of the classes on the range, the classroom portion is still enjoyable as well as informative! He makes it fun and it really flies by!I have loved every minute of being here, so I became a member of MFL and I try to go at least once or twice a week to practice and get better and just spend time with some amazing people. The cost is very affordable, as well. I 1000% recommend MFL and their classes for anyone looking either to get into being a gun owner and wanting to know how to safely do so or even just for seasoned shooters looking for an amazing range to shoot at!
Went to the firing line for the first time today with my father. Paid for the instructor Brian to help us out. He was extremely nice and informative. Made our experience great and we plan on coming back this weekend. Highly recommend and Brian was excellent.
My husband is a member here and we LOVE it! We are always greeted by friendly staff and the ROs are professional and keep everyone safe. We had taken a basic pistol course with Tom and he is fantastic. I cant wait to attend more classes. Great place for women shooters too. 😊
I attended the Intro to gun ownership seminar run by Mr. Brown. It was very informative and held my interest. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and I learned a lot more than I expected. After the class we browsed the store and were courteously approached by employees offering assistance. My overall impression is the establishment is very professionally run.
Had an outstanding experience. Brought my wife and 2 teenage kids out, none had experience with firearms in any capacity. My wife was scared to death at first. The instructor and staff all did amazing. My wife and kids had an absolute blast and now cant wait to do it again!!
Ive shot at this place multiple times and if you go here to use the range be warned its hit and miss. Ive had good experience with some of the staff there and others are range nazis that are just waiting for you to do the slightest thing and if you dont do anything they will find it and be very disrespectful. After my second and last incident I will no longer go there again. I can pay the same for a bigger and nicer gun range elsewhere and shoot in peace.
Nice place. Jim was of great help
Attended the Basic Pistol Class and found it very informative. Tom did a great job training, answering questions and it was a good pace for all in the class. Thank you!
Everything was great as i brought my relatives from ireland, and they were very happy with the service.we stayed for about 3 hours and rented an AK_47 7.62 and an AR 5.56 and I bought rounds for my hand guns, the ammo i thought was a little expensive. I am from MA and get the ammo much cheaper in MA.one other thing there was no receipts given to us for any purchase and we were not asked if we wanted one.it was on the way home we realized the fact that no receipts were given??however Manchester Firing line is a great place to go, safety is first and the range itself was greatthank you
Just a great place overall. Instructors are fantastic.
My 17 yo son and I had a fantastic experience! We rented a 9mm pistol and an AR-15, and had an amazing time shooting both. The range was not very busy since it was Mon., but the staff was nice enough to put us on the member’s side since a group of tourists was busy on the public side. This was a wonderful gesture, and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommended.
I came to check out the laser engraving and could not have been more impressed. I spoke with Brandon, the laser engraving specialist, and he was very polite. I dont know a lot about guns or what the engraving process is like, but Brandon was able to explain everything in such a way that everything made sense and I left feeling confident.
I love going to Manchester Firing line. Their staff is knowledgable and everyone is great to work with. Amy is an awesome firearm instructor and I highly recommend her. Definitely worth it!
Just completed MFL Basic Pistol class with Thomas Brown. Great experience all the way around. I appreciated the attention to correct handling of firearms yet Tom kept the class engaging and enjoyable at the same time. I will definitely be continuing as a patron of MFL due to his instruction.
I took the Basic Pistol Course with Thomas Brown. The class was great, I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Tom was a great instructor and didnt make the class feel boring or intimidating. I cant wait to take another class.
I have gone to this range about 4 times now when weather is bad or cold. I have never had a issue. Range officers are always great and talk to you. On one occasion I for forgot my speed loader and the range officer let me borrow one which was awesome. Today when I went i dealt with i think one of the owners at the counter cashing out and had a great conversation as always. Will definitely go back and think about getting a membership ship.
Great range, very clean, great ventilation, and friendly staff. Amy always helps us out and my brother and I ended up grabbing a membership last week. Would highly recommend this place!
Instructor was great staff was really friendly and helpful wife and I took a class together there great experience
Awesome afternoon at Manchester Firing Line, Michelle showed me the basics of handling Marie and was very helpful when I had any questions. Being a newcomer to this experience, the range was very safe, clean, and welcoming. We will be back for more in the future.
Were members here. Its an inclusive environment and I appreciate that. Amy is our favorite RSO and has become a great friend. She always helps to educate me, as I am a new firearm owner and enthusiast.
Excellent facility, clean and organized. Highly skilled trainers especially Amy who I had the pleasure of taking a lesson with.Would recommend both the range and Amy.
The Basic Pistol class was exactly what I needed. I am new to gun ownership and this was a great introduction to the various laws and practical safety and handling lessons. During range time, we shot several different guns which was very helpful. Thomas is an excellent instructor and delivered a lot of information in a fast-paced manner which kept your attention. He provided many real-life examples and very helpful tips on shooting and the different types of guns. There was a lot of hands on activities with different guns. Highly recommended class.
After taking the NFL basic class. I am feeling confident aware of the importance of a structured learning about firearms. Instructor Brown kept it informative and lively with an emphasis on safety. I would highly recommend this course and instructor.
Great place to go shooting on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of safe fun for the family. Amy at the front desk will take good care of you.
Tom Browns Advanced Concealed Carry class was beyond excellent. Tom is a talented, skilled instructor, and has the ability to open your mind to new experiences and understandings. Hes safe, strict, but completely supportive.Highly recommended. The Manchester range is clean, well maintained, and staffed by friendly, professional staffers.
My wife and I just completed our third class with Tom. The Personal Protection Outside the Home was very informative. There was a good balance between class and range time. As usual, Tom reviews and stresses safety and the laws relative to carrying and protecting yourself outside the home. The range time was spent practicing moving, shooting from cover, shooting while falling back, etc. Skills acquired in previous classes are further refined in this class. As usual, we very much recommend any of Tom’s classes.
The free intro course to gun ownership is very helpful and appreciated. The NRA Personal protection in the Home Class and the basic pistol course were great as well.
Friendly people, nice facility, always enjoy going here.
Great service, professional staff, kids, hubby and myself enjoy the range every time :)
Havent been here in awhile since I live about 1hr10min away and Im a member to a club near my home, but have been here multiple times even when they were at their original location. Each time Ive had nothing less than an excellent experience. Bobs in Salisbury is 30 minutes less of a drive to go to however I always insist to my friends and family we drive to MFR. The facility is spotless, well maintained, well managed, safe, and all around PROFESSIONAL, exactly how a place that rents firearms to the public should be! See you guys again soon whenever Im in the area!
I just completed the TACTICAL RIFLE CLASS with Tom Brown. This was my second class with him and I was not disappointed. It was 4 hours of all range time and the best way to describe it is FUN! Tom does a great job of keeping everyone safe while learning very important skills. There were the basics of proper safety control and optic off set, as well as moving target acquisition in low light conditions and, my personnel favorite, transitioning from rifle to sidearm while moving towards a target. I would recommend this class to everyone that wants to learn more about the capabilities of their rifle or just have FUN!Steve GoldfieldBolton Vermont
I started going to MFL less than a year ago. After a few visits I decided to pay the $190 for membership. I took my daughter to the range. We had a great time. The range is well lit, well ventilated and safe. Each booth is separated from the adjoining booth with steel plates to make them bullet proof. The front area is also well lit, they have many firearms for rent. A good collection of ammo in case you run a little low. Prices are a little high but not unreasonable for what they are.I paid for personal instruction for myself and then for my youngest daughter. Amy provided that PI and it was amazing. The amount of improvement Ive seen in myself and in my daughter as a direct result of Amys instruction is mind blowing.Quality and style of instruction varies greatly depending on the instructor you get. All of the instructors are competent. I feel that Amy stands head and shoulders above the other instructors in her ability to observe, detect, communicate and instruct shooters, from beginner to experienced. Make sure you ask for the Best when you are there, ask for Amy. There is almost never a good reason to settle.(This review was edited based on private and public feedback from the owner. Any negative public comments on this review from the owner are addressed to the previous version.)
Just shot here for the first time yesterday, it was a very great range with a full veteran owned and operated business. Being a veteran myself, its great to be around like minded people and the passion for weapons. They have a great variety of weapons to rent out if you need a weapon to test. Great service, friendly staff and I shall make this my new home range
I’ve had the pleasure of taking many one on one training classes, Amy is by far my favorite instructor that I’ve worked with. She is hands on but also knows when to step back and let you practice and learn. If you’re thinking about sharpening your skills, I highly recommend seeing Amy next time you’re at the range.
Just finished the Protection in the Home class with Tom Brown and it was great. He is a great instructor, adding humor with real life experiences. His techniques for teaching classes is a hands-on style with interactive lectures as well. Great class and looking forward to the next one. Great job Tom!
Went there with my father tonight, had very fun time. In the beginning, I have a little nervous after reading the reviews online about some stuffs there very rude. But by my experience, the employees are very nice and friendly, also very helpful. Definitely recommend this place, and we will go again soon.
Definitely a great facility. I have been here a handful of times to shoot, and each time has been a pleasure. Sometimes there is a long wait time, and sometimes I get lucky and have no wait. Just depends on the time of day. I am not a member so I dont get the privilege of using the members lane (really the only thing stopping me from getting a membership is my lack of time to shoot on a regular schedule). One thing I can speak of is the gunsmith service. They have a guy on-site who works on Glock firearms (they are popular, but not my type). I have a Sig and had brought it in one day, and they told me to email their dedicated gunsmith who is a guy who comes by once a week to pickup and drop off firearms he is working on. I had them install some sights on my Sig and it came out great. Mind you, I did not buy the gun or sights there - so I think it is really a convenient service for anyone. It would be nice if you guys had someone on-site to work on Sig handguns (my understanding is they are pretty popular around here, with all of the Sig related stuff in NH already). I havent been in to shoot here in almost a year, so that may have changed. Need to stop by again sometime soon.Cheers.
As an employee of MFL I’ve been able to observe Tom’s courses many times. I took Tom’s NRA Personal protection in the Home Class for two reasons; be able to get my Mass LTC and better relay to our customers information about Tom’s courses. Tom has a long-standing reputation in firearms training and experiencing. Myself, coming from a background of law enforcement and military training, I felt refreshed and updated. You know the saying, “You can’t teach and old dog new tricks”? Well this old dog learned a few new things from Tom. His engagement is friendly and tailored to each person with the goal of making you feel comfortable with firearms, getting you on target with accurate shooting, and providing confidence in the use of force if ever needed. For anyone who has a firearm for self defense, whether you plan to carry, already carry, or it is just for home protection, Toms NRA Personal protection in the Home Class course is a must.
My friends took me there this weekend for my bachelor party. We had a great time. As with any gun range that you are not a member of, there is a bit of a check in process. However, the staff was friendly and moved us right through. The facility is large and well maintained. Everything is very state of the art. The best part is the large range of full auto rentals they have. We rented the M4 SBR, man it was awesome. Would love to go back, worth the trip all the way from Cape Cod!
The people are okay, but trying to get them to send an FFL form is like pulling teeth. They never respond to messages. I got the email from the owners wife to have them email the FFL forms and never got them. Had to resort to finding another FFL.
Not a good range. After we waited for 30 min for a lane, more than half the member lanes were open with many people still waiting. Only 8 public lanes, the other 8 are members only. Had a group of 5 and told us we werent allowed to take 2 lanes at once when we had multiple guns per each person. I had one employee that was helpful with one of my firearms as it was an antique that I inherited. Kudos to that guy. Overpriced for what it is, also how long you are charged for staying there is variable depending on the person. You might get over charged or under charged. Take your chances I guess.EDIT.... Editing this review because the owner and said my review was inaccurate and I cant comment on his response. My review was the experience that I had there and who is he to say it wasnt because he wasnt the employees I dealt with. Maybe he should keep a better eye on his employees.
I’ve wanted to do some rental shooting for months. Drove up from the Cape to rent and do the private instruction course for an hour before I went to a concert nearby. Smoked a cigarette with another group before heading in and was immediately refused service because they said they smelled weed on me while the other group was accepted and brought right in. I understand they have to be safe but I had done nothing wrong, I’m absolutely crushed. If I try again at some other point my review might change, I just felt extremely unwelcome
The staff is knowledgeable and the range is great! I wish it was all twice the size that it is now.
We hosted my sons Bachelor Party at MFL this past Saturday and had a fantastic time. There were seven of us in all with varying degrees of firearm knowledge. Amy led the group. She really took charge, spoke clearly and with authority, but was very friendly. John stepped up to help her out. He was especially great with those of us that didnt have much handgun experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable people. Ryan was very helpful with the planning stages, too. I planned most of it over the phone with Ryan. Great group of people. Everyone we met was an Ace.The facility was spotless, air conditioned and had great lighting. Already planning my next visit.
I drove from Massachusetts stayed at a hotel in Manchester to come to this range and I am telling you it was worth every penny. I have never even shot a gun before but I am so interested in learning and making this a hobby. David who worked with us face to face who was in the Marines (Thank you for your service) taught us basic gun handling and safty. He was just all around amazing, friendly and non judgmental. I will come back here again! I highly recommend this place.
My husband and I are interested in personal defense and wanted a course that was comprehensive and included range time. MFL provided a great course. Tom Brown was an excellent instructor. The 8 hour class was very interesting and well presented. The range time was well structured and provided a lot of opportunity to fire the weapon in a variety of drills. Safety was stressed and both instructors were helpful and supportive. It was a fun course and I will probably take another as we are both new to the idea of gun owning.
I have been to many firing ranges before but this one i dint liked because of an elderly man and his young pal who looks after safety were not at all friendly though the other guy at the register is super good with us and was super informative when i asked him about their inventory.
Great place to relieve some stress! Amy is a great help. Very knowledgeable.
Great place for beginners. Friendly staff. I went with a group of 7, mostly total beginners. We rented two lanes for an hour. I brought a couple long guns and pistols, so everyone shot my stuff and we saved on rentals (but they seemed to have everything there to rent). Staff is very friendly and thorough with gun safety and teaching shooting. We even got to try a full auto MP5 (they had a few full autos for rent too). CAREFUL WITH BRINGING YOUR OWN AMMO. Some ammo is strictly forbidden and they will check your ammo first and temporarily hold it until youre done shooting (you must shoot range friendly ammo). Overall a great experience and I will bring newbies here again for sure.
Fantastic experience. All the staff were subject matter experts. Huge focus on safety and asking the customers their exact needs no matter their skill level. The owner even met with me personally to make sure I was satisfied. Two thumbs up!
This place is awesome. Brought my marlin model 60 .22 rifle here and rented a ruger vaquero 357 mag revolver. It was a lot of fun.
Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and informative staff, wide selection of products and firearm rentals. definitely will visit again. From the Beginner who has never handle a gun to the most advanced all skill levels welcome.
Review of Range and Classes they offerMFL - The range is clean and well run. range equipment functions well and the RSOs are helpful and keep a good eye out for you and ensure a safe environment. Safety is no doubt a top priority here. This is a perfect option on week nights as weekends get really busy.Special attention to James and Paul who are both really friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks!Instructor Tom Brown - Tom makes his classes really enjoyable. The Personal protection in the home and Outside of the home are exciting opportunities to do training you typically do not have the chance to. The range time is unique drills designed to give you the ability to: use one hand, draw from a holster, shoot on the move, and a bunch more. The class provides you the ability to try a different assortment of firearms both from lane hops with your classmates and from Toms personal collection, which is very generous. There is a significant amount of Class time with these courses but they are done well by a natural educator. Legal cases are cited well and are typically local. These classes offer a significant value. This fact can not be overlooked. The class time paired with the range time all with a very trained, reasonable, and patient instructor makes the $ cost seem well worth it. There is a fair amount of time you need to dedicate to these training days, but there is value in the offerings by Tom.
They have great staff, Michelle is always smiling and Amy is cracking jokes she is an awesome instructor. Definitely recommend.
I LOVE this place!!! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable! And I highly recommend Amy, she is a great instructor!!
Fantastic facility and service. Staff are personable, but strict and dont allow for anyone to come in danger at any time. Prices are fair for a place like this. The in-range staff will answer quick questions and the front room staff will make sure you are outfitted properly and know how to use each gun. They also have a few consignment guns for sale. Have gone here a few times and will do so again.
All the employees at the range were awesome! They were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! They treated me very nicely when answering what I thought were stupid questions I had to ask. I also very happy to hear how well the owners of the range took care of their employees. Its so refreshing to go to a business where the employees are happy to be there! They also treated me very nicely when answering what I thought were stupid questions.

Came here to shoot with my dad while on leave as active army and was disrespected greatly beginning with them picking on me for being only 1 year in the service. Then they constantly picked at everything I was doing for, I guess me only being an E2 in the army. Both rifles I fired jammed, multiple times. The staff, prior service marine fixed my jam but proceeded to firing a few rounds after. He used about half my mag before it was finally fixed, and even though it was a weapon malfunction on their part, he looked at me like he couldnt believe what I was saying when I asked if I was going to have to pay for the rounds he expended. He said of course. I only fired like 3 rounds. He fired 14 or 15 and I said I would like more rounds to replace the 20 dollar magazine that I purchased. He walked off really annoyed and came back 5 minutes later with a replacement mag. If youre in the military and youre going with family or friends to this place for fun, and you havent served a whole term in the service yet, you probably shouldnt go here or its going to be a contest between who did the most for their country. Yeah I havent been in for a whole term but why should you ever look down on someone who even volunteered to join? The staff here is ridiculous.
Recently stopped in just to test a couple different kinds of ammo. staff was knowledgeable and respectful. wait time was a little long but where isnt it? when i made it to my stall no one was hovering over my shoulder telling me what to do or how to do it like countless other range safety staff would. ill be coming back soon to have another pleasant time. i would also recommend to any first time firearm owner, no one at this store/range will treat you different. in addition the business also offers comprehensive firearm safety classes which is always worth checking out.
Tom was a great instructor! Our girls night out at the classes was truly a fun experience. Loved the lane hopping at the end of the class...gave us the opportunity to try a variety of guns. Thank you, Tom!
My daughters and I just took the MFL Basic Pistol and had a wonderful time. We had the opportunity to shoot a variety of pistols and even a rifle. Tom, our instructor, had a great sense of humor. He made the course fun and engaging. Tom taught not only gun safety but provided information on storing, cleaning, laws in various states, and other helpful tips like how to find the right pistol for your hand and needs. I would highly recommend this course. The people working at the range were very helpful as well. Great experience!
Tom Browns Intro. to Gun Safety Seminar is excellent. He is a great instructor and the seminar has valuable information and guidelines for anyone that has purchased or is interested in purchasing a firearm. Thank you to the owners for providing this seminar and an excellent instructor who teaches this seminar free to the community.
We went here for my husbands Father’s Day gift. We go in and do the paperwork which was no problem, not a long wait time which was great. My husband has a brand new firearm which is why we were there, to test it out and see how it performs. The lady Amy, gives my husband such an attitude about how it’s a brand new gun and is convinced it’s going to have problems, mind you the gun preformed perfectly. She acted like my husband didn’t know what he was doing and was trying to upsell an information course which he didn’t need. We then go inside the range and do our thing and have a blast. Just as we finished with the last round the safety officer comes running over in panic mode and takes over our lane and we didn’t know why. He then tells us we hit the ceiling multiple times and hit the carrier multiple times which was not true. He also just got into the range area as he was in the shop part before hand so he didn’t see us shooting. They have you start shooting on cardboard that is already been shot at before you start so there’s no way to prove who is hitting the carrier and such. Luckily we were done with all of our rounds and we’re ready to leave and we won’t return. We will go to the Hudson range from here on out.
My wife and I recently took the Basic Pistol course and followed it up with the Personal Protection in the Home course. One of the courses had 13 attendees and the other had 8. The ages ranged from 17 up to those retired. The class sizes were good with lots of interaction between students and the teacher, Tom Brown. The topics covered in both courses were appropriate to the courses and were informative. Tom’s teaching style made the class time move right along. Both in the class room and on the range the students were able to handle numerous types of pistols and fire them as well. The range at MFL is well maintained was a good location for the range time. We had a great time and would recommend both of these courses.
