I called him to install a flash hider on my AR and after he said he could do it while I wait I drove 45 minutes to go see him. I waited patiently for over an hour for him to show up (after saying he would be at his shop at the time I originally arrived) I gave him the rifle and he said to come pick it up in a day or two. I reminded him that he said he could install the flash hider while I waited and that I lived pretty far away. He took my rifle and tossed it back into the case I had it and told me to go find someone else, only not that politely. Him telling me to go somewhere else wasn’t as big of an issue. I’ve been told worse by better people. It was him tossing my rifle as if it was his that I didn’t appreciate.
Great folks, Good range for all weapons from handgun up to 300yd rifle range. Reasonably priced for an all day one cost. Ranges are basic and primitive and all that shoot seem to work well together for safety and target placement. Range and shop office are nestled in on a working farm. We will be regular members here!
Good cost but you have to rely on the safety of other shooters because there is not range safety officer. Also you will have to ask others to stop shooting so you can go down range to set up targets. While my back is turned and your kids touching the guns is not a safe feeling. But its usually empty. Probably because none wants to be shot by accident.
Went for 1st time there to sight in my 444 Deer rifle and thought it was fantastic :) Everyone there was very courteous and all that is asked is to just follow the rules of the range which are nicely posted on all areas. Definitely will go back :)
Great place to take rifle caliber firearms. They also have pistol range too. Friendly staff. Felt good hitting targets at 300 yards.
This is a great place to go and shoot, the atmosphere is welcoming and the owner is a very nice guy!
Old Fudd range that looks down their nose on modern firearms and accessories such as binary triggers. Further commented that those sorts of things are dangerous and that I should get rid of it. I was just there for a quick function check on a new build but had to turn around. I ended up taking it to OK Corral in Woodbury where I was able to test the build w/o hassel. I have shot there(Walden) in the past but this is the first Ive heard of anything like this. Wasted an hour of my time driving there and back because no mention of this under the about section of their(Walden) page.
Had my gun for a month without touching it. I called Terry the 3rd week he had it just to see how things were going, since he did not feel the need to update me. Then I called him 1 month after I dropped it off only to hear that he still hadnt looked at it and told me to come pick it and take it somewhere else because he will never have time to look at it because he cant run the store and the shop at the same time and blamed it on unreliable employees. What if I never called to check on my gun? How long would he have had me waiting before he told me he never intended to look at my gun..
I took my new single action pistol to him because it jammed while practicing on the range. He began tearing it apart and ended up placing the barrel in a vise and twisting it. This bent the barrel and my new gun was destroyed. He threw the pieces in a drawer for parts. He never apologized, offered to reimburse me for the gun or made any remark that he regretted what he did. I would NEVER take a gun of any kind to him. I unfortunately made that mistake once and it cost me $500 for a new gun.
My son and I go there from time to time. Rifle, handgun, and now a shotgun range. Good people.
