I usually go to the one in Westminster but I also go to the one in Manhattan Beach. In both instances the managers know a lot about the hobby. They are really friendly and its great to talk to them. They are very much enthusiasts of the hobby and games. Whether you a new to the hobby or a veteran, they will be happy to answer any questions. Highly recommended

Dan was there when I started my journey into the hobby. He was alittle to aggressive in his up selling. Which in warhammer if you get the bug no up selling is needed. Then it was Payton and I really liked him. He would up sell once and awhile but never in a pushy way. Also when the 1 guy I started the hobby with quit and I had no one to nerd out with and talk lore he was my guy. Aaron I havent been in enough with covid and I have my own health issues to make the call. All around nice group of guys who would hang out there before covid. Never played a game in house but have bought count less models and paint. Very child friendly too. Its true warhammer is for everyone.

Great visit yesterday. Picked up 9th edition rule book. Some Dan Abnett and Aaron Dembski Bowden fiction. Dark angel green. Glue. And some of those steampunk squat dwarf guys. Had a really fun conversation with the guys who were hanging out painting their armies. And the manager, Aaron, was very helpful and friendly. Did not hit us with the typical GW upsell hammer as we walk through the door. We were free to empty our wallets of our own volition. A terrific store. Excellent representation for the hobby we love. Aaron deserves a raise!

The manager Payton is a boss. I started the hobby pretty recently and he really helped me figure out the hobby and how to start. Whenever I bring in a model to ask for help with it, he is really helpful with it and you can tell he knows what he is talking about.

If you are into the game or are looking for a miniature hobby. This specific store is where you want to go. The manager is amazing and he will make sure you know what to do to get into it, and also teach you all there is to know. There is definitely some sort of good community revolving around this store, there are milestones that provide benefits to the store from being involved.

Great store, the owner is incredibly welcoming and eccentric about the hobby. The store has its walls lined with boxes and is constantly playing music that helps with the atmosphere. There are 3 tables for games and tables for painting and glueing with work trays and water cups available for painting which will almost always have customers there on a day to day basis. This is an amazing place is a go to if you want to meet like-minded enthusiasts of the hobby or play a quick game.

This store has opened up a whole new world of hobbying for me. The manager, Dan, is a fantastic guy—very knowledgeable and helpful without ever being pushy—and the community that has grown up around the store in less than a year is friendly and inviting. Whether Im looking to play a game or just hang out with like-minded people, this store is one of my favorite places to spend my time.

I love this place. Dan the owner of the shop is amazing and his friendliness and enthusiasm convinced me to try Warhammer 40K. Anyone who would complain about that man is a person who is constantly looking for something to complain about, the type of person who would complain no matter what. I have never noticed any “bad breath” nor is he pushy. Dan made me feel like Warhammer was something I could do where previously I didn’t think I could do it or was artistic enough to do it at all.

Ive been in the hobby for years, and I have to say I am really excited for this store. Dan really makes a huge effort to make everyone feel included. Furthermore, he does not do the typical Im going to bother you until you but something. When I do go to purchase more models, he is super cool in giving advice, and chatting about the game. All in all, one of the best GW stores Ive been to over the years.

What a great spot and addition to the area! The store is clean, well laid out, and has a substantial amount of product on display. Most all of what youd need to hobby paint is here.. and there are two gaming tables with scenery and such to battle. Theres a nice center area for building and painting as well if youd just like to sit and paint with like minded enthusiasts, share progress, tips, etc.The regulars at this shop are very friendly and helpful, with a wealth of warhammer gaming and painting knowledge, lore, and lots of jokes. The real shining gem here is the manager Dan. His enthusiasm for the hobby is downright infectious and I really dont know that theres any part of WH he doesnt know. I havent painted miniatures since 1989, but somehow now I have 4 imperial knights. Personally for me hes been patient and helpful with my painting, to the point where he has spent time off hours thinking on the goals I have and how best to reach those goals.. and thats well above and beyond effort. Im not sure I would have invested so much in this hobby so quickly if I wasnt so happy with that. This spot is worth a drive if you havent been... so check it out!

So the store is great itself. The owner Dan is a little pushy on the business side while I get that in Manhattan Beach the rent is crazy high while he has to make money to but I hope this maybe reminds him that. Terrance is a great guy he is always helpful and willing to help little kids I see him do it all the times while I’m shopping around the store with my son. Another little thing on Dan’s part is that I know it’s not to important but his breath smelled a little bad last week when I came in and it wasn’t very pleasant. So other than all that the overall store is great and it’s very organized. I met this little kid named Austin and he was super sweet and I could tell Terrance and Dan taught him well. He had a whole Tau army and I saw him working on it. 😁👌🏻

My experience here was fantastic. Im usually keenly aware of when a salesperson is trying to get me to spend money, but the manager, Dan, who helped my friend and I out when we first got there, was stellar and showed a lot of passion for the hobby.Im new to Warhammer, but decided to come and see what stock the store had since I didnt really want to pay for shipping from the Games Workshop website. I wish I came in sooner! When you first walk in, youre greeted to an awesome display of Warhammer miniatures. The left wall is lined with Age of Sigmar sets and boxes, and the right with Warhammer 40,000. These are cleverly divided in a way that helped me find what I was looking for: Specifically, Grand Alliance Order and Chaos minis. The back of the store contains the supplies. For beginners, this is extremely useful. Citadel supplies (which are Games Workshops official products) are used to help put together and paint your models. Books are available to teach you how to make minis, paint minis, or how to play the game. Furthermore, there is an entire section of novels if youre feeling like getting even further into the lore of Warhammer. It seems like they just have a massive stock of EVERYTHING.And if they ever dont have what you need in stock, there is a kiosk in-store you can use to order what you need from online and have it delivered directly to the store FOR FREE. This saves a TON on shipping! Also, ordering from their kiosk (rather than online) helps support the local store. If I ever go and they dont have what I need in stock, Ill definitely order from the kiosk. Its a win-win situation.Getting out of the retail portion of this review, I need to talk about how awesome it was that this didnt feel like a usual retail experience. A lot of my positive feelings for Warhammer (the store Im reviewing, not the game) came down to how the manager seemed to be so passionate about the hobby. Dan helped my buddy and I out, answered our questions, and reassured us that hes a resource. If we have questions about putting models together, painting them, or playing the game...just come in and ask. Im pretty much brand new to Warhammer, so this sort of reassurance is much appreciated and helps me get into the hobby as a newcomer. There are a lot of social aspects as well. You can come in for tutorials on how to play, paint, or model GW minis. There are painting competitions, tables to play Warhammer on, tables to paint on, release parties, and other gatherings to meet and have fun at it. If you need any help at all, the workers at the store are ready to give it. My only personal interaction was with Dan, but that was enough to tell me that Warhammer is a fantastic place to come when I have the free time.My only regret is that I didnt buy my initial Warhammer supplies from the store. I ordered online, which means only Games Workshop got my money, not the store. So kudos to Warhammer for being such a fantastic store. From their extensive stock, to their layout, to their community and events, and their passion for the hobby. I know Im coming back this weekend to preorder the Soul Wars starter box!

I was excited for this store to open however after attending a few times I found I wasn’t welcome. A few things that were a put off. 1st after showing a fellow gamer how to magnetize his models I was instructed not to because GW doesn’t sell magnets. The dumbest thing I have ever heard. 2nd was when the topic came up concerning playing custom models that they needed to adhere to the GW model requirements posted on the main site. All fine. However after getting approval from Warhammer World to run my scratch built Warhound Titan in events the store manager still objected to playing it in the Manhattan Beach store stating no proxies would be played in his store. Unfortunately GW corporate defines the model as a “Beautiful scratch build” completely within the spirit of play. They also said it was not a proxy. The products are already more expensive in the physical stores and more often than not we are pushed online to purchase bitz that are not available in store. Its decisions like these that are going to drive hobbyists out of the brick and mortar stores all together. Long live garage hammer. Where it started.
