I dont usually leave reviews at all for chains like this but our experience this morning was one star worthy. My toddler and I arrived at this location ready to shop and on our way from the shopping carts to the produce we interacted with one employee, a woman wearing a hajib who GLARED at us in response to our smile and hello. We turned around and walked right out. As an indigenous American, I have a zero tolerance policy for hatred and negativity let alone lack of respect for my patronage. We will not be shopping again at this location.I prefer to give my business to human cashiers over self check out but considering she was the only cashier, we will not be giving her a second chance and I am trying to role model for my toddler what is acceptable behavior to accept from other humans, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, etc. We decided not to shop this location based on her received hatred of us upon being greeted with a GLARE.

Completed my visit, found what I wanted to buy and completed my purchase with a very polite young man at checkout .

This store is clean, well maintained and well stocked. They had every item I needed, at very reasonable prices. On top of that, the staff are friendly and helpful, making shopping here a pleasure.

What happened to courtesy, customer service and acknowledging your customers. Was overcharged for organic strawberries (sale sign says $4.99 thru 8/5, receipt showed $6.99) Young man at service desk was not aware of price accuracy policy whereby you “get grocery items for free (if under $10) if you are overcharged at register”. I would say 4 out of 5 times I find an error on my receipt. After waiting for the store manager, I told the young man I was in a rush. He then paged a female supervisor. Immediately, both of them walk out of back office. The store manager didn’t even acknowledge me, I explained the situation, he grabbed the strawberries out of my hand after asking what size I bought, walked over to verify the price (even though I had gone back and taken a picture). He seemed annoyed, started filling out paperwork for the refund (this is the 1st time this has happened). I asked him if the store policy was still the same as the young man didn’t seem to be aware of it. He rudely answered me and gave me my $7 back without apologizing, or even looking at me. This store has gone down hill gradually over the years (I have been shopping here for 25 years) but even more so since Covid. First time writing a negative review about stop and shop but certainly warranted.

Nothing good to say there always out of items that are on sale and very few of there customer service people have a personality use to be a awesome place to shop but no more Im taking my $800 - $1000 a month to other stores now and stop and shop knows why

Need to get a handle on consistency of prepared foods...couple weeks ago the entire bakery cookie section was overcooked cookies. Todays egg salad from the deli is so extremely oversalted it is completely inedible. Staff is always polite and helpful however.

Workers are friendly. Store is clean not to many people. Very easy to go in and out.

I highly recommend Carroll the head Baker for all of your party needs. Stop in and see her, shell definitely do everything she can to fulfill your wants and party needs. Even if you are only looking to satisfy your own personal Sweet Tooth I highly recommend their Bakery. The rest of the store seemed very clean and well managed. Little bit of traffic as you would expect to such well-managed place.

Clean store well stocked with the exception of some sale items .yes you can get a ranchers however if its produce fruits it never comes back as the right size . Some managers on will override the package. Others act like your killing them .

The store has been remodeled. They have a sushi bar and a hot bar. The service is good and they a wide selection of products at reasonable prices. They also have a Dunkin donuts there as well! They also have online shopping and peapod

Really dont mind shopping there, but they recently did a store rearranging and I cant stand it...Seems as though too many essentials are far too separated and cant always find the things you need.With everything going on in todays world, officials have stressed the point of spending as little time as possible in retail stores. I dont really understand why they would want to rearrange everything since it seems obvious that patrons will take that much longer to shop and make their purchases.

I am New to Mansfield ans have visited the store over the past 5 months and Each time I go into this Stop N Shop in Mansfield on Chauncey Street, I feel like the workers as well as the other customers look at me in a wayas if they are trying to make me feel like I dont belong in the store. Today, I started in the bread section and work my way to the vegetable section and in all that walking, only one employee greeted me and said hello how are you doing? Each time I checkout at the self checkout the older employee who is station at this post never says hello to me but when my daughter who is very light skin is with me she will speak to her. Today an elderly woman when she turned around and saw me she move all the way over and decided to go in the opposite direction. Its bad enough in most of the places you go people look at us like we dont deserve to be in an area. But to feel it in our community and local grocery store is uncalled for. The workers and management are the one who sets the tone for what is acceptable in their establishment so in this case the workers at this location are not friendly to blacks and it should be change and employee should be retrained on inclusiveness and customer service skills. Besides this the places is clean and always stocked.

Better produce than walmart, slightly more expensive, great grocery pickup app, good selection. Kept me fed during lockdown. People are great.

Since the pandemic I have used stop & shop exclusively for my curbside pickup. It is a great service however they do mess up my order sometimes and they also make some substitutions. Some bad produce and fruits but for the most part they are pretty good about everything. Its a very easy process you literally pick out everything online, you set a time to pick it up and then you go to pick it up at the store. When you get to the store there are designated parking spots you park in one of the spots and call a number. You dial zero then one and you are connected to the online order pickup team. They will ask you your name and if you want them to put the groceries in the car for you. I usually have them put the groceries right into my trunk they close the trunk and I am on my way. if they gave fresher produce and fruits and vegetables as well as didnt mess up my order so much I would give them another star but unfortunately that isnt the case.

The prices are much higher than other stores in the area and now theyve chosen during a pandemic to raise the price of Gatorade (which is one of the only things I was still going to them for) by almost 20%. Do yourselves a favor and go to Market Basket where you get way more for your money.

I usually have no trouble getting in and out, and this store manages the lines very well. However, for the past few weeks or so, this store has been undergoing a reorganization, making my trips take at least twice as long. The employees are still relearning the aisles and reorganization, so asking has not been a very useful thing to do. Furthermore, today on my trip I observed several stockers crowded in an aisle working, causing me to feel uncomfortable going down the aisle to look for what I needed. The most concerning thing today, though, was the stockers I observed not wearing masks, and one of those was talking with a customer, not observing social distancing, and complaining LOUDLY about having to take everything off the shelves and move the items. I brought this to customer service after I checked out, but they did not appear concerned, giving me the idea they would not do anything about the employees not following the guidelines. I will not return if I can help it.

Well stocked. Clean. Always been expensive there, but now its getting a little ridiculous? No people at registers to help with bagging? Takes way too long. I am grateful for the staff that was there during the worst of the lock down

While I do feel they’ve gotten better over the past year with prices and item availability, I have to say I’m not a fan of buying spoiled meat. I know it can happen from time to time, but I’ve bought bad meat from this store more times than I believe should happen. Beef, pork, chicken and even fish. I’ve had to watch the dates and pass on anything very close to the sell by date because it’s usually not good when I get home. I also try not to shop on the weekends as it seems that weekends and Sundays the meat is worse. End dates and a lot marked down as managers specials. I don’t mind that, but not full priced spoiled meat.I’ve got meat now that’s bad. Nothing worse than buying meat to make for dinner, ruin the evenings dinner plans and have no backup or time to make something else. I honestly don’t want to go through the hassle of going back to return it. That’s tonight.My first issue was having a bad Turkey on Thanksgiving that you bought the day before the holiday and having no back up. At least tonight I can order pizza for my kiddos. Wasn’t the case on the holiday. They refunded me for the bird that time, but it didn’t really help me on the day i needed the bird.I hope they improve the meat department because I like most of the workers and think that they’ve been making some great improvements over the past year. The store is usually clean and appealing. Fresh baked goods in the bakery. A pretty good variety in organic and ethnic foods which is not always the case elsewhere. I don’t like to leave negative reviews. I rarely leave one, but numerous experiences with bad meat there has me not wanting to buy any meat from this store at all.1 star for the meat itself. While the meat and butcher folks are usually very nice, I’d say that is moot if they are putting out bad meat.3 stars for how they handle returns of said meat.4 stars for the majority of the employees. Usually very nice and pleasant. You’ll always encounter one that’s not.4.5 stars for the store itself and the products, produce and availability of many items I can’t find elsewhere.

I just bought $200.00 worth of grocery and it seemed like nobody cared about how my food was being bagged. Love the store very clean and employees are nice until its time to check out. So i asked nicely that i would bag them my self.

Clean, organized, logical. Didnt have to wander all over looking for the items I wanted. Friendly staff. Only downside: purchased pre-made hot fried chicken (at 6:30pm) - found that it was dried out and hard after I got it home. I threw most of it away. Wont buy it again. They need to cull the offerings after a certain amount of time spent under the heat lamps.

Compared to other Stop and Shop, I loved this one the most. Have been there 4-5 times and one time, they had a price mistake, so gave me the item free. I still offered to pay for it, and was mentioned that was their company policy as a staff forgot to take the old price/offer away. Other time, they were handing Christmas balloons. Employees have been very helpful and courteous. It helps to have the dunkin donut and Citizens bank within the store!

Great hours, great staff. They recently gave their employees a higher wage and better healthcare plan which is great to see in such a big company.

This is where I regularly shop. Rarely do I not find what I need here. Excellent deli, meat dept. and bakery. Occasionally disappointed in the produce section so only 3 stars there. Prices fall somewhere between Whole Foods and Market Basket.

The store and employees are fine. Usually stocked well and pricing is generally cheaper than others in the area. The problem is the clientele. Many of the people who shop there are angry, self entitled soccer moms looking to mow down anyone that is remotely in their path with their carriage. Rude. Youd think there was a hidden wine box some where theyre trying to sniff out.

Great store, great people. Always clean. Had a problem with cleanliness of the restrooms, but they have since corrected. Great gas prices, great fuel rewards, great prices. Deli is excellent. Always recommend this store. To the very critical and obviously unhappy lady who left that terrible review...take it easy!!

Many great options for gluten-free foods only issue is that they upcharge for so much of their products. Produce is extremely fresh and the store was amazingly clean. The self check out did not recognize most of the sales so it took extra time to check out.

Prices typical 60 cent higher on a number of items. Dont waste your money on their deli ham salad. Price is 4 dollars higher per pound than where I buy, which 3 miles away. Taste better too.

The new Mansfield law of no plastic bags us beyond RIDICULOUS. Stopped by this store for a few items and the person bagging my items out everything in 1 bag, the bag tore in half as I put it into my car. Next time I will ask for double bags and ask that the person bagging the items use their brain, seriously 14 cans of pet food, 2 pies, and a few other items all in one flimsy paper bag.

Just got back from a small late-night shopping trip and I felt the need to publicly recognize the delightful woman working at the self-checkout stations, I believe her name was Donna. Great image for the place, kept a smile on even when it was almost closing time and was courteous to myself and 3 other customers I saw her interact with.

The best Stop & Shop around. Clean, friendly crews, well stocked and even restrooms that dont resemble a third world gas stations. They also have STOPPED providing plastic bags, woot!Proper management shows b this store, Foxborough stop shop needs this type of care and attention to customers.

Well the Cashier was very nice and the bagger was very nice but the bags were over loaded I am 74 years old and I have to take my food up two sets of stairs I asked for the bags to be light but when I got out to my friends car and tried to put my groceries in the car they were so heavy I could barely pick them up so and I have a bad back but the Cashier and the bagger were very friendly I will definitely come back to your store and I dont want to get anyone in trouble but I just think the bagger should pay a little bit more attention SINCERELY JUDY BELL

I moved from Quincy to Foxboro about a year and a half ago. Wow is all I can say. Everyone that works at this grocery store is very pleasant and extremely helpful. I am not used to this after living in Quincy and Brockton. The cashiers are very pleasant and very professional. Ive been to the Shaws right down the street from Stop & Shop and its a completely different experience. Half the time they dont have what I want or need and although not unpleasant, I went there twice and wont go there again.Kudos to ALL of the employees at S & S.

Prices have improved drastically. I dont mind stopping in here for a small to medium shopping now.... Before, I used to wait and do a large shopping when I could get to Walmart.I do/will always buy my meats & eggs here.
