The girl working was nice but if you want tape ins other than brown or blond this is not the place to go because they had a very small selection of tape ins

I love this place, even if they groan when I walk in. I have the tendency to be a pain in the butt occasionally. Yet she always helps me. Im always looking for something they dont carry much of because Im blond and I like to wear wigs that are blond or colored or curly or straight.... Im very indecisive. Yet shes always going to the back pulling out different ones as i request. I have purchased many things from them, mostly Wigs, but other items as well. They carry a HUGE assortment of cosmetics, contacts, lashes, and of course- hair products, not just for ethnic hair and its often less expensive than Sallys.

Grace has done my braid in extensions since I was 21 and I’m now 35 lol. She is the only one that makes my hair look natural and she always blends it at the end. When I moved away I’ve had a few others try to braid my hair and it looked awful!! I even had an awful hair cut from someone else and she fixed me right up lol.She’s quick with braiding and sew ins and we have always got along great. Doesn’t matter what race you are or what kind of hair you have she knows her stuff!!

This is the only beauty supply in manteca that has the most options for african americans.

This is one of the best hair stores I have found in the Central Valley. She has lots of hair on display. Shes always ready and willing to answer questions. Very friendly very nice.

I had a relaxer and it was the best I have had so far my scalp didnt get burned at all. I was so happy!

The ladys here are helpful, nice and very knowledgeable about hair AND products. There is such a variety of products here and you can get a sweet hair-do! Love it here!

I use to go to Shalom to purchase wigs about once a month and I always dealt with Grace. She seemed nice and friendly. However, one day while purchasing a wig I watched her curl a ladys weave who was from Africa (Grace is from Africa) and she did such a nice job (patient, attention to detail, and friendly), so I decided to get a weave and Grace said she would do it...I went in a few days prior and sat in her chair, took my wig off and asked her to come look and feel my hair so she would know what she was dealing with. She just stood there and looked from a distance but would not come over to me to REALLY get a feel for my texture, thickness, etc. I know my hair is hard to deal with because it tangles, its thick, and past my shoulders. I wanted Grace to get a heads up on what she was dealing with, but again, she would not look/touch my hair and quoted me a price of $150. Okay, so I go in with my hair in four plats and I comb it out as best as I could hoping to make it easier for her. She continued to make smart comments about my hair the WHOLE time she was doing it. She was ruff (I am tender headed) and had a bad attitude. She kept saying I did not know you had this much hair, I wouldve charged you more!!!! I explained to her I gave her plenty of opportunity to look at my hair prior to quoting me a price. She just sulked the whole time. THE FINAL INSULT WAS WHEN MY PHONE RANG AND SHE HANDED ME MY MK PURSE. WHEN SHE PUT IT BACK SHE SAID, OH, YOUR PURSE IS HEAVY, EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU IS HEAVY! I was so hurt and embarrassed that she would say that to me, loud, in front of everyone (the shop was super crowded). I AM A SIZE 18. Before I left (just to see what she would say) I asked her would she do my weave again and she sat there with that nasty attitude on her face and told me no! I knew before I asked her I WOULD NEVER let her touch a hair on my body, nor would I EVER BUY A WIG from her again. Not sure where all the hate and attitude came from; jealous of my hair, clothes, face, purse...not sure but GRACE is not graceful at all and she lost a faithful customer! And btw, the Bobbi Boss hair she sold me was terrible. After a week it shed like crazy, matted up, and was dry. I would not recommend doing business with Grace, Shalom Beauty Supply Owner......a side note, I ran into a complete stranger at the gym and we start talking about horrible experiences with hair dressers...long story short, my horror story and her horror story was about the same lady, Grace! SMH
