Friendly and fast service for an inspection sticker!

Professional Simply as the name suggests! Paul is very professional, truthful, not upselling guy. My car needed engine check, VSA check badly, walked in without appointment, they were short staffed and he set the expectations clearly about timing. To my surprise, not only they diagnosed the car quickly, but got it fixed and back on road the same day. Quality, Professionalism, Courtesy, Customer service... cannot thank them enough. I had them rebuild me heads and all seals as well as some routine maintenance work which other shops quoted 1-2 weeks. The team at professional got it done in 3 days and even took are of a few extras that werent known about up-front. I will definitely be going back there again

It is without hesitation that I recommend Professional Automotive. I had my 2006 Acura RSX Type-S towed to Professional as they were local and looked to be very experienced in domestic and import vehicles. By the next day Paul was calling me and he walked me through what was wrong and potential costs throughout the job. I found Professional to be fair, honest, and pricing was as well. They use OEM parts. The throw out bearing had gone on my car causing the need for new clutch and flywheel. While there, they also rotated and balanced my tires, provided me with MA State inspection sticker as well as performed a thorough check of everything on my car. I was provided with a list of possible items to watch or fix in future with absolutely no pressure. My car was back to me two days later and feels like new again!! I am ecstatic!!! Professional Automotive is for anyone who cares about their vehicle! I will be returning for maintenance and should anything need fixing in future.

These guys are fantastic. No other way to put it. Their garage is clean, the waiting area is clean, the owner is extremely friendly and takes the time to explain everything to you, and the prices are reasonable. They work with you and your situation, and do not pressure you to do all of the work or recommended repairs they might find. Their turn around time is impressive, and they always call back quickly and leave messages. I trust them completely.

I have been wanting to write this review for a while. I took my 2004 4Runner and my wifes RAV4 in and they were awesome. They know their stuff. The guys there are friendly, professional, courteous, nice, honest, etc. They gave me options. They gave me suggestions with reasons why and why not. Half the time the suggestions were the less expensive options as it was better for me as the client. They type of place that says if it was my truck, I would do... and they meant it. Do not hesitate to go there.

First time using Professional. Brought my 09 Forester in for 100,000 check in, as they tagged themselves as the independent Subaru specialists. They found several issues, some that needed immediate attention and some that could wait. Paul was straightforward with the the work and estimates and did not pressure me into any repairs. The free loaner was a nice touch - saved having to rent a car or have someone cart me around. The reputation proceeds.

We have used Professional for several years now. Theyre the place you go when you think to yourself I wish I could find a good dependable mechanic. They are honest and up front with repairs. They stand by the work and always return calls and keep you in the loop with the work being done. They have clean well kept organized facilities. Top notch auto repair facility! Rick, Paul and there employees are great to deal with when I bring my car for service. Probably the best looking automotive shop waiting room Ive been in. They have rental cars too which is convenient. They dont try to sell unnecessary work either, just what my car seems to need. I tell my family and friends to go there and its nice to know they will be taken care of.

Im not going to bash this shop. Ive been by here several times over the past 20 years and can say honestly my main reason for not being a loyal customer has been costs for repair which could just be my opinion. However today I walked in to ask about installation of some parts that I had purchased and got the shaking head before I was even done speaking.I was told that they probably wouldnt be interested and gave me direction to a smaller shop down the road. I actually have somebody else who can do the job thank. Yes, Ill continue to take my business elsewhere. I was just doing my due diligence.

I started using Professional 15 years ago when I moved to Marlborough, and I keep using them even now that Ive moved a couple towns away. This is a great place, good feedback from the staff, honest and straightforward. Very good about giving you their opinion on when you should fix something, and when you have something that can go for a while, or when a repair is more expensive than your car is probably worth. Very affordable rental cars are available while youre getting work done, which makes fitting repairs in around your work schedule a lot easier.

How can you call them honest they gave me a estimate for $1095.00 to install an alternator, serpentine belt and a pulley for an F-150. I got the same work done same parts for $279.00 They are thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!! They wanted $900.00 labor for 2 to 3 hours work. I checked out the parts prices they where less than $220. I had those parts installed for $60.00.If you think they are great get a second estimate for the same work.

I was visiting Marlborough from Canada when my car started having issues. Not knowing a mechanic in the area, I found Professional Automotive through AAA’s website, and they were able to promptly schedule my appointment with very short notice.The mechanics at Professional gave me an honest, correct, and fair priced assessment which provided me with piece of mind to travel back home. I would recommend them to anyone in the Marlborough area, the AAA Top Shop Award is deserved.

If you need your car serviced, these are the guys to go to. Quality work every time, and if you are on a budget (as I am) they will tell you what needs to be done, what should be done soon, and what can be put off. Never any question about them doing unnecessary work or over charging you. And their free loaners (when available) are great too.

Took my car for inspection to this place. They failed it by mistake! They told me it had exhaust leak. I took it to my mechanic and paid to get the exhaust inspected. Was told that there was no leak! Returned to this place and showed them the slip. They redid the test and were like oh today it has no leak, but yesterday it had! They didnt even apologize for their mistake. Avoid this place

I recently brought my Subaru in for some routine maintenance and to investigate a rattling sound. They discovered a lot of safety issues going on that were important to address. Paul broke down the recommended repairs in order of priority according to safety, then upkeep. I was shown all of the problems under the car when I went in to pick up a loaner car for the next day. The loaner was a huge help! They threw in a complimentary inspection as it was coming due, and they recommended an exhaust specialist to address some exhaust system damage. Thankfully a full diagnostic check spotted some serious safety concerns that we were totally unaware of!!

Thank you Rick and Team for doing a great job on my 2010 Honda Ridgeline. For those reading the review, I went to Professinal on a family referral for my 2010 Honda Ridgeline that had 200,000 miles. The Professional team did a thourough review of the truck to help me decide if it was time to get rid of my truck or keep it. Knowing I had 2 major services coming, they went through with a fine tooth come and came back with a small list of items to address and offered an assesment that the truck was in great shape. In the end, I had them do the timing belt, valve adjustments and some other misc and I will be able to keep driving my truck for a few more years until my son gets his license. Thanks Guys!!

My wife and I used to be regulars at Professional until she brought her Honda CRV there one day for a small issue, and they wrote her a $3000 estimate that included several issues we never mentioned.I tried to talk through each item on the estimate with the rep on the phone so I could understand why each was needed, and after a few questions, the gentleman I spoke with got defensive and told me if I didnt trust him, they didnt want my business, and to take my car somewhere else. (They also charged us to attach windshield wipers without mentioning the cost beforehand, we thought they were doing it as a favor.)When I picked up the car later that day, I gave them a chance to change their mind, but they still refused to work with us.Which is fine, I guess, because I wouldnt trust any company that tries to charge me vastly more than I was ready to pay for services I didnt ask for, then gets defensive when I ask them to explain it.

Stay away people. This place will not allow you to bring in your own parts, the reason why they do this is so they can charge 2x the amount on parts. Its called selling list price for parts.They will tell you they are hiding behind warranty but the Magnusson-Voss act absolves them of it. Another cheapskate, scumbag mechanic shop.

Want a good job, this is a great place to have your vehicle repaired. Not cheap, but you know its done right.
