I was visiting the UP from Chicago with my friends kids & we decided to try & do a projector movie outside on my property, but I had neglected to purchase a particular cord I needed for it. There is not a lot of options up there as far as electronics go, so I was very very excited I found Best Buy. I called to see if they had the item I was looking for in stock, & i spoke to Randal. He stated they did not have what I was looking for, but he put me on hold & searched his system til he found something comparable to it. I work with the public & I am a HUGE advocate for good customer service, kind, professional, caring, thoughtful, friendly, outgoing. Randal is ALL of these things. Although I did not get to meet him when I went to the store, I did tell his associate how great the service was i received. I do not remember the guy who actually helped me AT the store, but he was great, too. A++++++ all around!!
Sales rep talked me into signing up for a Best Buy credit card to save some money on my new computer purchase. I am a professional and have always paid my credit card debt on time. However with Best Buy they are so slow in getting the bill out you only have a couple days to get it in the mail before you rack up major fees and trying to talk to a customer representative a rooster was crowing the entire conservation and I definitely wished I didn’t get the credit card because it cost me far more than I saved despite doing everything right. Very difficult to talk w a knowledgeable person so beware before you sign up!
Im disappointed with corporates decision to close this location. Last day of business is 10/31/2020. The staff gets five stars for friendliness and professionalism. All my dealings with them were positive.
Great brick and mortar with motivated and helpful employees. They had what I needed and knew exactly where to find it. The best resource in the area for toner, unlocked devices, and the latest/greatest in home care appliances.
My phone was smashed and they helped me get a new one. Didnt oversell and made sure I got the best plan. Be prepared that they dont have a ton of options in store. Its Covid so supply chain isnt great and its not their fault (nor other retailers). Mike was great and very patient with the whole process.
The guy there that helped us out was super friendly. Great 1 on 1 service. He answered every question we had.
Average Best Buy.. Employees are usually good with working with you. Been sometimes when I had to wait but they usually help you within 5m if needed depending on how busy they are. Good store but stuff can be pricey there.
After around 3 months of lock down we decided to hop on the Harley and visit Marquette area today. We stopped at BB around 4:25 pm to browse. As we walked toward entrance we realized it was call & pickup only. We walked back to Harley to leave when a gentleman from the store walked out to us to explain. We already had no problem with BB for situation and very much appreciated the trouble this friendly man went to. Very polite man!

The store was open yet %90 of the shelves were empty. Apparently they are closing this location. Sad to see them go but at the same time its not surprising. I dont think Ill miss being asked repeatedly if I need help by the overwhelming number of bored employees.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a stove and microwave and I ended up having to call the manufacturer who gave me more info about my order than best buy did. Finally the marquette manager Mike was helpful in getting me my stove after I was told I should probably cancel my order by best buy Corp. 3 times. They honestly had ZERO clue. I had been waiting for over a month (due to covid not their fault I understand that) and GE appliance could tell me that 2 of my stoves were getting delivered to my zip code (very small area, very specific stove so likely one was mine, and ended up being mine). Also, employees would tell you oh someone will contact you in 24-48 hrs, I was told within 4 days one time, and noone ever called me or contacted me except Mike. I seriously called 1 888 best buy, or went into the store, 1-2 times a week for 2 months before I asked for a manager and got someone who took the time to figure out what was going on. Once I finally recieved my microwave--it didnt work. Stove seems to be okay, and delivery was fine.My stove was stuck in Washington DC I assume because the store is closing it would not allow to schedule for delivery, so it was just sitting in the warehouse waiting for schedule delivery but no-one else could seem to figure that out. Best Buy corporate has the WORST customer service EVER!!
Best should be replaced with Your only real option Buy. If you go in close to closing time (which honestly should be 10 p.m) its like a rodeo. The employees will pounce on you and rope you into a purchase and back out the door. Just dont fall in love
Could be called Worst Buy. Described what I needed in a smart phone and advised salesperson of the service I intended to use. As well as advising sales rep if my plan to get familiar with it while out of town for 2 weeks. The phone did not have abilities described nor would it work with intended service provider. When I returned to town I brought it back (opened but not used) and could not return or exchange it as electronics must be returned within 14 days they sternly enforced - contrary to the stated 30 days on my receipt. Then had to pay an additional $65 to unlock the phone in order to use my service provider. Needless to say I have NEVER been back to WORST BUY and advise others to consider purchasing from alternate stores.
Came in with pictures of wall mount TV and wanted to know if new TV from Best buy would fit on existing stand, all they wanted was to sell me new stand and $200 to install and put TV on it........well had someone look at and yes he put the new TV on existing stand and set it up....no charges! Wow cant believe how I was treated and trying to RIP me off, wont be going back there. Does being a senior citizen give you the right to do this? Sad!

Good deals on the movies but I would like to see them continue to sell music on CDs so I can continue to support their business rather than some place thats nowhere near me or from out of country. Support American businesses and they wont tank! Dont let Best Buy go down like Barnes and Noble!

The staff here is fantastic. Best buy has gone back to what made them great. They have incredible customer service, very competitive pricing, and I have found their geek squad a good source of information. I did take off a star, because it seems a lot of the selection in the store is gone. It seems there is less and less product in the store to buy and test.
We have purchased Televisions from them. 3 in the past, boom box, subwoofer and recently our son was looking for some headphones. Each time we go there, there is someone by the door to greet you. When you walk in, someone will ask if you need assistance. They have all been great help. This is about our local Marquette, Michigan store. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. Keep up the great work
The store was empty so Im not shocked we had excellent service. Either way, it was nice getting the help needed. Id give higher rating, but the prices were too much! $45 for a screen protector is way too much. Ill buy it for less then 1/2 on Amazon. Com.
Very helpful associate in the TV dept. Had to wait though. Not enough trained employees working each department on a fairly slow Tuesday night. Same story in the cell phone dept.
Theyre helpful from the moment you enter the door, but you will pay for that service. As with most Best Buy places, everything is way over priced. Paying 15 dollars for a 4ft ethernet cord? No thanks. But if knowledgeable people who will help direct you to what youre seeking is worth higher prices, Id reccomend this store for you.

Looking for a transistor radio. We were greeted warmly & directed to the correct location. When we got the, customer service fell short as the sales help said nobody buys transistor radios anymore so no one sells them. Really? We went home & ordered one through Amazon! It arrived in less than a week & works beautifully!

Had automatic start installed on our car. SO worth it! I’m glad I called the store because the installation expert was so helpful and was able to help us find the right fit for our car. It’s much cheaper to get the automatic start from Best Buy then a car mechanic/dealer.
Always friendly and helpful staff waiting to help you. Very knowledgeable about items in the store. Prices are a bit high with the exception of good sale prices and open box items.
For a Best Buy they are good. They have a decent selection of most electronics, and the staff is reasonably knowledgeable. There is always someone nearby and eager to help. Big box stores arent always the best place to go for electronics, but these guys arent too bad.

Went in today to look for a laptop for work. Probably 5-7 customers in the store. 90% of the visible employees were up front talking to each other at the register and in store pick-up counter... looked around for 10 minutes or so finally the one employee I saw actually workin walked by and I asked him a question which he answered. Ordered off amazon once I got home...

The customer service rep. there named Pam is awesome to work with. After buying a couple of items from Best Buy, I found the same ones online a for a few bucks cheaper. Pam quickly assisted me and gave a refund for the difference on both instances.I have always had quick help in each department for every visit.
Best selection of electronics for the area. It required me to cultivate some patience when needing help.
It was time to buy a new computer. I shopped online. There’s so many places to go, Newegg, Amazon, directly to the manufacturer. I wanted good customer service. I went into the store and experienced outstanding customer service. Felt good to confirm that I was purchasing the right set up for my needs. Went back to buy a back up drive, again, had the pleasure of interacting with quality, knowledgeable, personable people. I tip my hat to management! You’re hiring the right people!

Clerks are few and not enough so that there is coverage for each department. Every time I go there I get a person subbing or covering an area that they arent familiar with so my questions dont get answers, at least for me. When I buy something and have questions that arent answered - guess what? I dont buy, I go home and do MORE research online. Not good customer service. They are sales people, there job is to sell you something and take your money. Jeez oh Pete - I did my homework before I shopped for a specific item. I knew more than they did. The bottom line is for me anyway that Corporate is to blame for their obvious lack of training and thats not just training on product, its also a lack of customer care and retention. PS: Empower employees to really place customer care first, sales second. In this period of economic instability its of paramount importance. Found a super small portable speaker called a Harman Flip 4. A helpful salesman directed me to this speaker after I explained for what I was looking...bluetooth capable, excellent sound, and very portable.
Good sale prices even if I had to drive to Marquette.
The staff here are super friendly and they helped me with a simple mistake I made for free. Not everyone out there is trying to steal your money!
Each time Ive visited its been empty enough to have access to any team member Id like to talk to. They are also quite helpful and friendly. Smallest Best Buy I have ever seen! (Only once had some one unfriendly when I was returning an item, felt I was bothering him, but he got the job done.)

I wish i could give a lower rating. I went into the store the sales person flat out lied to me about a product. I wanted to renew my cell phone with AT&T on a contract. they told me that i can not get a contact with AT&T and even if i went into the AT&T store they would not even say contract. I then went to the AT&T store and they stated that i could renew my contract.Prior to this my wife got a phone from this store and she got the protection plan. A little over a year later her phone started to have problems. Went to the Marquette store and they said it would be $150 for them to replace the phone. When we got the plan the sales person never said anything about having to pay money to use the protection plan. I called and talked to the manager STEVE he said that it was in the fine print of the contract and that i need to live with it. needless to say they have below poor customer quality.

First of all, there arent many places to shop for technology around here, but I was very surprised to find out that they are still competitively priced. The variety was quite nice, and I even found out they sold records! All of the associates were friendly, especially the woman at the checkout counter on my most recent visit. She had blue hair and I have purple, so we bonded. She was incredibly friendly and brightened my day!
Good selection, carefree staff. Prices are good, but Ive never had someone approach me and ask if I needed help. You have to track someone down if you need something.
Fabulous service both on the floor and through the Geek Squad. We enjoyed the expertise of the sales team and the attention given through a lengthy purchase decision on our end. My husband and I shop differently, and the salespeople were able to navigate our differences perfectly. It would be easy to call these folk our tech family. Returned a laptop that geek squad tried repeatedly to fix and I was assured that I could return it without an issue. I get to the store after driving from Houghton and was told thats not the way it works. When explaining packaging options for my now new laptop, the staff member would not clearly explain the programs available and wanted to charge me an additional $300 for a geek squad service that I already had but was told would not transfer to my new purchase. Horrible (and very costly) experience for me. Done with Best Buy.

Bought a NEW $800 iPhone X. The warranty is a year long. Less than two months, the charger port messed up, I brought immediately, they wiggled it in and said it was fine. It stopped working RIGHT when I got home.Went back and they said I’d have to pay $850.oo for a new phone which they didn’t explain correctly. They guarantee full warranty and fixing as they are which I figured out through Apple themselves that they’re an authorized Apple Dealer. Apple themselves called, they made an appointment for Best Buy’s “Geek Squad” to fix or replace the phone. They didn’t even look at it. LIED to me about the whole thing, in fact, talked badly about me and the situation, that I assumed was a pretty simplistic and easily fixable issue. Which WAS guaranteed by Apple themselves and the Best Buy “Geek Squad” whom the main guy was kinda tall, dark hair, small curls on top, a beard and a septum piercing, and another one or two piercing on his face that were visible. He also glasses, and dark eyes. He seemed nice at first and even was the one who recommended the iPhone. He talked badly while I was there trying to fix it, he tried to lie and say I said I dropped it just to get out of replacing or fixing it. They said the charging port was connected to the hard drive and the warranty wasn’t good.I brought it to an Apple store in Minneapolis that replaced it immediately.I won’t shop here again. They are full of it. Don’t do their jobs correctly, if at all. Other than talking. They seem to know more about technology than they really, truly do or should be trusted with!My friends and family all know of this and also think it’s b.s. and won’t be shopping there anymore.

Staff wont pressure you for a sale, this makes a difference in quality of service and importantly, why I and many people I know will return here for business over the competition. Good selection for the area though other stores have much much more, the upper peninsula isnt the best market for high tech goodies.

Purchased In microwave trim kit, microwave and a cooktop stove from Best Buy. My husband had to drive to Marquette in order to order the merchandise because they could not take our Best Buy Credit card over the phone. We never received it called to let us know that our merchandise was in so I contacted them myself. I let them know that my husband would come to pick it up on Friday or Saturday and when he came to pick it up on Friday they sold it! Now, That incompetence at its finest! We were planning on purchasing a $5000 television from Best Buy and that is definitely not going to happen! They are not trustworthy and they are not competent. The manager offered $50 for our inconvenience which doesn’t include the gas to get up to Marquette. What a joke! I would highly not recommend purchasing anything from Best Buy and Marquette because they don’t know who’s on first and/or who’s on second! Stay away!

Horrible service, went into the store for a promotion and they could not match it in store, after talking to 4 different people and they had no clue what to do, they finally brought me to the online kiosk and setup the order for me. Of course they forgot to add the free promotional item to said order, now they will not let me cancel to reorder or help me in anyway at the store...I highly recommend you do no go to this store for anything whatsoever, the staff is poorly trained at best and dont bother trying to go there for customer service...

My wife went to best buy to buy a sim card reader to back up her phone data. Shes not very tech literate, but clearly neither were the sales people because they sold her an overpriced SD card reader and sent her home.

As soon as we walkd in 4 ppl askd if we needed help...lol...we declind seeing as we didnt even make it back to the tvs yet...(we jus needed a replacemnt...had everything else we needed) ..then DID hava tv Q.....well then none of them could help and they had to find the tv guy.....waaaay to much talking....felt like i was being swindled.....buying a tv took n hr.....jus to have sum sort of pprwrk nitemare aft mr. talkative made a few mistakes or wte....AND wait days for it to be delivered(?) i wasnt born yesterday....so no need to try n swindle like i dnt know how a tv works lol!

I bought a dell inspiron 13 at the suggestion of the staff with them noting dells reliable warranty and customer service. Less than a month after buying it my computer lights on fire! Absolutely nothing happened to it previous to this incident it just lit on fire. Best Buy wouldnt take it back because it was past its 15 day policy and now a month later I am still playing the bouncing circle game with customer service.It has been a waste of 800+ dollars as I couldnt even use the computer for the purpose I intended it for and I honestly do not even know if I will receive a functional computer after this. Literally less than a month after buying their product and they could not do anything. This was a hard lesson learned. Just buy direct from the company, or cheap from a friend. And Dells customer service is literally the worst.

I have never left a bad review. However- I want every person to know how wrongly treated I was by the -General Manager “Steve” at the Marquette store. I purchased a $500 Apple 4 Watch. I had it less than 24 hours and wore it only for a few hours when the screen shattered. I did not hit it on anything or cause any damage to it myself. “Steve” told me to bad... there was nothing he could do and I am going to have to deal with it. He was unbelievably mean- I actually started to get emotional. I did not expect money back. I just believe the item was defective when they sold it even though it appeared to be in good condition (it was an open box sale). I think the screen had been tampered with prior to my purchase. Nonetheless- I was treated like a piece of trash by this General Manager. Poor customer service BEWARE! I am out $500 and I will never shop at this Best Buy again!

I love Best Buy! I have been shopping with them for years and I always get great customer service no matter what part of the country I am in. Plus, if you need to return something because it broke I have had no problems.
