I just had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had getting a new set of casings for my truck. Shopped around Marshall Texas for the best price I could find. They had it here at Big 5 Tire and Auto. The service was phenomenal. Got a new set put on in about 1 hour, May have been a little less than that! Extremely satisfied with these guys. They’re my new go to for all my vehicles now. Excellent!

Amazing customer service by this operation in Marshall, TX!!! As we are passing through traveling from Houston, we picked up a metal object causing our tire to quickly lose air. Seeing that it was close to closing time, my husband called and thankfully the call was answered. The crew offered to stay later than closing time until we could get air in the tire to hold temporarily to get there. Once we arrived the object was removed from tire and patched within 10 mins!!!! AMAZING service and I would highly recommend!

If I could give no stars I would. Took my truck to get an alignment got it back and my steering wheel has to be turned sideways to go straight. It bounces around the road when you hit the slightest bump. While one wheel is straight other wheel is noticeably not straight. And my stabilitrak and traction control service light is on. And the mechanic says it was on when I brought it. Which it wasnt. Now all of a sudden they say I need inner and outer tie rods. And Upper control arms on both sides. I bought 2 new tires and just the time from big 5 to my house which is literally 3 minutes. You can see the inside of the driver side tire wearing down. You can hear it rubbing the ground while driving straight. I turned the wheels to look at the tie rods and you can see that the bolt that was twisted is no where near where it was when he took it off i dont know if he had to move it for the alignment but it seems stripped. But like I said I dont know if its part of the alignment or not. The other one looks normal like they didnt touch it. My truck is basically an accident waiting to happen. When I hit a bump i either going into oncoming traffic or in a ditch its unpredictable. I went back up there for them to fix it and they said they cant do anything until I get the new tie rods and control arms. Then I asked why didnt my truck drive like this when I brought it to you if its that bad. The mechanic says when we do the twisting and beating it makes everything worse. That would have been nice to know before they did the twisting and beating. So I could make plans before they did the alignment. They had my truck 6 to 7 hours just to make it not drivable. Never will I use them again and never will I recommend them to anyone. I dont know how the big 5 in Longview is but do not go to MarshallUpdate***Took my truck to Firestone today they guy said my tie rods are fine. That whoever supposedly did my alignment at Big 5 twisted the nut all the way out to make it look like it was bad. I will never use them again

I wouldnt recommend this place for anything went Saturday was there a hour for a oil change. They locked my keys in my car took off my back glass and lost the bolt that holds it. Also put two dents in my car when they jumped to go threw my back glass then on Sunday I drove my car to longview and my oil light came on I checked and theres NO OIL IN THE CAR I have never had a problem now I have put 4 quarts of oil in because apparently they didnt put any in my car!!

Fixed the steering wheel on my truck and now its worse than it was before. I took it back and they kept it for 3 days and I cant tell the difference. I spent $1139 for nothing at all. Im contemplating a suit.

I would diffently recommend big 5 tires. They went out of their way to accommodate my son that is receiving treatment for leukaemia durning this pandemic. And to make sure we had the tires we needed before we make our trip to houston. Thank you so very much for your compassion.

I would recommend this company ONLY when you need something done with tires, Their automotive are a rip off. They tried to charge me $700 to fix the water that kept leaking inside my car and getting onto my carpet. I took my car to an actual automotive and got my water leak fixed for $57. Always shop around, never settle in for the first result. Smart shopping!

Awesome experience. They actively listened to my concerns and got my truck directly on the lift to check it out. Less than an hour they told me what was going on along with the cost of repair. I picked the truck up the next day and it drives, rides and powers up better than it has in long time. I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends.

I went in for an oil change and they gave me a quote for an alignment. I saiid I’m not here for an alignment and I don’t need one my car drives perfect. They said yes you do and two new tires. I said no I didn’t, paid for the oil change and left. A few days later my car started acting like it needed an alignment. I took it to Gateway and they said I didn’t need an alignment that someone had backed the bolts off both ends of the tie rod. I never had a problem to begin with. This business is dishonest and dangerous to the public.

The waiting area was very clean, which was a plus to me. Details of what needed to be done to my car were clear and concise. work was completed in a timely manner and the price was reasonable. I cant complain about anything. I will definitely use them again.

Everyone from the owner to all employees are kind, courteous & so professional. I’ve been a customer for several years & have never had a problem with anyone or with the service. They will do whatever they can to help their customers & if they can’t do what needs to be fixed they will refer you to someone who can.

Clean comfortable waiting room, the mechanic went above and beyond to make sure the right brake pads would fit perfectly on my car. I highly value mechanics that pay attention to details and are thorough and considerate! Plus I didn’t feel ripped off at all with the price like I would at a dealership. The price they quoted was the price I paid. So yes this was a great experience that didn’t leave a bad taste in my mouth at all. I will be coming back for more scheduled maintenance.

This is my third set of tires at Big 5 in Marshall. They are always clean, courteous, and fast. All of the employees there actually want to be there. That seems to be a rarity these days. I recognize faces every time I’m in there, which means they don’t have a lot of turnover. That means something to me.

The manager was extremely polite and had excellent customer service skills. He was so kind that when he found out the tire we needed repaired was not repairable, and he did not have a replacement on hand he put a loaner on. The manager said he would not have felt good about sending my granddaughter and I out on the road on that tire.

Nice and friendly staff with a welcoming waiting room and a clean restroom. Anytime I have used them for my automotive needs they have been efficient and were quick with their services. I have not used them for years because I rarely go to that side of town and I order most of my tires online but I know if I go there I will be welcomed and taken care of.

We are from Oklahoma and got a flat 2 miles from big 5 on our way back home, the manager Jon Thompson was amazing, he drove to us, picked us up and changed our tire, and stayed after closing hours to help us. I would highly recommend this service group. Thanks guys.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, and great service: In the past I have had my Tire pressure Monitoring sensors replaced, they have checked and informed me why my check engine light was on, they have done my oil changes, and today they replaced the rear air shocks on my 07 Tahoe.. I was charged the fair quoted price each time, I have never had any problems, and each time the repair was quickly fixed with no issues...If or when I ever need something in the future I would be a returning customer. 😎👍

I used Big 5 in Longview for years, so was so excited when they opened a branch closer to home! Now that Ive used Big 5 here in Marshall for a long time, I can say they have just as a good s commitment to their customer as their Longview counter parts. They take excellent care of the vehicles and their customers! Ive used them for years and will continue to use them for tires and oil!So, why not five stars? Well, I got into a little bit of an issue with my latest set of tires where one of them was, simply put, a bad tire. I was told today after an oil change that I could come in and get the tire taken care of for free because I bought the tire from them. Thats the sort of service Im used to. But not long after getting the tires, I ended up getting a flat out of state. I kept the original tire after getting it replaced and when I called to ask about a replacement (because I was used to free replacements should there be a problem, including flats) I was told it would be $20. Thats still dirt cheap especially for a new tire but.... Well, just not what I was used to. I still highly recommend them.

Was charged $100 more than I was initially told, and when I got my vehicle back, all the work I asked for wasnt even done. I called and asked why, and they had no explanation. They simply said we could bring it back (and they could charge us again/more) if we wanted it done. The only reason I chose this mechanic is because theyre close to my work and home. Ill never make that mistake again.

Fixed cvs joint and bearing on Saturday it was ready when they said it would be drive great no noise steering was better and drove better then on Monday coming to work turned air conditioner there was a loud racket took it back up to big five they came and picked up my car at my work and brought it back after it was fixed yes I’d recommend them to anyone

Out our car in this shop twice and both time they took a week to get anything done. They never seem to have any incentive or motivation. Im sure at least two of them smoke weed on the job. (I smoke too but never at work) when we got the car back the alignment was worse than when we took it in which they were supposed to fix. I feel like most marshall mechanics just dont care and are lazy. Cause they charged us for all the work and we got a bigger lemon than what we started with.

FRAUDS!!! Took my car to have a diagnostic run on it due to an issue that keeps popping up after a tire blew out. My car NEVER moved from where I parked it when you dropped it off this morning. I brought my car in for a diagnostic for a second opinion on the issue, so I would know how to proceed with the issue & my warranty company. Was told the a code they pulled, even though my car never moved much less do I think they actually did anything to it. Well needless to say it was not a code that was pulled from the previous shop. The other shop said nothing about said code & I was standing next to the tech at the other shop to see what codes he was getting & he explained that code to me. This shop said nothing about the code that was pulled from the other shop nor the code that I know to be there due to a bad airbag sensor. Needless to say I would believe there other shop & drive the 40miles(in Louisiana) & have them with on my cat rather than ever let this shop touch my car.Answer me why the other shop who I would believe over this one would tell me that the issue is probably due to something that maybe would cost under $500(very high estimate by me) rather than something that would cost me several thousand dollars. They wouldnt!

These guys were such a help after having a horrible experience with the Ford dealership who ignored my tire issues on my new car. All 4 tires had separated and I had no idea how to deal with the problem ( Ill change my oil but dont make me do tires !) They talked to my husband over the phone and gave him options. The work was done quickly with no problems. I hate that people need to state that Im sure at least 2 of them smoke weed on the job ... State facts please. That is not only accusatory but its your opinion. They need more help but other than that Sergio is a great guy to work with.

Pretty positive I was overcharged. And then they tried to tell me all 4 of my brake pads and rotors need to be replaced....my brakes dont squeak and my car does not shake when I brake. I was told they were 95% used up. By their associate Kenneth Wright.

We asked them point blank if they had the tire we needed in their building. They said yes, they had it in the shop. When we arrived, they said they had to get it from somewhere else and it would be about a six hour wait.

Went by Monday to get new tire was told would have to be ordered would be there between 1-5 pm. On Tuesday . So I left my bad tires and wheel there . I called about 3:00 pm Tuesday checking on tire. Was told that the guy that I had talked to yesterday was at the dentist an I would have to wait till he got back. So I drove 30 miles into Marshall from my home with a old tire that I had just taken off my car about 3 weeks prior, and had replaced the tire that was bad with a new tire ( which I’m having to replace again ) because I was riding around on a donut an I don’t feel safe with that tire. An had the old tire mounted on wheel an then on car. The young man I was talking to Tuesday about all this was very rude an unprofessional. I will never go back.

Had 4 new tires mounted and balanced for $60. Waited about 45 min/ hour. Works for me.

Was told i needed tie rods with new tires because my car would shake above 70 mph. They said the balancing my tires wouldnt help that i needed to pay $600 so they didnt charge me for my tire balance. They never did balance my right tire. Had to go to HOMETOWN TIRE to get my tire balanced and it fixed my shaking problem. Only paid $5 for the fix.
