Best place for people watching in Martinez on a Saturday morning. Also one of them most delicious lox bagel

Okay wow this place is 10/10 in my book! I have been blessed with a multitude of food allergies and this place catered to me 100%. They offered a vegan (dairy free for me!) maple donut which was amazing, it wasn’t overly sweet but just perfect and a spectacular iced lavender honey coffee. In addition because of covid they give you your drink in a glass jar which you can keep! It’s the little things like this that really put this place on the map for me. Expect me to become a regular here because it’s everything I am looking for.

Ive always had a good experience here. Theyve been conscientious of the community and have evolved quite a bit. Both new and old customers will probably dig their renovations. Bar in the back, and coffee in the front as they have been.

The selection of drinks is very large and they’re all fantastic. The baked goods are exceptionally good, seriously try some. Friendly staff and it’s nice that they have online ordering, the lines can get long at times.

Iced latte was great, and no plastic cup (yay!) instead I was served in this lovely reusable mason jar w a lid. Quick window walk-up on main st with a few picnic tables. Want to try something to eat next time, looks like a good cafe menu.

Got a Vanilla Latte, Earl Gray Lavender Tea, and 2 sandwiches. We housed everything before I could take a picture lol. It definitely hit the spot. Everything was just right, nothing crazy or exotic, but just what we needed. My husbands latte tasted so good I got my own rose latte to go which was equally as good. Not too sweet, just the right amount of rose, and happy with the coffee they use. I think I found a good, standalone coffee shop to take family to when they visit 😊 They use a decent San Francisco local coffee. The atmosphere is comfy and welcoming.

Pricey, but delicious, with unique offerings.If you are looking for a unique beverage, coffee or otherwise, this is a delicious and small local coffeehouse with quite a few offerings, including fresh shakes (very thin), sandwiches, pastries, and various coffee drinks with flavors like rose and lavender honey.The items are a little pricey compared to similar offerings from chains like Starbucks, but the portions are good and the taste makes it definitely worth the cost, in my opinion.Seating is limited with COVID-19 regulations, with two tables available outside. The area is pretty nice though, and it is worth walking around while drinking your coffee. The area is near the courthouse and municipale buildings, and I do feel pretty safe in this area.Please note: I only visited the coffee bar portion and not the cocktail bar, though it seems just as nice.

Wonderful customer service! Friendly, happy to make suggestions. Great overall eclectic vibe. Menu bears a beautiful balance of food and drink options. Caffeine free, dairy free, and gluten free options are all available.

They had a good amount of outdoor seating. I had the curry toast which was delicious. My friend and I ordered mimosas, they give you a whole bottle of champagne to pour for yourself so be aware. You can’t leave with a half empty open bottle so you gotta drink it all or be okay wasting some. I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Martinez

Seriously one of my two favorite coffee spots in the East Bay! I love their lavender and rose iced lattes with almond milk, and the fact that they use Mason jars. Also, Ive had their veggie panini once and it was delicious. Great spot to read or take a break after the Sunday farmers market.

Was not impressed with their coffee or iced mocha.

Man, they know drinks.They know coffee, cookies, baked goods, perfectly sized plates to serve their oversized cookies on.You get coffee here; you get quality. Theres been a frumpy stuffed bear seated here for a long time, I think they have customer loyalty down because he seems happy enough.Friendly staff. Always people here reading the paper... probably spies from another country, but at least they also have good taste.

This is by far my favorite coffee spot. They have states coffee and it has a great flavor. The honey latte is pretty great too. Try it with oatmilk!

Absolutely the best place for craft cocktails, variety of wines and a solid selection of beers. Food is also quality with fresh ingredients.It doesnt get better in Martinez or the East Bay. Try their bacon bloody Mary!Selections change, creative and interesting.

Loved the recent remodel of the cafe area. Consistently good coffee. Used to work/study here quite a lot, it can be a bit noisy but not unbearable. Love the cold brew and lavender latte. Prices are a bit high, but quality reflects that. Definitely check out the adjacent bar for great cocktails if not in the mood for coffee.

Great place for a cup of coffee on a lazy Sunday. I tried the Organic Rose Latte and it was divine! Nice kids working there and good vibes all around!!

Our favorite breakfast spot! Always has new flavors of kombucha on tap and vegan doughnuts. The laid back environment makes for great talk and a perfect sister dates on a lazy Sunday.

Great service. You get to relax in their cozy settings and they bring your order to you. The iced mint latte was great. Only parking may give you some trouble. Try their salmon bagel if youre into it.

Very nice. Sandwiches were good and inexpensive, and of course theres coffee. A small place, a bit noisy, but you can sit outside if you want it quieter.

Locally owned, relaxed friendly vibe, good service, good quality coffee & teas. Sometimes hard to find a seat, especially if youre meeting worth a group, because seating is limited and the place is popular. Convenient to Martinez downtown shops & county offices.

Ive been here twice now and I really want to like this place. Unfortunately both times Ive been here, Ive been disappointed. The prices are too high and both times Ive had to wait 30 minutes for a bagel. I dont want to have to go to Starbucks, but I guess Im running out of options. Third times the charm, maybe?

Love! Love! Love this place! An amazing revolving menu of delicious sandwiches and unique coffee drinks always served with flare. Plus a great atmosphere with fun seating and plenty of books and games to distract you while you wait. Best Coffee Shop in Martinez!

Coffee came out very quickly and was delicious (I had a vanilla latte) and had a plain bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon for breakfast. I highly recommend the bagel! Definitely helped with getting me through the day.

I love the coffees, especially the mint latte. Yum yum. The infused teas are great over ice. I keep telling myself Im going to try another sandwich, but the Love Life had the best blue cheese. Im usually there on a Sunday when you can also get mimosas. I cant drink champagne, but Im told theyre yummy. The same with their Bloody Marys if the bar is open. Hope you like spicy.

Cool little hip cafe on Main! They make an amazing mint latte, and a very interesting rose latte. Next time you’re at the Sunday Main St. farmer’s market, give them a shot!

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Varied menu with many vegetarian options. I had an Americano which was disappointing, it was watered down. Next time I will request a double shot of espresso and see if that makes a difference. I am sure there will be an upcharge.

I truly enjoy dropping by this place for some cafe, tasty pastry or a craft beer. Cozy place with friendly staff. Today however, they merited only 4 stars because of one barrista and 10,000 coffee drinks before yours. They really needed an additional person there today. 😀

Good music on Friday night, new bartender had to look up the drinks that where ordered on her phone. So if your ordering a special drink be prepared for a wait. By special I mean more than a gin and tonic.

Amazing lattes. However, I told the young man behind the counter that I wanted it “to go”. They made it “for here”. When I went up to retrieve it and told them that I had ordered it to go, the two young people behind the bar seemed very upset, rolled their eyes at each other and proceeded to pour some of my coffee into a “to go” cup…witout a word. They treated me as if this was my fault. It was very disrespectful and will make me think twice about returning as I could go to States coffee down the street where I have always been treated with kindness and respect.

This place is sweet, you feel the atmosphere the moment you enter. A true gem for downtown Martinez. I encourage everyone to order any espresso beverage in a mug and you will have a wonderful experience and beverage.

Nitro cold brew, blackberry pastry and the staff were all great. I love a good cold coffee that needs no ice, no milk or sweetener. It is that good.

I made a yelp account just to review this cafe, Ive been here once and it was an quick decided favorite. The fresh mint latte with almond milk was the best latte I have ever had! The Baristas are so thoughtful too!

Frankly the atmosphere was amazing. And i love everything about the look but frankly i dont drink coffee so when I ordered a hot chocolate from them i dident expect it t ok taste like severely watered down swismiss without marshmallow in the cup size of the Japanese Starbucks small.

I frequent this Home Town place mostly for the Entertainments. Especially Sunny and the Black Pack. I have never understood why a Coffee shop holding Entertainment in the Evening would not be open for Coffee or even a Coffee drink in the Bar! If I owned this place you bet there would be coffee for sale and even deserts!. How can you run a business like this when you could really be profiting from having your coffee available to patrons. I have had to buy coffee else where and then order a shot of Baileys or such just to partake in the atmosphere and not sit there empty handed! Get with it. You have a perfect venue other wise!

I stopped at Barrelista on my way to Portland on Amtrak and on my way back. Both times, I found the mochas to be superb and the blue berry muffins/scones to be simply heavenly.A full five stars for Barrelista!!
