I came to this store to purchase 2 mattresses for my kids and ended up upgrading the mattress sets for a GREAT PRICE! I had no intention on buying anything else...UNTIL.. I seen this really nice super fluffy sectional and the price was UNBEATABLE! Talk to Art he gave me a great price and wasnt pushy at all, and the boss Peter was very nice with a good attitude.

My experience with this store was stressed to say the least. I would say that I am a reasonable person.Given that all furniture there will take months to come in (cause theres an apparent backlog from china).I still didnt save any money. The delivery which is from from Ashley furniture cost an extra $100. So even when they price matched Ashley furniture I was still paying they same amount. No deal to be had (At least not for couches).Finally the lack of communication they give is sub par. They do contact you when they get around to it but I feel like its a giant hurtle every time I have to call or text to get ahold of them.The delivery team only lets you know when they can deliver the day before. They dont make any promises of when you will get your furniture. And if you have to reschedule it will push you back to the end of the line to get delivered.Would I buy from again: absolutely not.Did they rip me off: no but I didnt save any money and had to deal with a huge pain.Update:in response to the owner there was no delivery attempt. I was given 2 day notice that my couch could be delivered on a Monday (as contacted on Saturday) . When i asked for a week notice they simply were unable to accommodate. at the delivery schedule is made only 2 days in advanced if even that. (i asked for the delivery to be on the fallowing Thursday and NEVER got a response even after calling several times)there was no delivery attempt ever made just scheduling attempt which there was NOT COMMUNICATION

SERIOUS WARNING - DONT BUY FURNITURE FROM THEMI am sharing my bad experience here so that you can learn the lessons and dont make the same mistakes as I did.I purchased a few furniture sets from this sore for my new home in Dec. 2020. They uses the relatively cheap price as a trap and promised to deliver in approximately 1-6 weeks. The last piece should be ready to deliver in the first week of Feb and they would deliver all the furniture by Feb. 11, 2021. However, when the delivery date was close, the owner told me all my furniture would be ready on Feb. 11, 2021. But the sale man told me all my furniture would be delivered by the end of March. I called both owner and sale man and asked to explain why different delivery date were provided. No response after my text and voicemail. When I went to store myself in person and tried to get the refund, the sale man just told all the sales were final and no refund, the owner was not here until Thursday. They also treated me very rudely. I moved to the new house in Dec. without the appropriate furniture for over 8 weeks already. They did not apologize for their delay but find an excuse to blame COVID-19 and insisted they could not refund my money.If you are thinking to buy furniture from them, please stop and think it over. Is it really worthy for such a struggle and inconvenience? Their service and attitude to the customs are the worst.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE WITHOUT STRESS INDUCED HYPERTENSION.This is a warning!!!!!!!my cousin bought 13 Furniture items from this place. They promised to deliver between 1-8 weeks. Its been 4 months . Deceitful sales men. Reluctant to help owner. They delivered 2 of the 13 items after 3 months and 1 was damaged. Rude delivery Driver threatening and almost pushing down my 6 months pregnant cousin . They dont ever respond to calls . Its such a hassle. As we speak, she still has not received her items.Horrible place!!! Be warned and stay away!!!!

Theres a different guy who works up front sometimes who is quite the opposite. He tried to scam my parents into believing I didnt pay the full amount for furniture I just purchased and they were picking up for me while I was at work. He refused to look up the carbon copy of my receipt or look up my cars transaction.

It took 2 weeks to get my furniture that they said it would take a week, then got my furniture and it was the wrong color. I kept the furniture because it didnt look bad, but wont deal with them again. The delivery guys were the only good experience I had with this company. The sales people are smooth talkers, be aware.

Great, place to furnish a new place. Got everything I needed from couch to dining table at an amazing price with amazing service.

Started off on good terms and happy. Unfortunately customer service has become non existent waiting on a replacement damaged piece of furniture. Not only have I paid in full for a damaged piece, Pete who offered delivered, has had the replacement for over a month sitting in the warehouse. So here I sit, with almost a $500 piece I can not use. Extremely disappointed and have a asked for a refund and coincidentally I cannot get a call back. I will be issuing a dispute with my credit card company. Do yourself a favor and dont purchase from this place.

****UPDATE**** (from 1 star to 3)6-2-18I did have to purchase a mattress bag.(Home Depot) I did have to return the mattress to the store myself. (With the help of my son with his truck) But upon arriving I was greeted by Peter who remembered me from the original purchase. The mattress was exchanged without any hassle. We were in and out within 20 minutes. I will update again after use of the new mattress. At this time I am overall pleased with the transaction, although the telephone conversation we had this morning was strange, I believe he had me mixed up with another customer. Hopefully the new mattress will last a lot longer than the first one.Original review:My husband and I paid over $600 for what I thought would be a quality mattress. Weve had it for just under 6 months and its horrible! First of all it came with a little bubble in the middle but I let that go because I thought it was minor. But now the mattress is dipped on both sides with a huge bump in the middle. My husband and I both wake up in pain.I just called and Peter said to take a picture of the original receipt and send it to his phone along with the warranty card which is required he said. What warranty card?? So I sent the picture of the receipt and description of the problem. I was told I had to wrap the mattress in plastic, and return it myself along with original receipt and warranty card.

It is just ok, the first person help us, had the style of the 70s car sales person, annoying and not very respectful, I was almost leaving when another one came to help us. We end up buying what we need, but I am not feeling compelled to return. I really did not like people do not respect personal space, specially on this times, and not using masks when every one else was using, and treating me like I am his family. Give me a break.

I was in the Martinez area and decided to see if I could find this location again since my co-worker and I are both in the market for a few new furniture pieces. Found the place as easy as years ago and the owner Peter was available and explained that during weekdays you can come in by appointment only and weekends have open availability but was more than happy to accomodate on the spot. Not only was Peter friendly and funny but when I showed him items id already scheduled for purchase elsewhere he was able to find the same items for a much cheaper price. Awesome service and prices!! So glad I came in today.

Prices That Blow Ashley Furniture Outta The Water

Staff wayyyy too bogged down in customers with other customers. They were polite and helpful. But I was asked to sit down and wait for one of them to free up. After 15 minutes I gave up and left. They were kind but need more staff during peak hours. Like, hire a 4hr a day kid to help get through the hump.

I visited the location several months ago in Fall on 2019 and placed an order. Delivery was suppose to be within 4-6 weeks.- It took OVER 3 MONTHS. Delivery times are limited with hardly any flexibility. MFD will ONLY delivery to an area once they have multiple in that area.Ex, if you live in San Jose, theyll only deliver once theyve compiled multiple deliveries in San Jose OR if San Jose is in the same direction of other deliveries. Why the delay in delivery and inconvenience when they charge each customer a delivery fee?!All my items didnt arrive with delivery.Its March of 2020 and Im STILL WAITING FOR A PILLOW PROMISED TO ME as a courtesy due to inconvenience of delayed delivery.After several attempts of contacting the former manager, AND OWNER Peter, there STILL hasnt been any solid arrangements.- Just broken promises.Peter himself, the OWNER has yet to keep his word.Marinez Furniture Direct is very disorganized!

My husband and I bought a mattress from this business. The mattress lasted about 5 months before a crease in the middle began to form. It was very difficult to sleep on. We would roll into the middle and so we had to return it. A mattress should last longer than 5 months. Although, we had the worst experience with Peter, the owner. The mattress is under warranty and we went to talk with him one day and he told us he would do his best to help us but we needed to wrap the mattress in plastic and bring it by so that they could assess the damage. We let him know that we would be back the next day. We went the next day and he asked us if we had an appointment. We were surprised because no one had mentioned that we needed to make an appointment. He had told us to wait outside and we did for a while then we went to wait inside. He rudely came up to us and asked why we were inside. He said that he had told us to wait outside and we asked him why. He just ignorantly said, “because that is what I said.” He kept repeating that ridiculous excuse. We told him that we were paying customers just like everyone else inside the business. Many people were inside but for some odd reason that he couldn’t express to us, we needed to wait outside. We asked him why he did not tell us the day befor that we needed an appointment because we would have made one. He said that he thought he told us. It was such a lie because why did we not have an appointment then? He was so rude, he got into an argument with my husband. We feel racially profiled because of the way he treated my husband, who is Brazilian; his English is not the best. He was treating us different than the other customers. He was kicking us out to wait outside. We would not recommend this business to anyone. Peter is good at selling, but he cheats you if you have any issues and need help with the warranty. To be honest, you’d have a better experience finding a mattress on the freeway.

All sales are final, which means you will never get your money back if you are not satisfied. I strongly suggest you not to visit this place and get cheated. NEVER GO to this place.

I think this is not the best place to buy furniture to your home/office. They sell very cheap quality products but portray it as best. I felt very vexed and made me saddened the way they deal with me so that made me to post here. Probably you can get a better deals though in IKEA.
