Rick and his crew are awesome! Highly recommend. They know what they are doing. Rick will do you good on pricing too. My engine computer had went out, I could not have asked for better service and price. They back their work up too. Rick does it all, except tires and alignment. A little over a year ago, my F150 kept losing her gears. It was like shed be stuck in Neutral. One day she barely made it to Tranco and they completely rebuilt the transfer case. They were very quick and thorough with her. Today shes still running as strong as the day she rolled out of their shop. I highly recommend this shop. Friendly, quick, thorough & they get the job done.

The guys at tranco r awesome. Super professional. No bs and no surprise. Vavoline relies on a faulty system to replace cvt fluid and left my trans 2-3qt low on fluid. After recommending tranco they tried not to pay them. Valvoline is a joke and I will not be goin back. For 10 dollars more for the service than vavoline ill definitely be goin back to tranco. Tranco can actually check their work where as vavoline can not.. which makes no sense to how theyr even allowed to do the service. Rick i thank u for all ur help. U and ur guys r awesome

Rick Snell at Tranco has a great transmission shop. Rick and his folks took great care of our 2005 Jeep Liberty. We had over 200,000 miles on the vehicle when the transmission started giving us trouble.Tranco diagnosed and provided details of the repairs needed. Work was completed in the time frame and price discussed. Tranco provides a warranty and asks you to bring the vehicle back for a free check after a certain time to check the transmission to make sure there are no issues. Good people and good work.

Prompt service and finished when they said they would is worth a lot. This was the first repair shop that said they would diagnose the issue instead of just installing a remanufactured transmission into it. Talk to Rick, hes a straight up guy.

Worst experience ever! I had a small leak and after 6 times at their shop the leak was worse! After contacting them and being ghosted by them, I Never went back for trip number 7... found a reliable mechanic that fixed it in an hour!

Yeah I took my vehicle down to have transmission looked at and they said that I had a misfire in my engine and without me giving them authorization they tore down my engine to the point where all I had sitting left inside of my car was a block everything else was sitting in the back of the car didnt authorize it then they turned right around and charged me for it for them doing something that I didnt even authorize and I had to pay a storage fee on top of that

I had a truck leaking transmission fluid towed here for a free estimate. I did not get the work done and just selling it as is, so I can’t speak to the actual work. But I can speak to the friendliness over the phone, the information kindly being shared and explained, promptness of their call back with the results within 48 hours. They allowed me to leave the truck there for a little longer than I anticipated because I had an accident & couldn’t get down there right away. I have an older Lincoln which had an off again - on again issue. ( it had issues when I drove it and no one else. The first shop cost $700 to fix the problem and it reoccur the same day I picked it up. Even and Rick were total professionals. They spent way more time figuring out the problem then they probably got paid for. They fought my repair insurance company repeatedly. Everything they did was professional and first rate. I completely recommend them without reservation.

Took them a used transmission I purchased for them to inspect and make recommendations. I had no idea of its history or condition, they could have totally taken advantage of me but after their complimentary internal inspection they gave it a clean bill of health. Rick and Brian were friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. Could not be happier with the outcome and will be recommending them to a friend tomorrow.

Fixed my engine oil leak by replacing leaking rear main oil seal assembly, 4wd Yukon. Excellent work, had to pull xfer case & trans in order to fix.Rebuilt/upgraded another 4wd trans in my Tahoe.If I could give them 6 stars I would. This is the only place I will go for repairs from this point forward.

I love tranco they have treated me and my Chevy with so much love and respect, they have done the best work I could possibly get. I heavily advice everyone to take there vehicles there and you wont be disappointed! Trust them they wont disappointed.

Ive had several dealings with Tranco and the customer service there is outstanding. Without spamming this review with too many details, I had a few long overdue repair issues with my 1995 F-250, and it took some time to get it all worked out, but they were focused on taking care of me every step of the way. Definitely recommend them.

Went to them bc my transmission needed to be rebuilt. Rick was amazing ! 1 year later my Nissan Pathfinder is still running strong. I will not use anyone else. Could not be any happier.

Im only giving Tranco 5 stars because it wont allow me to give 6 stars.I called Tranco yesterday with what I thought was transmission problems in my 2003 Chevy Avalanche. Spoke to Rick who said bring it over and well check it out. Took it over and Rick drove it around the block, while I waited for the bad news. When he got back he said that it was just he u-joints and not too expensive. They got me in and out in the same day and didnt suggest any unnecessary repairs. Ill be going back to Tranco and giving them referrals.

Worst experience ever!! Rick was very rude and disrespectful. I had a simple flywheel job done, they took transmission out to do so now my 2nd and 2rd gear is sticking horribly, wont even go into 3rd gear now. Car is not even drive to drive. Worst experience ever! Customer service is horrible! Highly would not recommend you bring your car to this particular shop. You will regret it, I certainly do!!!!

Worst experience of my life. Not only did they not fix my transmission after two tries, they broke my radiator, which was fairly new, and they forgot to rehook a component which hit my fan belt (we fixed fixed that). Nothing that went wrong was their fault. Radiator just happened to break, transmission was the part peoples fault.... And yes they made me pay for the radiator. $3,000 and two weeks of empty promises later and we had no choice but to buy a new car. They didnt seem to care a bit that they took food off my kids table, wasted my money and my time. I wouldnt listen to any these reviews, because they may be good most of the time, but, when you mess up, and we all mess up, how you respond means more to me and shows their true character. I had to give them one star to write a review but I wanted to give no stars. I get sick every time I think about it.

The guys at Tranco do great work. I had a transmission problem that was complicated and costly, but they made the repair for a price that was affordable. Theyre up-front with information, and keep you informed throughout the entire repair. If you want quality transmission repair, this is the place to take your vehicle.

Owner is not nice and was very disrespectful. Quoted me a price after inspecting our Ford Focus then as he was working on the car called me and said it was gonna be about double the price as the first quote. Did you inspect the car? We brought it in thinking it was a transmission problem come to find out it was a flywheel. He change the flywheel and he said he had to drop the transmission. Now that he dropped the transmission our seal has a leak where he did not properly put it back on. Beware of this guy all I am saying. Please please please BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!

Took my suv in to have the trans looked at,told me they did a check on the engine and that i had 2 bad cylinders. Told them to talk to the warranty place. Long story short they tore my engine apart without my consent,didnt fix the problem and charged me for labor i didnt authorize and also storage fees from the time I took it in. Simple check cost $1400.00 and I still had to fix my car cause the parts they gave me was also bad. Dont go there,the owner is an ass and rick is a lier. Dont go there they will rob you blind,thats how he gets those vehicles he sells.

I had the transmission for a 2001 Honda Civic EX remanufactured at Tranco, and it took less than 2 days of labor. They offered me a 1 year, 10,000 mile parts and labor warranty, for no additional cost. As I understand it, this is standard fair at Tranco.There are cheaper shops in Blount County. But I dont feel that Tranco is overpriced at all. Especially for service that you get from the staff there. Communication is clear and timely, and if you have a question or dont understand something, they dont talk down to you when they explain whats going on. Overall an amazing experience. I would absolutely recommend them, 100%.

Rip off I was charged $2400 and transmission never was right . They said the over drive light was flashing and would go off after break in I was told this till the warranty was out. Looks like they were wrong. Time to find a shop that will stand behind their work not this place.

I recently had a major transmission issue with my 2005 Dodge Dakota and almost waited too long before getting repairs performed. I knew it would most likely take an entire rebuild to resolve the issue so I kept putting it off due to the amount that it would cost. I discovered Tranco by accident and checked the reviews online. I took my truck to them hoping they would be able to give me good news and tell me it wasnt as serious as I thought. While I didnt get the great news that I was looking for, Rick did a great job in explaining what he thought the problem was and how it led to other major problems. I never doubted that he was being honest and loved the warranty they offer (12 months/12,000 miles). Yes, I could have gotten the work cheaper other places, but Rick explained that Tranco doesnt do a simple rebuild, instead they perform a remanufacture. He explained to me that a remanufactured unit must, by law, meet or exceed OEM standards where a rebuild isnt required to meet any standards at all. Dodge trucks arent known for having the best transmissions from the factory so I didnt really know what to expect. The minute I drove it away from Tranco the first thing I noticed was that I now have quite a bit more power to the wheels. It didnt take too long to notice a major increase in fuel economy either. I also learned that Tranco is also a full service shop that offers all other automotive services. If I ever need anything done, Im going to Tranco.

I called at 8 am on Tuesday and brought in my BMW. The boys at Tranco tested my transmission and concluded the issue to be the clutch on my vehicle. Im very mechanically savy and the boys at Tranco handled my clutch replacement without a hitch. Rick quoted a price and after all was said and done it was the price quoted that I paid. By 1 pm on Wednesday my vehicle had been repaired and has never operated better. They gave me a one year 12000 mile warranty and I couldnt have been happier. Rick is a trustworthy individual and I felt 100% comfortable with their quote. Granted they werent the cheapest quote I recieved but I chose them based on the level of customer service and am glad I did!!!!!!! Not only did they answer any question I had they were able to accomodate the special requests I needed based upon my schedule. I would recommend Tranco to ANYONE needing transmission work. Customer service is one of the best bar none!!!!!!!
