After all of the reviews and months of research, we decided to use ECG for our new kitchen countertops. Our sales rep was extremely helpful and unfortunately everything after that fell apart. We had new cabinets to install so we placed a deposit on the countertops and was to call back and schedule measurements once cabinets were installed. We called twice and after a week received a return call to schedule the templating. The template guy came on time and was wonderful and helpful to work with. A week after that, my husband received a text requesting install the next day at 1:30. After taking off work and sitting at home until 3:00 waiting for the installer, I received a phone call from Jose inquiring about our layout. I set up an appointment at 9:00am to do the layout the next morning. I arrived at 8:50am and after multiple people coming in for work and 30 minutes, someone finally came over to tell me it would be a “few more minutes”. At 9:35 the guy came to the showroom to take me out to do the layout. Once out there, he kept trying to convince me to lay out the template so that they could salvage the largest piece of slab and the graining would be “going the same way” on perpendicular pieces. After much convincing, I finally got him to place the templates where I wanted them. They called a few days later and scheduled to install between 3pm and 7pm on Friday. I received a call at 11:30 from Jose asking if they could come in an hour and was happy to get it done early. Only the installers didn’t show until almost 2:00!!! They were quick and efficient with the install but did not center my sink, which I didn’t notice until I went to put the faucet in. I immediately called Jose back (the installers had not been gone longer than 10 minutes). He proceeded to treat me like I was an idiot (even saying he has been doing granite for a long time and I didn’t know what I was talking about)....clearly this because I am female was his characterization. After 15 minutes on the phone and texting him photos of the problem did he realize he was wrong(ha!) and agree to come by later in the afternoon himself to correct the issue. Well- I am still waiting on him to show up so I will update when he does also he has no “pocket dialed” me from his cell phone 3 times while I’m typing the review and I can hear drills in the background......just be warned- something has changed here and clearly they are disorganized. If you have an issue and don’t happen to save the cell phone number of the person who called/text you, you will be given the run around as no one answering phones seems to know what is taking place. Kudos to our salesman though - he was extremely helpful!

ECG ruined our new kitchen renovation costing us thousands more dollars in repairs. We purchased granite and marble and were very clear as to where we needed these counters installed and in what style. They cut both pieces incorrectly, put in an unsightly seam, did not put in the u-shaped overhang on our new island and damaged our expensive back splash. We were treated with a there is nothing we can do to help you attitude after our many emails and calls asking for them to fix what they had done wrong. Highly disappointed and warning not to use this company!!!

My wife and I decided to remodel our 40+ year old kitchen. We had a fantastic experience with Victoria, Gregory and Dan at East Coast Granite. We worked with the ECG team to design both granite counter tops and cabinets for our remodeled kitchen. Toli and Freddy did a great job with the cabinet insulation. They were neat and proficient taking only one day for a scheduled 2 day install. Carlos helped us with the pattern layout. he gave us suggestions and tips to get the best out of the slab of granite. Carlos and team did a fantastic with the install and the were quick. Was introduced to East Coast Granite of Charlotte at the Spring Garden Show. Representative Stuart Rosen was very helpful. I had measurements of counter tops and He was able to provide me with an estimate on the spot. Stuart followed up next week and worked with wife and I through the entire process. We love our new counter tops, service was great and they turned out even better than expected. Their price was great and we went with Blue Flower leathered look granite

We decided to upgrade our kitchen after 20+ years of looking at the same old style. We searched various websites and checked reviews and East Coast Granite consistently received praise and high reviews. And we are very pleased to add another one.I visited their showroom in Matthews and was greeted by Janice, who would work with me through the entire process. She was busy with another customer, so she told me to look around. The showroom is modern and beautiful, and I didnt even know where to begin! We picked a quartz slab for the countertop and found coordinating backsplash and floor tile. Janice recommended I visit a place called MSI Stone to pick up samples, so I could have them to review in my home. I was happy to have those, as I changed my mind several times after seeing how all the areas and colors looked together, or didnt. After making our final selection, we met with Janice to go over the contract, and the installation timeline. The contact is very specific about what to expect, and what we had to do to prepare the areas for the workers to begin. Once the work began it was like a well oiled machine. The template was made for the countertops, and cut to exact specifications, and laid out beautifully. The countertop installers were careful and courteous, and finished up quickly. We received a call the day of the backsplash installation that the crew was running behind. When they arrived, I thought surely they would not finish that day, but to my surprise, a few hours later and they invited me in to see the finished project. The floor tile installation hit a snag when the installers arrived and it was discovered the wrong size tile was ordered. I called Janice and she quickly contacted the company to remedy the error. It would be another 3 weeks, but that was OK, as I was specific about what we wanted. When we got the call that the new tile was in, less than 2 weeks actually, we set up a day to have the crew begin. When they began to demo the floor, they discovered the floor was uneven and would have to fix it before they could lay the tile. Denis, the project lead, let me know about the additional cost, which was more than reasonable. Unfortunately this added an extra day to the flooring install, but we would rather have the work done properly than quickly. Once it was time for the tile to be laid, the men worked carefully, cutting and laying each piece with precision. On the final day the grout work was completed and finishing mouldings were added. I watched the men cleaning up the grout and was impressed at how meticulous they were to inspect every grout line, and clean up every flaw. When they finished they were courteous to clean up all their work areas. I did the final inspection, and assured them that we were more than pleased with the beautiful work they had done. I noticed the men wearing shirts that read Iron Mountain Stone and Tile, so I wanted to give a huge shout out to them for employing such skilled craftsmen. This team was first rate, as were all the teams we worked with during this renovation. I paid them the final balance, and once they left I was free to revel in the beauty of my new kitchen. I would also like to add that this project came in under our budget, which was not exorbitant, but we were able to get exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price.Thank you to Janice, and everyone at East Coast Granite for giving me the kitchen of my dreams!

I have updated my review to reflect my 2nd experience with ECG. Between the first and second transaction it was like doing business with a completely different place. The ball was dropped on every single step of the way.Management really needs to get their Team communicating 100% better than currently. This lack of organization and process has created a headache for your Customers. My wife literally lost a whole day waiting around only to find out at the end of the day the job was a no go. This is after missed estimates, missed confirmation calls and everything being last minute. 3 different confusing quotes for what should have been much easier than our first job.To make it even better, the installers cut the holes in the granite right beside my wifes new car that got delivered the day before.I would recommend spending a little more and going somewhere that has it together. They took all the Joy out of these this project for us.

Weve used East Coast Granite for quite a few outdoor kitchen areas and they always turn out great.Working with Stuart Rosen is always enjoyable as he returns calls, is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer all questions.The design center has plenty of granite and marble slabs to choose from and their template/production crew have always completed our projects within the timeframe.
