Be prepared to wait 30 mins in their line every single time. I am sure they tell people they can wait for their prescription when they just asked to have it filled because one time I had just asked to have something filled and I was asked if I wanted to wait at the window for it but that it would be 15/20 mins. So instead of instructing people to come back, they are allowed to just sit there waiting their time at the window, while everyone else waits in like behind them. Of course I think they should change doing this and ask those who are just placing their prescription to come back or wait in the parking lot.

I can’t recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I’ve been coming here to get a monthly prescription refilled and too often they do not have it to refill when I need. On top of that they never tell you until you show up and then all they say is come back and try tomorrow or sorry maybe in a couple more days. Unprofessional and very inconvenient and I personally don’t appreciate how they disregard and waste your time.
This Walgreens has the best employees! The store is clean, neat, and organized. They have their inventory in stock. They go above and beyond as their daily routine.
I just fired Walgreens in Mechanicsville for prescriptions (and probably everything else). For 8 consecutive months they have screwed up my prescription that is supposed to be on automated renewal. 4-5 times during this time, I have been told by a different person, including one of the pharmacists, that it had been corrected. I would continue to run out and have nothing ready. When I call or go by, they have nothing on order. This month, I even got a text that is was ready...went up there, and nothing there. Im sure the individual people are nice in there, but their system is completely screwed up. When I called my doctor to switch pharmacies, they said they never use Walgreens anyway...guess I was late to the show.
I just wanted to say that Ashley is the best she helped we with a very special photo for my sons graduation! It was of him and his dad that passed away a few years ago! She went above and beyond to help me make sure it was perfect! I went back a few days later and once again she helped we with everything! She is truly amazing! Thank you Ashley for everything!

Unprofessional and under staffed
The pharmacist Emily was rude and downgrading. I asked her various questions and she responded to me in a condescending tone and manner, as if she didn’t want to help me. She needs to learn proper customer service skills. I will be making a switch to another pharmacy. Please take note: take your business elsewhere.
Friendly service and often has great sale prices. When my insurance changed and wouldnt pay for a maintenance medication, they did a great job advising me on how to get it resolved. Sometimes have to wait a little longer on scripts, as the pharmacy always seems very busy. Its best to drop off and come back. Convenient location and nice people though.
Called in to update my insurance information to the pharmacy and a lady answered (didn’t get her name)my call but she seemed to be annoyed or had an “attitude” or some thing. The tone of her voice wasn’t to friendly as she was describing the details of updating insurance policy. I told her that u have an I’d care with info on it.. anyways toward the. End of the call, she seemed a little snooty and after I gave her the info she needed, she abruptly ended the call . I’m not sure what’s going on .. whether or not she was having a bad day but I felt that she didn’t handle the call in a friendly manner.
My wife went in recently and tried to use a coupon for candy.The person in front of her used the same coupon with no issues.When my wife tried to use the same coupon it didn’t scan correctly so the attendant contacted the manager to come to the front and help.That manager which I don’t know who’s name however they were on shift October 1 2018 at 7:45Yelled at my wife that she was committing fraud and trying to steal from the store.The coupon is correct, in date, and didn’t exclude the item she was trying to purchase.I wish I had the managers name if anybody could help with that I’d appreciate it.I will be contacting the next highest chain of command as this type of behavior will not fly.Not to me, not to my wife or anybody.I called the manager and spoke to her. I tried to get her name which she denied so I explained I will be going to corperate.There are so many more people that could not only do a better job, but do it happily.
The manger named Rachel lost her mind I heard her say Thank you for.the Coranavirusas I left she was acting like she was on drugs too. I also heard her complaining about a customer calling her and she was mocking his accent fire this woman fast.
We were visiting family from out of town and had to have a prescription filled on Christmas day. Terrific customer service from Joe, who is on their pharmacy staff. I was very grateful for his kindness.
Literally the SLOWEST pharmacy I have ever used. The only reason I keep coming to this location is because they seem to be the only one in the area that carries the meds I need. They are very nice but the service is so slow it doesnt make up for that. Every time I am it takes at least 20 minutes to pick up ONE medication.
I see what I believe to be several terrible reviews that are utterly without warent in my experience. I am in this location at least once a month, at different times of the day (usually). Imagine my surprise when I pull them up on google this morning, to confirm their hours. When I see all of these folks saying how nasty folks there are. I have NEVER had a remotely bad experience in this store. Not in the store part or the pharmacy. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. And a 15 min prescription fill is usually only about ten min. This morning, they had barely gotten their day going when I arrived to fill a prescription after getting off of work. As usual the staff was top notch, polite, friendly, and helpful. I was greeted with a good morning as I walked in the store (another “usual” occurrence) and the nice young man in the pharmacy was courteous and said it would be about 15 min. It was less than ten. I’m terrible with names, but he was a younger fellow with tattoos on his arms (very tastefully done) and dreadlocks (which I must say, looked like a good choice for him, and his hair was very neat) not all crazy looking like you see sometimes these days. I stopped for a bottle of water on my way out and was assisted at the counter by a perfectly wonderful woman who was all of the things I have stated earlier, that I associate with this store. We had a pleasant conversation, about this very subject (the unnecessarily negative reviews that some sad folks feel necessary to right). And if the higher ups and wall green would like to talk to me about my appearant different experiences in this store feel free. I really need to pay more attention to names, I really wish I could give these wonderful people the credit they’re truly due.Long story short. Don’t hesitate to do business with this store.
Ever since this Walgreens took over Rite Aid and Martins pharmacy there inventory has gone down hill. I have 11 prescriptions I take a month and have been taking them for a few years I get them the same time every month and they always are out of stock with 2-3 of my prescriptions WHY they know when I get them so you would think they would have them in stock before I get them.
Very nice new location. Clean and friendly. I prefer the CVS, but if you are a Walgreens fan, this is a good one.
It was at 7:15 am, and Cory was very helpful, smiling, very friendly and so sweet to me (I was very sleepy and wasnt making a whole lot of since)
Absolutely the most insulting customer service I have ever received. I was told by the young lady at 10:16 pm that it would take 30 minutes to fill my wifes prescription, who is laying at home with our 2 children with the flu. I proceeded to wait 30 minutes, no call or text as I requested when the order was ready. Then I waited another 15 minutes which put us at closing time. I pulled back up to see what was going on and the young blond girl and I assume her manager with the brown hair and beard, completely ignored me. They would make eye contact and then go straight back to what they were doing. They didnt even have the decency to speak to me through the speaker. I would hope Walgreens trains their employees, who are the face of their company, in customer service skills and hold them to a higher standard than what was demonstrated tonight.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. I am a regular customer of CVS across the road, CVS said they would fill the prescription in 2 days, I thought of checking out Walgreen across the road. Walgreen said they would fill it in less than 2 days, will text me and call when it is ready. 7 days passed by they neither called nor texted me..And, when I asked in person the pharmacist on staff, she was absolutely cluless what was going on. And no help was offered. I immediately took the original prescription away and gave it back to CVS. This pathetic Walgreen store has extremely poor customer service and support. Same applies to buying any over the counter drugs also, you have to find it yourself. Kindly stay away from this Walgreen unless you have a lot of spare time to kill.

The staff has been rude and seem to have an issue whenever I have a refill. I had to call corporate to resolve the issue between Walgreens on Chamberlayne and the one on Mechanicsville. Both locations were working against me.
Very rude workers. Seemed to me like they didnt have time for me. Wouldnt recommend and Im not going back.
