The bagels were delicious, I arrived a few hours after opening so there wasnt a big variety of bagels available. I would suggest ordering online in advance, this way you have more options

Really nice bagels. It is unclear how they get so many seeds (poppy, sesame, everything, etc.) on the bagels (every bit of the bagel including the bottoms are covered) but it sure is good. The dough is nicely moist. No, these are not a huge big fat bagel like an H&H but so what? If that’s what you crave then this is not the right place for you. Fine bagels and worth the drive to get them. Friendly service (curbside). Good mask compliance by staff and customers on the line to pick up.

I live down the road from Goldilox and man if it isnt extremely tempting to order from them every weekend. Recently got the asiago cheese bagels. I hope these become a staple because I would easily order a dozen a week.Service is super friendly. Everytime I walk by, whether to get an order or just with my dog, the people bringing out curbside pick up say and are so kind. I just need them to make dog friendly bagels and then my pup can enjoy them as much as I do.

I’m from NY and am forever missing NY bagels but I’d put these bagels up against my favorite NY places. If the bagels weren’t already amazing, the staff is so kind and helpful. Today, I made the dumb mistake of placing my order for the wrong day and they still made it for me even with a long line. This is such a great addition to Medford. Run, don’t walk.

Honestly some of the best bagels of my life. They must be using some sorcery to make sure that the everything bagels are 100% coated in the everything seasoning. Would recommend to anyone that is trying to level up their bagel game.

I love NY bagels!! Saw this place on the Phantom Gourmet on Saturday morning & ordered some bagels for Sunday morning 8am pick up. Arrived at 7:30 & waited outside in the car. An employee taking out the trash noticed us & asked if we were waiting & what our name was. He quickly brought out our dozen bagels with 2 extra plains thrown in & thanked us. The bagels were amazing! Our family of 5 ate half of them the first day. Size & texture is great. Friendly service. I will definitely be going back!

A hidden gem - best bagels in the Boston area

I had been wanting to try this place for quite some time after reading favorable news articles on it. I finally got the chance a couple of months ago and havent missed a weekend to go since. Their bagels are top notch and easily the best in the North Shore. You can tell the owners care based on how they represent themselves online and by the ingredients they use in their product. We had a small error in our most recent order, and the way it was handled was truly a masterclass on how customer service should be. My wife and look forward to coming here every weekend because of how great it is. If you havent tried Goldilox yet, now is the time!

Phenomenal bagels! Especially the everything flavor. Wonderful doughy texture with crispy and bubbly skin. Lovely service everyone was very nice. The coffee on the other hand; the lids don’t fit on the cups properly and the coffee itself was mediocre. Not much flavor and there were coffee grounds of the bottom of the cup. Other than that, everything was amazing.

Our favorite bagel place in the Boston area! The bagels here are exceptional. Our favorites include the rosemary salt, garlic salt and everything bagels. The veggie cream cheese was also very good, packed with loads of veggies. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic!!! The Are You Ready to Lox is excellent. The sesame bagel is soo good. It is worth the wait and such a great addition to Medford. The coffee au lait is excellent. The staff are super friendly and it is a fun place to eat. I know it is a small operation but it would be great if they could add sable or sturgeon on the weekends.

A tiny little place with tremendous bagels. I cant pick a favorite, all the bagels are delicious.

These bagels are incredible, tasty and light and work by themselves, with a smear of Goldilox great in house cream cheeses, or as a sandwich. These guys get busy on weekends so parking at their location can be difficult, but worth the try if that is the only time you can make it.

Rosemary salt bagel is my fave, but all of the options are great. They have had a wonderful response to covid.

Goldilox has the best bagels around, works very hard to keep up with the COVID regulations and still provide stellar service, and is representative of everything a neighborhood business should be! Last weekend I went to pick up my curbside bagels and found myself with a dead battery (reminder to not park in front of driveways while youre picking up your bagels, folks!) A Goldilox staff member (perhaps the owner?) called Triple A for me because she said it would be faster than calling my insurance company. These people genuinely care, and you can tell from their overall helpful manner to the love they put into their bagels and their business! Thanks, Goldilox :)

I am particular about my bagels, and these are the finest bagels Ive found in Massachusetts (perhaps anywhere). They have some fun and adventurous varieties like Rosemary Salt, but they dont slack on the standards and make a great Sesame. COVID-era pickup is a breeze. I cant recommend this place enough!

Truly one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve experienced. They have a great system to online order and have everything brought out to the car. One sandwich was missing from the bag and they were super quick to make it right and even added extra bagels. Highly recommend. Rosemary & salt bagel is next level

These bagels are pretty good because their boiled and baked. Im originally from NY, so Goldilox bagels are much thinner, but more expensive. Recently I visited family in Brooklyn NY and I purched a bakers dozen for 13 bucks. Im basing my rating on comparison of a real NY bagel, cost, quality, and just weekend availability.

Theyve been open a year now, and despite the challenges of starting a food service place, multiplied by the chaos of 2020, they have continued to adapt to serving their customers and running a business. Neither is an easy task. Do they make mistakes? I imagine...dont we all? Do they do pretty much everything within reason to rectify issues and learn from them? The answer is evident. Recommended on many levels....

Overpriced and overrated. The rosemary salt bagel was good, but the chai latte had very little flavor.

To start off, we are thrilled with the quality of the bagels and the service that Goldilox provides. Last night @ around 1am, we realized that we had placed an order for Sunday morning and were preparing to leave that (Saturday) morning to go up north to get out of the city during quarantine. We thought it was a long shot but we texted anyways to see if they could reschedule our pick up of a small order, 1/2 dozen bagels, from Sunday morning to Saturday morning to accommodate our last minute trip. Not only did they get back to us @ 4 am, but also, they were very kind and agreed to let us pick them up that morning. All and all, a great experience & we love their bagels & the Bear Butter!!!! ❤️

Great experience! They have very safe protocols for COVID. You can preorder online and pickup curbside in your car.The everything bagels are really tasty and soft inside. As an NJ native, I wish they were a bit more fluffy/tall, but they definitely fulfill any bagel cravings we have. Goldilox is the best in the Medford/Somerville area and we’re really glad they opened here!

Goldilox bagels has helped me get through the 2020 pandemic! I walk there every Friday with my stroller to pick up fresh pre-ordered bagels. They are taking precautions seriously and I always feel safe, even with infants. The bagels are delicious! The cinnamon raisin are delightful and their jalapeño cream cheese on just about any other bagel flavor is top notch. My mom visited from New York a few weeks back and she said “Wow! These bagels are amazing!”. Not to mention the staff is super friendly and they truly care about the community. :-) Couldn’t recommend enough!

Their bagels are delicious! I had an everything with toasted topping cream cheese and it was so flavorful and yummy! I was with 3 other people that all loved what they got as well. The people working there seem very chill and nice and the woman that took our order had beautiful eye makeup! Will definitely go again!

Goldilox serves nice freshly made bagels made the old-fashioned way. I had a sausage, egg and cheese on a poppy bagel which was awesome. Nice cream cheese selection like veggie and pumpkin. Great coffee. Owners are there on-site. Service prompt and courteous.

I tried this shop out the day it opened, but wanted to revisit once or twice before reviewing. All good things! Theyve worked out first-opening kinks and have gotten control of the shop. On top of that, they are super friendly and accommodating. Their lines are a testament to the quality, but the lines are moving more and more quickly with experience.The bagels themselves are awesome. I took for granted having a good bagel a couple times a week while living in Brooklyn only to be dissatisfied once I moved to the Boston area. This shop fills that void perfectly. Youve got to try their specials and Are You Ready to Lox has become an instant favorite of mine. Capers are a wonderful touch!Keep it up, guys!

Yummy! My boss brought some of these to work last week and I had to go back and try another for myself. Not a big bagel person but who knew rosemary and salt would be my jam. Go with a buddy so someone can circle the block since there isn’t really parking. Get a cookie 👌🏾

Dang was that a good bagel. Being from NJ Im quite particular about my bagels but it was the perfect balance of crisp exterior and doughy inside. Will definitely inhale one of these again soon. No pictures because I ate it far too quickly...whoops.

I was there opening weekend, waited in line expecting nothing more than to support a new local business. But let me tell you...These. Bagels. Are. Magical.They have an amazing selection of flavors (if you get there early enough before they sell out!) and awesome topping and sandwich options. And dont miss out on their delicious cookies!

Best bagel sandwich, soft enough to bite through, crispy & chewy. Ive been getting bacon, & egg & cheese on sesame bagels. Their eggs are real, cooked to order & accompany this sandwich delicately and deliciously with soft, quality, melty cheese. I didnt know bagel sandwiches could be so good. Very nice coffee too. I love going here. Worth the wait, although more often than not Ive not had to wait.

These bagels are excellent. Waited about 15 minutes in line on a Saturday morning but it was worth it. Prices for bagel sandwiches are pretty good since they’re so fresh. The counter help is attentive. Only negative is not enough indoor seating.

Ive been here three times, and only once was I lucky enough to get myself a breakfast sandwich on the only bagel they had left in stock. The other two times I came here they had nothing left. The food is definitely amazing, but if youre a late riser like I am, despite their being open until 2pm, dont expect a bagel any time after 11:30am.

Bagels had the perfect texture (chewy inside) and awesome topping coverage (360!). The everything bagel was way too salty, however. Interesting cream cheese flavors, decent selection of breakfast bagel sammies and fancy coffee selections. I was excited for the pesto cream cheese but it had an off flavor. The garlic cream cheese and the toasted everything cream cheese were good! Overall positive experience and will be back for more. Putting out requests for onion, garlic and cheese topped bagels!!

Unique pop-up in an area of Medford seemingly lacking in breakfast options. The fresh bagels are incredible, as is the smoked salmon they put on their bagel with lox. This morning/afternoon spot will run out of bagels on occasion, and frequently has lines out the door. Going early is key!

My boyfriend and I love Goldilox. My go to is a rosemary salt bagel with garlic cream cheese.

Brought bagels to the office. Everyone loved them. The toasted topping cream cheese was delicious. I should have bought 2 dozen. The chocolate chip cookies were a big hit too!

Been watching this place build up while passing by on my way to work for months now and was so excited to get to finally try some of their bagels, and was not at all disappointed. I got an everything bagel with plain cream and they absolutely nailed it. Phenomenal bagel, really nice dark blistered crust, chewy but also soft inside, and the cream cheese was so tangy and delicious. Honestly even their everything seasoning was great, salty and flavorful and just perfect. I’ve seen some people complain that there’s not enough cream cheese but that was not my experience. Thank goodness that there’s finally a great bagel place nearby, I will find a way to build a trip here into my week going forward.

Good place to get bagels

Delicious fresh baked bagels on a small unassuming corner in Medford! They just recently opened so lines on the weekend, but they seem to move fast. The rosemary salt bagel is their specialty and quite good! Staff was friendly too! Great addition to the neighborhood.

Came here with my wife yesterday and got an everything bagel with cream cheese. Not being hyperbolic, best bagel Ive had in Boston. Toppings on both sides a huge plus, and textures on outside/inside were on point. Whenever I took trips home to NY I would stock up on bagels but dont feel like I need to anymore. Chocolate chip cookie was also great. Very happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Gem of a bagel establishment located in sleepy Medford neighborhood, but you wouldn’t think that with the audience it attracts! Stood in ~15min line outside on rainy Sunday morning — all worth it for their bagel sandwiches cooked to perfection, and coffee by Speedwell Coffee Company in Plymouth, MA.

Really good, tasty bagels. Be sure to get there early it seems they run out of some bagels early (Everything, Onion & Cinnamon Raisin were out at 10:15am).A few tables for sitting inside and an overall nice atmosphere. Parking is on side streets.It would be 5 stars if the coffee were better. The iced latte was all milk, and the iced coffee was weak and extremely watered down I had to discard it. Recommend getting hot coffee/lattes only.

I am super picky about bagels and this place doesn’t disappoint. They’re perfectly chewy and crispy at the same time, their jalapeño cream cheese has the perfect amount of bite and their coffee is always fresh.

The lines on weekends are long 45-60 minute wait, outside. I waited for a weekday, no line just a handful of customers inside. Some waiting for their order and some waiting to order. Now I know why the long lines. OMG are they slow. 5-6 people in front of me, still a 15-20 minute wait for 2 bagels, uncut, not toasted, just plain, throw them in a bag and Im gone. As for the bagels, they were good Ive had better Ive had worst. Bottom line, I really dont have the time to wait around for a $2 bagel. I may give it another shot and see if they get their act together theyre convenient..
