I recently purchased a bike from this store. I rode in the ACS bike a thon in September on another bike. I met the owner of Wheelies, Larry was volunteering that day repairing bikes that broke down. He repaired a flat tire that I had in record time. I waited about 30 years to participate in the bike a thon and because of him I was able to complete the 66 miles!I wanted to pay it forward and possibly purchase a bike from Larry. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. He found a bike for me that is perfect and now I can ride in style on a quality bike. Highly recommend checking this store out!

Great service. Found a bike for my daughter. She was sized up to make sure it was a good fit for her. Found a bike for myself and it was put together and ready for pickup the next day. I appreciate the time that was taken to ensure we had everything we needed and were purchasing the bikes that were right for us.

Extremely helpful! Let us borrow a crank-less bike for daughter to practice and variety and range of bikes outstanding. Always like choices when buying anything and Wheelies gave us a bunch.

They made my bike worse and Im still sorting it out 6 months later. Felt dealer, so I thought I was in good hands. Here is why Ill never go back.1: I requested a 12-25 cassette and they put an 11-25 on and I spent 2 months wondering if I needed a 19 cog. Then was told 11-25 is normal, helps you go faster, and they didnt think shim made one. Give me what I ask for.2: Returned bike with a loose cassette. Turns out the free hub bearing were damaged. The cassette was bit in so they likely killed the bearings. Either way, it was popping and making a racket so I had to replace the bearings. Dont give bikes back with loose cassettes.3: indexing has been horrible ever since my visit. I have been able to index my own bikes as its very easy. I found out tonight why it wont shift predictably. The cable housing at the bottom bracket is missing. Felt installs a mouse tail and wheelies throws it away. See pictures.4: amateur amounts of cable housing. Just garbage work quality.After going back to get a refund on the cassette they wanted me to have and ask why I was given the bike in such bad condition, they actually said I should have brought it back first. The amateur work and get it done right the second time is why anyone with a proper road bike should seek professional mechanics or just buy the tools yourself. 6 months later and as Im changing the wheelies jagwire cables for Shimano, I find the cables running over the bottom bracket guide with no housing. No wonder it shifts at random. You have been warned. So much for trying to support local business.I just noticed that they also installed the BB guide backwards. I cant believe you profitted off of this you clowns. Nothing more than thieves.

Went to get a flat fixed, they took me right away and got the problem fix right then and there. Definitely happy with the service today.

I wanted to write and thank Austen, Jason, and the Wheelies team for the prompt service in getting my brothers bike assembled and delivered to me in time for the Spellbound Century 2020 bike tour. I inherited the bike and had to have it shipped from California in July.I cant begin to tell you how much it meant to me to ride his bike for this event, especially as Team Captain. The bike performed flawlessly from start to finish.Thank you for all of your efforts to get the bike to me as quickly as possible and helping me outfit it with the appropriate accessories. I truly appreciat it and look forward to riding many miles with it and having it serviced at Wheelies like I do with my other bicycles.

Was going to pick up moms bike she special ordered today at the first chance after her heart procedure that we could get over there and it was sold to someone else after waiting 6 months for it. We have made calls to see if it was in during those six months and were excited to hear that it was finally in. We are disappointed to hear that the bike we ordered was sold to someone else. It would take months before we could get its replacement as it would have to be reordered so the original order had to be canceled. Saddened that we could not pick it up today because of it being sold to another.

We just came to the bike shop and the doors stated you were allowed to come in and look around... well the girl employee came out and told us they didn’t have any bikes.. so we went to walk in because it’s raining and she stops us at the door and made it so we couldn’t go into the store... like are you trying to sell bikes? Or I’m confused with this.. we just wanted to order a bike or talk to the Individual that’s orders bikes. We would have paid today! It’s crazy to see that kind of behavior. I have never had any issues coming here. We even know the girl patty that use to work there... it’s just strange... wouldn’t go back.

Great experience each time we visit. We have bought bikes, traded bikes, and had bikes repaired here. Everyone is really friendly and very knowledgable about the products and options. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!

Placed an order online for in stock bike over a week ago. Was supposed to be ready for pick up days ago. No one picks up the phone. No one answers emails. I get they are probably slammed right now but if you can accept the orders you can at least communicate when it will really be ready. Going to dispute the charge on my CC and take business somewhere else

Be careful before you order online!! We ordered a bike listed as “ in store stock “ on May 7. Two days later after multiple emails I received a reply that simply stated that the bike was sold out. They have charged my card and no refund has been issued 9 days later. No response from numerous emails. No contact, just an email saying it was sold out. Then he tells me it is there and to pick it up, only to say he emailed the wrong person and the bike is still unavailable and no refund! Insane. If you can’t handle the influx of business, stay closed!

When most businesses have an influx of business they hire more help to make a better customer experience. This company just stops answering phone calls and stops taking care of clients. Very unprofessional.

If I could give a negative 5 Stars I would. They had 2 bikes for tune-ups for over 6 weeks. I had a CONFIMRED (via email inquiry) pick up date. I show up two days after the confirmed pick up date, the bikes havent even been started. Nothing. No work on the bikes in 6+ weeks. Took them 30 minutes to find the bikes. Would never, ever go back. There is no reason anyone should go here. If you want to give a local business some business, think again. If you need a bike repair, go someplace else. If you want to buy a bike, go someplace else. I wouldnt spend $1.00 in this place. Mismanagement from the top down. This store doesnt answer the phone. The only communication available is via email. What communication exists is unreliable. The store is unreliable. Forgot to mention, their hours state that they are open until 5PM. I showed up yesterday at 3PM and the doors were locked - No one there. Maybe you guys should work normal business hours so you dont screw customers who placed their trust and confidence in you! 6+ weeks of summer biking fun lost here. One last thing. You may wonder if I got an apology...I did not. Pathetic. Inexcusable.

I have a 13 year old Raleigh Detour that had a lot of wear and tear. Wheelies installed new tires, chain, brake pads and brake repair. The bike rides really nice and Im very happy with Wheelies repairs. Id go back.

Absolutely the nicest bike shop people! I’ve purchased a lot of bikes in my 64 years and Larry was so helpful. He didn’t try to oversell my son on bikes for his twins. He made a balance bike for one child and will put the pedals back on when he’s ready to pedal! The other one bought a consignment bike! Just amazing service. I had a bike flat and other technicalities with my electric bike. After about two months of waiting for it to be repaired I was fully satisfied. I believe the saying good things come to those who wait. Now i am back riding my bike enjoying my early summer! Thanks.

Went shopping for a bike. Got treated like trash and rushed out the door because i was looking for a price range of $500-$700. Its one thing for the bike not to be in stock. Its another to treat a customer like they don’t matter just because they’re not willing to pay $1200+ for a bike. If i had got treated differently i probably would have bought something more expensive. Guy refused to pay attention to me for longer than 30 seconds. Will not be shopping here again.

Had my daughters bike tire repaired twice and paid both times took the same tire the 3rd time and paid again but before i even took the bike out of my car, same tire is flat. Calling them but no one answers the phone, leave a message no one calls back. It should not take negative social media post to get a call back. Its not good business.

Brought in my sons bike for rear derailleur issue. Wasnt sure if it needed replacement adjustment or a new shifter. They checked it out immediately, made a quick adjustment and it worked perfectly. Charged me $15. Quick fair and honest service.

I’m all for supporting local small business, but these folks have no right running a business. The shop is unbelievably disorganized, no one ever answers the phone and emails never receive a reply. Took my mountain bike in for a new wheel and after a month and a half, 10+ trips to the shop and numerous lies and half-truths from the owner, I ended up just asking for my money and half built bike back. The owner unfortunately seems to know very little about technical bike issues (see other recent reviews) and would rather make up stories about what’s wrong or how something can be fixed than admit he doesn’t have a solution. Save yourself the headache and go down the road to REI.

I absolutely recommend Wheelies for all your bicycle needs! Larry McDonald is a solid citizen and dedicated to his craft and is a pillar in the community. I have purchased bikes from Wheelies as well as had repairs and purchased accessories. I have recommended Wheelies to many of my friends and clients and everyone has been more than satisfied. They go above and beyond to meet your needs and NEVER tries to up sell you on anything that is not necessary to make your ride as safe as possible.

Took the bike in for a tune up/tire replacement. A week to ten days they said, because were backed up. Ok, fair enough, but its a month later, still no bike, and calls go unanswered/ignored. If I ever get my bike back I will find a different repair shop.

So I turned in my bike to have the cables fixed on the derailers and my rear brake fixed they call me back and left a message saying that my gear shifters are not compatible with my derailer’s I bought my gear shifters from their store they never answer the phone they rarely answer emails this is ridiculous!!

Nice bicycle shop. Bikes are assembled and have a 12 month guarantee. They make sure the bike fits and is correctly adjusted before you take it home. Shop has a great selection, and will order if the bike you want is out of stock.

These owners are the perfect example of why we should support our local businesses. Not only do they make house calls, but they are kind and caring. When a family member was diagnosed with a crippling disease, they helped us find ways that allowed him to continue riding. Their sense of community is exceptional. They are a small shop with a huge heart. I highly recommend them.

Brought my daughters bike in to have a spoke fixed, now Ive been ghosted. Its been over a month, they wont return calls or emails, now their voice mail is full. My wife went there and they couldnt find the bike, told her theyd find it and call, a week later and still no call.

Bought two bicycles and both were great. Staff was helpful and professional. They help with problems and solve them right away. They have a great choice of bicycles and accessories. They deliberately tried to make my bike look broken by loosening the rear hub. They didnt deny it, just said theyll fix it. Guy fixing it seemed like a bit of a junkie. Will never go back nor recommend

Not the most appealing place to buy bikes and bike accessories, but its still very convenient and reasonably priced.

The service department is not very knowledgeable. If you are an advance level cyclist, do not bring your bike in for service, this guys do not know how to work on your bike. They managed to messed up simple bike repairs and in the process they scratched a carbon fiber frame, installed parts backwards.

Love this place. Family owned, friendly, honest, timely and professional service. Theres not much else you can ask for.
