I was offered the best repair price I received during my research . . . but the service technician then went above and beyond by explaining in excellent detail what needed to be done, what the anticipated time line would look like for the repair and even commented on some potential problems when repaired.Bottom line - these guys are out to provide the best service at the best price and proved that they will deal honestly with straight up talk.

Wonderful experience right over the phone! I didnt even really know what i was looking for, just a replacement bulb for an ottlite, they went above and beyond. The fellow i spoke with was polite and super responsive, asked for some pics and got right back to me!! Absolutely this is what i wish for when i want customer service, A++ for sure. Well Big Dan was a huge help, but the light itself needed a repair, he was more than willing to suggest a place even wrote their info down for me. Awesome service! I am from Rochester, NY and went into the Batteries Plus on Wickham with my sister-in-law so she could have a watch band adjusted and have one IPhone switched to another. Dan did her watch(awesomely fast) and Chandler spent a good 1.5 hr getting her info transferred from one phone to the other. My sister-in-law is famous for not remembering passwords and so a lot of resetting happened. Chandler expertise was invaluable! Awesome and friendly customer service, you dont see much of that today. I purchased two batteries online for store pickup. I received confirmation via email immediately and in about 10 minutes I received a phone call from the store stating that their inventory online was not correct and that they only had one battery like I ordered in stock but they offered to replace the two batteries with two comparable batteries that were in stock. I agreed and the comparable batteries were actually better than the ones I originally ordered and they matched the price. Great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Imagine my surprise when the lady (I didn’t catch her name) told me that the screen saver I had on it is all that broke and she installed a new one in minutes! Saving me some $120+....I’m thankful that she realized and let me know....I will be back for any future needs

Went to get two batteries replaced in my watches. Gentleman named Dillon was there to help replace the batteries. He greated me with a smile and was very informative. I brought 2 watches last year for new batteries and paid extra to get the lifetime battery replacement. Don’t do it because it’s a scam. I brought my watch back a few nights ago and they said there was no sticker on the battery to tell them I got the lifetime replacement and they couldn’t find me in their system. So now I paid extra money and got only one battery. They said they couldn’t do anything about it. I’m not going back to them again.

My experience was not horrible, I was simply put off a little by it. I needed a new battery for my vehicles key fob. I was not sure exactly what specific battery I needed yet and asked the sales person for a tool so I could check. They replied we are not suppose to touch those. I advised them I understood that, which I do, and repeated my request for a tool or even a dime so I could open it. They looked puzzled and put there hand out to look at it. They then took it behind the counter and used something to open it. They glanced inside and started, yep CR2020. Once I paid I stepped aside and removed the old batteries which were CR2025. They quickly took the batteries I purchased and returned with the correct batteries as they were removing them from the package. I installed the new batteries, verified my key fob worked through the store window, and looked at the store personnel. They simply stated ok, looks like they work. I pointed out he was correct, and the obvious fact they were not the same batteries I purchased. He again looked confused and I asked if they were the same price. He replied they should be. Based on the fact the batteries I purchased were $10, I figured it was not worth my time to wait for the dollar or two they might owe me, and he did not appear to care about the dollar or two I might owe him, so I left. Like I said, at the end of the day, mission accomplished, but what a struggle.

Wait time for repair seemed rather lengthy even waiting for parts. I understand the problems, but waiting for updates was troublesome.

First time buying online and everything went well. Their shop called me right back to confirm the order and discuss pickup. Once I got there they were pretty busy but was very helpful to check my old Marine batteries and do the core charge credit, etc. Other than the nice fresh batteries, they also had other things in the store like the underwater fish lights. Might need to go back again.

UPDATE 1/16/19I stopped by on 1/14 to get my IPhone screen repaired at the Wickham road location. Staff was super friendly and the price was reasonable (when you make an appointment online you receive $10 off). After 30 minutes they called to say my screen was fixed. I come to pick it up and they had already put my phone back into my original phone case and everything. The screen looked amazing; however, I noticed my home button seemed loose. Then on today, I went to change phone cases and I noticed that the left side of the screen is sticking out of the metal shell of the phone! The right side is flush with the phone, but the left is a lot more raised! I’m going to have to go back to the store and have them fix it again because these problems are kind of an issue!

Im honestly surprised I havent written here sooner. I am not sure when exactly Batteries Plus came around, but weve lived here since 2004 and theyve been here as long as I can remember.I was surprised to learn that it was part of a chain, because it feels more mom-and-pop than some actual community stores. Like a lot of good local businesses, a huge part of it comes down to the people that run it or the people they hire.Quick example, years and years ago I accidentally locked myself out of my car. A guy who worked there was coming off of his shift and helped me out and when it didnt work, got a call out to a locksmith so I could get home.You know how everyone used to dig old-school Radio Shack because they actually had bits and pieces and the people there knew what they were talking about, mostly because they had life experience where they did and made the things themselves as well? This is the batteries (plus!) version of that.I have a surprising lack of battery-related knowledge -despite- my life experience (I dont collect a lot of material things and the useful things I have in my life plug in for the most part...which isnt to stay they dont have plug-related things here, too)...but my actual point is, I can ask a question and not feel weird about asking, and they know the answer, and they dont make you feel stupid for not knowing.I want to underline that because it warrants it: There have been a lot of studies about who a person will trust before making a purchasing decision, and having a level of trust means having a level of confidence. To the point where people will actually pay more ( a lot more ) for the exact same thing if they feel assured it will meet their needs. A thousand online reviews dont count for near as much as having a real life human being in front of me that cares about actual service and getting people what they need.I took a while in line today, so I actually got out of line in between two of my requests, and literally every single person that came in got the same treatment. It wasnt I cant wait to get out of this place like I hear a lot, it wasnt NO! TAKE YOUR CARD OUT! NO, NOT YET! SWIPE IT! THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT! because the person before you got on their nerves.....nope, it was If you want that, were having a deal on it this week. And you might like this other thing, and heres how I can help you out with those.So many places nowadays its just cashiers hitting buttons, and you feel unwelcome when they dont just ignore you but get weirdly or violently angry or dismissive. It almost is nostalgic getting dealt with as a human customer instead of a number, and I am only in my thirties.Incidentally, I got my phone screen fixed, front and back, lickety split by a very patient technician, and at a better price than literally every quote online for shops in the area that -specialize- in fixing phones.Thats how you breed loyalty! It almost makes me wish I needed things here more, so that I can continue to patronize them and keep them in business!

The staff knows batteries and bulbs. Use there knowledge to reduce your electric bill. Led bulbs save money and you wont have to change them for 20 years.

Incompetence or Scam? You decide. I went in with a broken screen on my Apple Watch series 3. They quoted me $229 to fix it. Ouch, but ok. $250 after tax. (Tax on a service?) A week later I get a call telling me that the *USED* screen they got in for it was scuffed pretty badly and did I want it or did I want to pay another $30 for a new screen. No one told me the first order was for used parts. I opted for the new screen. A week and a half later I pick up my watch. *Oh by the way, your watch is no longer waterproof - we dont do that*. That would have been REALLY nice to know up front since the entire draw of the series 3 is its waterproofing. I take the watch home and within about half a day the screen falls off.Are they scamming me or just entirely unqualified to be working on something they have taken a lot of money from me to fix?I would avoid them at all costs. There are many other places where you can get the same services and NOT be questioning their ability to actually accomplish what you pay for competently and honestly.Response TO owner: your manager made no attempt to contact me directly.

Horrible experience. I purchased a battery pack online for store pickup. I received an email stating the battery was ready for pickup and went to the store. I was told the battery was not there yet and but would be in the next morning. I returned the next evening and it was still not there but was told it wold be there by 6PM. I asked to speak to the manager but he refused to come out of his office and address the problem. I still do not have the battery pack. I would give this store NO stars but I cant post it without at least one star.

Great customer service, but the replacement battery I bought, 20th Oct 2018 for my generator was dead when I went to test start the generator last weekend. Ends up the Duracell Ultra has only 6 months warranty, used or not.

I went to have a new battery put in my IPhone 6S and it was very busy and I was a little spooky because they where doing three things at once and weren’t really paying attention at what I was saying. Anyway after 1 hour I went back and got my phone and they scratched it up where they pried it open instead of using a suction puller plus lost a screw from where you charge it ! I’m so glad I would never let them repair my phone again. Plus it cost me $50 bucks with a 10$ discount!! Anyway went back today to get my screw back!!Yay!! There good for odd batteries but not to work on my $700 iPhone because when I trade it in now it has a chunk missing.

I wish I could give no stars!! Brought my phone in for screen repair which they did fine with that. The very same day my phone started losing battery life fast so they said it needed a new battery. While changing my battery the guy broke my screen that I just bought no biggie he just swapped it out with a new one. Now my speaker phone won’t work on my phone or FaceTime. I’ve already dropped my phone off 3 other times since then for them to fix the problem but nobody there can figure it out. Btw I looked at my receipt & they even charged me for a new screen protector after he broke the one I just bought the week prior. Guess I’m buying a new phone!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE!!

Got a brand new battery this weekend for my motorcycle and it was dead. Had to make three trips to the store. First trip I picked up a dead battery. Trip two returned the new dead battery and they could not find the two batteries their computer said they had in stock so they ordered one from another store. Trip three was after they called an hour later that they got the battery in.

The attendant Philippe was extremely helpful. I had purchase a car battery and needed it installed, there was difficulty installing it but he worked on it for 30 minutes and completed the job. I will definitely recommend Batteries Plus in Melbourne to others!

This place is absolutely a nightmare! Paid these people to fix my Samsung 8+ glass. It cracked after I put pressure on the phone while holding it so it would not drop. I called Samsung and they told me a New Glass should not have cracked that easy. Probably they put in a refurbished piece of glass. I dont trust these people. No warranty and I spent $300. Now they will fix it for another $200. Are you kidding me?? I was never told that there was not a warranty. They are sneaky, deceiving and RUde beyond a doubt. They are at your mercy so they can do anything they want and I dont know anything about a new piece of glass or refurbished. Dont go to Batteries Plus EVER! THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU THE CONSUMER. CALLING BBB AND LETTING THEM KNOW!
