I loved this place, I was greeted as soon as I walked into the store by Ms Nikki Cannon. She was a very delightful young lady. She showed me several items that I wanted to purchase until I found what I was looking for. Ms Nikki should be commend for her dedication to the customers, the time and effort that she spent with me was priceless.
Great costumer service.. they don’t communicate well with you about the furniture you purchased. My furniture still hasn’t been delivered after 2 weeks. Everytime I call they act like they can’t find my name on the delivery paper and I’m on hold right now as I type cause I still haven’t heard anything back from them.. I give yall 1 star for selling me my furniture the fast way.
On Saturday September 11th, I went to RoyalFurniture Company on Summer. I purchase a Couch and a leather chair. The sales lady was courteous. the purchase went through. It was only when they called to confirm the delivery did I find out I had to remove the old couch and chair. I enformed the sales lady I was not able and just want them to set it outside. I spoke to Mr.Cross, the manager, who was rude,unprofessional and down right nasty to me as a customer. Due to the condescending tone he spoke to me in, I canceled my entire order. The manager said the delivery persons canttouch any thing in the home,they can bring things to the home. How do I know if they are negative for Covid19. point, why did they not enforme me at the sale that I had to have the room cleared out.
They told us in store that our furniture wouldn’t be delivered til July 22. They showed up today, July 20, and left the furniture in the carport. No one bothered to call myself or my husband. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and can’t haul a reclining sofa into my house, thus paying Royal for delivery. Guess I wasted $100 on delivery. The furniture is probably nice, but I gotta wait 2 hours to get some help to move it inside. Never buying anything from Royal again.Update: the loveseat has a hole in it and the back is broken. So basically I got ripped off on delivery AND a busted loveseat. Naturally no one will answer the phone.Update 2, July 31: see from the response below that Royal Furniture has promised us a new loveseat and refund the delivery charge, except David Houston has failed to return calls or emails confirming when we will receive the new loveseat or the refund, and half the time the receptionist won’t even answer. This is absurd and I am still stuck with a broken loveseat taking up space in my living room. Do not buy from Royal. I’m including screenshots of the response from Royal as well.Final update: we did finally get our loveseat replaced, which happened 2 days after I explained I would either do a chargeback or go to small claims court. Funny how suddenly they were happy to communicate at that point. I did also get the delivery fee refunded, which required going to the store, where no one at the front desk was wearing a mask. During a pandemic. So that was super disappointing. Anyway, while it did get resolved, it took 28 phone calls and 9 emails, none of which were ever returned and it was just me calling and emailing constantly. Doesn’t really matter if the deals are good if it’s such a nightmare to work with them. So while yes, it is resolved, I’m letting the 28 unreturned phone calls and 9 unreturned emails be the reason my rating remains one star.
The Summer Location is VERY Unprofessional, but you get what you pay for... At the beginning of March when I had my love seat delivered it had orange, rusty water damage on a big section of it from being in the truck after a snow storm and I was told it would be replaced. I even spoke with a manager (Brian) who “scheduled” a replacement. No show. No call. Now I’m having an issue reaching someone to speak with. I’ve never dealt with such terrible customer service. The bedroom set and couch I purchased is beautiful, but I honestly regret using Royal... May is approaching in a few days and I still haven’t gotten my loveseat replaced. It’s sitting in my living room with an ugly, burnt orange stain on the left side of it. When I have company over they will see it and ask what happened and I make sure to tell them about the run around that I’m getting with this location. I would give negative 5 stars if I could.
My Furniture was supposed to be delivered and they claimed to have called me several times (which I did not receive) They basically gave me the run around over an error from the Salesman. He misspelled my address and they told me I had to wait a whole week to get my furniture when I had already threw out my old furniture. I was so frustrated, I kept trying to call and correct the error they told me it was too late. I ended up getting the furniture on my own because I couldn’t wait anymore. I have all my furniture except for my table chairs and it’s been over two months now and I haven’t received my chairs for my table. Who do I contact to see about my chairs? It’s been too long already I ordered this stuff in February it’s May now. Highly unacceptable and unprofessional

Very Unprofessional. The Lady Behind The Counter Had A Nasty Attitude. Every Question I Asked She Didn’t Know The Answer To. Obviously She Needs Training On Customer Service And On Knowing Things About The Store. I Ordered A Living Room Set And Was Suppose To Have It Shipped On May 12th. They Never Called So I Called. When I Called They Told Me My Furniture Wouldn’t Be In Stock For Another Week. I Placed My Order For My Furniture April 15th. If I Hadn’t Called, I Wouldn’t Have Known Nothing. How Can You Give Someone A Delivery Date In Person But On The Phone You Claim There’s No Set Delivery Date. They Care More About Getting Their Commission And Not Taking Care Of The Customers.
I actually went to this specific royal furniture because it had a bed that i wanted on display and I had cash ready to buy it and everything but for 30 whole minutes i walked around this store and not one person came and asked me if I needed help finding anything and to make it even worse some of your sale associates where sitting down on their phones scrolling throughout facebook post. So the conclusion of this story is I will never ever spend my money in royal furniture ever because y’all have terrible customer service.

One of the Worse experiences My wife has had with a Furniture Company Ever! She ordered a Sectional and a set of end tables. Sectional was delivered 2 weeks later than expected but No tables! She called and spoke with her sales guy Dedrick(Dont get me started). He tells her to come pick a new set of tables she does and says itll be added in at the same price as the other tables with a set deliver date. Delivery date comes and goes No Tables, come to find out she has to pay a difference because his manager said the price was different when she asked him the day she picked them everything was fine.. 1/17/2021 She goes to pay the difference another manager is in and he has no clue whats going on. Disgraceful and Customer Service is Non Existent!Me, having a B.A. in Business Management helps gage whether or not a Company has Bad Business Ethics and Royal Furniture seems to make the cut of Horrendous Business Ethics! This will be my wifes last time spending our hard earned money at this Unethical business its just Not worth the Headache, especially during a Pandemic!

So I purchased furniture from this place on 4/15/20 and didn’t receive my furniture until 5/1/2020. Now I purchased 3 bedroom sets and only received 1 only to find out that the other 2 were on a back order, and I didn’t even find this out from the actual sales person I found this out from the delivery person. And when I received my 1st bed and dresser it was all beat up. Now, I do understand due to the COVID19 that some things may be delayed and it’s gonna be hard to talk to a sales person. But for 3 weeks top!!!! No communication from the sales person or anything so me being a concerned customer!!! I wanna know where are my beds. Every single time I would call to talk to the sales representative she’s busy or the customer service representative would put me through and this person would literally pick the phone up and hang up in my face. And instead of the sales representative letting me know if my beds would be delivered she’s worried about will I make my payment on time. Now why would I pay for something and I haven’t received my entire order form you all. I just hope my beds will be delivered soon. This could’ve been the worst mistake I made.

Don’t get nothing from here I have been waiting 7 months for the rest of my bedroom set I have been getting a run around the hold time. The people at the service desk be lying about the managers not there etc I even had the phone hung up in my face a few times‼️‼️
Im surprised and dissatisfied in the delivery aspect of royal furniture. They seem to have no respect for your time. They give you a time frame. You wait and they dont show. I got most of my delivery Wednesday. But not all of it. They I would be first Friday. I asked were they sure because I had other obligations. So l called and once they realize what I was calling about. They transferred me to a number that didnt work. And didnt answer anymore of my calls. There will be no recommendation from me. If I hadnt told them I had other things to do I would understand. But I did.

I ordered my furniture on July the second. When it was delivered they did not tell me my dining table was out of stock. When I ordered it they told me that was the only one in stock. Now they are acting like I am being done a favor because atleast I have half of my furniture.Update 10/12/2020I do not want anther set, again you are not doing me a favor offering me another set. When I ordered I got a set that matches the couch that I have, because the sales person, told me that the one I ordered was all they had in stock.When I addressed the issue to hime he told me they sold my table. I have spoken with several people about this . They keep saying next week. No one has made any real effort to get back with me or make it right. This is my first and last time doing business with Royal.Thanks for showing me how you treat your customes.
Royal Furniture has been in our family since Ive been born and that was in 1976. Truthfully this is the only furniture store we actually get our furniture. As usual the purchase experience and the sales staff are great. The delivery experience always leaves something to be desired. The delivery guys themselves are great, but you never know when things are going to show up on the scheduled day, and sometimes the correct items aren’t always on the truck so another delivery is required. Overall a very good experience, and Royal will always be my go-to for large furniture purchases. They just need to figure out their delivery side better than it works right now (and it’s been this not-good for decades, at least for the 15 years I’ve been buying furniture there). Love me some Royal. Always wish the delivery management process was better.
I ordered furniture 3 months ago n still haven’t received my end tables! My sales representative Mr Ford has terrible courtesy, every time I call the store it’s a 30 minute hold time, & there not getting anything done!They are looking at the caller ID and want answer. Really not pleased with the service I received. My parents did business with this location as a housing warming gift to myself. However, everything arrived on time except my dinning room set. The sales person, Dedrick (black male, bald head, average height), gave all of us (me, my mom, and my dad) the run around for about a month. We purchased this set way before Christmas and I still have yet to receive it (scheduled to come today hopefully). It’s not about the mistake because we all make mistakes, it’s about the customer service. For one you don’t sell someone furniture if it’s not in stock. Secondly, when you (the sales person) realize you made the mistake you should call and follow up with the customer until the problem is resolved. Dedrick failed to do either, we had to call him each and every time to get clarity about what was going on. All in all, he got the sale and never looked back. Unprofessional and bad business overall. Choose another company please.

They make you feel like family
Nice experience and friendly associates. I took my rating down due to an unbelievable amount of time I waited for my pieces to come in. The date kept getting pushed further and further back with no explanation or notification of why. Then after the items came we were still expected to pay for a full price delivery fee to get the items home from their warehouse. Just a very bad delivery policy. If you are making me wait, the least that you could do is give me the courtesy of bringing me my items.
Was told my bedroom set was in stock and all I needed were rails. I even called days before to confirm my delivery and was told that it was coming 3/21, not one time during those conversations I was told my bed was not in stock but the day of I hear from the delivery driver that I was only receiving a dresser, mirror, mattress and box spring but no headboard and footboard. I’m highly upset because I paid almost $2000 cash for my items and don’t have them. Terrible customer service they just blew me off and when I called to check on my delivery there still was nothing and knowing they were closing they did not communicate this to me the day I called so I had to hear from the automated system they were closed. Bad customer service and communication with customers especially when they have my money but I have no product. I don’t think I’ll ever shop with Royal anymore Ashley furniture or Great American Homestore would never!!!
My experience at Royal Furniture-summer was one of the best. I was greeted when I walked in the door. I was not rushed even though it was late on a Friday night when I went to the store. Mrs Gwen S. is one of the most friendly, patient, helpful sales people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I told her what I was looking for and she was Johnny on the spot. She was very knowledgeable of her business as well as her store merchandise. She took time with me, as I was very undecided, and showed me ALL the deals and specials they had. Enter the store no one greeted my family nor I. I made the commit that I guess everyone is more interested in watching Jeopardy as most employees seem to be unaware of who was entering or leaving store. I intended to purchase quite a bit of furniture and was recommend to this store. After finding a warehouse he informed them we needed help and shockingly still no help. I assume they are paid hourly as commission they will never received as apparently there was 7 shoppers all asking the same question, Where are sales agents or whomever to help with making selection.” WORSTED EXPERIENCE EVER ALL EMPLOYEES MANAGERS NEED TO BE RELEASED AND A NEW CREW BROUGHT IN

If you are tired of bad service visit Royal Furniture on Summer!! As soon as I walked in Shaira Arciga greeted me and was so bubbly. She let me browse without watching my every step. When I needed her she helped me every step of the way! I did not plan on buying anything yesterday, but she helped me get the bed I wanted and a whole new living room set for a great price. She was so happy and had a great attitude! If you go ask for Shaira she is AMAZING!!

I went to Royal Furniture on Summer Avenue today 4/28/18. I will NEVER go back there again. They were very unprofessional and rude. The sales person April, who did not tell me her name was the worst. I only learned her name because her coworkers kept talking to her and she took a call and the person at the desk shouted her name.I do not appreciate paying my hard earned money to be spoken down to and she had an attitude because I did not like the coffee table options with the house full package. I left a message for someone at the corporate office and I went and placed the same order at the store on Main Street. Do not go to this location if you can help it. I wish there was an option for ZERO STARS.

Our furniture was supposed to be delivered on Saturday Jan 5. The store did not contact me about a delivery time. I did call the Memphis store to confirm that my furniture would be delivered. The very rude receptionist flat out said “I can’t help you, you have to go online.”So I went online, the stated delivery time was between noon and 3pm. We waited and waited and waited. After 3pm the status changed to “on its way.” Still no phone call or contact from the company.At 8pm, the delivery tracked still stated that it was “on the way.” They never showed, I never got a phone call or any other form of communication from Royal furniture. The people in the store refuse to answer the phone, AND their voicemail is constantly full.ROYAL Furniture has my money and has not yet delivered my furniture. If you value your time, buy furniture elsewhere. Do not waste your time here.Update: I spoke with the office. After being on hold for over 20 Minutes, they couldn’t find my paperwork. Thankfully, I had my copy. I gave them the information needed. Then they changed their excuse to “we attempted to call you but you didn’t respond to confirm the appointment.”I have the call records for both mine and my husbands phones. They are both in excellent working order and we DO have our incoming/outgoing call logs. We were not contacted.The delivery staff is fibbing the notes on their work orders. So now you are closed until Tuesday and I can’t get my order delivered until next week. I will continue to post updates until Royal Furniture makes good on the delivery for which we have paid in full.UPDATE 1/8/19 - so yesterday, they finally delivered the couch pieces. The feet were incorrectly packed, so they did not complete piecing together my sectional. At least its in the house... or most of it was. They were supposed to send a guy back out in the afternoon to complete the process. However, when I arrived home, the feet had been delivered. They were hung in plastic bags on my mailbox. As of 1/9/19, I am still awaiting them to correct the issue. However, the store manager has reassured me that our delivery fee will be refunded. Once that is received, I will reevaluate my satisfaction as a customer on all social reviews.
They have a bigger selection than all the other locations but all are great locations!
Your Perimeter Shopping Center has expanded with great displays and most of all Mr. Angelo Houstons knowledge and Customer Service skills is why I not only return, but keep referring family and friends to Mr. Houston for sales as well.

Never once did anyone offer to help me with buying some furniture except for the guy sitting in the break room asking me if I was looking for the bathroom.
Decided to work with the first lady that introduced herself to me, but that was the wrong thing to do. When I got ready to check out she was nowhere to be found. When she did come up front she was so nonchalant about writing up what furniture I wanted. When she set up the furniture to be delivered she didnt write down everything that was supposed to be included with the set. So I had to call and set up for the rest of the furniture to be delivered and she had an attitude then. She finally gave me a date for the delivery and it didnt show. Call the distribution center and she never set it up. So I have to call her back to get it set up again!

The service was poor. The help is unacceptable. They are very unorganized very unprofessional. I ordered some furniture 2 1/2 months ago and to this day I have not received all the pieces. I have been to the store to talk with 2 managers once December the 28th and on the 8th of January and I still havent received the love seat. I was told that the item would be here on the 12th of January so I went to the store and I was told that I didnt have to come to the store by Mr. Raymond Street that I could call. I told him that I had been trying to call but could not get and answer that the phone was hanging up and the next day it keep sending me to the voice mail so I came up there to check on my item. I have pages my first bill and still no item. First of all I wasnt told that the item was on back order until it was delivered. Ive tried to report this to an higher authority but was giving the round around. Ive bought serveral item from Royal Furniture and Ive never been treated like this. I have keep record of this ordeal. To this day I have not heard from Royal about my loveseat. You asked me to call but by this time look like someone would be calling me. Yes Mr. Raymond Street said that he would take off the delivery fee but does that make it right on how Im been treated NO. What can I do they are a big company and Im just one customer fight a small battle with them. I have a lot to say but Im going to end here. Thank you A Dissatisfied customer
