Where shall begin, I had the most unsatisfying experience with Carpet Spectrum. I was scheduled for installation between the hours of 9 and 10am, got a call at 10 mins before scheduled arrival time, Mike stated they had 2 people to call off for the day. Mike called me back at 11:03 saying they would pull a guy from another job and he could be a my home in a couple of hours. This would have made the arrival time somewhere about 1 pm. Long story short, after numerous calls and lies the contract installer arrived at my home at 5:30pm and the carpet was still not completely installed. I DO NOT BLAME THE INSTALLER. Carpet Spectrum jacked me around all day, Had I been informed when they realized they were short handed, I probably would not have had to lose a days pay.

Twice Ive hired Spectrum for flooring jobs and both were botched big time. But if you make the mistake of hiring them, definitely dont deal with old man Mike. He lies right to your face. Never written a bad review of anyone before but this warrants it.

Had plenty of large remnants and at a good price

I ordered carpet cleaning for two rooms. First, they showed up late. They did call me 20min after the original appointment time and said that they will be at my place in 15-20min. They showed up about 40min after the call. Thus, they were late more than an hour total and it is not easy for me to take time of work. Second, before they started, I asked them if my carpets can be cleaned because they looked very dirty. The cleaners said yea, however they did not look clean to me after the cleaning was done (see pictures (1 - before, 2 - after cleaning)). I just wish they have told me that because of the wear and tear they wont be able to clean it and I would have paid for their trip. Finally, they spilled water all over the wood floor which I end up cleaning...

They used to be top notch. Not so much anymore. What a sad loss for the Memphis.

Bill Mercer is very rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to spend a dime with these unprofessional rude people! When a business carries on in this matter, out of business they will be soon!!!!

Was in need of carpet and kitchen flooring call got on the phone with Forrest and set estimates time and hoping to fine or choose what Iay want he can didnt bring no samples got the Measurementand that was ot,it, had to call to see if it was OK to come.in store to see some samples and choose what I wanted he told me yes u could came in like he had show me something it a long store but he was really rude and for some reason I want to show me some cheap things its other things that was done to much to say Bad customer service

Mediocre. The installers arrived at 8am and left at 11:45am. They install carpet in three bedrooms, hallways and stairs. This is over 1500 sq ft. Previous installations in other properties were longer and better work. This was truly unbelievably quick. A day later the carpet was shedding, the carpet is loose is some locations and it does not feel stable. I will never return to this overprice and mediocre company.

I was truly impressed with the cleaning service. I didn’t expect some of the stains to come out but they were removed. PeeWee and Melvin did an excellent job! The carpet looks brand new.

Just got off the phone with a Spectrum sales person. Absolutely agree with Mawmaw Miller! I didn’t make it past the phone call because the guy had such a bad attitude that I told him not to bother coming to my house! I have a small job so he didn’t seem that interested but no reason to be so rude when I asked if he comes with any samples.

Very professional and friendly. Found the carpet I wanted at a very fair price. About half of what Lowes wanted to charge!

Low prices and great service. This is not based on one trip, this is based on 7 trips over a 5 year period. Going back today for area rugs.

Of course this is the best place to buy carpet in Memphis They are wholesale and retail.For years since the hostess bread was on Jackson they have sold me carpet. I went to Carpet Spectrum on Saturday morning to get my 3rd estimate for 3 rooms of carpet. I walked in at 10:30 am and walked out at 10:45. The carpet was installed on Monday and finished at noon. The cost was about one half of my other estimates. What else can be said? Oh yes everyone I dealt with was nice and great at their job from sales to installation! From my experience so far I would say your crazy to go anywhere else.

After moving into a previously lived in rental, we had Carpet Spectrum replaced the kitchen flooring and cleaned my oriental area rugs. I did not realize just how beautiful those rugs were til I got them back! Great job! Great service! This is a company that can be trusted! Thank you Bill and guys!

Customer service was mediocre. Was told I would have carpet installed on a Thursday and it ended up being days after that. I was not called about the delay either. Installation was very meh. Ive stepped on things under the carpet in almost every room that shouldnt be there and some corners of the carpet are already coming up.

I had the great pleasure of meeting a young man, nicknamed Bear, who was my installer. Hes quick, and very efficient. If you want your capet laid right ask for this young man. My capet looks awesome, thanks again.

I have been given the runaround for 3 days. No one can seem to make it to my house for a 10 minute fix on my wood floors. Horrible!!! Managers are no help at all either. Im done with Carpet Spectrum. Bye!

Do not use them! You will do better calling Stanley Steemer or renting a carpet cleaner and doing it yourself! Then they had the nerve to get an attitude when I told them I was not satisfied with the service. Dont waste your money or your time! Go somewhere else

Didnt get past the sales man. Short with me on the phone. Short with me when he came to the house. His attitude told me this company doesnt need my business and could care less about my desires as a customer.

I bought the buy a remnant get one free so I picked the best quality remnant I could find got one for my daughter just as nice.

Not really impressed. Push the top of the line and when you state a lower price you never hear back with any suggestions.
