Brunch with friends. Good spot. The breakfast sandwich on biscuit is a feast. Turkey sausage double patty, plenty of cheese & the biscuit is dense but not doughy. The raspberry poptart us delish. If you like pie crust you will enjoy. Plenty of filling. My wife got the Nutella one, but I like mine better. Friendly staff. Courteous. Be patient, they take a bit to get you your order. Busy, but good. Three tables on outside patio.

An excellent little place for breakfast and coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. I had a sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit, and it was lovely. Their coffee is great too, and there are several tables with seating inside and out.

Coffee was fine, as was the breakfast sandwich.However, I was there right at opening, saw an employee come up, notice me there and still sit in their car.Either they were running late that day, or failed to update their open signs or their Google listing.I give it a half-hearted meh.

Came here to grab some coffee and a cookie with my wife before heading to the zoo with our sons. She got an iced vanilla latte, I got an Americano, and we got a Strawberry Gooey Cookie. We hardly got to Cooper/Union before she finished her latte and said “That was incredible.” My Americano was great and the cookie was out of this world!

Best coffee in Memphis. They really pay attention to the details and get a lot right, but they have nothing for vegans. Even their veggie sausage is made by a company notorious for randomly adding milk in places it does not belong. So, when I go here Im coffee only.

Service was amazing. Coffee was delicious! Loved the biscuit sandwiches. Did not care for duffin but everything else was tasty. Will definitely go back.

Just moved to Memphis and in search of the best cold brew in Midtown. There’s no shortage of options here. Bluff City Coffee’s cold brew is just right- rich in flavor, low acidity, with a strong, smooth coffee taste. Will be back for more.The tex mex bagel sandwich was just alright, I did not enjoy the bagel texture too much, it was much closer to plain bread texture but take this with a grain of salt because my expectations for bagels are too high outside of NYC. Taste was fine.

This cafe is alright. The staff is super nice by the way. However the ☕️ lattes are not as great. I’ve been there more than 3 times, and my lattes are always super sweet. The biscuits are amazing tho. For now, I can give it this review.

The breakfast sandwiches are good, but it’s disappointing that every baked good I’ve had there is bad. And this is coming from someone that gets excited about 7-11 Apple fritters.

The softest and most enjoyable Everything bagel Ive ever had. The staff was very personable, the atmosphere is lovely, and the selection of baked goods did not disappoint. Bonus points for offering a nice variety of breakfast proteins.

From the staff, the food, and the coffee its all wonderful! Especially the Nutella poptart! I got the iced golden Kelly and it was delicious.

As someone who visited Memphis, I really enjoyed their breakfast Egg and cheese sandwich on their signature garlic biscuit

The barista’s screamed at us to step out of the walkway while we were waiting for our drinks (it was a very narrow walkway)Then the barista gave us a hot drink when we ordered iced, and was kind of rude in general when we asked for it to be remade. The coffee is okay, but being a jerk to your customers isn’t.

So many savory and sweet treats here! Great for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack. I highly recommend the scones and the nutella filled oatmeal cookie.

Clean atmosphere and good espresso. Only way to make it better would be some keto pastries. Cant wait for my next visit.

This was my first coming here and will ne my last i ordeted my food while waiting i was looling at the different cakes and cookiesi noticed on the display on top with mimi cakes that there were nets in there i imformed her dhe acted like she didnt hear me i said it again she ignored me never again

I stopped in for the first time at 8:30 AM on a Thursday morning and bought two cookies, a chocolate croissant and a Nutella pop tart. I was asked if I wanted any of my items warmed up, and I declined, assuming they were fresh. All of the baked items were obviously made at least a day or two prior, because the they had lost their tenderness and flakiness, and were very dry and relatively flavorless. Warming up day-or-more old items would have improved them only slightly. I expect that a bakery/coffee shop would sell only freshly-made items! I paid $14 for items that were tasteless and unappetizing.

The food and coffee, service are great.

I dropped in for the first time today and order a piece of blueberry coffee cake and a small cafe au lait. The coffee was superb. The cake was a little on the dry side, but still very good as I dunked it in my coffee. I like that it wasnt overly sweet. I ate outside on the patio which was lovely.

The store and all of the goods looked wonderful.Unfortunately the cafe au lait wasnt right at all....it was more of a latte coffee.The scones and apple danish were heated up in a microwave, which made them soggy.Not likely to revisit.

Delicious sweet chai. Ladies were super nice and gave me a mask when I didn’t have one.

We got a slice of carrot cake, a chocolate chip cookie, and chocolate brownie. All were delicious. The cookie was SUPER thick, more of a muffin top. The brownie was warmed up and so gooey. The cake was very moist. Great frosting up to the nuts on the back and then it was not as good. Not sure why. Great place. Will come again for sure.

Favorite coffee and bakery shop in town, hands down!!

Went this morning and grabbed a drink which was very good. Decided to head back to grab a dessert before they closed at the doors were locked already at 4:40! Double checked the sign which said 5:00. Saw another person closer to 5 who was trying to get in as well. If you have to close early, at least post a sign.

Staff is always very friendly and the coffee is always great. Their food is fairly priced and delicious. They are always pretty fast too which is nice when I am on my way to work 🥰

Ive never been a huge pancake person, but let me tell you, the chocolate chip pancakes here are to die for. Everything is relatively well priced, and they have a decent variety. I havent had a chance to try the lunch items yet, but hope to soon. My only complaint is that the decor is still a little lacking, which I hope will be improved over time. And the staff could be a little more organized, but its never been a serious issue.

Clean place, good food and coffee, friendly staff, and plenty of comfortable seating. Its not too loud to have a conversation or work. Exactly what you want in a coffee shop.

This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in town. It used to be otherlands, but it seems like they only open when they want.....not the hours posted on their website. Anyway, the coffee at Bluff City is way better and the service is awesome. The people working there are so friendly and fun and helpful. The breakfast is affordable and top notch. I will be going back and telling all my friends!!! My only critique is that they dont really have a sign so I didnt even know they were open until recently!!

Its hard to get a decent coffee before work and really annoying when my time is wasted with a shop that doesnt bother to open when the say they are.Update:Tried again today for lunch :( The door was open but the grill was not, the cook apparently had Just sprayed cleaner on the grill

Very good coffee but I come for the nutella pop tart. Properly warmed, there are few treats on the planet that are that good. Have a pop tart, some coffee and walk over to Burks. Its worth it.

Great food, okay coffee. Almost wish theyd just call it BC Bakery--the coffee experience is nothing like nearby Otherlands, Java Cabana and Muddys. The chicken biscuit is good for at least 2 meals.

Man! This place is so nice and clean! The coffee is spot on but the bakery is where it’s at. The Morning Glory muffin was absolutely perfect just like the barista said it was.

This is a great addition to Cooper Young! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is wonderful. Where the once-upon-a-time bank drive through previously existed now has been repurposed into a cute outside dining area. And the coffee....ahh..the coffee is heavenly!

I have been here on two separate occasions. I have ordered a latte, raspberry pop tart, and the bacon quiche. The staff are perfectly nice but the coffee tastes burnt, they use donut raspberry filling and canned pillsbury icing for the pop tart and the quiche was just okay. All of this to say, it just isn’t good or worth the money.

Baked goods and coffee were just ok. I was charged for an Americano after ordering a coffee, so maybe they dont have plain old Joe. The wait was surprisingly long considering it was nearly empty. Overall it was fine, and just not my type of environment. Plain white walls, awkward seating. Kind of bland. Very accommodating hours though. They were open early Sunday morning when no where else seemed to be. Great for out of town travelers in that regard.

Good coffee, probably the best Ive had in town. The first time our pastries/goodies were pretty tasty. However, the next time the goodies were not, ummm, good. First: strawberry muffin and zucchini bread; they were moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Second: Blueberry muffin and raspberry danish; danish was perhaps the worst I have ever had, the blueberry muffin had decent plump blueberries that were overplayed by the dense, dry and tasteless muffin around them. I hate wasting food but these 2 were thrown away after 1-2 bites.We will be back for coffee, but only time will tell if the foodstuffs are worth it.

2 stars because it was clean. $4 toasted cream cheese bagle that was cold (refrigerated cold&undercooked), cream cheese was on the side and bagle was tossed without any wrap. Besides all that it was the most disgusting bagle. I took 1 bite and it was not edible. They had other things but i didnt want to spend $15 on a banana nut bread. Started with a bagle that looked delicious at first glance.

While the staff was welcoming, the space inside was not. It still very much feels like a bank and is not ideal for a coffee date or studying.While the layout is unfortunate it is not the reason for the 2 stars.I purchased a latte and it seemed that staff was not trained in how to make espresso based drinks. The milk in my latte was scorched and smelled terrible. Then when adding the milk to the espresso the barista overfilled the mug and left the mug and the saucer a mess. Once again the staff was cordial, they just made a really terrible latte, which is unfortunate since it is a coffee shop.

I actually love this place and the food is great I live in midtown and work in midtown the location is convenient for me...I just started trying the frozen smoothies ..I like those also..I have been referring people.. I frequently stop in and always make several purchases. a few of the workers can identify me..there are a few new face, there was one worker that use to acknowledge me by name she was very nice...I think her schedule has changed she no longer works there. Well my visit yesterday was awful... There were two workers yesterday who was just not in the mood for me I guess you could say.One of the workers I have seen several times she never smiles or speaks she was preparing the food.I had a call in order...when I came in I added to the order her facial expression showed she didnt want to be bothered.The worker that took my order I said to her I called in to keep myself from purchasing so much I smiled but she just stared at me with no response. I picked up a menu...I know the menus and the hours she in a harsh voice tone said, we are not serving from that menu.....I just picked up the wrong menu.I placed my additional order...the worker in the back started preparing my order I set down.The one that took my order prepared my smoothie and just set it on the counter and walked away to occupy her phone.A customer walks in...the worker in the back stops preparing my food and comes out to prepare a drink for this customer..This customer is admiring my smoothie on the counter.. I can only assume that its mine although there are two other customers in the shop. No one says its mine so I got up to get it.Now that my food is on hold i go stand to the other side...The wait time is usually pretty quick ... yesterday it was a bit longer.The customer tells the worker she loves her and she leaves without paying...The other worker states you dont have to stand over here, you can sit down we will bring it to you I simply told her I was tired of sitting...I also told her I come in here practically every morning. She stated she was kinda new and she didnt know everyone.I failed to mention that I also observed her interaction with a walk in customer while I was sitting... she spoke to this person....told her about the menu and the hours the customer didnt make a purchase she left. As I was sitting I at that time was questioning why it appeared that I was being treated different.Yes I questioned was it my race,my age I am a senior. I kinda expected that from the one preparing the food.. because I had seen her before she never speaks.I just know that I will not be referring anyone else....I will not frequent to purchase here and purchase my co workers meals anymore.. The customer services was very poor on yesterday. I received my food without a Thanks ...come back.. see you later etc.
