A different management has replaced the old and are very rude and negative. I have since removed my items and placed them elsewhere. I will say the lady I ended speaking to when calling about the issues I encountered was not from that location and ended up being very nice and helpful.

I visited the Devon storage one day during business hours, and the door was locked. I can see two individuals on the phone. An employee comes to the door and tells me to come back later they were on the phone in a meeting. I guess who cares about the paying customer. They forgot I brought them business. So I called them later that day and canceled my lease. I will take my business to someone who wont tell me to come back later after taking time out of my busy life to go there.

I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! This review is not for this location but for its manager LaSondra Gaither. Unfortunately, this past week during Snowvid 2021, the pipes burst at my climate controlled storage at 2700 Poplar Avenue. Its contents were antique furniture from my long deceased grandparents, my parents (also deceased) belongings and cardboard boxes of family photos and documents. My unit sustained considerable damage from flooding (about 3 inches) to everything touching the floor. I live in Dallas TX and have since 2004 which is how long I have had this storage. LaSondra called me with the news about the pipes bursting. She was very kind and thorough and while I have yet to receive a call back from corporate concerning this, LaSondra has been very helpful even though she was just helping the Poplar location with the crisis. A+ customer service!!! They are very fortunate to have an employee like LaSondra!

Edit: I loved it at first. Yet, I can no longer give it 5 stars. My unit was robbed while I was out of the country but nobody notified me of it. After spending 4 months away, I found out that my storage was raided, when I called them at the Memphis Airport.Also, they never offered me another container. The prices have also increased, significantly. I dont mind them. However, there are much better companies available.Original: I actually found Devon self-storage by chance and Im glad I did. The general manager, MR. Rodney Garrett helped me at a moments notice.Since my first choice let me down I arrived to the facility within 15 minutes of closing time. not only the Mr Garrett help me but he reserved the spot for me that instant.That small act of kindness saved me about 3 days of travel.Lastly, prices for storage or highly competitive. My storage unit is almost half the cost of much of the competition. I highly recommend!

You see there was some more managers there that had moved my daughters furniture without my knowledge and I thought that was a lil strange till I met Ms. Sanders and Ms. Shandra. Ms. Sanders could not find our storage but she assured me that she would find it and I was pleased to get a phone call from her and Ms. Shandra that they had found my daughters storage and I am so grateful! They were so Professional, Nice, and Patient with me and I truly appreciate them and I will continue to do business with them and I will also refer them to friends and family. I had a great experience with reserving online and the prices were so reasonable, I reserved two units. I also looked into storing on of my cars there because of the great parking rate. Ms. Odeia and Mr. Garrett provided excellent customer service, and none of my calls or questions went unanswered. They were prompt, efficient, and genuinely kind. My moving plans changed, and I had to call them back to cancel my reservation. That process was simple and Ms. Sanders totally understood. If Im ever in need of a storage unit I will definitely choose this location. The customer service is worth it, as well as the great rates.

I’ve been renting here for a year and I always checked on my storage once a month or so, checked it last month and door fell off track still yet to have anyone fix it so I can’t access my unit left calls and emails, took key to the one morning they stated maintenance was coming to fix when I came back for key it was still sitting on counter and manager stated they didn’t have time to get to it but that’s not what u told me when I was standing in office (Rodney)they were on their way to fix it. Still after a month no one calls until they see I had paid for this month so I wonder will I be getting a prorate since I haven’t been able to access unit. Odeia was helping me to an extent but clearly no one cares since it’s not their belongs in storage. First and last time renting from them not professional at all and definitely won’t recommend anyone to go there.

Terri is always helpful around the property. Anytime she sees me she ask if I need anything and a genuine interest in the customers on the property.

Rodney D. Garrett assisted me over the phone in the Facility. I was directed there by U-Haul for storage space. He was very knowledgeable of the storages and there sizes. He took me to see the spaces also. I was Thankful to have such good assistance.

Rodney Garrett is slick and quick to sell and slow to inform. You have to constantly ask questions to get the solid truth, and even then you dont. I specifically asked for him to remove a insurance fee for February when I purchased a unit in January. I pay in cash and he insists on having a card on file. I had to ask two questions for him to finally say its for insurance. I recently found that I was charged 14.00 and it put my account in serious overdraft after I specifically asked if there was a deadline to pay in February. When I asked he said no but he still put me on autopay. I am no in overdraft by -20 plus the 14 because of his lies. I would highly advice to read every line and look past his smile. (P.S. its funny how after he charged me hes somehow NEVER in his office.)

If i could give no star I would they have pest big Rats in the units i wouldnt recommend to no body

Ive been renting a unit from over a year and half and my storage has been broken into 4 times.... today made number 4. Insurance company wants an itemized list of boxes of shoes and clothes like thats possible with a toddler... I recommend new management,security, taller gates and motion lights. I dont have anywhere to take my things but I cant wait to stop paying my mo ey for me to keep getting ROBBED.

The staff were so friendly and caring it made me want to rent a unit there. I stopped even considering to look elsewhere. The property is very clean and the manager was very concerned that it is just me and my two small Minor children. She made sure she selected a unit for me which is close to the office and restrooms. I truly felt that she (Ms.Sandra) put herself in my shoes and chose the best spot she had available for me with a price a can afford. This is to me an A+ storage facility.

Rodney was great! He got me in at the last minute and was still patient while we found the right one that I needed he gets 5 stars but I only put 4 stars because the gate hours needs to be extended from opening up a little earlier and closing a little late because when youre moving youll tend to run over time with transporting their things to the storage and if youre on a time limit you might be messed up until the next day 24hr gate access will be great in the future everyones time is not on the same time but it would be great for the convenience of everyones time but its just a thought overall thanks to the service Im also a returning customer from 2 yrs prior to this time love the upgrade and Rodney keep up the great work with a great attitude always!!!!
